Spend your money,on a holiday inn. Worn carpet, bad bed, restaurant had a sketchy clientele inside drinking.

I attended a Christmas party there today and didn't have the experience I was hoping for. The food was delivered pretty randomly around the room (one or two at one table, then a few at another, then just one at ours, it was very haphazard.) The ham was very good, however the potatoes were very dry and overcooked (all around the table) and the vegetables were limp and just sad. The portions around the table were also not consistent. One plate looked full next to another plate of the same meal that looked lacking.

We did ask for refill on the rolls basket, and we were told there were no more. Not two minutes later we saw 2 other tables behind us get a new basket of rolls. The tea at the table didn't have any ice in it and it was quite an experience getting coffee. We asked our server, but several minutes later when we still didn't get any coffee, someone at the table asked another wait staff who was at the table next to us with a coffee pot in her hand for coffee, her response, with attitude, was "Your waiter will get you your own coffee." She did fill that ONE person's cup and walk away. We finally did get coffee from our waiter, but refills apparently weren't an option.

The employees are great!! The hotel needs some work but the employees of out of their way to make sure a person has a nice stay.

I enjoyed my stay here...friendly courteous staff....rooms were decent for the price. Convenient to get around and liked the shops / bars located in area.

We had to change the card key three times. Due to no a.c. and the card key not working m

Key card didn't work, no one told us you can't put it near your cell phone!

Older place but very nice breakfast buffet want worth it

Old school hotel. Clean and well maintained. Oddly designed but a very nice retreat.

When I checked in I asked the receptionist if I get breakfast. She said it is not included. The next morning, my colleague and I figured out the breakfast is included. Obviously the night shift girl had no idea.
The third day there was an after thunderstorm in Reading area. All power is gone, and the hotel does not have any back up power. No air conditioning, not hot water, guests stayed outside. Power came back after 3 hours. A hotel like this should have back up power generator!
The check-out day. It obviously stated I need to check out by 11 AM. OK, I have something to do early in the morning, so I put a subway sandwich and some yogurt, fruit and juice in the fridge. thinking that I will be back before 10AM to clean up my stuff and check out. Guess what, I went back to my room at 9:50AM. Refrigerator has been cleared, and I saw yogurt and in the trash can and sandwich and juice were gone. There were a cleaning lady outside. I asked her what is going one, and did I have time before 11 AM and why is everything gone? She is very nice and from some where she magically found my sandwich and juice (from other cleaning personnel, I guess). This is really bad. I told the receptionist about this, who is the girl from the chek-in night. Obviously she did not know how to handle this situation and looked panic. So I told her to tell the manager to train their employee. The next day I went back to my office gave feedback to the person who is responsible for the organization's business trip. We will not go to the Inn at Reading again!

Pretty bad experience. a 1/2 hour or more standing in line to check in. The woman behind the counter was rude and yelling at people in line and on the phone. Spent a lot of time on the phone instead of helping the people in line. Told me I'd have a cot sent to my room. An hour later, still no cot. When I went back to the deal, she copped attitude with me about how there were none left and she didn't remember promising me a cot...sorry, bit there aren't any more.

I'm going to assume that this woman was just having a bad day and why she ruined our stay there, I will still give it 3 stars for it's location and cleaniness. But it's old and in deaparate need of updating.

Clean and friendly. The complimentary breakfast is good too.

This establishment was immaculate. Service was amazing and there was very little error on the side of the staff. I will be returning!

Everything dusty, mattress worn out. Had to take coffee pot up front due to crudd in the water compartment. They will never see me again...Boom

Room is very comfortable. Staff is very helpful. Water temperature didn't get very hot in the shower, but was otherwise very pleasant.

Terrible. Booked as a group as we do every year for a large group no one got the same rate as past years no free breakfast as in past years no room service. No hot water. No heat. No refund. Rude receptionist. They lost alot of customers.

Staff was very polite. Restaraunt inside had good food with good pricing.

My stay was short..... 30 minutes short. Its memorial day and they didn't have their pool open even though advertised OPEN. Upon checking I was told they were hoping to have it open the next day only to walk down to the pool and be told it wouldn't be opened for another week. Very disappointing and a horrible experience. I would not recommend staying here. The rooms was smelly and the staff was un accommodating.

