This being my first experience with Metropolitan Grill I came in with tempered expectations.
Immediately several things presented themselves as different. The extraordinarily attentive and welcoming staff, the clean and relaxed atmosphere and the intangible perception that something special was about to happen.
Ordering a sirloin but choosing the 35 day aged option done medium-rare was an unfamiliar territory for me.
I can say without hyperbole that this was the single best steak experience I can recall.
Sharing bits of different cuts with the members of my party we collectively decided that this was the clear winner for our table.
I strongly recommend banishing what you think you know of steak and just experience it.
