The hotel and location were alright but the bed in my room was full of hairs and the coffee maker didn't work. I changed to a new room and the keurig machine in that room exploded and sprayed me with hot coffee. The staff at the desk only said oh sorry, you can go next door to buy a coffee from our resorts coffee shop (6$ USD for a regular coffee).... Also we couldn't use the bar or bowling alley as they regularly rent it out.. ( rented till 11:30..but closes at 12:00.. desk claimed it would stay open later to make up for it but that was a lie...they refused to. )

Also worth mentioning out of our group of 22 mm ore than half of our coffee makers in our rooms didn't work at all.

My sister had her wedding here a little over a week ago. It was very beautiful, the food was amazing and the room i had was spacious and clean.however i was, and still am completely dumbfounded with the the lack of preparedness they had for this event as well as the willingness to rectify it. To have her wedding at this resort it was required that she uses one of their wedding planners to handle all the booking, scheduling and preparations . Thats to be expected. However if you plan on having a wedding here i strongly suggest that you either hire a 2nd wedding planner on your own or don't come here for your wedding. My sisters planner was Andrea and For the past year Andrea, my sister and her husband planned and prepared for their big day. From the moment we arrived there were problems. We were told check in was at 3:00pm and her rehearsal for the wedding was to be at 5:00pm followed by the rehearsal dinner where we were to meet in the lobby at 6:00pm and board the shuttle that would take us all to this Italian restaurant in town. Not to complicated right?Wong! When we got there rooms were not ready. My room was and a few of the brides maids rooms were but the bride and grooms room were not ready yet, along with the majority of the other wedding guests. People that had a room ready had different issues like they were only staying one night but booked for 3,or needed only one room but booked for 4 .Anyway, Not having much time before rehearsal and the rooms still not ready, my sister had to get ready in someone else s room while all the luggage and things for the wedding were dispersed into whatever rooms they had avail. getting the room situation sorted was a NIGHTMARE!! First They didn't have anyone with our names booked!!!WHAT!!?? They front desk said they didnt know why because the front desk doesn't handle the reservations it goes through some other company And Andrea handles all of that, well she wasn't answering or responding to ANY calls(had no problem cashing her check though) I decided to miss the rehearsal and try to sort out the room situation, at about 5pm i was told my sisters room as ready so i got the keys from them and started gathering all her things and putting them in her room. on my 3rd trip to the room i open the door and see someone else there looking quite confused at me and the the stuff in the room i had already brought in. IT WASN'T HER ROOM!!!!!! They gave me the keys to the wrong room and when i went back to the lobby, guess what Her room still wasn't ready!!!!!! I had to then take all the stuff back out and put in another holding room. Once the room disaster was sorted i had 10 minutes to get ready for the 6pm shuttle to the rehearsal dinner. I got there with 2 minutes to spare but it wouldn't have mattered because there was no shuttle!!!! We were told the last shuttle of they day left however long ago and they didn't show where anything was booked and guess who still wasn't answering any calls yep tAndrea The solution the guy at the desk gave us was.. "you can call a UBER"... ????!!!! I am at a loss for words at this point. We ended up calling and paying several UBER drivers to transport 50 people to and 50 people from the dinner because the wedding planner dropped the ball. In my opinion, this is SOOOO UNACCEPTABLE!And to put into perspective a bit this is just the first 4 hours of our 3 day stay . I have more equally frustrating things i could continue to say about our experience but google limits how much you can write and sure you get the point. As for Andrea she never showed up, not once the entire time we were there, she didn't call back that night either!!!!! I read the TEXT MESSAGE(yes a text message) she sent the next day but i don't have the room to even go there CONCLUSION:Beautiful resort, great food, DON'T have a wedding there and if you must stay away from Andrea!!

This place is on a level of Beefsteak Charlie. The resort itself is a giant scam disguised as some elegant wine retreat. They will over charge your credit card and try and force their mediocre trinitas wine on you. If you want to be overcharged and dont mind being scammed for thousands then go here. Otherwise there are so many truly great places to do business with.

I experienced no issues while staying at the Meritage for a conference. The weather was a bit crummy, so I stayed inside for most of my visit. Parking was not an issue and it was easy to find with our GPS. Beware of some traffic back-up from San Francisco as it took up to 2 hours to get there from SF.

Never received confirmation email (called three times to request). Upon check in, employee asked me three times what room I booked - could not tel her bc I had no email. She then proceeded to sell us a 80$ upgrade which only really gave larger bed. Shower water never got hot. Concierge did not seem to want to be bothered with us, we asked where to watch the Super Bowl, they rattled off a few places verbally- I had to ask for a pen and a map. They never asked us what we wanted to do during our stay or what wineries we wanted to go to etc. No one went above and beyond. Hotel is very very corporate and not in a convenient location to anything besides their amenities - website is very misleading regarding what kind of resort it is. If you are looking for a true Napa experience I do not recommend this hotel.

