The service is great the food is good and the ambience fabulous
great food with quality ingredients. the service was helpful and kind.
What an amazing place! Awesome steak, friendly service, and the bananas foster is to die for.
Food is delicious, great selection of drinks in a variety of prices. Nate is an absolute gem of the Metropolitan Grill, he made our night with outstanding customer service and kind, friendly conversation throughout the night. Would definitely go back just for him! But the rest of the staff is also very friendly (unless you show the gift card before you order)
Absolutely amazing food. Great atmosphere, and amazing staff.
I got the prime rib. Easily the best I've ever had. Just sayin.
Amazing service atmosphere a bit spendy but worth it
The steaks are amazing and melt in your mouth. Be prepared to drop about 100.00 per person though. Friendly staff.
Very, very pricey but steak was excellent. Four stars because of the price. If a little more affordable then they would be five stars.
Great Happy hour.... Advertised as the best in SEA... Might be! Great Burger deal
The service was excellent and venue was professional. The atmosphere was a bit noisy to me, rather than a calm quiet setting. There's lots of motion about the place, which adds to the noise and bustle which made it appear crowded. It wasn't More
Brought an out of town friend here for a truly exceptional dining experience, and it did not disappoint!
Best steak in town. Polished service and old steak house history.
Top notch, first rate, super place. Highly recommended for an excellent dining experience.
Sean is an excellent server! Highly recommend this restaurant for a great steak. Not sure if the price versus a Ruth Chris or comparable steak house is with it though, you definitely pay for the ambiance but I'm not complaining!
Two words: Flank Steak. I know... who goes to a high end steak place like this and orders a cut like flank steak? Since I discovered it a couple years ago, I haven't ordered anything else. I've had most of their steaks, including that shockingly expensive trio of Kobe style filets. The flank steak is by far my favorite. You can't begin to appreciate the depth of flavor until you've tried it. Have them cook it more than you'd do other cuts. At least medium well. I actually do well done on the flank (well done at The Met is medium at a common steak house.) They don't always mention it's an option, but get it with the shredded potato cakes and a side of au jus. It'll be an experience of rich flavor unlike anything else you've experienced.
Surprise dinner from my son and daughter in law...they took the moms out to the met for an amazing dinner followed by the Nutcracker st McCall hall. Food was amazing and was the pear lemon drop drink. A must visit if your in down town seattle.
I went there for happy hour and it was awesome! The place was rocking for a Tuesday at 5pm and they have a great bar menu that is a fantastic value up to 6pm. The beef skewers were tender with great seasoning and it blew me away how much food for $7 as the quality was A+.
I am from out of town to Seattle and I go to a ton of steak houses and this by far was one of the best! The staff is so friendly, food was great, prices very reasonable, and I will absolutely come back when in Seattle.
A special call out to Kevin the Maitre D who went above and beyond making the experience great.
Had a great time for our anniversary. The service and food was outstanding. We even had the opportunity for some good conversation with the staff, even in the age of distancing.
Just a great traditional steakhouse. My only complaint: no dry-aged beef at lunch.
Hands down one of the best restaurants I have visited. At the time of our visit, the maitre'd personally set up our bananas foster, and hailed us a cab at the end of our meal. That was exceptional. The food was heaven. Worth every penny for such a fantastic experience.
Had a wonderful time celebrating 4 graduations, 2 WSU and 2 UW Physician Assistants. All our steaks were cooked to perfection. The crab cakes and scallops appetizers were delicious, highly recommend. All the staff were friendly and attentive to our every needs. We love the Met!
The Filet Mignon was perfect! I had it with an Australian Lobster Tail, OMG it's to die for. Unfortunately, I can't give them 5 stars as the waitress got my wife's steak wrong, and to top it off, the waitress poured some kind of steak sauce into her steak without even asking. She also said a comment like "you well down people are hard to please". Seriously? We are paying good money for our food, we expect good quality food and service as well! Besides our incident with the waitress, food was delicious.
Excellence and grace at every turn, everything was perfect!
Came here for my SO's 21st birthday. The food was immaculate. My dirty martini was delicious, but their Manhattan tastes like cough syrup. Order the creme brulee or the coconut cream cake.
5 star restuarant with fake american 5 star service. Had a lady serve us and she was continuously displeased serving us.
Horrible service, but I do not use service in my food rating cuz to me its all about taste. Best steak ive had since Japanese Kobe in Japan.
