Great steaks and over the top service. Good time with family.
Great steaks and over the top service. Good time with family.
The bacon wrapped tenderloin skewers on the bar menu, wow! So good! Great selection of scotch and burboun whiskey.
Started with a Redhook ESB and finished with a cobb salad only available during lunch. Eating in the bar is more relaxed and comfortable. Don't let the steak house reputation scare you away. This is good eats in an upscale setting.
THE METROPOLITAN GRILLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A FAVORITE OF OURS!
Before Covid we frequented the Met Grille alot with family and customers!
The staff and service EXEMPLARY!
Last night we had our first dinner out since March! Called and spoke to Allison who explained how the Met had all covid preventative measures in place! She as usual was very welcoming!
We had a fabulous time, great food, great atmosphere and as usual GREAT service. Maximum seating is 5 per table; there were 4 of us and we were at the restaurant for 4 hours, starting in the cocktail lounge!!!
We can t wait to return and will very soon!
Valet parking(free for month of August) so pulling in front of restaurant so convenient and the valet staff exceptional!
I think it critical we all support the Met as with sporting game attendance up in the air this year much business will be lost! The seahawk brunches we regularly attended and after game party as well!
I highly recommend the Metropolitan Grille and guarantee a perfect experience!

not the best value for a good steak in town, but its an institution.
This was an almost perfect dinner. The ambiance was great as was the service. I think this was by far the most attentive staff that has ever received us. The disappointment came with the food but not because of the taste. After almost a 40 min wait for the food the steaks were barely warm and my wife's looked burnt while was perfect. She had the Wagyu skirt steak and I had the Porterhouse. Because we were hungry we didn't want to complain. Still a great restaurant though.
My mother and I came to the Metropolitan Grill last month. The environment and the service were good.
My mother and I shared a calamari as our appetizer, the calamari was Ok.
My mother got a 8 oz. Filet Mignon with Baked potato and I got a Salmon with baked potato. The steak and the salmon was so so... not delicious at all... Both my mother and I don't like it.
We had a New York cheesecake as our dessert, and I like the dessert. It was GOOD.
My drink was also good.
Still a great happy hour! We got there around 4, so even with only two in our party we had to wait a bit for spots. But no worries, they'll still serve you while you wait. Food was delicious (the burger is a bargain!) and the beer was cold and delicious.
Our dinner experience at Metropolitan Grill was varied. We called last minute for a reservation since the restaurant appeared completely booked and were fortunate to secure a table in the bar. Upon arrival, we were greeted and escorted to a very nice high top table. Dinner began with mouthwatering French onion soup and a gorgeous Washington wine served by the attentive Jen. Then on to the most delicious iceberg wedge we ve ever had, accompanied by hot crusty bread. We were thrilled with our experience so far and looked forward to our main course. That s when things took a turn. The steak was not cooked to order not even close and all of our sides were lukewarm at best. We thought about muddling through but at $82 for a ribeye, we thought no, this has to be fixed. The good news is the manager Paul came over, apologized and graciously agreed to start over with our main course. We happily agreed and said we were in no hurry. While we waited we were treated to more great wine, and when our food arrived for the second time it was delicious! To end the rather long evening, we were treated once again, this time with scrumptious desserts, most of which we took back to the hotel to enjoy the next day. Every restaurant experiences a glitch now and then; it s how they respond that differentiates a great restaurant. Given our experience, we would define recommend Metropolitan Grill and would return. Thank you Jen and Paul!
Food are great every dish that they serve are the best! Cool atmosphere, elegant place you won't regret it!
Steak Delicious Place in Downtown Seattle
Not cheap but good quantity and quality
The Met is my 'Cheers' and one of my most favorite places to go in Seattle. Amazing service and delicious food and a warm and welcoming atmosphere every time!
Always the best steak in town. Spring for the wagyu! You won't be disappointed.
I love this place and I love steak. I've celebrated my anniversary at this place the last 2 years and it's probably going to be an annual experience. The food is great and has never disappointed.
One of the best steak restaurants in town. Though it is on the pricy side...it's those places where you visit when there is something to celebrate.
Great food. Excellent staff. Lovely ambience.
Ted at the bar was amazing. Gave great recommendations. I had the spinach salad, fillet, and King crab legs. All were sublime. The wine and whiskey selection was vast.
Just had an end of night drink in the bar. A great place to SHARE an evening cocktail. It could easily feel a bit too fancy but they made us feel very welcome.
You get what you pay for. Very tasty and amazing food. Definitely on the expensive side but is completely worth it!
Very expensive but absolutely delicious!
The service is professional
Not very cheap, but otherwise an excellent restaurant.
Steaks were great as usual. Very busy and very noisy as usual. I had to wait for 20 minutes even though we made a reservation. Service was a bit slow for the day, but servers know what they were doing for sure. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.
