Simply the best happy hour in downtown Seattle. Great portions, quality and variety.
Outstanding service by Michael Smith. The place doesn't disappoint.
Had the 12oz prime rib with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, plus a wedge salad and drink. The meal was good but not great. Cost was $95 not including tip. The meat was prepared correct as medium well. The creamed spinach was not creamy.
My comparison is the House of Prime Rib on Van Ness Ave in San Francisco. The prime rib and trimmings there are excellent.
Only had drinks there. Service was great. Can't speak for the price, as vendor paid.
Best steak in town hands down ... amazing experience
Expensive but generally worth it. The food is always well cooked and high quality. The wait staff is efficient but sometimes incredibly snooty.
I have always loved this historic steak house, however, they are now adding a 3% surcharge at the end of your ticket. This really pisses me off. Just add that much to the cost of individual items and let me know what I'm spending up front. This hidden ticket item means, I'm not coming back. I'll go to John Howie from now on in Bellevue so I know what I'm spending, when I spend it.
The sea food in the place is Amazing!! I will recommend u guys to friends and family. Thx agin .
Cannot go wrong here. Food is always incredible and service is outstanding
Just fantastic. Everything from service to food and ambiance is impeccable. This is our go-to place for anniversary dinner.
A place where you can eat comfortably alone! New York Peppercorn Steak, Clam Chowder Taste Continues If you are looking for a place to decorate your Seattle trip, I recommend it here.
The long bone ribeye was cooked to perfection. Bring a large appetite for this 40 oz cut.
Starting with food: it was just incredible. The steak was to die for. Cooked to perfection. The crabs cakes definitely worth it. Now the service - it was absolutely impeccable. Each person we saw was friendly, knowledgable, and caring. If I could give more than 5 stars I would
It's the Met, what is there to say? Great steak, delicious food, strong drinks, and friendly service.
My friends and I celebrate all our birthdays here. It is hands down our favorite steakhouse in Seattle. Fine decor and ambiance. Even better food and service quality. We need to begin celebrating our half-birthdays here!
Botch meal without reservation to the counter.
Good atmosphere, with a bar feeling, the menu is the same.
It felt late to be served somewhat, but also meets hunger.
thank you for the food.
Stopped in for a quick bite (happy hour) there was a bit of a wait but the host kept tabs on all the available spots and sat us down in order. Food is amazing and the cocktails my wife and I had were amazing. Can't wait to return.
Best restaurant on the West Coast. Service is impeccable. Food is better than service. Classic Americana atmosphere. The only comparable restaurants are in NYC, of which this place can compete.
Excellent food and service from our waiter Jimmy was perfect
Sarcoma is also abundant and may be the best in Seattle
One of the highest quality steakhouses in the greater Seattle area. The food is expensive but their steaks are one of the best I've ever had. Their service is excellent and the workers are very polite.
This place has a great atmosphere and pedigree. I really enjoyed the service I received, as well as the fact that they had lower priced specials as well as their normal fare (higher prices). Great location. Only thing that was a bit put of place was the parking scenario in the alley behind the restaurant. Seemed rather sketchy - but was comped at end of meal. Parking run by separate company/entity.
Always great to be served by Rachel in the bar section. She exemplifies the great service you always get at The Met.
High end steaks. It's really good, but you're going to pay for it.
The steak sandwiches are out of this word. So much steak, mushrooms, and cheese it was difficult to finish it all. I managed.
I have only been to the Met for lunch, but the food is always great especially the burgers.
I had the prime rib special and my wife had the salmon.. excellent food and service
Family or friends coming to town? Special occasion? This is the place to go.
Very pricey but well worth it. Some of the best steaks in town. Our favorite, the Chateaubriand for two. It will set you back around $120.
One money saving tip: Pick up a few $100 gift certificates at Costco for $79.99 each.
Wow! The food, service and remodeled atmosphere are all in line. Best EVER!
The food and atmosphere is amazing. A local hangout spot. Loved it!!!!!!
Upscale place with good selection of drinks and food.
One of the best steaks I've ever had. Staff is unbelievably friendly. 5/5 on that. I got the bison steak, which was amazing. However, basically nothing came with it. I think only a small portion of mashed potatoes . I had to order the macaroni and lobster as extra.. speaking of which, that was great too. Wish it came with more greens on the side, or maybe shrimp or something.
Steaks are incredible, only topped by the service. Love The Met!
Fun place to eat in Seattle. It's like she a nice atmosphere with wood marble countertop for bar a nice atmosphere. Food is good also and it's well worth the price
The food and the experience were fantastic! The portions are great for the price point, which is spendy but, it is well worth it!
The best, service, food, atmosphere. Don't miss coming here.
Amazing steak, quite pricey, but worth every dollar. Excellent service. Atmosphere is very loud
Clasdic steakhouse fare. Get Bananas Foster done table side.
Truly professional service staff. The food is also incredible, obviously.
Great happy hour. $6 well drinks and good bar food at low prices for downtown.
In a very crowd night and waiting a table for 9 we get a private table on time.