I never try to leave bad reviews. Try to remedy situations with the business itself and trust them to do the right thing. However this one just sort of blew my mind the lack of consideration in customer service and in handling people s finances. I stayed at The Inn at Reading for four nights for a work training. I used my card at the beginning of the stay because our company had not yet given the hotel their payment information. Once they had it I was ensured by the hotel that they had credited the stay back to my account. After about a week the money had still not cleared back in my account started the debacle of calling numerous times only to be put on hold for 20 minutes at a time. Leaving messages for a manager who never called me back. After I finally managed to get in touch with a manager she said they would call their processing company to see what the hold up was and call me back. Three days later I still hadn t heard from her and I was back in town working and stopped at the hotel hoping to get this resolved in person. The manager refused to come out of her office and made the receptionist handle it. Turns out they never did call and there was an error in how they credited the account. The poor receptionist had to call the support line while dealing with other customers. At one point the manager HAD to come out of the office to type in a password for the receptionist and WOULD NOT acknowledge me she typed the password in and stormed back to her office.
Seriously in the hospitality industry especially when you are dealing with a situation where you are possibly accidentally withholding hundreds of dollars from someone pick up the darn phone and call them back, at least TRY to remedy the situation and when a customer shows up in person because you failed to follow through after they called you 6 times. don t leave them to the mercy of an employee who is going above and beyond her job duty by dealing with something that you should have taken care of days ago.
Thank god the money wasn t an issue but there have been a few times in my life where a few hundred dollars for two weeks could have meant the difference in putting me behind in my car payment and other responsibilities. The hotel stay was ok. Besides the cleaning staff never emptying the garbage and the toddler screaming in the hall at 3 am. My biggest issue here have a little respect. I know double tree stole half your business so when local companies have people in town and utilize you to take care of them, freaking take care of them. I would probably have gotten better customer service from a pay by the hour joint somewhere. This manager is in the wrong position. And now a major employer in your local area will almost certainly never utilize your business again. Get someone who cares a little and represents your business as a place of hospitality. People are pretty forgiving if you can at least work with them and try. And at the very least apologize and acknowledge that a human being is standing in front of you

There's a $250 cleaning fee for smoking but the room smells so bad a little scent of tobacco would be an improvment.

I was shock to see this In in the condition that was in. The room was cold and the thermometer was not able to turn heat on. There was a rough in the food. No microwave,. There was hair on our towels and washcloths.Poor service.

We were given a room adjacent to entrance of building 2. Every time someone entered the building, our room would vibrate and you could hear banging all night long. Certainly not a place for family who wants a quiet night and want their children to get some rest!
Never going there again. I did talk to manager the next morning and asked why a family with young children was given that room? His answer was that the computer assigns it!
I guess they don t like to use logic!

Wonderful staff!! $10.95 breakfast buffet....WORTH IT!! Clean room. Clean bed/bathroom. Will stay there again!!

Booked a room through a third party, showed up to check in and had no room.

Facility is clean, staff is helpful, easy to navigate. Would recommend.

The inn is located near the highway and is easy to find. The service was good as was the food. The facilities we're clean and up to date.

Somebody had came into my room when i was gone and smoked cigarettes while in there. Called the front desk and they couldn't do anything till Monday. I was nervous who had access to my room!

The room was nice, breakfast was a fiasco but they made it work.

Room is clean and well appointed. Bathroom could use some updating but was clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable. Towels are rather rough. Overall, room is as expected for the price which is moderate.

Went for a work event in the Conrad Weiser room. Very clean, chairs set up evenly apart so you weren't uncomfortable and even temperature so you were comfortable.

This hotel has a large amount of rooms. The hallways are ashtrays as well as the room I stayed in. Solidly 2 star. You get what you pay for.

Budget hotel. Not upscale. Not a bad location but nothing to right home about.

Awesome place to stay. Christmas tree in the front....friendly smiling service and great Cookie's. Anita (short, black lady) was super friendly and made the stay extra special. She was laughing and made a 4 her trip thru PA a great one. She gave me a king size bed, food coupon and one dollar off a beer which is what I needed. I will be returning tto this GREat place.

Dirty, not what I expected from a quality inn location

Just took my wife and mother in law for brunch and it wasn't worth the money. 30 dollars a person and the food was equivalent to the Golden Corral. We won't be doing that again.

It has been great so far. The room is nice, the people are nice too, and the price was fantastic. I haven't run into any problems at all. This place has been better than what I expected to be.

The room smelled like weed, there were random door slams throughout the middle of night, and the whole place seemed dated.

No chairs. Hardwood floors. Sticky. Make sure to have a pair of flip flops. Also look out for cigarettes. I found one in my bed.