A classic steakhouse with very friendly and experienced staff. An extensive winelist with quality wines from all over. An iconic Seattle restaurant that has had many well known celebrity's grace their doors.
I am filled with five star reviews for all the restaurants struggling at this horrendous moment in history, appreciating their effort to do take out. I encourage people with healthy incomes to donate to the funding campaigns created to help restaurants and their employees around the country. You can find them all over the internet.
My wife picked up wedge salads, steaks, fries and desserts from The Metropolitan Grill. I couldn t leave the apartment being under self quarantine with a cough. Everything tasted wonderful, and made me miss going out. It was a Saturday night, and I have only been in Seattle for a month. The city beckons outside my windows, but I can t partake. No one can. The souls of our cities are in hibernation. Hopefully, urbanity will awaken soon, and we can feel the electricity again. The lights went out on
Broadway. Broadway.
Always a good experience and always amazing food. I ate the wagyu burger and it was delicious. The flavor pallette was as wide as an airplane hanger.
When I was 18 and graduated high school I splurged and took myself out to the Met to celebrate. At that time it was an astronomical price for me to play for a meal, but that's not my point (it was worth it). I distinctly remember my waiter that day. He explained to my steak-illigetimate 18 year old self that the porterhouse is the Cadillac of steaks. "Low and wide."
Fast forward 15 years. I pop in for lunch and that man is still an amazing waiter. He has no idea who I am, but I remember his excellent service. I remember the way he made our table feel during a spectacular night in my life. It seems important that he still provides that. I feel it says something about the Met as a whole that it fosters a place where a man like that would choose to stay bringing style to my dining experience.
Stay classy gentleman waiter, and thank you for keeping Seattle special the Met.
Pricey but delicious. Service at the bar was great.
It is pricey but worth every penny! Excellent service and food! Truly one of the best restaurants in Seattle! Definitely not a shorts & flip flops kind of place! For an up scale meal and night out it is hard to find a nicer place in Seattle!
Metropolitan Grill's Food is delicious, great selection of drinks in a variety of prices. A special shoutout to all the waiters & staff there -- amazing service.
Best steakhouse in town. Their lowest grade steak is prime. No one can say that but the Met. Get the carrot cake with MAKERS MARK ICE CREAM!
Idk heard the hype. Ambiance was cool hit steak was average
prime rib could not be cut with a steak knife, or anything else for that matter, steaks were delicious, service was slow, but it was Christmas eve so may be understandable.
Great steak, upscale atmosphere and great service. Upscale price and a 20% service surcharge on the whole check was a bit surprising for a party of two.
The best steak house on the West Coast. Very good food. The best service outside of Scoma's in San Francisco. The wait staff is very professional and skilled, they make the presentation of the meal a very important part of the meal. The food is cooked with a great care to make sure you get the food cooked exactly as order. One of the best meals I've ever had. The restaurant is very beautifully furnished and very clean. While this place is not inexpensive it is worth the money spent. This one of the finest restaurants on the west coast. If you like fine dining this is a must go place when visiting Seattle.
Absolutely the best steakhouse in Seattle. The service is fantastic.
Super friendly and high quality. Granted we were in the board room for a meeting, but it was everything you d expect.
One of our all time favorite restaurants. You can never go wrong going here. Quality quality quality, service is outstanding, food is perfect.
The food is great and the staff is very nice. However, be prepared to wait. You have to wait for your table even if you show up on time for your reservation. You have to wait quite some time for the server to come to your table and you have to wait a long time for the food. You even have to wait a long time between visits from your server. If you don't mind waiting (e.g. you like hanging out at the DMV and in TSA security lanes), the food is worth it. If you don't like to wait, then you will be very frustrated by how long everything takes.
The Metropolitan was packed at 5:15 pm 1st available table was not until 10 pm went into the bar sat down and had an awesome waitress that even paid my valet parking,, oh the food and drinks were to die for.
Always tasty and great service. I love their salads, sandwiches and of course their steaks.
I wish I had taken a photo but next time. Been here several times when I lived in Seattle for happy hour. The best as always. The steak can t compare to any other. The menus are different for times of day. An idea of prices, my steak salad costs 30.00 at dinner. A few at the party ordered the Steak from Japan for 120.00. Happy hour is much cheaper if that begins your wallet. Customer service experience was amazing. Nobody will be disappointed no matter your background. All types dressed in all ways, amazing food and this customer service doesn t discriminate. This restaurant is a must do and you will fall in love I m not exaggerating. You can go here with no worries of how your experience will be and the food will be excellent.
