One of the worst hotels I ve ever experienced. Making the reservations went well & communicating with them beforehand. But when we entered, they were disorganized & didn t have my reservation all together (6 rooms). Then the cost wasn t what they sent me ahead of time. Then they tried to put 2 members of my delegation in the same room. Then they charged me for 7 rooms, although we were 6. Then they couldn t resolve it and told me it was my problem. The entire time they kept trying to blame me. I am stuck here with my delegation until Saturday and we re all anxious and disappointed. Also my room is dirty and run down (look at pics), but I don t even want to say anything because I m assuming it ll get worse. For $600/night, yeah, I get it s in a good location, but I still expect more. I keep wondering why I didn t just take us all to a Kimpton, or ask Rosewood DC if they had a sister hotel in Manhattan.

This was our second stay at The London NYC, the first one was about 11 years ago. Unbeknown to us, it was acquired by Hilton this past fall and will be one of their upscale Conrad brands. We were totally pleased with this establishment. EVERY single one of their staff, from the doormen, to the front desk personnel, to the bar staff, to the restaurant servers and managers were EXTREMELY friendly, courteous, and conversive. Our room was an incredible mini-suite on the 45th floor with incredible views and a very comfortable bed. We had the breakfast buffet this morning which was expansive, delicious, and included bottomless coffee and fresh juices. It is a bit tired, but we were informed that the hotel will be completely renovated during 2018, so I look forward to returning and seeing the new changes. This is our benchmark for hotels in NYC and look forward to returning again in the near future! Keep up the great work!

Celebrating 25 years of marriage.
My wife and I stayed here before in the summer for her birthday. I wanted to give it a star 5 then but couldn't because of the customer service given by the front desk and the restaurant. This is a review based on our stay there at Christmas celebrate their 25th years of marriage. The first person that spoke to me was Christopher (Guest Services) and the first words to come out of his mouth was you're come in the wrong way. Yes I did come the revolving door on the left side. I was stressed from traveling and was tired. The very first words no smile. The people working in the front desk needs to learn about customer service they need to smile. Never get a room close to the elevator it can be loud at times. The restaurant has improved tremendously and I know this is a hotel that is being renovated. I'm a diamond member and never was mentioned of diamond status. The restaurant was much better. The location was great. Minutes away from everything. This hotel is making improvements and I believe it will be a star 5 one day.

This used to be my go to hotel. I love the location, the rooms are great and I've been coming here for years. For the past few trips as I've flown in for business, I have never received the room originally booked. I will either get relegated to a smoker floor, handicap accessible room, or twin beds.

During the last trip, same occurrence happened. I accepted the downgrade while remarkably paying the same per night cost, and on morning after checkin asked the front desk if I can be transferred to the room book. I got confirmation and after asking several times if I needed to call and have my bag transferred she confirmed all will be settled by noon. Upon returning to the hotel, same story. No transfer was done, back to a twin room, same per night cost. Though management confirmed a transfer for night two, I no longer have faith in the hotel staff.

Stay away if you wish to get charged on something you will rarely get.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!
The hotel charged me for two suites when I only stayed in one this past July. They refused to acknowledge their mistake and my credit card company accepted both receipts. The manager had promised the first cancellation and that never happened.
Very dishonest hotel. Watch for the fine print.

Very nice and personal atmosphere, from check-in to check-out. Highly recommended. Only drawback: They trick you into booking a breakfast-buffet for 25$ plus drinks sold separetely and then you find out, that even eggs are extra-cost. Recommend "The Park" coffeeshop instead, just turn right out of the hotel door, right again at 7th Ave and cross 55th street. It's right there. Cheaper, better and nice atmosphere, too

Our new go to hotel in Midtown. The room was quiet and spacious and great bed and bathroom. Enjoyed the bar and as Diamond member enjoyed the 60 dollar credit towards breakfast. The housekeeping did a great job every morning and always asked what time we wanted the room made up which we very much appreciated. Location is close to everything and every staff member we interacted with went out of their way to provide friendly efficient answers or service. Can't wait to return.

