We recently just celebrated our wedding reception at the Inn at Reading. The food and cake was delicious and they planned and set up everything as I asked! I dropped off all items a few days before and everything was set just as I imagined. The planning was stress free and we all had an amazing time. I would recommend the Inn at Reading.

I have been to The Inn at Reading multiple times for banquets ... From 50 to around 500 person outings. Food and service are always courteous and consistent. I've never had a bad experience at the Inn!

Very, very disappointing. The sign said they are under new management. Well, they aren't doing a good job of it. So many things were wrong. The sound on the TV wouldn't stay at the volume it was set. The shower wasn't working. Maintenance was called in. After trying to fix, he left for a part. 45 minutes and 2 calls to the front desk later, he finally came back and was able to fix the shower. The curtains on the window were not in good shape. It took a lot of effort to close them. The beds aren't very comfortable. Also very squeaky. We stayed here last April and it was a much better experience then. We'll be back in the area several times over the next few months, I don't think we'll be staying here again.

They need better management!! The reservation system had some sort of failure and we were given a room with two full-size beds instead of one king! But at least we had a room, other people who reserved rooms months prior weren't so lucky!

Rooms were clean. The hotel is very dated, there was no carpet in our room just hardwood floors. I could hear everything in the hallway at night (doors openinh and shutting, people talking, housekeepers etc) making it hard to sleep. The hair drier was broken in our room. The restaurant is horribly expensive (i paid less for food and drinks at Maple Grove). The front desk worker seems new or poorly trained, she swore up and down that we did not have a reservation with them and after about the 3rd time of her telling us 'you dont have a reservation with us' she found our name in the system. Probably would not stay again.

I attended a Christmas party at the Inn at Reading and i liked it very much. The room was decorated nicely for Christmas. The food stations ran out of pasta but there were other stations to visit. The food was very good and done well. The servers were mostly friendly. It was a good time.

Freezing!! Dropped our stuff, turned the heat on and ventured off to our show in the city. Got back late to a cold room and figured it was because I didn't set it right. Not the case. It's was low 30s outside and friggin freezing inside also. Read the other reviews. HVAC controls do not work! Bring a sleeping bag or pay extra for a heated or cooled room. Good luck. I will not be back

Over full, several rooms smelled like smoke. Getting 2 stars because they upgraded us to a king suite after someone wasn't paying attention and gave us the only regular room left open because it was under construction. Apparently the head of housekeeping had just quit the day we were there. Won't be returning when visiting family

We had to switch rooms because of the heater being broken, we saw multiple people who where given a room that was already occupied, we had blood on our sheets, and they didn't change it when they came to clean, so we had to ask them to. Was altogether a terrible experience. the reason I give this a 2 is because most of the staff where very good.

I stayed at the Inn over the weekend for a convention and what a disaster! The banquet food was cold when served and horrible tasting! The service was lousy and servers were rude! The Inn needs a good updating and not sure they understand what clean means! The final straw was when we found bed bugs in our beds!!!! There was NO Manager on duty so they called the food service manager to talk to us! He was VERY rude and was absolutely no help in solving the problem. He accused us of bringing the bed bugs in with us! THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN, please do yourself a favor and DON'T STAY THERE and help us pass the word on!!!!!!! UNEXCUSABLE!!!!!!!!! Maybe if they updated and got rid of the old mattresses that are shot and full of bed bugs, that would be a good start!!!!!!!

The hotel is probably one of the worst I have ever stayed at. The halls reek of cigarettes and cannabis, it is a labrynth, I'm 5'3" and my feet hang off the edge of the bed, the window lock does not work, and the hot water barely even lasts. This hotel needs a whole do over.

I would give a zero if I could. The whole place smells awful. The service was absolutely terrible from every single person. The lady at the front desk was rude, completely unhelpful. The room stank to high heaven and when I called for food I was informed they weren't doing delivery. Even though it clearly states dine in room. The man that answered was hateful and I wouldn't want him touching my food anyway. Disgusting place! Disgusting people! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Have stayed here frequently over the years. We had a room reserved for Friday and Sat. Night. Arrived at 2:30, checkin is 3pm. After waiting for 30 minutes due to lack of help at the front desk, we were informed there was a computer glitch and they were overbooked.
Marquita tried to be helpful. The trainee girl just looked confused and the 3rd girl was just plain rude.
I asked to speak to the manager, was told she would be right down, 45 minutes later she came down. She told me she was sorry, but computer problems happen.
How does this happen. We made reservations. Arrived before checkin time and they were already overbooked.
Very disappointing. We have a wedding this weekend. We found a room for Friday night but nothing is available for Saturday so we will have to drive home , 3hrs, after the wedding Saturday night. The Inn at Reading lost a loyal customer due to what they state is a computer glitch.