Excellent and very kindly service all my guests were astonished by the place, the food and the great list of wines and spirits.
Never before I get that welcome for an invitation like these, even considering in the same week we were at Morton s, Elliot s, Ruth s Chris and the Gaucho.
At the bar we taste some variety of German Beers and also was a great experience.
It's a bit like going back in time in a very good way. They really treat you well here, by the end of the meal I wanted to hug our waiter. Food is also wonderful, but the really special thing here is the atmosphere.
This is by far the best steakhouse in the Seattle area! Every trip to Seattle we make sure to visit this place. The Top Cap steak is my favorite of their very extensive menu. To top it off, last weekend Russel Wilson (Seahawks QB) passed by our table during dinner, very cool!
Customer Service was awesome. And the food delicious.
Great happy hour burgers. Some say the best in the city, and I don't know that I can really argue their point.
Very very good food. Well prepared and interesting selections. Excellent service. Only criticism is that the wine list is ridiculously marked up. Stags Leap Artemis, which is around $50 per bottle at Costco was around $340 at MG. I understand the need for a markup, but this was extreme. That's just 1 example.
16Nov2017-Order was placed incorrectly by server, waited long time for food and said hungry and accept food as is. Didnt't serve bread as asked for, NY steaks were gristle filled. Put a this table reserved on table while we're there, felt rushed out, offered a free dessert, wanted good food not dessert, didn't get it. Been eating at The Met for over four years. Tonights meal for three people, total just under $300, this meal is my last one there
Service and food greatly compromised from past. Spend several conferences here in Seattle, will tell associates to be cautioned eating there.
Excellent meal with good service; not overly expensive either.
Posh, pricy, not the best value for the money.
Our steak and salmon were both too well done and not as tasty as you may expect from a 50$ plus dish.
Best steak in Seattle! But the sides are just meh, the service can be hit or miss (sometimes they just ignore you for a while), and cocktails are just ok (stick to basics). Also: we had a large group here for dinner around the holidays once, and our table was next to a private room in the back, which an even larger group had rented to watch a football game, with the sound on and the restaurant didn t think to close the doors. Not the ambiance I want with my fancy steak dinner.
First things first, service was top notch. The ambiance of the place is old school steakhouse the kind you'd expect to see Tony Soprano sitting in.
From the cocktails to the Oyster starters and on to the Filet Mignon and my wife's Rack of Lamb, this place did not disappoint in anyway.
I can say this - Kansas City, "you've got some explaining to do."
Outstanding experience. Professional, knowledgeable, and courteous staff. Fantastic wine list. Delicious, very well prepared food. Very worthy of celebrating important occasions.
Metropolitan Grill never disappoints, truly delicious meal.
Was definitely disappointed with my experience here. It is recommended as one of the best steak restaurants in Washington but I can honestly say it's not even close. I have never had a burnt medium rare steak before. I ordered the 13 or 14 ounce filet mignon that is 77$. So obviously with that price and the quality of meat it is anyone would have a high expectation. The outside of my steak was burnt and the inside of it was super chewy. I would have for sure sent it back but I was with a group of 10 and it took long enough to get our food. Mostly everyone I was with didn't think the steaks were worth the price. They have good portion sizes but the steaks lack in flavor and the way they are cooked. The lobster mac and cheese was super dry. What was supposed to be classic cheesecake tasted like some type of weird tasting lemon cake. My wife loves lemon cake and even she thought their cheesecake tasted nasty. I would say their French onion soup was delicious and their banana foster is worth trying. The different cakes they have are huge but not moist. I would rate the flavor and quality of their food for their price a 2 star for sure but I would rate their service 5 stars. With the size group we had and the amount of items orders the staff was on top of it. It is a fancy and elegant set up with great service but I would not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their food being worth what they paid. I hear the porterhouse steak is worth trying but I don't plan on going back. Expect with 2 people to spend anywhere from 150$ to 300$ for one visit. The Palestine in Seattle has delicious steaks for cheaper.
I was able to eat a very delicious steak and had a wonderful night!
As always the quentesential Seattle restaurant never fails to delight
Had a great time there for dinner with a friend. Awesome service, and the valet parking was fantastic and convenient. My only complaint is that there should be more of a dress code in there. Either that or people in Seattle need to get a little bit of class. I'm not saying a tuxedo or a three piece suit should be required, but T-shirts and shorts shouldn't be allowed in the dining room at least. There was a dude wearing sliders with no socks all up in there like it was Burger King.
Love the ambience of the restaurant. The inside of the restaurant looks elegant and classic. They were filming an interview with Russell Wilson in the restaurant when we had lunch. One of the servers was slightly rude when we tried to find out what's going on.
The overall service is good. The food was okay. My little needed a diaper change before we left. But only one of the restroom has changing station. We weren't allowed to use it because of the interview. The servers were nice enough to put two chairs together for us to change diaper. After the diaper change, we were told to leave through the back door.
Like I said, the dining experience was okay. However, given the fact that I am not a football fan, if I knew about the filming in advance. I would have chosen another restaurant.