I was recently at a family birthday party dinner at the Metropolitan Grill... I was happy to give up my coat to the waitstaff to store it in their coat check, and didn't think twice about my wallet being in it in such a high-end restaurant. Not noticing it's absence when I left, I was unhappy to find out the next morning that it had been stolen, and over $1,500 in fraudulant charges accrued around town on my credit cards in the late hours of the night. I contacted management at the Met to let them know of the issue; they were defensive, claimed it highly unlikely that the theft occured, but offered to send a gift certificate in the mail for a future meal, as the circumstantial evidence of the theft was overwhelming... Weeks later, the certificate hasn't arrived. I've tried to contact them, and receive no return calls from management. I didn't ask for the certificate; that wasn't the point. The point is, they weren't concerned with fixing their staffing issue, nor with following through as they said they would. Very disappointing. The food's good, but not worth the price or, in my case, the aggravation.
I'm from kansas and to anyone that knows beef that's saying something heck I have raised cattle. That being said this place is delicious. They cooked everything perfect and the staff was very nice. The quality of meat was great. And I have eaten a lot of steak from everywhere this place is up there with the best.
NY steak sandwhich is a favorite. The clam chowder is tasty but not amazing. I keep meaning to stop by the happy hour sometime.
Excellent place to have a great steak. A little pricey, but worth it
A great place to celebrate a birthday! Great food, nice atmosphere and attentive staff
Their snow beef steak is honestly mind blowing. Getting a full course meal here is always a delight, their staff is very friendly and professional, and everything we get from appetizers to dessert always tastes amazing.
Best steak I've ever had. Service is excellent. Pricey, but worth it.
Try the Wagyu Hokkaido filet. It's life changing. My life is changed.
It took us a minute to get a drink and the food was marginally late coming out but overwhelmingly food was awesome and the bartender was sweet.
The Crab & Shrimp fettuccini was UNREAL. Prime rib was good and onion rings were out of this world!!
A note for the 3 managers in duty. Resist the urge to watch television, it looks bad especially when the bar looks a mess, there are dirty tables and your staff is walking around with their own drinks in their hands sipping while in the floor (not alcoholic) to my knowledge. This is such a stellar place - keep it classy. You don t find classy done well anymore so don t let it go.
Top steak place in the state. Hands down. Recommend the Tomahawk Ribeye.
Best Steak I have ever had in Seattle beyond measure
Probably the most expensive place I've ever been to but the service and food was on point
Had a Porterhouse, iceberg wedge, and carrot cake. All three are the best I've ever had. Amazing food!
Great steaks! We were here to celebrate our Anniversary. They did nothing special(dessert ect). I was very disappointed since it is a high end restaurant. The service was ok.
Great drinks and food, one of my favorite places to go in Seattle!!!
A Seattle institution, serving the best steaks while providing an upscale yet familiar atmosphere.
This place is quick and easy amd alot of good food to choose from
Metropolitan Grill is the best steakhouse in Seattle. Hands down. The ambiance, the wait staff, the grand booths, the bar are all worth going for to experience. The food is always superb. We always order steak (rib eye and filet Minton) and our palate is delighted every time. Love the sauces, accompaniments with the steaks and sides. Metropolitan Grill is now my favorite steakhouse in all of Seattle and greater metro area.
Classy steakhouse, good meats but you will pay hefty prices for the ambiance.
The best steakhouse in Seattle. Fantastic ambiance an old Building, the steak is excellent. Very old school steakhouse.
Expensive and not great for kids. If you're craving steak this is the best place to go.
Perfect drinks, and the food! The creative flavor combinations were amazing, and everything was cooked and presented extremely well.
Great service and atmosphere, but the quality of my food has been consistently poor and WAY overpriced. If you're visiting the great city of Seattle, spend your money elsewhere if you're looking for a great steak. I wouldn't leave this review for one bad experience - I've had several bad meals here.
Terrible place. The food is gross, too fat, and a very unpleasant smell, not to mention that the prices are astronomical. The worst idea I had was to come to this place.
Food great. Wait staff very pleasant and very professional. Bar was packed with people having a good time. Bartender was lots of fun and good too.
food was super flavorful. this place has a nice atmosphere.
As always a superior dining experience. The best steak house in Seattle
i am going to be generous with 3 stars since they comped 1 meal and our valet. the meal was "just not good" as we kept telling each other the remainder of the night. wife ordered the fillet with medium doneness. it came out more raw in the center than my sirloin cap i ordered medium rare. rather than replacing, they offered to put it back on the fire. came back and was more cooked but now tasted like burnt meat and was not appetizing at all. wife ended up eating half of my sirloin cap that was medium cooked. lacked flavor for a 35 day dry aged piece of meat. texture was chewy with bits of gristle. overall for a $300 dinner we expected a lot more. for 1/2 the price we could have gone to Jaks and gotten a far superior meal. it had been 20 years since the last time i went to the met and have to say, its going to be at least that along again if ever. for a high end steak in Seattle i would have much rather spent $300 at the butchers table. for an anniversary dinner, this was a huge let down.
Cozy environment and very good food. High prices. Oktre 100 dollars a kilo for meat
