The National Gallery is located at Trafalgar Square in Westminster City.
It's a free gallery and the collection of paintings are fantastic. If you plan to walk through this gallery, you'll be overwhelmed.

You can check on the gallery's website to see what paintings of that artist they have, or what artists are present at the time.
It's another must see attraction in London
I wish they had more places to sit. After walking the endless corridors and standing looking at the beauty it would be nice to go back to your favorites and sit and enjoy. The gift shops are nice too. You can easily spend 3-hours here. So you can explore until your legs give out type of museum like The British Museum or the Louvre in France. So leave enough time to properly to be able see the collection and its great pieces of work. With it being situated in the heart of London and nearby stations such as Charing Cross tube station, Charing Cross underground and the Embankment tube station all a short walk away allows your to easily travel about london with ease, in addition, an endless amount of bus stops and buses so if you want to get somewhere you have a abundance of them to choose from and finally with areas such as Leicester Square, the River Thames, Soho, St-James park and Piccadilly Circus leading to the west end all nearby in close proximity meaning a Great day out can be had. Happy travels!

Not all the paintings were to my taste but that's the nature of art. That said, I had specifically gone to the Monet exhibition - I was not disappointed. Beautiful. Great to see them up close and personal.

The way it's set up is weird but once we asked for the beginning, oldest painting section, it was fine. Went from oldest art to modern art in chronological order. Was great. Soooo many people. Went in September. Loved the architecture of the building and the ornate interior.

Im not that into art but due to it was "a must see" in my check list I decided to go and have a look. Free entry and LOTS of paintings - most of them very very well made and some even 3x the height of myself. I just cant imagine how much work that has been put into these things. The whole building itself is a masterpiece and must have cost well over billions of pounds. Just the architecture itself is worth the look.

I love the National Gallery and have done all my life. Just the Constables and Turner's on their own are wonderful, never mind all the other lovely rooms. And completely free. A huge source of national pride

Cleverly curated
I enjoyed it and found staff helpful
Still stand back in awe at picture over 600 years old and still able to reach our eyes and hearts
We were in the presence of genius and beauty
I was a concession so I can see that some would object to full cost
But not I !!!!

The national gallery has a great range of artwork from all the way back in 1200 to recent years. There is also a good range of styles throughout the years like the older religious paintings and portraiture to newer landscapes and cityscapes and a few abstract pieces. Therefore, I would definitely recommend this gallery to anyone who wants to see a wide variety of art and discover what they like. I also recommend the gallery to artists because there are seats in most rooms and you are allowed to bring a stool to sit and draw on if there is any art that inspires you. I certainly enjoyed to see the different dates and styles of art and found what I liked!

Brilliant venue. I came here for a company event. The auditorium held around 300 people comfortably. Then we used one of the rooms upstarts for drinks and canapes. If you are looking to host an event... give the national gallery a try.

Awful place to visit. Quite pointless going there as you won't actually get to see any of the works.

So for God's sake ban photography and get these bloody people out of the way!

And opening hours are still the same as they were 50 years ago but visitor numbers must have risen tenfold. So start charging and use income to pay for more staff to allow 24 hour opening.

This is the 21st century.
