Top place, seems quite posh. Great staff & fantastic service. Food was divine.

Fancy place, amazing food. Dressed up and came here for my birthday dinner and brought my then 10-month-old along. I was worried about that considering she's so young and it's such a nice place, but they were absolutely wonderful about her. They have high chairs and gave us a kids menu for her with crayons (she was too young to appreciate that) as well as a fresh fruit plate. To top it all off, the steaks are amaaaazing!

Visited a second time for lunch with coworkers. Lunch was also spectacular, got the roast beef au jus. Service was quick and attentive.

In short: a robbery. Friendly service. Decent sides and drinks. Very disappointing steak for the price. The porterhouse was EXTREMELY over-salted and fairly chewy. Explained this to the waiter who merely comped a dessert--haha. I likely won't be returning.

Wish I had seen the steaks on display before we got sent right to our table. But I did have an amazing large filet! It was cooked and flavored perfectly. The wine was very delicious and we ended the meal with a huge strawberry shortcake dessert!

The American wagyu fillet was particularly delicious. I made a reservation at 9, but does it make sense to make a reservation by waiting 10 minutes? I thought, and it's not very ... It's usually a little salty.

I liked the decor. Interior was attractive and beautiful. Great place. Dessert was delicious. Services was nice.

Sat at the bar on a busy week night. Though I have not been in the bar part of this place before, I was greeted like an old friend. Cocktails are expensive but not out of line. My sidecar was spectacular! Delicious food is available and they have a great happy hour, also fantastic people watching.

I eat here with two friends once a year during our annual trip to see the Seahawks. The experience is always outstanding, as it was this past weekend. The filet I had on Sunday night was among the best steaks I've ever had. We ordered apple pie a la Mode thinking we'd get a conventional dessert. Instead they brought a table side preparation, which was terrific. If you're in Seattle and want a high-end steak dinner, you can't go wrong here.

Celebrated my friends fortieth birthday. My steak was great and the service was fenominal. Would have given it 5 stars but the calamari was over cooked and tasteless. I guess it happens but when you spend 250 a couple you expect a bit more quality control.

Incredible service and outstanding experience. Craig took good care of us and prepared some incredible steak.

You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but I'd recommend the plates for 2.

Expect top-class eating service with just as equal food. I suggest for your first time to get the Prime Filet and American Wagyu @ 4oz/ea best Angus Wagyu experience ever.

It was our anniversary and we received a complimentary flan dessert to share. Delicious. Lovely presentation. Our server was fantastic , I'm ashamed I can't remember his name. He was an older gentleman. We ordered steak. We have enjoyed meals at Daniel's Broiler, Ruth's Chris, and Mortons Steakhouse and the Met Grill steak might have those beat. I chose the 4 oz filet mignon / 4 oz sirloin sampler and it was the best steak I have tasted. Locally sourced from Spokane. Melted in my mouth like butter. I wish I could remember what my sweetheart ordered, but I was intoxicated with my meal. Highly recommmend. $$$

ok, i guess. decent enough food. i get kinda suspicious when a place that puts on airs has mandatory gratuities, and waiters that expect 20%+ tips.

Manditory 20% service charge. And the service decline has been noticable over the years. I waited 10 minutes to even get noticed, and that is after getting seated with a reservation.
Everything was okay, but okak is not exceptional. And at the end of the day, If you think you can charge a service charge, and be claimed the best steakhouse, you better be exceptional!

Sad, first you would think a place that charges what they do would have impeccable service and great food. Yeah, No.
Service started out good, as we got the order for young person in our group in right away. Then the rest our group ordered two french onion soups, caesar salad, and our three entree's. We know they got our full order because the person repeated it.
One soup was brought out and the salad, then person walked away. Thinking they were going to get the other soup and dressing for the caesar salad (which usually is tossed in dressing) well that didn't happen.
Could not get the servers attention, I went to the restroom, my group finally getting ahold of the wait a person about the soup and dressing, the person brought me out a soup that I did not order. I had them take it back. No soup for me.
The one french onion soup that did come out, really not a properly made FOS. Onions not caramelized, bland blah. The entree's, bland, au jus might as be well been the rinse water. Oh yeah, the bread they were going to bring out prior to the meal we had to remind them and we got it be after the meal was served.
Why we tipped them properly, I don't know. But their motto is Not, Make every guest a repeat guest.

A must visit! Friendly staff. Ordered the tomato, pesto and ricotta crumpet and family ordered crumpet with butter and jelly. All was delicious! Was able to also purchase a pack of four crumpets to take home.

First this was a birthday surprise from my girlfriend, but by far the best place I have been to in so long! Wait staff was great and extremely knowledgeable. Yes it is pricey but worth every penny.

Great place for a celebration, or just an upscale dinner. Beware, the carrot cake is heaven, but it is insanely large! The lobster Mac n cheese was also a brilliantly rich side.

Had an Ohmi beef steak, and it might be the best steak I've had.

Service is great and the portions are huge! 2 people could easily split the bacon wrapped pork chops. You're going to have leftovers. The steak was cooked to the perfect temperature but lacked flavor. If you get the filet have a sauce drizzled on top to help with that. But overall we felt it was overpriced based on the quality of the food.

Sat at the bar....maybe best professional bartender I have experienced in 30 yrs.

What a find in the Financial District, a portal to New England. From the Maine Root ginger beer to Cape Cod chips it was a great experience. My first lobster roll ever and it was all I expected. Succulent and buttery goodness. They have another location in the Park Plaza hotel at Central Park.

Delicious steak and appetizers. They're doing ok with distancing inside the restaurant. Tables in the bar area have plexiglass barriers. Options on food are, however, limited (which is why I didn't give a full 5 stars).

This place is perfect. It can be incredibly busy though, so make sure to make a reservation. Otherwise check the bar! There is great service there too. The meat was perfect, cut at the table, with two delicious sides. Ugh, I'm hungry thinking about it.

Great looking place, delicious food, decent prices and fast service!

This being my first experience with Metropolitan Grill I came in with tempered expectations.
Immediately several things presented themselves as different. The extraordinarily attentive and welcoming staff, the clean and relaxed atmosphere and the intangible perception that something special was about to happen.
Ordering a sirloin but choosing the 35 day aged option done medium-rare was an unfamiliar territory for me.
I can say without hyperbole that this was the single best steak experience I can recall.
Sharing bits of different cuts with the members of my party we collectively decided that this was the clear winner for our table.
I strongly recommend banishing what you think you know of steak and just experience it.

I was disappointed with the steak I had for the price paid ($77 for a bone in ny strip). My friends had the same reaction. The sides were decent, but overall, not worth the money. I expected more from a local high end steak place.

The best start is the valets parking then a huge bar but the star is the aged meat. If you have large money and time. Worth it.

Great 40th birthday party! The Metropolitan Grill was the perfect venue for my 1940's themed birthday. The food was outstanding and perfect amount for a group of 8. I highly recommend bringing a larger group so you can try more sides and some of the more exciting large cuts of beef. I shared a prime rib cut and king crab legs with friend. To die for.

Super good steaks. They excel at steaks. So when you go here, get a steak. Other foods are good too but not exceptional like their steaks. Old classic and dated design which in this case is very attractive and makes a big city feel a bit smaller and you can actually feel like a local here. If you're in a chill mood you can hang out at the bar. Our neighbours said the burger was also super good. Some of the desserts are made right in front of you which is a fun experience but way too sweet for me.
