At Metropolitan Grill the food is delicious, great selection of drinks in a variety of prices.
Shout out to all the waiters & staff there -- amazing service and the atmosphere/decor are a bit old fashioned but are still well done.

I love this place. The food is so good, fresh and flavored. The stake they serve is amazing. This place is pricey but it worst every dollar. Like people say "You get what you pay for".
Definitely recommend to try it.

Food is very over priced for your taste buds . Steak was burnt but tender . The crab and scallops Alfredo was gross AND I MEAN DISGUSTING. The scallops were very over cooked and the sauce tasted like the ocean .also my friend had order fries with his steak but brought out potatoes. When we told the waiter the mistake he s remarks to my boyfriends plate and said maybe he will share with you because the grill is about to close... For a 70 dollar steak . Horrible service but the bread and butter was the highlight of our meal.

I came here for my 30th birthday and ultimately it was a big disappointment. This was one of the most expensive meals I've ever had and it simply didn't deliver. The service and ambiance were great. The appetizers were stellar. The steak was really underwhelming though and that was kind the main point of coming. It tasted like it had not been salted at all. In retrospect I should have said something but returning a meal is not something I do or something I felt I should have to do. The place was too pretentious to have salt at the table which would have saved the meal. I took the steak home and gave it some salt and it was perfect. When you're paying over $100 per person I think you can expect the meal to be cooked properly without any input.

Literally, the best steak I have ever had in my life! This place is exceptional! With an excellent wine list, superb steak and seafood, old world vibe and stellar staff this place is an absolut "must".

The Met is the kind of stakehouse that makes you feel like going anywhere else is a waste of money. It's perfectly cooked every time, delicious to the cut of meat you get, and I honestly don't know what else you could want from a steakhouse. The service is friendly and knowledgeable, the food superb, the drinks excellent.

Also, somewhat surprisingly, their lunch options are not only delicious but reasonably priced. The Works is the highest quality burger you'll find, and at $15 including (perfectly crispy, perfectly seasoned) fries it's absolutely affordable for what you get. The sandwiches are just as good, and the soup that came with it as a combo was killer. Great for the steakhouse dinner you dress up to go to and the lunch splurge you need when you can't drop steak-dinner-money on eating out.

This restaurant is worthy of a 5 star rating. We arrived 20 minutes before our reserved time, shown immediately to bar, got drink order within 3 minutes, got called to table on time. Food was beyond perfect. I am a 4 star chef. I order differently. A baseball cut sirloin cooked charred rare. The steak arrived and even the waiter watched me cut the first bite. Yeah, perfect. No pretend ambiance here just eat and feel like Kings and Queens.

MG is so very special. The remodel is beautiful while still preserving the furnishings and historical ambiance. It's a great lunch spot where I've enjoyed the smoked salmon penne pasta and excellent calamari. The service is top notch at every visit and there's just something really warm and inviting about this iconic restaurant. I believe the rich history and original building location makes it a nice diversion from all the newness around the city. It's also a perfect date night spot for drinks at the bar or late night sweet tooth treat with their banana foster.

Consistently great service. We usually come here for lunch, and the service and the food is always superb. There is also a special every day of the work week, which is nice. Their fish specials are always good -- about a month ago they had a beautiful salmon which was one of the finest quality I've ever had.

I hate to write a negative review, but this visit to to the Metropolitan was the most disappointing I have had in a long, long, time. The steak dishes were terrible,. the potatoes side dishes were all under seasoned, we skipped the dessert.

Life will never be the same. I will now have to consider my life in two stages: pre-ohmi steak and post-ohmi steak. I'm a lover of steak and have tried all sorts of fancy and experimental steak dishes, but nothing can ever compare to the steak here. It was legitimately so good that I started to feel sad while still eating it because I knew that it had to end. The only thing they could have done to make the experience better would have been to play angelic choir music.

Wonderful restaurant. Great food with some of the best steaks you'll ever eat. Soups and salads are top drawer. Best of all the service is second to none. If you eat in the bar area ask for Lee Ann what a great server.

Service was excellent. Wine list very good. However, my 16oz boneless rib eye was good, but not $66 good. It's not the money, but I expected a damn good steak and I got an acceptable one. Your mileage may vary. I will try them again, but not till after I try the Capitol grill.

