05/12/2019 table booked for 7:30pm after going to see the opera "Carmen" on our 1st anniversary:)
In total i paid $350 (with small tip) for disappointing food!
For starter we had Japanese A5 Ohmi Carpaccio @ $22 & Giant Coconut Prawns @ $19, which were over cooked sadly! followed by soup & a salad
For the main course we ordered Grilled King Salmon*
Lemon chive beurre blanc @ $48 which had long left the sea & dried out on some beach somewhere as looked & tasted dry!
For me i ordered Hokkaido 6oz Snow beef @ $125 served with Brussel sprouts & 2 whole carrot, now the Snow beef was to die for but the veg were rock bloody hard!
I do have other small issues, but in short was not worth the monies & i will not be going back!

Compared to Ruth and Wolfgang, it feels like a different kind of steak. Because it is not baked at high temperature, I am more homely (I'm sorry for not being a good expression), it is really delicious! Services can also be polite and experience the right service in America ^ ^

I thought I would venture to down town for my wife's birthday. I have been to the Met in the past and always had a good experience. Service and food were up to par but we were disappointed at less than casual attire worn by the clientele. Maybe I'm old fashioned but if I'm paying $300 for a dinner I do not think I need to stand or sit next to people who are dressed for a midnight run to the quickie mart. Hoodies, sweatpants, concert t shirts, baseball caps, sneakers and crocs. I've seen better dressed people at Red Robin. Severely disappointed in the atmosphere.

This place is a landmark for sure. Great experience. Service is mostly good but some wait staff are better than others. If youre going to spend this kind of money for a steakhouse id look at the menu ahead and have an idea of what youre wanting. All good food but you could get a $40 steak or a $120 steak. Good to know the difference instead of asking. I didnt get much help there but i was looking at Japanese imported beef only and knew what i wanted. After eating it I can tell you it would be just as good to get the cheaper house options if you dont want to spend the cash. Japanese snow beef was amazing if you can tell the difference but the $40 steak is worth going for as well. I will be back very soon.

It can feel like a betrayal to get salad at such a renowned steak joint. But true to form, it was expertly prepared, warm chicken and all. And the drinks are always consistently made and appropriately strong. The happy hour is well planned and the variety means repetition doesn't detract from the quality. As an added bonus, being such a staple of the business meeting circuit means you never know what friendly faces you'll run into.

Great service. The waiter kept my wife within her no gluten and no dairy diet. Lobster Bisque ($11) was perfect. I tried the filet trio ($125) and found the Omri(?) filet to be a little gamey, but good with bernase. The other two filets (prime and American Waygu) were great. My wife had the lobster ($75) and it was perfect. Finished with a chef special banana and choc-chip bread pudding ($10), which was great.

Best steak I have ever eaten. Service was incredible. They managed to smuggle the flowers I ordered out to the table even though we arrived almost 30 minutes early. Made for a great anniversary for my wife and myself.
The creme brulle gift for us to share was the icing in the cake. Can't wait to go back.

This place is fantastic, my favorite steak place and quite possibly my favorite restaurant in greater Seattle. The wine list is top notch, both for local and generally American wines. The beef is beyond belief particularly the snow beef. Great good old service. Prepare to spend but if that is ok even just for the night, you will have an incredible meal.

Absolutely great. The wife and I held our first anniversary there and already booked our second. The food was remarkable, service wonderful, and a place I would reccomend highly. Valet's are quick, it is quiet but not too quiet, speedy but not fast food. Awesome

There is no comparison to Metropolitan Grill. A stand alone. The superb food, the superb and professional service. Places like the Metropolitan are far too rare to find these days. We always make a point of coming in while in Seattle. Worth every penny!!

Want to have steak ruined for you? The answer should be yes. You'll never be able to enjoy something like Outback ever again, because you've finally tasted what common cuts of beef should be, and some things you may rarely see elsewhere like Wagyu beef.

Others have covered points regarding the excellent food rather well, so I'll mention logistics. Reservations aren't too horribly rough, but I do recommend trying to get them in a good 3-4 days in advance if you can. If you don't mind a super short walk, there are tons of parking opportunities nearby which will save you on their valet parking. Like most steakhouses of this caliber, the appetizer (and steak) portions are pretty huge. Enjoy!

We were at happy hour. The food and beverages we're excellent as always. I was, however, very disappointed with our server. She was not friendly, which was disappointing since all of my previous experiences at the Met have been very positive with everyone. She wasn't very attentive, didn't check in much. I tried to get her attention for an additional drink, but it took so long, we gave up. I was served a drink in a chipped glass. There was no apology from her. Her lack of excellence in customer service really impacted my experience. It has made me a little leary about the Met.

They're 10 oz ribeye was very flavorful and tender and their New York cheesecake is to die for. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that's looking for lunch or dinner and downtown Seattle.

Kevin Bosley and Michael Bosley the best employees. All Employees are great even parking. Celebrities eat here what else can I say of course it's the best steak and food in Seattle, and very great bar.

Hyped for the price. They should be able to dazzle for a steak that's $150. I can make better at home using an electric stove top to sear and my oven to bake to a medium rare. I won't ever go back with my own money. Hanks in Vegas/Henderson, NV and Echo & Rig in Las Vegas/Summerlin, NV were the only places I could say I was dazzled by expensive steaks.

At its price point, the expectations are high. The service needs to be slightly more attentive, and one of the steaks at our table was a bit overcooked (medium instead of medium rare). They're eager to fix issues like that, but again, at the price point, making the mistake in the first place earns a 4 instead of 5 star review.

Went there for our first time last night on our 15 year anniversary. The food was delicious as expected. We enjoyed chatting with Lathrop who served us. It was a great over all experience. I highly recommend.

Came here for dinner last night. All around a classic steak house with fine cuts of beef. Had the Ohmi beef filet, which was well marbled and had great flavor. Extensive wine list and attentive service. John Howie is still my favorite Seattle area steakhouse with their specialty cuts, but the Met is a Seattle institution and well deserved in

Entering this restaurant, I knew that the standard was high for this restaurant. I was rather impressed with the quality of steak here at Metor. The drunken Ribeye steak was amazing. I plan on coming back here again for our company's next business trip. Well worth the price.

Nothing but great things to say about this place, I was visiting from Canada at the time and had a night on the town in Seattle with a lady friend of mine. With it being a Friday night and not having a reservation we thought it would be impossible to get a table at anytime soon but that wasn't the case, within 2 minutes of us walking through the door we were properly treated and shown to our table. Our waitor Jim was amazing he made sure we got our drinks and fresh bread right away and when it came time to order he went through and explained all the different dishes with different cuts of meat and the appropriate way to have them cooked. All in all amazing service everyone was super nice and caring, we were in and out of there within an hour And on top of that one of the best steaks I've ever had. Keep up the good work guys I'll defenitly be back next time I'm in Seattle!!