Really fabulous rooms. But, disappointingly the lobby bar and restaurant is still being remodeled, so it's room service meals only and go get a drink in the few bars down the street. The minibar prices are eye-watering and you would have thought that they'd reduce the costs considering there's no bar. But, sadly they haven't.
Staff couldn't be more helpful, courteous and polite.

Loved it!!! Elevators well distributed By floors, never waited more than 3 minutes. Large and funcional rooms, very good location, 4 min walking to Central Park, Times square 5 min walking, excelent staff very very competent.

The hotel itself was ok, I would say it could use an update for the lower class rooms that are used more.

When we got there the A/C unit didnt function properly and it did take a while to get fixed. The guy was great and once there was fast.

The people who work there were great from the front desk to concierge they were helpful and very pleasant.

I would advise this hotel but get a higher end room.

If your doing a quick stay in a cheap room I'd go to someone else.

I had been aready aware of their current renovation before the stay. My room was clean but It seems that the service management was out of hand. Hard to use their small tiny elevators. Delayed and out of order frequently. The staff did not respond at all. They have no idea about what the maintenance and service should be kept. They will be Conrad soon? Really?

Worse service ever. Room service didn't clean your bathroom and prepare new shampoo. Front desk keeps talks on phone without noticing you to get your things done. But they look pretty nice to white people. Probably only discrimination against people who are Asian. That is.

Conrad is by far one of my favorite Hilton properties, and they seriously went all out to make the start to our honeymoon extra special. The renovations are fantastic and from the greeting of the bellman at the front door, to the amazing desk and building staff, it's a great experience in NYC with any occasion. I didn't expect the extra touch of being greeted with some champagne and chocolate strawberries! Things like this are why I choose Hilton and Conrad whenever I can. Thank you!

Really great experience. We were exhausted from travelling and spent the last night of our honeymoon here. All we wanted was sleep and a shower and what we got was that plus an amazing view, enormous room with great privacy and comfort. Highly recommend.

My husband and I just stayed here for a night. The rooms are great, they are spacious. The shower was also very big. Good location, and friendly staff. I was so impressed by the size of the room. It made our stay very comfortable. The only negative I could say is it is slightly outdated in decor. Other than that everything was perfect, we had a great time and I would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are extra large by NYC standards. Concierge and room service is impeccable. We needed a clothing steamer and extra lighting for a shoot ,in minutes it was brought up to the room. Love that!

To say that this property is sub-par would be kind. First, this property is undergoing renovation so all the "good rooms" on higher floors are not available, a fact that is not disclosed on the gorgeous website. I booked a room with a view and, as a Diamond loyalty member, I realize I expect a bit more but this property is such a departure from what is advertised, I would advise anyone to stay away. As this was a special occasion, I called ahead to reconfirm and was told that "I was really going to like the room" in spite of the fact that I was not getting the room I booked. I was told that we were "upgraded" which I found out later (from conversations at breakfast with other guests) that is what they were telling everyone who didn't get what they booked. The room we got had a view of a brick wall. The room itself was in such a state of disrepair we were shocked at how bad it was. When I complained, I was given the brush off, we I noted we didn't get what we booked, I was told I could cancel but where was I going to go that same day during the holiday season? The bathroom was supposed to be "luxury" but it was just an open design with cheap fixtures that flooded water onto the bathroom floor. The "buffet" was atrocious and at $100 for 2 buffets and a coffee, unbelievably overpriced. I will let the unattended stations, thrown together food and rubber egg hot plate photos speak for themselves. The staff ranged from obnoxious to ambiguous. Overall, these people should be ashamed of themselves for charging the insane $800+/ night price tag for a luxury suite. I know I won't get my money back or even an acknowledgement beyond the usual "business owner response" of some variation of "Geez we're sorry about your stay," but please heed my warning. Stay away. Cancel if you can. Don't ruin a good visit to a great city with this dump.

