I feel incredibly lucky that I had an opportunity to play the National!
From the time you arrive until the time you leave, you are treated like royalty. Everything about this golf facility is top-class. It's not a big surprise that the parking lot looks like a luxury car dealership.
The course is beautiful and VERY challenging. Spend some time on the range on the days leading up to your visit and put a few extra balls in your bag!
When you chip from one side of the green to the other and then three-putt for triple bogey, take a deep breath and enjoy the scenery.

Amazing course that you never get tired of. Always in great shape. The grounds crew do an amazing job and you never see them! Noooooo distractions!!!
The Fazio Lounge and the dining room are gorgeous and the food is out of this world good! I have never had a thing that was not cooked then presented to perfection!!

Possibly the most beautiful and certainly the toughest gold course I have ever played. Off the black tees it was brutal but also great fun. Amazing friendly staff, a superb clubhouse and welcoming members. Loved it

This prestigious and private golf club is home to a championship course that's often accorded the status of No.1 layout in the country. As with many great courses, there's an understated simplicity about The National, which initially conceals its many challenges. An excellent Fazio design!

This is my first year back at The National after a 25 year abscence. I joined back in the mid 1980's and sold in 1990. I have played golf all over the world including recently Cabot Cliffs / Links. The National is a true golf lover's paradise. The Board, Rob Roxborough and his team has created a truly unique experience from outstanding and challenging golf, to the superb client service and finally to the amazing food. I highly recommend joining when shares become available. I am glad I did !

They must be writing their own reviews.

The place is ok, but definitely nowhere on par with HGCC. At first the food looks good, but then it gets tiresome, the same menu and presentation over and over again. It s like being at a Senior s Residence.

On occasion, I dealt with some of the staff who are very nice. But the one person that stood out as a total dinosaur was Neil Wilner. I remembered him when he worked at The Eagle s Nest. After he left, that club came back to life. I m not sure why he s still employed at this place because he has the sensibilities and class of an armadillo.

For ambience and service, there are much better clubs one can go to.

Rated one of the 100 golf clubs in the world and always at the top of the list for Canada. Usually number one. The golf experience is the main goal of this course. You won't be disappointed with the never our guest experience however. The dinner room and Fazio Lounge are a treat! Amazing executive chef prepares inspiring plates from the finest and freaked ingredients. Tradition and honour are held in high regard at this course and the staff don't miss the mark in delivering just that. If you get a chance to play the course as a guest, you are in for a treat. If you get a chance to be a member, get ready to join a course that will challenge you and your game everyday.