Overall a great place to stay. The facilities were clean and everything looked great. Everything is expensive here, but it's California so expect that.

Parking is free. Valet is free, but you do not need to use that service. We stayed in the Bordeaux building and it was easier to park near our room instead of waiting to drop off and pick up from valet and then walking all the way to our room. The property across the street has plenty of umbrellas and chairs to lounge.

The family pool at the Meritage did not have enough umbrellas and the splash pad wasn't on. Towels were replenished every 20 minutes during the day so the wait wasn't bad.

Amazing place to stay. You won't need to leave the property as they have really good wines, several tasting rooms, restaurants and even a grocery store. All places and environment were pretty cozy and inviting. I'd recommend for the owners to allocate more staff to the front desk as there was always a long line (even when I just needed to get some matches for my wife's birthday party).

This past weekend, my husband and I were supposed ...

This past weekend, my husband and I were supposed to stay at the Meritage resort to celebrate two milestones: our wedding anniversary and purchasing our first home. Sadly, we never got to experience what was supposedly a beautiful resort, that came highly recommended from friends who recently got married at the Meritage. We originally booked our stay for July, but had to change our dates to June due to an earlier than anticipated escrow close date. Our reservation change was made via phone and we were really excited to celebrate in Napa, as we had been quarantining with family in Southern California since March.

We flew back up to Northern California just for this celebration, and we called the Meritage upon arrival in hopes of checking in early. As it turns out, the changes to our reservation were never actually made by the staff. My husband was bounced from one unapologetic staff member to another over the course of an hour, only to be told that if we still wanted to stay at the Meritage, we would have to pay double the rate that we had originally booked. The phone call ended with us being told we would receive a call from the manager, who we had hoped would provide a viable solution.

My husband and I were completely shocked by the staff s lack of empathy. The phone call that we eventually received from a manager a few hours later, was also unapologetic and made it seem as though our business didn t even matter to the Meritage, now or in the future. Needless to say, we scrambled to book a room at another hotel in Napa. The Archer hotel was happy to accommodate our last minute booking at a reasonable rate. Their staff went above and beyond to make up for what the Meritage team could not provide before we even stepped foot in Napa.

Given that we are back living in Northern California full time, we plan to frequent Napa quite often for the weekend instead of just doing day trips. We are aware that COVID-19 has caused horrible damage to the wine & restaurant industries and we have been doing our best to support local businesses. We are disappointed that the Meritage will not be part of our future plans to contribute to Napa s economy and hope that other guests never have to experience what we did.

I was here for a small conference so spent most time in meetings and catered meals BUT staff was super friendly and helpful at all levels. The food staff was really the best I've seen. The were happy to help, cleared dirty plates quickly and kept the buffet lines clean.
Dinner at The Cave was Amazing. The food was ridiculously good, particularly the corn soup with lobster. And again, as soon as you finished your plate it would get swept away sometimes within 60 seconds. A very cool venue built into the side of a vineyard, though voices echoed like crazy making taking to anyone who wasn't sitting next to you almost impossible.

... 3 1/2 stars. They don't get 5 stars because, as much as I understand swallows nesting nearby I don't appreciate spiderwebs and dust all over the chairs in the balcony. The nice bottle of wine can only take you so far.

The stay was great! The room was spacious and came with a bottle of wine, water, and access to the hot tubs and fitness rooms. The only complaint I have is that the beds were a bit dusty, and inhaling all that wasn't so pleasant.

We were very disappointed in our stay. From the second we checked in, the staff was extremely rude. Also, all of the outdoor fireplaces are turned off at 10pm and was advised by staff that we could "hang out in the lobby" if we were looking for something to do. Who wants to travel to California for vacation to sit inside in a lobby on a beautiful evening?? We also overheard multiple other customers complaining of the same issues which also takes away from trying to enjoy our vacation. The rooms are very nice so it is unfortunate that the staff ruins this hotel.

Great staff, there wasn't a single employee there that wouldn't go out of their way to assist. The rooms were beautiful, the bed was like sleeping in a cloud. The wine was of course lovely, if you need a break, try the Napa Smith brewey, the peach beer is delicious!

Great property. I can not comment on accommodations. Certainly enough to find too occupy your free time. Interesting!

Personally I don't like walking through main lobby to enter back patio/pool. My suite is Vino Bello property. I can walk the back parking/road area; not appealing.