Rooms in need of refurbishing. Switched rooms 3 times due to something being broken in every room. Best thing about hotel is the restaurant. Excellent food, great service from waitress Janice.

My fiance and I stayed for three nights. The first room we had was loud and had two double beds. They didn't have a problem moving is into a room with a King for the following nights. People in the hallways can be loud but it wasn't too bad.

What a great place, dinner was amazing, the bartender/waiter was very nice. Our room was very inexpensive but I was shocked by what a nice room it was! Definitely happy we went here rather then a big chain. The room was clean and large, bed and pillows we ate usually quite picky because we have very nice ones at home but these were amazingly comfortable. The heater was broken, it was set at 62 when we got there but felt easily 85 so we just turned it off, no need to turn it on the duration of our trip. We could tell someone was smoking in another room. We would absolutely stay here again and highly reccomend it!

Banquet hall rental is a really good price. But you have to pay for food offered by the inn. We booked a rental hall for a birthday party. The servers were very nice and attentive to make sure we were serviced.

I'm a barber and left my good pair of cordless clippers behind in the room..... Called the next day only to be told they weren't there.... Obviously their house keeping has sticky fingers..... Very disappointed because this is my livelihood and the clippers don't have the cord so they are of no use to anyone but myself.........

Terrible customer service. We reserved a room a couple of weeks before a wedding we were attending in the area. I told them at the time of the reservation that we would be driving in about 3 am. I was assured this was fine. We arrived at 3:30am and was told our reservation was cancelled the day prior to accommodate other guests. The Inn was fully booked and we no longer had a room. My family of 4 was 8.5 hours from home and this Inn had zero apologies. We never were contacted to inform us of this cancellation nor did we receive a call from a manager the next day even when we left a message for them. We were told we could stay the other 2 nights of our reservations but I refuse to give my money in support of such a terribly ran business.

It was the first time we ever been 2 the reading Inn for their Christmas buffet. Very well organized some of the food was not to my liking but I'm sure it was for somebody else. Felt a little cramped with the over-abundance of old people. but the convenience of what they had to offer was well worth the price recommend highly will be back next year

A tragedy took place with in my house mates family. It was her younger sister that was taken too soon. Average service. Most wait person's were right on tee. One server however was rude and pushy. After a funeral you would expect better manors and condolences. The bar tender made us Washington Apples. A drink that he totally did not know how to make. Horrible

It took over an hour to check in. I have young kids I needed to heat food and a bottle for my baby. I asked during check in for a microwave, called the front 30 minutes later to remind them we still needed a microwave. Another 30 minutes went by called again and was told ok it was coming. 10 minutes later the phone rings and its the front desk saying housekeeping was about to leave to come to the front and pick it up. Got there , housekeeping was working near by and told us to just bring our food there and use the microwave. Very irritating, completely unorganized, rooms are clean but not worth the the headache

The room is very spacious. Fast WiFi. Love the outdoor courtyard and the pool, though the water was too cold for me. Friendly helpful staff, too. Had my service dog with me and it hasn't been a problem at all.

Experience wasn't that great. Room was decent. Fire alarms went off during the night (3) and no recognition from management during checkout. Also there were 2 ants seen walking around in our room. Where there are 2 there are more!!

Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean, beds were cozy and super comfortable, the small additional charge for the breakfast buffet was a great value with custom-made omelets, 4 fruit juices, french toast, crepes, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, and cereal.

The hotel as a whole seemed decent, but when your experience starts off with two people leaving the bar and shooting up next to your vehicle (with your kids inside), it's hard to impress after that. I had to argue with the lady at the desk to explain that I did in fact book two rooms for one night. I was able to bring up my confirmation email to prove what I had requested. The rooms seemed clean until we looked under the beds and found empty coke bottles and cups... which seemd to be dumped on the comforter. Won't be staying here again, and would tell others to think twice before considering a visit.

We stayed here with a friend last March while she was moving & she ended up having several issues, especially concerning her deposits, so we were hesitant to book here. I also seem to recall her having an issue between booking through Priceline & what was actually available at the hotel. This seems to be an issue on Priceline's end though because management at the hotel bumped me up to an executive suite at no additional charge in order to give me the king bed I reserved through Priceline, but wasn't actually available at the hotel.
As for all of the deposit confusion, the 1st night I booked through Priceline, checked in around 10 pm & was not asked to leave a deposit. The 2nd night, we got in even later & I was asked for a credit card to put a $50 deposit down. It was supposed to be refunded this morning, but it has not yet.
