This is the most beautiful resort in Napa! We got married In May 2016 and it was like a fairy tale, dream come true wedding. All of the people and staff were friendly, attentive and just fun to be around! The rooms are amazing and peaceful. The pool is relaxing and quiet. The wine is to die for! The Spa is Excellent! It's just all around a PERFECT place to run away for some R&R!

Lovely time away from the hectic tourist destination Napa crowd. just a lovely delight, highly recommend if you are looking for a weekend excursion away. My hubby spoiled me for the weekend! Sweet tea and warm toast as a mom always looking for relaxation this is a must choice.

The indoor am enmities made the stay that much more of a delight! Jeffrey was outstanding and gets a 5 STAR! OVERALL lovely time. :)

What a beautiful resort! We came for a work convention and didn't want to leave. Property is beautiful inside and out. Whether you're relaxing in your spacious room with an updated bathroom or walking the vineyard on the property, you won't be disappointed. The amenities are wonderful and include everything from, room service, an on site spa, coffee shop, wine tasting, wine tour, shuttle to town outdoor pool and hot tub, outdoor fireplace, fitness center and more.
We look forward to coming back.

Hotel charged our credit card four months after vacation about 170$ for a room service we never had! because we had already left the hotel. Have had to cancel our credit card and so on. Won't never come back!

First - I'd like to dispel a previous review; the hotel is NOT located in an industrial park (probably spurring the images of a chemical plant), but next to a business park, one that supports the wine industry. Other than driving by it on the way in to the hotel's complex, it has no effect on the resort.

The hotel is located about five miles below downtown Napa, and 15 miles below Yountville. It's a large complex that seems to be set up to host weddings, conferences, and the weekend wine tourists. The grounds were well maintained, and the rooms were decently appointed. I can't speak to the restaurant as we ate offsite, but the coffee shop is comparable to any Starbucks - good coffee and pastry selections.

The only word of caution I can offer is if you're making reservations as part of their golf package, double and triple-check the arrangements with the hotel - then do the same with the golf course. They have a package to play both Chardonnay and Eagle Vines golf courses; the hotel handles all of the tee times. After booking, then reconfirming with the hotel, we showed up to Chardonnay the first day with them expecting two foursomes... we only had one. A call over to Eagle Vines confirmed the same was done there for our next day reservation. Further, the course was expecting us to walk in carrying vouchers from the hotel - was never mentioned to us. We addressed this with the front desk upon our return... they said that they were unaware of vouchers but would make sure we're all set for the next day. Next day - same thing happened at Eagle Vines. Both courses said this is an ongoing problem...

Had a quick lunch at the Siena restaurant on a Friday afternoon. The lunch menu is small and tends towards lighter fare. The 4 of us dining each had a different plate, and while none of the dishes were bad, neither were they exceptional. The staff was friendly and generally prompt. Overall it was a 3-4 star experience if 5 stars really is something special.

Gorgeous resort, beautiful vineyards, courteous staff, dog friendly, excellent spa, modern rooms, plenty of amenities -- really there is much to love, and not much to complain about. Every staff has gone above and beyond their duties and provided excellent service, with the exception of the on-site wedding coordinator that we had (she was terrible - but she is no longer employed here, so it is now a non-issue).

I would highly recommend The Meritage Resort to anyone that is looking for luxurious accommodations in wine country.

I visited this property as part of a larger company function - this appears to be where this property excels. Everything I experienced at the company function was great, it seemed like the staff at the property were on the ball with food, refreshments and so on.

The room was great, very clean, nice and modern no problems at all. Only quip would be the fairly high cost of room service - you would probably be better off going elsewhere if you can.

Outdoor area is great but the resort is a 3.5 overall. The rooms do not have comforters for the bed. Just thin sheets. They give you an extra blanket that is basically the thin one you get in the hospital. They over charge. The manager apparently isn't in every day so we have to wait until the morning to attempt to get this resolved. We booked on booking.com and we're charged not only double the price but every night they took out for insurance on the room instead of doing it at the time of check in as a lump sum. My husband came here to work the fires. Several first responders are here. They also didn't honor the booking.com lower rate even though they said they match it. My husband has stayed 3 weeks and is supposed to stay an additional month. Due to the charges and lack of amenities in the room he's checking out here to go to Embassy Suites. Pool is nice. Restaurant on site closes early and isn't open on Sunday.

The SPA is amazing!

The SPA is amazing!
The staff are incredibly welcoming and kind.
But the rooms are such a disappointment. Definitely not worth the price.
Either you have a nice view but can hear every single step above you. OR you have a view of a wall outside your room and it's amazingly quiet. Can't have both!
The location of the hotel isn't ideal either. Big downside. It's very far from downtown and all other Napa happenings in what looks like a commercial area?? Weird. And not convenient for exploring Napa. If you like staying on the resort, you'll love this place. Didn't suit me unfortunately.
Sad, because I REALLY wanted to like this place!