Nice hotel! Their cable package didn't have the Cap's game, which says as much about the stupidity of the broadcasting of the NHL Finals as it does the cable package that they've got. That and our non-smoking room smelled decidedly smoked in. Not really a big deal to us, but might be to others. Other than that, our room was very comfortable! All the staff that we encountered was very pleasant and helpful!

The Inn at Reading was great. We were in the Executive Suites. Our room was large, spacious and very comfortable. The room was very clean and everyone was extremely friendly. Would stay here anytime that we are in the area!

The service and food was pretty good, but the room felt pretty tight for the amount of people that attended the event.

Went for Christmas lunch buffet - service was good, food was ok but not great, and the atmosphere was a little outdated.

NO HEAT! NO DESIRE FROM MANAGEMENT TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION! Worst customer service I've ever experienced. They knew the room had no heat but checked me in anyway after 9, room was freezing, called front desk and they said issue with the boiler. Called an hour later, said they'd bring a space heater, called again and finally gave me an inadequate space heater. At 11:30pm, asked for another room but that one didn't have heat either. Decided to leave. Front desk was snarky and unhelpful. Management had an attitude and lots of excuses. Had to demand they get me another hotel room somewhere else and a refund. Totally illegal to check me into a room with no heat with outside temps below freezing but they didn't care and took no initiative to assist me and would've left me stranded in the middle of the night if I hadn't spoken up for myself. Deserves a negative rating if there could be one.

Awesome service! Great location and prices! The food at the hotel is amazing and worth the money. It's been a great experience.

This place is not deserving of 3 Stars. Unless you're willing to lower your standards, don't bother. We couldn't do. We immediately reserved a B&B. And the price they charge for this place is unbelievable.

For the history and reputation. It's not what it used to be

Good hotel. Nice rooms, no issues. Has a bit of a strange layout, but easily understood.

It was a quiet stay, pet friendly, reasonably priced. However, as on my 1st night there I was consumed with work I did not have opportunity to pay attention to details of the room. Upon returning to my room on my 2nd night I noticed it appeared my room had probably not been cleaned properly in I don't know how long. The air vent was completely covered with with filth and dust, it was not even putting air out. The bathroom counter had dried toothpaste both on the counter and in the sink which had been there for some time....I know this bc I was able to clean a spot off. The bathroom mirror and mirror in the bedroom had smudges all over them, the tub was dirty, the fixture for the cold water had an exposed hole, the sofa in my room had dirty stains on both sides of both cushions and the room gave you absolutely zero option to choose between ac or heat and the only way to have cool air in the room was to open the window. I certainly would be thorough about ensuring your room has been cleaned as this seems to be a common problem as upon my check in I heard a guest call in indicating that their bed sheets had not been changed and they were asked if they wanted housekeeping to come or to change rooms...at least by choosing housekeeping to come you can ensure you are getting fresh, clean sheets.

Enjoyed a nice wedding reception here - food was very good and facilities were good for the event.

Pool was closed due to covid 19... this was not advertised on the website..only reason we booked with this hotel...toilet was leaking on the floor... vent in bathroom was falling out of ceiling... pretty sure there was black mold on air conditioner vents

We stayed here a total of two nights. The place isn t awful, but it wouldn t ever be my first choice to stay at. The rooms are large, which is nice, but the rug is very old, (to the point I was skeeved our to walk on it without shoes), and the end table had a giant white spot where someone must have put something hot that burnt it.
There are no do not disturb signs for the door, so house keeping was banging on the door a bit before 9:30 asking if we were gone. Was a bit obnoxious when we only got back to our room at 2:00am.
The water pressure in our room wasn t too great either, although a friend staying here also said her s was fine.
We didn t try the bar that was here so I can t comment on that.
As stated above, decent place, but definitely not a first choice.

First room they gave me was awful smelled like smoke and urine the 2nd room was a little bit better ,but the last time I stayed at this hotel it was anice big clean room ,that's y I came back here ,but I don't think I'll revisiting this hotel again

Charming building, yet a confusing layout. Had an issue with not having enough bath towels for all four of us sharing the room, but otherwise a pleasant experience.

Lisa and Victoria were beyond helpful and courteous

Lovely atmosphere for the holiday party I attended over the weekend. Friendly staff, good food and drinks. Would recommend.

Love it nice and calm environment with a restaurant and bar

The place was very comfortable but the room where the bed on the right side touched me was a double room 122 the number most of the roommates' rooms were 7 rooms for all less than 6 one of the mattresses adds one to the bottom just I had everything around hard I gave it 5 stars why the rest very clean everything

Rooms are clean, service is good and it is within walking distance of a few restaurants. I only wish it offered free breakfast though.