Food was ok. I ordered a burger n then told the waitress to make it to go as our party was leaving from happy hour and the server brought us a skewers plate and we said it wasn't ours. Turns out she put in an order incorrectly. I was pretty peeved. Because we were in a rush and I was told the wagyu burger is good, we couldn't wait for them to get it right. But the waitress gave us the skewers on the house. But I was really quite annoyed. I felt like I wanted a burger the whole day. Inside I was livid. Owell.

Best steak house in the city. The ohmi steak is unbeatable, the service is quintessential classic American along, with the atmosphere. The lunch prices are also incredible reasonable for the portions.

We celebrated my birthday the night we came. Such a wonderful experience. Our server was a dream and made the night. Food was amazing, wine was exceptionally, and I was surprised with a creme brulee. One of my favorite nights.

Had a great steakhouse experience here at the Metropolitan Grill. We love trying out new steakhouses all the time, so this time we gave this place a try! And we were not disappointed. The food was exceptional, the wine list extensive. The sides and steak were amazing. Our waitress, (I want to say her name was Dee Hee? The funny asian lady.) was amazing. She was very helpful and made sure we were taken care of. I definitely recommend this steakhouse to anyone and we can't wait to return again next time we're in Seattle.

The experience at the Metropolitan Grill is beyond words. The ambience was sophisticated yet restful, welcome to both conversation and quiet reflection. The beef was cooked to perfection, where it melted like butter. Everything from drinks to dessert had a depth of flavor I can't describe.

Fantastic food! $$$$$ expensive but casual atmosphere. Our server Michael was charming and a sweetheart. He made our visit worth it, along with the delicious food. There were 10 of us at the table and most everyone said they were eating the best steak/prime rib/beef they had ever been served in a restaurant. My filet and lobster was superb and cooked perfectly.
The wine selection was very good as well and over all Metropolitan grill deserves the 5 stars all the way around.

Classic steakhouse. Better than classic, really. More along the lines of Supreme. They have more fine options in filet mignon than you can shake a stick at. Waygu and Kobe are just the beginning. They serve a filet so limited there are only 300 head of cattle worldwide per year that produce it. My most recent visit I settled on the Kobe-Angus hybrid 10 oz filet and it did not disappoint!

If a filet isn't your thing - say you prefer a porterhouse, New York, or Chateubriand, they've got you covered there too. Available in all the same pedigrees as the filet - my personal favorite.

They have an extensive wine list. Pages and pages of beautiful reds, oaky bright whites, and everything in between. Right now the cocktail menu is good, not great, but it's updated fairly often -seasonally, I think. I drank pear lemon drops all night. I would love to see a bit more creativity using floral, citrus, herbal, and spicy infusions.

Much like El Gaucho, sides are seperate and for the table. I love the variety of veg offered and all the preparations. Sprouts w/bacon, asparagus w/bearnaise, sweet corn w/butter, etc. There are maybe 8 to choose from. Or go with a starch like a baked potato w/all the fixings, or a garlic mash.

Lots of bar space, better than average bartenders, very trendy after work meet-up spot. Usually pretty busy at happy hour. The bar in and of itself is large. It hosts high tables and a few cozy booths in addition to the plentiful seating along the long, marble bar. Floor to ceiling windows make urban people watching fun.

The restaurant is even bigger and full of intimate, comfortable booths around the perimeter. Lots of tables as well. Servers are the best of the best.

Apps are great - think wagyu strips, crab cakes, and oysters by the dozen - served w/a delightful champagne mignonette, and also lemon & cocktail sauce, which us heathens appreciate.

Parking? I say don't. Valet all the way, baby! Opens at 4pm. Otherwise there are a ton of pay lots nearby. It's honestly cheaper to valet though, and I always do. 5

Wonderful meal as always! Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the wine suggested by our waiter was an incredible pairing. Staff is always friendly and professional. Very impressed with their bartender Rachel. Fantastic experience.

Best steakhouse in Seattle IMO! The bananas foster is an experience in it's own right. My go to is to split the chateaubriand or go with the filet. Their drinks are also perfect every time and they have an excellent wine selection.

Amazing place to get some good cuts of steak. I tried the famous ohmi filet which melted like butter in your mouth but wish it had a more crispy exterior. I also had the ribeye which was my favorite because of the crispy exterior and tender interior. I also ordered the lobster Mac a cheese which was amazing. For dessert I had the apple pie and the burnt cream. Highly recommend the burnt cream.

Good beef are pricey. We enjoyed the cuts we ordered. Reservation is preferred. We did not make reservation, therefore, were given a bar table. The service staff is very patient to explain the various beef and cuts. Overall, we are very satisfied with the meal. Recommended to try this.
