We have visited here twice now, once with a regular reservation in the dining room and the 2nd time in the bar.

Reservation visit:
Checking in was simple and easy, we made our reservation online. It was a weekday and super busy at the time 6:00, we got called on time and arrived to our table. Service was upscale the entire time. Our server was impeccable during every aspect of our meal, the attention to detail from the staff was impessive. They have server assistants? Bussers? I don't know what they call them, but everything was handled very professionly, clearing of plates, crumbs, folding our napkins if we stepped away from the table. Changing of silverware, etc.

The steakkkkkkksss were so delicious, perfectly seasoned, tender, melt in your mouth deliciousness. Cooked to the perfect requested temperature. You order sides separately, they're pretty much meant for sharing.

We spent about $190 for 2 people, 3 drinks, 1 app, 2 entrees and sides. We had a little box of leftovers. It was overall, memorable for me and my husbands special night out. We felt well taken care of.

Bar Visit:
Pretty chaotic, we came on a Thursday evening around 7:30, it was loaded with hungry people waiting for their reservation or to find a spot at the bar. It was almost impossible to find someone to help with their bar waitlist. You have to walk up to the bartenders (white jackets), they had no idea, and told us to talk to the waitresses (cocktail servers) to add our names. Eventually through the crowded space, received help from a server. Although she was crazy busy, she didn't forget about us and helped us to a table that opened up. We noticed there were only 2 servers in the bar area running around. About 4 bartenders? Full bar rail, full seating all around. It felt hectic. We ordered our dishes, their burger from the bar menu, smokey buffalo wings, prawn and crab pasta, everything was great. My pasta was HEAVILY salted, i asked for it to be remade and it was no problem for them to, it came back with no pasta this time. I told the server, she apologized and got me a side of pasta to go since i wanted everything boxed up at that point. We skipped dessert and went our ways. We paid $120 ish for 3 entrees, app, 1 beer.

It was not formal and intimate like the dining room, which was expected. But it was the best bar meal I've ever had. I hope to come during their happy hour one of these days, their menu looks delicious!

Something to note, both times we waited around 30 minutes for our entrees to arrive. Guess that's normal there?
Cocktails are delicious, strong and classy.
Food and service quality make it worth it to me. They have entrees that are more affordable within the $15-30 range, but most items are way above that.

Overall we love it here, quality food and service kept us happy both visits!

I have enjoyed the Met several times and the food is excellent and the service is incredible. BUT unless they move out of downtown Seattle or hire their own private security I will never visit again with this no police situation. So I m going to go from a once a month visitor to never again

Seattle's Best? Probably. I have been to MG twice. The first time we had reservations and waited a long time. Once we seated we were not in a great mood. Then the food came. And Wow! It was all awesome. We could barely walk out the door after enjoying such an epic meal. The second visit the reservations worked fine. The service was great. Super professional. The food was not as good the second time, but it was still solid steakhouse fare. It is worth a visit.

Seattle's Steakhouse

Seattle's Steakhouse

The Met has that old steakhouse feel. The booths are all green velvet with dark wood tables. The waiters have been serving steak for forever. The bananas foster will be flamed table side by someone who has made thousands. The walls are covered with photos of all their famous patrons, a little cheesy but adds to that traditional feel. This is your power lunch or dinner where people close deals and still eat in suits. This place is not stuffy though and you will even see some families.

The steak is great, it will be cooked how steak should be, so if you don't like it red be mindful. The crab cakes are a great place to start. Get a lobster bisque, french onion soup, or iceberg wedge for your next course. Then steak and wine, all the cuts are great and you can get a table side carving in some cuts. Then you have to end with the table side bananas foster, it is awesome. Pair it with some Louis XIII which they will also cart out and pour table side.

When we can this is where we go for steak in Seattle.
