Very clean! The bathroom door would not stay close...

Went to New York in September for five days stayed in Manhattan time square hotel. The staff where nice polite and very helpful!!! Room was cleaned every other day no problem!! Willing to use this hotel again when I visit it with my son next year
Without infamy and without praise. Bad reception and breakfast staff. Dirty hotel. Crumbling toilet facilities.
Although this hotel is in a great location, it was really unimpressive once you got past the lobby. It wasn't well kept at all. On our floor there were waves in the carpet, the wall paper was peeling off, and it seemed really unclean. My husband and I were really disappointed. The Marriott and other chain hotels that were close by were the same amount, I will check those out next time we head to NYC.
The hotel from the outside looks great but it's not all that much
Book in advance and request higher floor, but to expensive with 300$
Close to time square. Nice lobby. The rooms were ok, but need a little upgrading.
Good price benefit ratio. Excellent location in Time Square
Super good location, close to many NYC key places, Times Square, Broadway shows, restaurants, 5th Avenue, and many metro stations and lines.
Nice and comfortable rooms. We sent several amazon packages and the team working at the counter always very helpful.
Very good service overall in the Hotel.
Some things to consider.
The room does not have a frigobar, which seems strange for a Hotel of this level.
During the morning the elevator gets so busy that sometimes you have to wait for more than 4 or 5 to be able to jump into one.
After reading reviews on other sites and started to panic about it, we have it a bash.
I am in agreeance that the hotel needs updated. But if you can look past that, it's a great hotel.
We had our bags collected on arrival (not used to that hospitality so thought it was great). Check in was quick and easy. Although they ask for your credit card (my hol was booked through an agency so everything was already prepaid) but this is for a security deposit (wasn't explained at the time my card would show charges, but would get them back should I return the keycards) and we went to our room.
Elevators are super fast unless you have to do various stops but there are several there.
We had the standard room, which was ample for us. Yes it had some decor flaws but bed was comfortable and we slept well.
House keeping was fab and friendly and any questions we had were answered clearly.
So would I stay here again? Course I would! I was there to see NYC for the first time and like I said, look pass the decor flaws, you have a great hotel in a prime location!
Excellent location, five minutes from Times Square and ten from Central Park.
The rooms are a bit 'dated and the carpet not look like much cleaning.
Nevertheless, the bed is very comfortable and the linens and towels looked quite clean. Rooms with large and beautiful TV.
Great location just small flat for the rooms a bit dated but very comfortable
Great location. It's ironic because the lobby looks very glamorous, but the rooms are motel 6 quality. My room had a bathtub that looked like it was rotting. The soundproofing was terrible so you could hear a lot of noise from the outside. Very overpriced for the room quality. Very dingy. If you are in New York to party and want a hotel with a good location this place is adequate. If you want a comfortable room where you can sleep look elsewhere. Very overpriced with a litany of fees.
The pictures do not correspond to the actual rooms and hotel decor. The hall is refurbished, but the rest of the hotel looks like a cheap motel. Not very clean overall and mediocre service.
They should be upfront about it, but instead they pictures of rooms that are in a floor that in exclusively for "executive club" loyality members.
The other 15 floors are "shining"-like experience.
On top of that are also "hidden" charges. Never again.
The position is excellent, simply ask for a higher price and the correct room pictures and position yourself correctly as a convenience tourist spot.
They said the hotel will provide free shuttle to airport when I booked. But the front desk staff insisted they don't have shuttle service. ~
Loved this place. Convenient and clean. Great service.
The location is good, the room is comfortable, with good bed, efficient internet and bath always with hot water. However, the hotel facilities leave a little to be desired.
Great price, location, and very friendly staff! I will be returning.
Yuck! Awful. 1980s pink bathrooms in disrepair. Rooms in disrepair. Electrical sockets all broken huge fire hazard. Tubs were nasty. I mean places makes money hand over fist. Would it hurt to do renovations?
Just got back from this friendly hotel staff excellent rooms very adequate and clean would highly recommend
Because you can deyanunar and the room is very good
Very friendly staff but definitely I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I woke up with the ceiling in the bathroom falling apart. I asked to switch rooms and they did it. Later in the day, the AC stopped working in my new room. It s 1:44 am and that s the 3rd time I am having a technician to check it. They were able to fix it for awhile then AC always stops working. The technician told the AC is overheated and it is not going to work. He was very nice and offered me a fan and asked me if I would like to open the window. I hate fan and with all those noises in the city who is able to sleep with an open window?!? For a almost $300 daily rate, I was expecting something much better. Terrible experience...I want my money back!!!!!