Overrated and overpriced I had a salad and oysters On the Half-Shell those are the smallest oysters I've ever seen especially for the price. Knowing we are so close to the water and how Seattle has access to some of the freshest fish and oysters I would expect them to have done way better. I was here for my brother's birthday dinner a couple Fridays ago and truly just expected more it was mediocre at best. I do understand they have great steak I did not try any of the steaks. I did have a sip of some sort of alcoholic drink that included mint leaves that was okay I'll double check on exactly what it was and I'll post it later. The gentleman sitting close to me had some sort of calamari fried calamari I believe that was okay although he didn't eat most of it. Another one of the gentleman at the table sent his plate back twice to be reheated and he did mention that because it was so expensive he would expect it to be completely on point. I believe there were about 20 of us there in that room and I think we were really enjoying each other's company and having a good time so there weren't too many complaints on the food. The service was great I believe on my bill of $90 there was a gratuity tip minimum 13.94. The service was okay the servers scene 2 be right there if you had a question or concern
Excellent Food!! Steaks were awesome. I had the filet but our table had several other cuts and all said they were excellent. Wait staff very knowledgeable and attentive. Very pricy, but worth the treat.
Slow service, felt like they judged us by being younger adults and so they served our table slower and with less care. I have been here before when servers are extremely tentative. Our crab cakes came out as an appetizer and was full of shell. Was so off put by the first round of food we decided to leave because I didn t want to drop another 200 dollars on steak. Two stars because the teriyaki tips were very good.
Good but overpriced - I had better bone-in filets in my life for less than $86.
Great steaks.. Japanese, American and Japanese American beef all local farms.. great host, Todd was very informative, nice and on top of his job. Pricey, but you get what you pay for, its worth it!
Well it's not cheap. But you know that old saying about getting what you pay for? So true in this case. I had the "American Wagyu" New York strip. To call it "good" would be a terrible understatement. The organic baby spinach salad was the perfect first course. And if you like sourdough bread - I do, so very much - they've got you covered.
Also excellent service. The first question the waiter asked was whether or not we had a time constraint - which we did as we were headed to see the Seattle Symphony later in the evening. And we made it with time to spare! I will definitely go back as soon as my credit card recovers from the abuse.
Our favorite downtown restaurant! The BEST service and of course, great food, too. Their chateaubriand is the standard among which all others should be judged! So delicious! And the cheese sauce served on the baked potato is so tasty! My favorite appetizer is the almond crusted scallops - they are not to be missed! Although I didn't have it on this visit, their pear martini on the specialty cocktail menu is the bomb.
Always great service and the best happy hour burger deal in town. I've loved the Met for 25 years.
this place is our celebration destination. Great experience, great food, great staff. Craig, the maitre d is great! be sure to make reservations and drop in early for a drink at the bar.
the bar was huge and the steaks were great. Mine was cooked perfectly and looked amazing and mouthwatering. They have a truly beautiful bar that is massive and has some great options. A great spot with great food drinks and staff
The American Waygu Filet is hands down the best steak I have ever had. The "apple pie" is really really more deconstructed apple pie, and the apples are flame roasted table side. It's both fun and delicious!
Plus their bar is fantastic. If you want it they have it. I recommend using the server's knowledge and stretching your boundaries. Tell them what you like and then say you're willing to experiment and try something new. I've been coming her for 5+ years and never been disappointed.
Terrible experience. Was there for Happy Hour expecting a taste of what might have been in the main restaurant. The menu read well but the quality and execution was awful. Beef tenderloin screwers wrapped in bacon were tough as leather, certainly wasn't tenderloin but a cheap cut of meat keeping the food cost inline. Roast beef sandwiches again were filled with a tough cheap cut of meat making them inedible. Boiled prawns in beer were tiny, with three to a plate and finally the Buffalo Chicken wings were pathetic and tasteless. Overall a very poor representation of what is supposed to be one of Seattles top steak houses. If you are going to try and attract new clientele by offering a happy hour menu then get it right and be proud of what you are serving. Try and knock each dish out of the park if you want us to step across the line and eat on the other side. With our happy hour experience we will never cross that line... You guys obviously don't get it! Your only saving grace was a decent gin and tonic, but then that's pretty hard to mess up... Won't be back..
We were recommended this place by a friend and we couldn't be more glad about our decision to go! Wow, the steaks are truly something else.
My only gripe was that it could be described as expensive.
Wonderful service, great food, bit pricey but 100% worth it.