We had a great stay here. Got a family suit for our family of 5. Plently of space in the suite with separate bed room and living area. Place is very clean and staff are very helpful. Located very close to public transport and central park.

Hotels can make or break a trip. This is my first time staying at The London and plan on coming back every time. My experience was 100% positive. The staff was professional, kind, and helpful. The room was quiet and spacious. I would highly recommend it.

the service is impeccable. loved the staff and the Doormen (Bruce WIllis lookalike Mike is GREAT) ok so the bar and restaurant are very cool and the bartenders were very good. We had a great upgraded room but the shower was weird. its long....and a 4ft piece of glass on each side with a 4ft opening that got the floors all wet. no lock on the bathroom door it was a slider without too much privacy as we had our 2 kids on the sleeper sofa. Our MB was good and the heat worked perfectly!!! lol

Very spacious rooms for NYC. Great location for all of the tourist attractions. As others have said, some of the furniture is banged up and rooms are in need of maintenance to bring it up to top luxury standards. If you are picky about that- I would hold off on this property until after they finish the renovations which are planned I hear for 2019. As for me I appreciated the space and had a great stay. Breakfast in the morning was top notch and choices were plentiful.

Great location ! Service started with valet. He memorized our names, flagged us cabs each day and always asked how we were doing. 5 Star Service from this guy! Hotel was clean, check in was a breeze, restaurant downstairs was good. Ate breakfast 2 mornings there. Large buffet and good selection of menu items- a little pricey. I m a big Hilton Honors fan for work . Just as good if not better for non work travel. Using points to take my daughter ion a fun NYC trip before sending her off to college. We had the 2 twin London flat which had a great sitting area! Also love the nightly room refresh ! Thanks @hilton!

After being a loyal customer for 15 years, they lost my business because they added undeclared charges to my bill and were extremely rude when I raised this with the front desk and the manager. Thanks for making a long-time customer feel cheated and unwelcome.

The apartment suite was phenomenal! The view of Central Park and Times Square lights were just breathtaking. The room service was unbelievable! I needed contact solution at 1:00 AM and just a couple of minutes later, an employee was knocking on my door with the product. I loved the location. The hotel is definitely chic.

We've stayed here twice now, and we had a great experience both times. We picked this hotel because we occasionally travel to NYC with our dog, and this is a dog-friendly hotel that is a stone's throw from Central Park.

The Conrad was renovated last year and rebranded from the London. All rooms in the Conrad are suites. Every stay includes free WiFi, HD TV, bathrobe and slippers, and no weight limit for pets. Check-in is 3pm and check-out is 12pm.

When you walk into the suite, the spacious living space welcomes you with its wooden floors, large couch, cozy rug, and homey decorative artwork. There's also a table with two chairs that's perfect for work or in-room dining.

What I like about the suite is that there are double doors that lead to the bedroom and bathroom. If you have 3 people staying in a suite, you could have one guest sleep in a rollaway bed in the living area and everyone still has their own separate space.

The bed is super comfy. I always have a good night's rest sleeping in that bed. The bathroom is nice, but the layout is not ideal. It's a very narrow space. The shower is great though.

The first time we stayed here, the elevators were a bit slow. It would take sometimes as long as 10 minutes for an elevator to come to our floor, sometimes even longer than peak hours. I'll attribute this to the fact that the hotel was still under construction, so I won't hold it against them. Furthermore, the last time we visited, the elevators were operating normally.

Our dog absolutely loves staying here. He's got so much space to lounge around in the suite. Due to the hotel's proximity to Central Park, we take him to the park every morning and night. The Conrad's staff is so friendly to him. The first time we stayed, the front desk gave him a bandana and a collapsible water bowl with the Conrad branding.

One night, my husband and I were having drinks with friends. We planned to return to the hotel to feed and walk our dog before heading out to a dinner reservation. Unfortunately, there was untimely traffic. We called the hotel and asked if they could find a dog service to help out with feeding and walking our dog, and they followed through on our request. We were so grateful to the staff for helping us out.