This was the worst hotel I be ever stayed in. I had reservations for two nights in a room with two beds. When checking in I was told only room available was with one bed. This really wasn t an issue as my friend was unable to attend the conference at the last minute.
It was 8 pm when I arrived, after a long day at the Javits Center I was exhausted. I went to my room, undressed and went to bed. The bed was so uncomfortable I was tossing and turning until after midnight. I finally de died to take a shower about 1 am.
The bath room was disgusting! I ll attach pics. The tub appeared not to have been cleaned in a very long time, not only dirty, filthy and hair in the tub and also on the floor.
I was besides myself, I attempted to call, the front desk but my phone in my room didn t work. Now I m thinking if the bathroom I can see is this dirty, how bad is what I haven t looked at? I lifted the sheets to find there was no mattress pad either.
I used my cell phone and called the front desk. I was told there were no other rooms available but they could send someone up to clean it. It s now 1:30 am. I stated I wasn t comfortable with someone coming up at that hour and I d wait until the morning, however there was no way I d be able to take a shower. I asked for and received their email and sent the pics of the bathroom. I never received a reply to that email.
In the morning I quickly washed and left the room. Stopped at the front desk and showed the pics to Ali Lovi. Ali did move me to another room that evening.
However, I can t understand how this room was ever permitted to be used in this condition. There is no way this was from one night not being cleaned.
I m extremely upset and disgusted that I spent the night in that room.
Just an average hotel, that happens to be in the perfect place.
Location was 5 stars. Bedding was comfortable. Lobby was noisy, 1star. Breakfast expensive from a Starbucks in the lobby. Not enough seating. Rooms were expensive for what you got. Not recommended.
Very very disappointed in my stay! No one is helpful! No one is even picking the calls at the reception.
Terrible experience for a hotel in time square.
Very good location, but the taxes that were charged did not appear on the page and the rooms of the photos were not the same in person.
It has well-equipped gym, neat lobby and water dispensers
Photos on website did not match the reality of this hotel.
Hotel very, very outdated, needs a lot of maintenance and renovations. Receptionist not attentive. Excellent location to visit New York.
This is an older hotel being slowly refurbished. They started with an elegant and functional lobby. Elevators are being updated (October 2014), causing waits up to 10 minutes in the morning and evening. Rooms are a little shabby but spotlessly clean, with mattresses that felt new. Staff are efficient and super friendly and helpful. Can't beat the location for the price.
Excellent. Room is kind of small. But overall is great. Unbeatable location!
So I stayed at this hotel and the pictures are not like the hotel room I stayed in. We called concerning parking and asking about prices, and the operator didn't even let us finish our sentence, and transferred us to someone else, then that person only heard 2 words come out of my mouth and just put us on hold and after it became clear that he wasn't getting back to us, we hung up and already had a horrible impression of the hotel. Then we go in, go to our hotel rooms, that was already super expensive, and it looks horrible, I am not talking about the old interior, but I am talking about the condition of the room. There were tears on the wallpaper, the bathtub had brown red stains on the rim, there were squashed bug guts on the ceiling AND in the bathroom, and the tv didn't even work properly, it kept going red and turning off. Also, the room's air conditioning was not working, it was the same temperature even when we changed it, there was not even a fridge or microwave, which for the price, would be expectant. I have stayed at cheaper hotels that were much nicer ! Also, when we were checking out, we got charged EXTRA fees for facility, but it was poorly maintained! And finally, when we were leaving, and we asked about these extra fees at the front desk, the guy literally pointed at the sheet, and told us to READ IT. He just kept saying that it was facility fees but never explained what they were for. Only perks about this hotel were location. I would not recommend.
Great location at the Centre of Manhattan. Facility was a bit old and they still charge $40 fee for wifi and gym which was said to be complimentary upon check-in. Worst thing is the room keepers just enter the room when the guest is inside their private space.
Friendly staff from the check in to the check out. Great location from time square to central Park and the subway. I would stay here again if I come back to visit.
