I have never had a customer experience worse than MetGrill. I was a regular here, going every wed - fri evening, but then discovered that they had shady tab paying rules. I walked away and will NEVER return. I ve even spoken to the manager and received no resolution of their shady practices. Never again will I spend my money at MetGrill.

Oh my God! Bruno was the best server ever! Over the top service from him. They need to double his wages. Food was amazing and the best restaurant experience in Seattle. Oh and the steaks are out of this world.

Everything was cooked to perfection, the wait staff courteous, and the dining area was clean. In the interest of packing more people into every corner possible, we were taken to a back room thru a maze of turns and steps, to be seated, away from the main dining area, called the "board room". It was more like a converted storage room with just enough stairs to stop any tableside food from being prepared tableside. So if you are at one of the 7 tables stuffed i to the corner, not only do you not get to see any of the dining room or kitchen or even light of day, but your tableside food is cooked at someone elses table then carried to yours.

Asking for olive oil to go along with the bread got starred at and regular cheap cooking oil was served in a cheap set like from target

Very good food, with spectacular meat. From very good starters, squid, scallops, lobster soup, etc.

Curious dessert is to see how they prepare flamed apple pie, which is also very good. Of course, it covers more than two people.

What I did not like were the mashed potatoes, they were not up to par.

Really like the food there. The environment is a bit old but it copes with its old fashion style of services. I think this is a great choice when you try to hold a formal parties or events.

We made it a point to stop and try Pike Place Chowder and we were not disappointed. Our big problem, which type to try? New England, is always a good start and we were very happy with our small cups and sourdough. Sitting outside in the weak, filtered sun, made the experience even better.

Great filet mignon. Tender, juicy and grilled perfectly. Wide selection of items, done just the way you order it. Prices are a bit steep, expect it to be well over a hundred for a dinner for two.

Over time, this place has won me over as my favorite steakhouse in Seattle. When I was younger, I thought this place was too old school. It wasn't until I got older did I learn to appreciate that old school charm.

The service is top notch here. If you prefer a more traditional atmosphere, they provide that with . If you're like me and like your server to be friendlier and joking around, you can get that too, but I suggest you grab a seat in the bar area. Even if you have larger groups, they have tables in there.

Everything here is good. You seriously can't go wrong with anything, but my favorites are the ribeye and the prime rib. If you're into whiskey, they got a solid collection here to choose from. If you're looking for the best steak in Seattle, look no further.

Great selection of steaks, cooked to your taste and presented perfectly. Good set of sides and dessert. We enjoyed everything and if you like brown goods I recommend the Met Manhattan.

Service is included and not part of the wait staff compensation - we felt that service was good but sometimes a little flustered/distanced.

Pro tip: bring your own wine and pay the corkage fee as while the Met has an amazing wine list it may take your bill to the next level.

Very nice place. Got a nice variety and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Got the garlic mashed potato on the side, wish I'd tried something else, they were the one thing I was a little underwhelmed by. Service was excellent and prompt, that bus boy was like a wizard appearing out of no where. Pricey, be prepared for an above average dinner for sure. If you're really looking to impress a date you can even order a $10,500 bottle of wine, but I wouldn't recommend that to the average person.

I rate the experience a 6/5.
The service is outstanding, the staff seem to love working for MG. I ve read their bios and many have worked at the Met for 20+ years. The food and wine-EPIC- that s all I can say and it all comes together in a great atmosphere. My brother and I run a business and we use the Met to set a bar on the customer service level we want to offer.

Thanks again!

The steaks were by far the best in town but that was about the only thing noteable. The drink service was incredibly slow.So slow in fact that in a 2 hour visit I only managed to get three drinks and wasn't able to pair my steak with a wine because the wine came out in time for dessert. The sever was very nice and helpful with recommendations and knowledgeable about the menu but was not attentive to the table throughout the visit. I recommend this place for the steaks and food but not for an experience.

This might be the best restaurant I've ever been to. I particularly love steaks and they have an amazing selection here. To top it off their dessert selection is top notch as well. The steak and chocolate cake may have both been the best I've ever had.

Customer service is excellent, the place is nice, but nothing great, mashed potato was ok, just regular, the steak... ordered a rib eye.. was pretty bad, tasted like a brisket not a steak, was really smooth, but dry, ordered medium rare and got medium well, flavor wise I didnt think much of it, for a prime steak house it was very bad, the steak had grill marks, but no real sear grill texture or flavor, I was invited bu a friend, so I didnt pay, but If i had to I would just make my own steak at home and it would be 10 times better. Im sorry MG, I really had high expectations for ya.

This used to be one of the premier places to dine in Seattle. Unfortunately, it's relying on its past reputation and has become not much more than a glorified Denny's (with better food choices and higher prices). It's a high-volume place where the feeling of being rushed is evidenced by food quality and service being compromised.

My friend was visiting from New York. I picked him up at Sea Tac and said he needed the best steak in Seattle. We zipped into The Met and Rachel made sure we had the perfect filet with crab on top. The sides were scrumptious. She picked the red wine and it was a perfect pairing. Thank you for making our evening so memorable with perfect attentive service and warm smiles!

It was our 30th anniversary my wife and I showed up at 7 we went to the bar and this is truly a top scale bar one of the best bourbon selections I've ever seen it reminded me of top tier bars in New Orleans. We met the maitre d Craig very helpful and knowledgeable and had good service from cocktail waitresses Jen and Leanne bartender Kyle came from behind the bar with a very good bourbon selection pick and had two delicious appetizers one almond scallops and the other a crab cocktail we were seated at 8. Scott our waiter and assistant Nate were very attentive and personable the food was outstanding I had the ribeye my wife had the big prime rib both cooked to order the lobster mac and cheese was outstanding so was the loaded russet baked potato and root vegetables. We had a nice wine to go with the meal. The creme brulee was incredible their custard was so light and flavorful one of the best we've ever had and we've been to a lot of places in Seattle and Bellevue. The valet staff was personable and while we were waiting for our vehicle Craig the maitre d came outside and shook our hands and said goodnight to us and took a photo of us outside of the Met Classy Touch!!!! Of course we would recommend this place to our friends!!!!

Great experience, my wife and I stopped in during a vacation. C19 wasn t stopping our fancy dinner in the big city! Wonderful service and phenomenal food- we had the Iceberg salad, Lobster Bisque, Crab and Prawn Fettuccine, the Japanese steak from the snow region and Burnt Cream for dessert. All excellent.

Ambiance was perfect, classy but not snobby. My wife and I plan to make this a special evening joint moving forward.

Happy Hours with Nephew. Took the 3:00 pm Bremerton Ferry , got to The Metropolitan Grill about 4:15pm. Only 2 blocks straight up from ferry terminal. We sat on n the bar to order off the Happy Hour menu. We ordered crab cakes, Fish and JoJo's, prime rib sandwich, onion rings and Clam chowder (not on Happy Hour menu). The service was excellent , the food was really good. The Happy Hour prices are very nice for the quality of service and Food. I really enjoyed the Fish and JoJo's. Loved the onion rings.(Probably The Best Ever) The crab cakes got smaller than the last time, still delicious.

Parking is inconvenient but the steaks are well worth it. Generous sizes with prices that, while expensive, are not excessive.
You'll want to make reservations if going in the evening and it might be best to leave the kids with a sitter.