Nice facility but appears understaffed. First reservation was lost, they could not find our reservation number even though we had it on an email confirmation for Vino Bello. They eventually put us up in The Meritage. Always had to wait for help at check in desk as the few staff there had trouble with reservation systems.

PROS:

PROS:
- friendly service
- nice access to the vineyards

CONS:
- this is not an "upscale" resort. If you look closely at the pictures, or worse, visit it, it resembles the Arrested Development model home. Think of it as the Coppola Winery (plywood and children peeing in a pool) presented by Livermore Outlet Mall.
- it's very expensive, but features such amenities as tacky upholstery, duplicate prints of the same art on the SAME wall, and faux candle dripping wall sconces.
- you truly have to drive through a sad business park just to be able to get here; it's not a magical getaway.

If anyone has any recommendations for a truly upscale resort, please comment here!

This place is basically a Disneyland Italian Villa. Wants you to feel the ambiance of a story book villa, but get all the tourist amenities of Napa Valley.

Honestly the room was an average room. Not much different than a business class room at a Marriott hotel or even a Holiday Inn Express. Nothing too fancy, but clean and comfortable.

The fitness room gets high marks. Larger than most, with more than usual weight machines. Dumbbells go up to 75lbs.

Such an incredible place! I was lucky enough to have this resort as a home away from home for working remotely for a couple of weeks. The staff was just incredible in making us feel welcome for that long. They opened up unused meeting rooms for free for us if we had important meetings, and helped with any thing we needed. Heidi and Nino from the front desk were just incredible, and the grounds/sales staff who were so kind about opening their doors made our stay idyllic. Add in the incredible weekly yoga, and beautiful grounds to walk on and the roses, and I hope to be coming back here for a long time!

Beautiful grounds. Very nice rooms. Good food. Only having one person at the desk for check in was awful.. the wait time was excessive. I got to the resort about 2 hours early and I checked in and they said my room was not ready yet but it would be ready very soon and I would receive a email with the room number and key. That didn't happen until after 6pm when I called them. Then we had to stand in a long line at the cheek in area just to get a key. The check in process is in dire need of more staff and much better management.

Spa Terra was everything that the reviews described it to be, just utterly beautiful and extremely relaxing. We had the couple's massage that included a 25 min soak in our private jacuzzi, before embarking on our 50 min massage. It was absolutely incredible!!! I only wish it was longer! Definitely coming back again!!!

Beautiful images of my walks thru the vineyards and various spots during my stay at Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa, Ca. The resort itself is gorgeous. Classic setting, comfortable rooms with soft plush beds and lavishly soft pillows! The toiletries are lightly fragranced and pleasant enough for both men and woman. The food was catered for our business meetings and was delicious! Definitely look forward to returning for a pleasure trip vs a business trip.

Ultra-pricey for being in the middle of nowhere next to a business park. The spa is run by an outside company and everything is a la carte. There are some more expensive "packages" that include credit toward the spa. Overall, I probably would not stay there again. Room was adequate, bed was comfortable and bathroom was acceptable. However, for the price, one would expect more. BTW, I had a "spring special" price and even at that price, it still was too expensive. It's not like it is located at Santa Monica beach or well any beach. It's in the middle of nowhere a few miles from Napa Valley downtown. There is nothing within walking distance except some businesses including a satellite internet main office *sarcasm*, but true.

I received excellent treatment as an evacuee from some of the Napa fires. Rooms cost a mere $100 for evacuees, a significant discount. Free food was offered for evacuees, and pets could be allowed in rooms which is generally not allowed. The service was above and beyond. From relatives staying there at normal price, the value still stays and the service is still excellent.

They doubled charged my card for 2 rooms (I only purchased one room)that were already paid in advance, my room wasn't ready when we arrived they also tried to down grade my room when I returned to see if my room was ready yet. It was all around a bad experience. I'm still waiting to be refunded for the inconvenience and this was in August of this year!

I usually like coming here but didn't have a very good experience my last stay. My wife and I spent 1 night last weekend to enjoy Napa Valley. We planned to do some of our laundry while we were out but the machine was broken, and though the attendent was super helpful he had to replace both machines which was time consuming and we were stuck waiting in the room until he was finished and went to dinner late. The next day we asked for a late check-out. It was daylight svaings so we already lost an hour so.you think they could give us at least that and maybe some of our time back waiting, but we got 30 minutes more. I consider that subpar customer service.