A truly wonderful resort & spa in Napa Valley, we stayed two nights and had an unforgettable weekend!
Their vineyards are beautiful, wonderful landscapes also their wine selection is refreshing; good for the heart.
We all had a great time in the family pool, relaxing, swimming and drinking beer from breweries here in California. An amazing resort, great location just a few minutes away from other vineyards.Truly amazing gardens, awesome swimming pool area and full service spa. They also have bowling which awesome, the kids loved it.
The rooms are spacious comfortable with a flat screen tv, a keurig for a goop cup of joe in the morning, and all rooms include a bottle of wine .

The facility was very well maintained and they had availability during the Napa Film Festival. The rate also included a bottle of wine and the room itself was huge.

The water is extremely chlorinated, you should plan to bring your own drinking water and they will offer you a timeshare pitch. Enjoy your time at Meritage and Napa Valley and DECLINE THE PITCH MEETING.

Very exquisite property. The grounds are well maintained. The food, everything, from the main course to dessert, was delicious. There is access to walk among the grape orchards. The staff treats you like royalty. The spa was very nice too. Lots of options for packages. It smelled very alluring. Ican't say enough great things about Meritage. They're also building a 145 bed hotel and spa across the street. I'm sure it will be a duplicate of greatness.

Nice and spacious rooms, with a free bottle of wine in each one. The spa itself is great, with no cell reception so you can relax while getting a massage. Oh, and they have a free bus that makes 3 stops in downtown, which was nice for dinner time. But, one negative - although small - is daylight savings time doesn't give you an extra hour to checkout. So we were all a bit out of it.

Nice place but unorganized. The 9 winery tasting spot and market they advertise as across the street hasn't been built yet. The spa lost my reservation. They put us into a regular room and not the ulgtadeni paid for then couldn't figure out how to fix it. The staff are extremely friendly and hard working but something is missing. The rooms aren't worth the price. The fine dining restaurant has good food but didn't have table cloths and felt like an upscale Denny's.

I'm an evacuee from the wildfires and the Meritage offered a heavily discounted rate for the evacuees, which is great. The staff is very friendly and the on-site cafe and bar are awesome. The bar has a built-in bowling ally that's lit up with LED's.

I went to this resort for a company offsite. The food was great, especially breakfast. Room was spacious for two people, and had everything including kitchen. At the backyard, I was able to have a short hike, which was good. Employees were very kind and nice and service were good in general.

Would not recommend staying here during COVID. Room was still not available three hours after arrival (1 hour after check-in time). No social distancing measures in the lobby aside from hand sanitizer -- people were crowded together trying to check-in with no spacing markers on the floor or anyone ensuring that people stayed an appropriate distance apart. We were sent to pool while we waited, same story there with beds and people on top of each other. Felt so uncomfortable that we cancelled our stay and got a refund.

Have stayed in three other hotels on this trip and had no other problems.

Nice looking resort with very poor service. Some of the staff are nice but the management is terrible. Very unhelpful concierge, such as not even knowing where lunch is served at the hotel. When I inquired about spas, I was told to go online and find out myself. The last straw was that they lost my dry cleaning and they are still looking for it. Finally, definitely not the place to go if you have kids. I do not think I have ever stayed at a resort so unwelcoming to kids....

This was our 2nd stay. Great hotel for the price. Rooms are excellent. Fitness center was the best we've ever used at a hotel. Convenient location to all main roads. Deluxe king room comes with balcony views of hillside vineyards, wine cave entrance and Napa vintner statue.

I like this hotel.

I like this hotel.
Center of downtown.
The staff is nice.
Walking distance to restaurants and shops all around.
No regency club for Globalist.
The breakfast is good.
Place gets booked due to concerts at uptown theater .
A lot of kids can get drunk and be rowdy there.
No rooftop pool or pool. Gym is next door but not in hotel.
Overall it was ok.

The resort was beautiful. However, we were disappointed to learn we had no options for breakfast in the morning. We walked down to the only restaurant, Siena, asked for a table and they said they couldn't sit us unless we had reservations. We would have understood. However, the restaurant was nearly empty. They were not accommodating and refused our business. As a guest, and when you are paying $500/nt, we should expect to be able to eat somewhere when we wake up. There were no other options for food. That said, make sure you make reservations if you expect breakfast in the morning. Or, do what we were forced to do, and pay $45 to take it to go without fully experience the buffet. Very disappointed in their "reservation only" rule.

Very nice hotel. However, the pool and parking situation can be better. There is not many spots by the "adult only" pool. Have to get there early if you want a lounge chair. *if you have a food allergy to corn, stay clear of the drinks offered poolside! Not many corn-free options and the plastic cups are made of corn!* And if you have a late night, be prepared to search for a parking spot and walk. Plus side is there is plenty of Ubers around the location!

Only went for a conference but the hotel was very nice and clean. There was plenty of staff who were more than willing to help. Though it's very close to major thoroughfares, I couldn't hear the noise of traffic at all when I was outside or inside. Felt like a nice getaway spot.