Very good location and nice facilities. It is expensive to have breakfast there but it is compensated with the large number of bars around
0 STARS!!! It seems that the reviews on google aren t very accurate look at the reviews on yelp, you will see they are far from the same. I would like to start out by saying this is one of the worst hotels I ve ever stayed at - and I can t stress enough how much the pictures online look nothing like the actual rooms. My wife and I have traveled all over the world and have stayed in far superior hotels in much less developed countries. Not what we expected at all for a hotel in New York City, let alone the famed Time Square. We did not walk barefoot on the carpet and did not shower because the tub in our room was so nasty looking. If we were planning on staying more than one night I would have requested a refund and changed hotels. If you re going to be in town spend the money and get a better hotel.
I went a year ago, but the old condition does not matter, but the cleaning condition is very bad. In the bathtub, the hair of the previous guest was tangled and there were many scratches. It is a place where you can not go if it is not cheap.
This hotel is (as you have, no doubt, gathered) in a very convenient location. The list ends there. I believe that the reason for the poor quality of it is that tourists are thought to be out and about so often, they would not realize how rubbish the hotel is. The walls are crumbling and everything seriously needs an update. I strongly suspect that the two - bedroomed room we were given was originally intended to have only one. As a result, the room is extremely cramped.
Upon arriving, we found the room was extremely dusty and had not been cleaned. The walls and doors are very hollow and you can hear neighbouring guests as well as the sound of the lift. Outside of the rooms, the hall is very depressing and has the same air of shabbiness. Often, the water and ice dispenser does not work. Very disappointed, especially since it looks very sophisticated on the outside. Do not stay here.
My favorite thing about this hotel is the prime location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room size (King) is also great specifically for a NYC hotel which tend to be super small. Although the bathroom was a bit tight. It is an old hotel, however and the bathrooms especially need updating (grout should be replaced and/or thoroughly cleaned). The cosmetic upgrades would make a much better impression and an enjoyable stay.
Great location to Times Square, but the hotel rooms and hotel itself is looking a little tired and in need of an upgrade and renovations..
The place is in a great location but don't believe the pictures on the website or travel website. Those are not pictures of the rooms you normally book. When we complained to the front desk we were told those pictures were the exclusive high-end membership rooms. The front desk person even admitted that it is confusing and they get a lot of complaints but there was nothing they can do. Our rooms were old looking with old carpet and furniture and paint peeling from the walls. The bathroom was tiny with towels so thin you can see through them and the tub had little specs of pink mold. There was always a long line of people complaining at the front desk and the bellmen were very understaffed so if you do stay here make sure you start getting your luggage 30 minutes before you have to leave for the airport. I've stayed at much better places in Times Square for less money so I would recommend shopping around and don't pay up front because then you are really stuck.
The people there were great they were also very nice. I loved it there.
Very well located with good prices. The service left something to be desired. The rooms are old.
The worst thing ever . The only good thing was the location. Do Not pick this hotel ever.
The hotel's location is excellent!! The Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Subway Station, Weight food stores, Apple Store, etc. everything close. I want to highlight the attention of Mohammad, impeccable. After all the employees are cordial, attentive and kind! The hall of the building is beautiful but the hotel infrastructure is old. You have to improve the departments! The bathtub when going out to shower is filled with water and covered and then the heating did not work. I think they should not charge feed in this hotel. After the rest everything is fine. Thank you! Recommendable!
The hotel was redoing lobby during our first 2 nights, there were ladders everywhere which was totally a mess. And we surprisingly found they put all the cleaning stuff at the corridors which made corridors really narrow.
Then at the 3rd day we came back at 5 pm, and they didn't clean our room. I thought maybe the hotel missed our room, but we were so tired and decided to have a rest first. Then the housekeeper came at 5:30 pm when we were sleeping : (
At the checking out day, we requested a late check out at front desk and the door key still didn't work when we got back. And they charged facility fee for $15 per day which hadn't mentioned us when we checked in nor had they mentioned in the confirmation email.
I won't recommend this hotel if you want a comfort stay.
Stay away from this hotel!
I had a worst experience in this hotel!
There was a black Mole over washroom ceiling hood and it was just falling on sink which was disgusting, when we asked staff to move us to another room they mentioned there is no other room available.
They cleaned the washroom when we mentioned them but few hours after black dirt would cover the sink again.
Average hotel. Not very good bathroom. But as always one have to pay for location
It's okay. Very good situation, very close to what is Central Park and Times Square ...