We have wonderful stays at the Conrad, and we'll most likely be booking our stay here anytime we come to New York with our dog.

The newly remodeled Conrad (formerly The London) has large suites, with city and/or Park views. Great amenities.
The restaurant had not yet reopened when I stayed, but the hotel gave me a room service credit to make up for it.

Great location, friendly and efficient staff, luxurious digs.

The positives: Great location, good rooms, and a wonderful staff. One point off for not having coffee available in the room. If you order the smallest coffee, it's $25 with room service charges. Second point off is maintenance. One of the bathroom lights was out, I reported it and it was not fixed. The edge of the shelf below the closet area is old and gave me a big splinter. A great property but getting long in the tooth and still very expensive.

This hotel is insanely good! I've only stayed once awhile but it was very memorable. From what I remember, I think all the rooms are suites. Each room has two TVs. One in the living room and one in the bedroom. The suites were very cozy, spacious, and modern. Great hotel in a great location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The London NYC, when booking we mentioned it was our anniversary and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Contrary to other reviews, our room was updated nicely and was very clean. There is even a turndown service! The location couldn't be beaten as you can to Central Park and very accessible to both the East and West sides. We will definitely stay here again!

The London was very comfortable with nice size rooms. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. I liked having the bedroom separated from the living room area as it gave added privacy. My one complaint would be the lack of ability to get a snack or cup of tea easily late at night as I did not see anywhere in the hotel to buy something.light. I actually went outside to the Hilton less than a block away to get a cup of tea.

i always stay at Hilton hotels and this time we were expecting something great since it is a Conrad, an upscale of the Hilton hotels.

location: nice location in the center of the city.
View: ZERO. you have all the other apartments hovering over your unit and can view you from their pads. we had to turn on the lights on and close all window coverings for some privacy.

Staff: great and very helpful and nice people.

Food: was not big fan of it at all. Breakfast was very basic and lacks choices. very poor options for their buffet. Embassy suite, hiltons and Holiday Inn breakfasts had much bigger variety and options. their baked goods are cold and not even baked on site. would have been great it they warmed them a bit.

wanted to try it out and stay during out 9 day stay in NY but then after one night we left and decided not to extend it.

will surely never stay at that hotel. not sure if all Conrad will have such a basic minimal breakfast menu but i am happy with Embassy suites and Hilton Hotels over the Conrad family

Geez...clean sheets, fantastic pillows and squeaky clean bathrooms are an expectation no matter where you stay, but we all know reality dictates otherwise. Not at LONDON NYC! The doormen have worked there for years and they get it! Friendly guys with a sincere effort to please and accommodate. The housekeepers are competent and do a fine job. The bar is excellent. The dinner menu lacks the creativity and imagination NYC is known for producing. The restaurant is too pretentious. GO south for dinner, SoHo has better offerings

Amazing stay. Clean rooms! But what stood out most to me was the wine selection at the bar! I didn t feel like I was at an average hotel bar and it quickly became the regular bar for my trip!! The bar manager eventually recognized us as regulars and greated is with a warm smile and great recommendations! I highly recommend this hotel based on bar alone!

I was mainly there for a meeting, but the place was very nice. Had to use the rest room before the meeting, and it was very well kept and the look of it was pleasing. While in one of the suites, the rooms looks inviting and I would consider staying there myself!

Worst hotel I have ever experienced in any country...

Worst hotel I have ever experienced in any country at any price point. Holiday Inn is significantly better. It s amateur hour at this hotel. Initially put us in a room that was already occupied. Then told us they only had a room with twin beds - not double beds but twin beds. No hand towels in our room. Missing a curtain as well. Every time I went down to discuss the current problem with the front desk I had to wait in line while another guest complained about a different problem. Truly a surreal and horrible experience. Hopefully they will fail and a more competent flag will buy the property. Please go somewhere else for your own good.
