A delusion!

A delusion!
We stayed in this hotel one night during our honeymoon in Scotland and we thought, seeing the site, we were facing quite another structure.
Not ugly but gloomy, the most common comment between my husband and I during our stay was that it looked like the Overlook Hotel from Kubrick's Shining movie.
The lounge room is cold and too big, the restaurant wants to appear high-class but it is not: during the evening, when uncorking the bottle of wine, the waitress dropped the cork under the table without bothering to pick it up and in the morning later, at breakfast, he was still there.
The dishes were truly some of the worst eaten in Scotland, the staff remained cold and distant.
Our room was not bad but to get there you had to go down a very long and really creepy dark corridor. On the morning of check out, among other things, the lift broke and we were forced to walk two flights of stairs, complete with heavy luggage without anyone bothering to ask us if we needed a hand or simply show up!
They didn't even put up a message that the lift was out of order: nothing at all.
Last but not least, we took a single espresso after dinner, paying the beauty of 3.50 pounds.
In short, I would never go back or recommend it to anyone.