Price as it depends on the season and the reservation you make in advance.
bad in the service and in the welcome, dated rooms and bathrooms of the 800 only positive note the location nothing else.
Don't go. This place is dated and grossed me out. It looks like the walls and curtains have never been cleaned, there were stains on the carpet and it was bunched up in places. Go to the Andaz instead, beautiful location matched with beautiful rooms.
Most terrible hotel I stayed in years. It looks like it needed to be renovated 20 years ago and is so worn out, old and tired.
Only plus is a good location and that s the only reason people stay there.
Nothing to do with the pictures presented on the website: the rooms are at least 30 years old! The wallpaper comes off, the household leaves something to be desired ... Big disappointment!
Great location; it's only about a 10 minute walk to Times Square. There are lots of subway stations that are only minutes away too.
When we checked in, our room was upgraded without us asking. House keeping was a bit slow but all the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Our room was a bit dated but very spacious and included a large balcony. The hotel offers free WiFi and free filtered water (!)
Worn hotel, casual service, very responsive! Not worth the money!
Very rundown carpets with stains feel like they are in a joint building and not in a hotel, very bad because the location is really good in the center. But it should be noted that reception and cafeteria service is excellent
Rooms were nothing like the pictures when booking, carpet was raggy and the carpet in the hall had damage to it. The morning of checkout the floors in the hall were wet (floor 17)
OMG this place is freaking horrible and the staff are a disaster (except for Star). We arrived early and scheduled an early check-in but was never given one therefore we left our bags with the bellhop & The bellhop made us carry our own luggage to the closet. So they told us to return within four hours and a room would be ready we were turned around noon and I room still wasn t ready and had to wait another two hours for a room to be ready...... as were waiting in the lobby we were exhausted from my trip one of us fell asleep on the couch and they had the nerve to come wake him up. We were even offered a glass of water while we re waiting this hotel is disgusting and it already has a 2-star rating so I m not surprised but it was last minute and It was the only thing available, go figure!!! Trust me pay extra & go somewhere else, it ll be worth it.....
The ceiling fell in. In the bathroom took them an hour to decide that I need a new room. Moved me to a room with air conditioning they said they would fix it but 6 hours later is still broke. $200 a night you would think service would be better
Very sad rooms, people can get into depression but u stay more then 2 days in the room... Too expensive and the website says a different price & u get charged more...
Nice location/lobby but the hallways feel like you're in an insane asylum and when you walk into the room the wallpaper is peeling there's writing on the walls and the bed was like sleeping on srpings. The bathroom had mold in the shower and was very disgusting, wouldn't recommend this hotel.
The employees and service(s) offered made this hotel unmatched in the industry. By far the best overall hotel experience I've ever had. I love the staff that I was fortunate to meet and share a laugh with.
The lobby was nice and spacious and my room was a good spacious size giving me plenty of room to move around. However the bathroom was camped and didn t seem very clean and the shower was slow to get warm. The availability of plugins for laptop and charging devices were scarce and only found by moving tables.
Stayed 2 nights. Lobby was decent but from the elevator my nightmare began. 20th floor. Paint job was horrible in the hall way. As I opened the room, I thought I was in the basement. Luckily AC worked fine but still had an odor of fungus. Carpet was nasty, dusts everywhere. Partially uncovered bed foundation which looked awful and believe me the bed need to go to the junk yard. Went inside of the bathroom and immediately noticed fungi on the ceiling.. bathtub was old. The water would not go down so I checked.. found a chunk of slimy hairs..water still wouldn't go down after taking those out. Oh.. same with the sink. Water dont go down nicely. Think carefully if you are planning on staying here....
No Internet, no breakfast- the hotel room smelled of smoke. The worst 4 star hotel Ive ever stayed in.
The location is great but the hotel needs a good revamping. The carpets in the hallways are bunched up. The TV kept skipping. Needs fresh paint. It was difficult to control the temperature in our room. The service was kind though.
Excellent location but very crowded and lot of noise .
My wife and I stayed for 06 days at this Hotel and we loved it! Everything very good, internet, breakfast, treatment etc ...
Thinking this was a decent rated hotel I'd figure better rooms....not the case....if you stay in this hotel please don't stay during the summer. The A/C units they have are VERY out of date and don't cool at all. They barely throw out any More