Amazing steak, great ambiance and great service. Will definitely be returning here next time I'm in Seattle.
Even in the middle of a crowded happy hour, Metropolitan Grill gives off an air of timeless elegance. Upon entering the restaurant, you'll be greeted by a wall of celebrities who've also graced this space. That said, the price range for celebrities doesn't quite match the average Seattle-ite, therefore I'd recommend you join in for happy hour and indulge in an excellent wagyu beef burger for a much more discounted price.
Look. This is simple. If you want a fantastic piece of meat cooked right with attentive waiters and a solid atmosphere, then stop reading this and go there. Had the best prime rib of my life last night.
Amazing steak place. You get what you pay for. I love the service. It makes the experience.
If I was richer I would eat here more.
Awesome game day brunch and we'll priced food and marys! However, went back the next home game and the food was not as desireable. Tasted like a totally different cook/ chef. So my 4 stars has dropped to less than 3
Amazing food destination.Outstanding experience. This place is amazing! The food at Met Grill is excellent, especially the desserts.Classy, classy, respectful service.
I was very underwhelmed by this place. Very very expensive and just okay food. The service was 5 star though.
I am so sorry that this is SUPER delayed, but my boyfriend and I were there March 12th. We had the best experience ever, and enjoyed the hospitality from the young lady who served us. I wish I remembered her name, but she was amazing and recommended so many things for us to try. Especially the carrot cake. So good! We stopped there after checking into our hotel, and I'm so glad that the Renaissance Hotel recommended you guys!
Coming to The Met is a treat, always. The wait staff is exceptional, the food follows suit. You feel like royalty when you visit. Every time I've gone I see someone well-known. It always adds an extra excitement. Get the American wagu filet. It's totally worth it. And save room for dessert!
This Restaurant is good but put some prices next to your "menu" i couldn't see how much anything costs like bruh this would all be pocket change i could buy this place out just put some prices next to your menu items on your website, Thank you have a blessed day King of Guatemala signing off.
I wanted to thank Rob, Kyle, and the Met crew for an amazing experience! I attended one of their biweekly cocktail classes and I can t recommend it enough. If you re looking for a safe respite to enjoy great food, drink and company, this is the place!
This is probably the first steak house I have been to which has been unable to cook the meat the correct time. We ordered two steaks medium rare. One of them very much overcooked, almost well done (and far too dry as a result), the other slightly undercooked. Fries that came with it were only ok. On a positive note, the wild mushrooms were great and the service was friendly. But given the high price tag, simply a disappointment.
Had the privilege to eat here for a bachelor party. The food and service was first class. I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for an old school steak joint.
Excellent food and service. Great place for business lunches
I've never had a bad or average experience here. They top my expectations every time. Thanks for the amazing dinners.
Best steakhouse in Seattle. Superb service from every staff member, and the food is fantastic!
Great steak salad and the dessert!
The wine is kindof expensive~
Unbelievable steak house! Expensive...but worth every penny!
Food is fine, but vastly overpriced imo. Service was kind of slow. Can get just as good for far less elsewhere.
Be prepared to spend some money...but also be prepared for it to be well worth it. The bone in Ribeye was incredible, as were all the accompanying sides. Great place to take a date or celebrate.
Metropolitan Grill always has good service and the best happy hour burger deal in Seattle.
The best ever blackened prime rib. I could help them on their baked sauce
My Favorite steakhouse in Seattle. Always celebrate my apraxia days here with the best steak, great wine and lovely company.
I love the interior design always remind me of NYC, the service is wonderful!
Over the top amazing. Thank You Team Metropolitan Grill AAA+++
Above average. If this is supposed to be the best steakhouse in Seattle.............had the 42 Oz Ribeye. Flavor above average to average....place seems a bit dated not in the good way. Reminds me of an eighties place...I don't think that is what they're going for. Can't comment on other steakhouses. Was in Seattle for business.
I was in Seattle on business and we wanted to have a fine dining experience at a steakhouse. I am a steak lover and have been to many steakhouses. This is by far the BEST steakhouse I've been to. I tried their speciality Waygu beef sample which gives you four 4oz of their best filet selections. It melted like butter in my mouth and the flavor of each steak was just divine! The hostess was so personable and the service was great! We had a phenomenal experience and looking forward to our next return in December.
good food and service but
just not worth the money
Some of the best food I have ever had! The steak was perfect and the bacon appetizers are fabulous. The service was wonderful.
