Very child unfriendly when busy at weekends - had to ask someone to please not sit on my 6 year old! Too many people taking selfies instead of actually looking at the pictures.
Amazing gallery having having vast collections of classic paintings. Added bonus is the free admission.
Stunning collection, beautifully displayed. Plus, it's free (but please make a donation anyway).
I love the National Gallery, so much to see and immerse yourself in emotionally and spiritually
Free admission and amazing collection of paintings.
Free!!!$$ lots of History. Favourite was the Tudors rooms
Huge collection of masterpieces, including some iconic ones. Free guided tour was good (11:30am and 2:30pm daily). It didn't cover a lot of pieces but the guide went through each piece in great detail.
Lovely place , beautiful architecture and a very good art collection. Some of the art work .
There's a lot to see. Make sure to have plenty of time to walk around.
The national gallery is a beautiful collection of old paintings.
Well curated and easy to follow routes. And it's free, allows us retired folks to drop in frequently as our frailties allow.
Great collection. Servises are always nice and informative
Awesome art gallery. Wide variety, well organised. My tour guide was excellent. Five stars!
Many artworks that I studied about are in this museum. Great experience.
I wish I had a place like that when I was a child fantastic place
Amazing place. Busy on weekends, I d recommend going on a weekday to avoid the crowds.
Awestrucking paintings for art lovers and no entry fee.
Fees applicable only to special exhibitions.
The family had a mixed reaction to this. I had fixed agenda, with the exhibits and has planned in advance. In other words I knew exactly what we were there to see. The kids liked it but my wife was bored. The layout was relatively straightforward which was just as well as none of the apps on the Google Play store where of much help. It wasn't crowded when we were there did we had an excellent chance to see some masterpieces of western art.
Some of the world's greatest masterpieces are here. Take it in a little at a time over a few visits, you can't enjoy it in one go, it's overwhelming.
This is a must on anyone's visit to London - a treasure trove of art with free admittance. The gallery houses so many historically important artworks it's overwhelming to take in on one visit. I suggest an audio tour to help guide through the key artwork - or go with a knowledgeable friend. Once you get used to the layout, it's easy to navigate, but on first visit it may feel like a maze. Pick up a map at the desk.
Extremely touristic place, so popular, you can visit it again and again without doubt
Wonderful and rare art. You need at least 2 days if you want to see all the displays.
The place can be overwhelming with an awesome collection of art .
Always a pleasure to visit. Chris Ofili's Weaving Magic is stunning
Wonderful place. I always discover something I hadn't seen before.
Masterpieces from whole around the world in beautiful historic building. There isn't anything else to add. You can spend there days and days...
Free to enter, great works of historical art. The interior of the building is amazing too
lovely place for the most beautiful oldest pictures
Go by yourself, unless your attention span is perfectly attuned to your companion.
So much to see.
Went to see the Manga exhibition, the gallery is always a great building to visit and the exhibition was interesting with up to date anime/manga including a giant attack on Titan head!
