A must GOTO. Entry is FREE and it is the best value in London. Where else can you see mater pieces like the ones hanging here.
Outstanding art gallery, all the classics and really good collection. Is Free admission, but be sure to leave a donation since it's worth a lot more that some paid art museums I have been in. Very nice layout and great space inside to admire the art.
It wasn't open soon in the morning when I arrived. I had to wait for 20min
It is a "Must" while you visit London and you need plenty of time for this!
Wonderful gallery, full of the good the bad and the ugly.
The national gallery..... Superb... Just superb.... Recommended
Brilliant place, beautiful building & fantastic art
Spectacular collection of paintings through the ages
Oh please, as if the national gallery needs a google review by me
As a person that is not very artistic this place is awesome
It is with the utmost pleasure we soak in the atmosphere and beauty of the Great Masters...
I find a delight in not only observing the wonderful paintings in this museum, but to notice the admiring and pondering faces of young and old who enter this magnificent building.
I have been coming here for decades and it never ceases to amaze me. Thank you for that.
Beautiful interior and exterior, beautiful collection and free admission!
beautiful collection of paintings. went mainly to see the "sunflowers"by van gogh.
A magnificent setting for the National Art collection. Good visiting exhibitions in the Sainsbury Wing. The National Portrait gallery is adjacent. Good shop and refreshments.
Huge museum full of exhibitory paintings from all over the world. If you are a consensour of art then I definitely recommend going, you will not be disappointed. Each painting has a description below depicting what the paintings represent and includes a brief history for those that are not familiar; so anyone can enjoy the exhibition.
One of the best collection of arts in the world. Enjoy then thoroughly.
Art history and culture! Perfect place.. I'm in love
A fabulous collection of old and new great to visit for short or long periods or just to browse sensational works of art
Honestly the best place ive been to in my trip to london. A must see especially if you love art like me. If you think the paintings inside is amazing head outside to Trafalgar square where street artists draw and perform as beautifully if not more!
One of the biggest Art museums I've ever visited in my life, although some problems did arise while visiting, like not being able to find the artworks I was looking for even after following the instructions, asking a staff member and even checking the website.
Huuuuugeeee! Takes a day if you want to have a real art experience! Also, worth visiting the portrait gallery behind this building.
Great collection a lot of free stuff and special exibts
Everything is TOP: the location (Trafalgar Square), the building, ..., and most of all the quality of the works of art.
I and my son enjoyed the visit very much. Several works are outstanding. We liked it that the works are put in a chronological order and in a respectfull way.
Huge gallery with a wide collection of paintings all the way from the renaissance to modern 19th century. We spent 3 hours there and still couldn't finish visiting the major pieces. Too sad I am not a local. Highly recommend the audio guide.
Possibly the best art gallery... In the world. Where do you start, this place has it all: Van Goghs, Cezannes, Constables, Picassos, and major works by them too, not the bits no one's seen. Fancy looking at the Sunflowers? They've got it. The Hay Wain? It's there. Waterlilies? Check. All well laid out and with great staff on hand. There are traditional tours and audio tours available. Oh, and did I mention IT'S FREE!
Nice and impressive monument at the heart of London on the trafalgar square , you cannot miss this monument which is visible from far..many activity are going around and out side like publick singing , dancing , floor paintings on the trafalgar squre.
Always fabulous, a gallery you can keep going back to. The history of England in portraits.
It s great art museum. You have to try. it s absolutely free. Cafe restaurant inside. Good stuff and will help you a lot.
Simply stunning, so much of knowledge and history, its free to visit and there is no entry fee, no huge queue. You can give your entire day still most of things are not covered. Outside you has Trafalgar Square - a great place to have fun and you can spend entire day here.
Very beautiful and a lot of variation in the paintings!
Amazing place with great art for free. You can see artists such as Picasso or Monet.
Fill your soul, just go here and marvel at what humanity can produce
Extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff. I visited this week with a 5 and a 2 year old grandchild. Getting in from the rain with a buggy was made very simple. Whenever I asked for directions to a particular painting every room warden seemed to know exactly how to find it and how best to get there with a buggy. The staff running the special children's activity were great despite it being so busy. The atmosphere generally was so welcoming. A great experience. Thank you.
A must visit. Although I was disappointed that I couldn t find some of the masterpieces. But overall it was quite a rush. The museum is quite fascinating with an incredible front view.
The masterpieces on display are really highly recommended. More convenient to visit than other big museum. I will return to it next time in London.
The national gallery is truly an embodiment of the word national. It is truly national in the sense of its scope. I have been to the gallery many times. And each time the new exhibitions truly blow me away. They are honestly awe inspiring and amazing to sit there and wonder about all the things that have happened on this planet we inhabit.
Huge gallery with so much on display and good variety. It's a lot of walking but many rooms have places to sit and relax for a moment.
Its an art gallery, and its free. If that's the kind of thing your into then your likely to enjoy yourself. This place is not overrun by children so it can be a fairly relaxing place to visit. My girlfriend and I enjoyed ourselves.
Excellent and innovative exhibition of Leonardo's virgin on the rocks. Cafe experience average b
Excellent gallery with large collection of art and special exhibitions
Great apportunity to see famous and not so famous arts for free. Thank you guys
It is almost incredible that this museum is free, with all the things it shows inside.
This gallery has an amazing collection of art. Make sure you have half a day free here because there is a lot to see. It can be a little confusing since there are so many rooms at this place that go all over. This is a must see if you are visiting London!
Superb collection and excellent exhibitions. Free entry but make sure you donate! Very helpful and friendly staff.
Wonderfull experience great thought provoking pieces and amazing masterpieces
Sensational! Ring up for information on exhibits or look online. You won't be disappointed, even if you spend hours canvassing the wonders within. This is highly recommended for any Londoner or traveller.
What a magnificent place! There are so many wonderful paintings here. They've got a lot of Matisse, Van Gogh, Monet, and Manet paintings, so if you're into any of those, you'll definitely enjoy your visit. We weren't able to see all their exhibits, but the ones we did see were great. If you're visiting during summer, you'll be happy to know that they keep the place nice and cool, too. A nice retreat during the heatwave. The shops also have a lot of art supplies, so if you end up feeling inspired by your visit, they have everything you need.
An excellent art collection, with some wonderful works of art
Great viewing as social distancing gives you room to view. Lots of great masterpieces well hung.
Good experience, beautiful palace and great collection
A great museum with free entry near Cardiff City centre. There are some great Monet's art works here.
There's lot of tourist here .. very pack but theres very friendly people around
Amazing collection rather spoilt by the mobs of people who stand close to the works for what feels like hours. Requires a lot of patience to enjoy the art.
A museum it's definitely worth visiting, especially because it's free. Despite the big crowd coming in, we had no problem at all in visiting whatever we wanted to see and the staff was nice and fun when it came to explaining were specific pieces of art were.
Brilliant collection of art housed in a great building. Some stunning works of art here.
Relaxing and enjoyable place to while away the afternoon. Thought provoking.
