The room was nice, the bed was comfy and the bar was decent. We didnt get a free breakfast with our room and the food was average at best. I had to take a cold shower 2 nights in a row and the room didnt even come with a microwave. I was told its $10 extra A NIGHT, ridiculous I know. And mid day there was an atrocious smell throughout the entire hotel. Wouldn't stay here again unless I was forced to.

This place was a big disappointment. I took my mother to an event here. I was almost convinced that they Outsource the food from a hospital. They barely had any wait staff for as many people that were there. When we ask for extra sugar at the table we almost thought we were going to be in trouble for that lol. Definitely understaffed. I took my mother to an event where there were special needs people. The bathroom was very hard to get in and out of with a wheelchair. It would be nice if they added a doorstop to the door so it would stay open while you go in and out with a wheelchair. The people at our table and I definitely agree that we felt as though The Inn at Reading did not do a nice job just because they were serving people with special needs and elderly. I bet if you were going to have your wedding party there or some other big corporate event they would have given and going for the extra mile. Instead it was as quick as could be and we were all very disappointed at our table.
Rooms were a little outdated. Did have comfortable beds and nice pillows. Very big room, could have fit 2 air mattresses if necessary. Overall, a decent place to stay for a night.
The air condition didn't work. The floor was filthy and their were bugs in the beds, and the sheets were dirty. They said it was an executive suites but it was more like a cheap hotel that you would find on the side of the road traveling through a desert
0 STARS - I have NEVER written a review so please hear me when say.. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Do not pass go, do not collect your $200.. Do not head to the Inn at Reading. I was in this room for a total time of 2 mins. I should have known when the lights wouldnt come on, that it was trouble. Once the lights came on, the ROACHES came out. Im DONE.
Stayed at the Inn for long weekend. Friendly staff, great restaurant with good food at the Publick House, a hidden gem. Ask for William and Janice to serve, they are friendly and fun! These two are service with a smile and they will entertain you! The only negatives are the outdated rooms, decor and young waitress that hates being at work and vents about her 70 hr work load to the customers. Otherwise its a cute venue for a long weekend, aneat airplane museum, farmers market and cool outlet mall!!
Currently writing my review at 3:43 am because I cannot sleep in this hot room. If there is an air conditioner, there is no obvious way of using it as the controls are outdated and only seem to make the room hotter. What's worse is the door to the room has no soundproofing at all. I've been woken up at 12:35, 1:25, 2:45, and 3:45 by people having quiet casual conversations in the hall as they go to and from their rooms. If you are a light sleeper or enjoy sleep at all go somewhere else.
The hotel is decent but old I felt rushed by the cleaning staff in the morning they came several times before I check out time overall it was a decent but I am sure there are better suited places to stay
Receptionist was very rude and unprofessional. Bathroom door knob broken and there were not enough towels. Unlike other hotels, there was no microwave. Wasn't able to get ice. The ice machine was out of order. You get exactly what you pay for; I guess.
I randomly stumbled across this place while on a road trip at 2 am. I found a deal on a website but because of only needing to sleep for a couple of hours, I had to call and verify it was ok. The lady behind the counter was INCREDIBLE. She was more than accommodating, so sweet, really understanding and let us sleep in a little longer. I wish I remembered her name. The room was clean, the decor was a little outdated but it worked for the inn, and the bed was extremely comfy. Thank you guys for a great experience!! P.S. if you re into the paranormal or haunted places, you might wanna check this inn out ;)
The picture says it all. We were supposed to stay at this hotel for a soccer tournament but some of our team members arrived early, checked in and found bed bugs. The receptionist at the front desk understood why no one from the team wanted to stay there and assured us that our reservation costs would be credited back to us. Unfortunately, this has not happened and we as a team have had to contact the hotel and our credit cards to dispute charges. If you have stayed in this hotel over the last few months, check your own homes. Management has not been friendly or responsive about it. That speaks volumes. Hotels need to be responsive and concerned about its patrons. Bed bugs are expensive pests not only for the hotel but also for the unsuspecting patrons.
Clean rooms, close to Reading, the pub food not very good and the beer was skunky. Service staff very polite and helpful. Would stay again, but eat somewhere else.
Our room was freezing. We had the heat on, however, I was just shaking from being so cold. We just couldn't get out of there fast enough this morning. It was a beautiful room however.
This hotel was experience was terrible. First the toilet wouldn't even flush the first night I got there and the tub kept backing up. A few of my belongings turned up missing management have not been very cooperative they keep giving me the run around. They have down played everything that I have reported to them that occurred and I have yet to be compensated for anything, my stay was almost 2 weeks ago and I'm still dealing with this. I have had to keep calling cause nobody calls you back when they say. I would not recommend anyone to stay here and if you do, lock up all your belongings whether they are valuable or not cause it doesn't matter.
Always clean , efficient, good bedding , nice HVAC . Always stay here on business trips even though there are other hotels nearby . I like the feeling of feeling at home .
Pictures are not reflective of the rooms. I am pretty sure I stepped into the set of a 1970's porno. Creepy big rooms with views of garbage loading area and the world's smallest pillows. Booked two nights but do not even want to stay one. Creepy vibes all around. Priceline you failed me
We went for the breakfast buffet and it was absolutely horrible. Will never go back to eat there again, bacon under cooked, potato tots instead of homefries, cold scrambled eggs bread and rolls stale.
checked in late and tv was broke took one hr. for them to come and fix it. Every 15 minutes there was a metal banging sound probable coming from pipes, could not sleep. Left about 10:00 next day and when we returned about 8:00 pm beds were not made, no towels, no coffee nor cups. Called it took about 1 hour for them to come. Just told them to leave coffee and cleaned towels. Exhausted went to bed still hearing banging noise. At 11:30 pm phone rang they hung up, mad because they woke us up. At 11:45 pm phone rang again, front desk stated "heard there was a problem anything we can do" what tuck me into bed. I was so mad no sleep because of banging. Please do not stay in room 304 it was horable. I would never stay there again.
After we drove for hours to reach this hotel, they told us they were unable to give us the room we booked. We had arranged for a king-size bed but they tried to give us two twins. They would offer no discount and were rude through the entire process. It's probably for the better that we ended up cancelling.
I found the organization to be disorganized, inattentive and unprofessional following a non-profit health fair event hosted at The Inn at Reading in Spring 2015. Afterwards they charged hidden and excessive costs. Our organization will not be returning and is seeking a new venue.
They keep a clean facility and have excellent customer service. While not the cheapest in the area they are definitely worth the charge. I would recommend it!
First time here and this place is huge. Has pool, gym, and resturant. And you also can have a wedding here. They do wedding packages includes dj and photographer and more.
if there was 0 stars I would give them just that date is 12/25/2018 I had been staying at the inn for almost 2 months since first week of Nov. 2018. Now I will give a little backround on what happen here. An arguement had taken place day prior So me and my son had left as I wasnt the party causing the issues i had decided to walk away to let things cool down for the night. I come back today to find out the room in my name was switched to someone elses name my belongings were still in the room and im locked out. First of all check out date was Dec 28 th 2018 room was paid you dont know if i gave the money to someone to use there credit card to pay for me as i wasnt there or not the booking was in my name it should had stayed in my name till ending of the time I didnt know at any point someone whoever can just go and remove someones name off a booking and lock the booking holder out of the room they payed for without the booking holder even checking out. Id advise this 1 might end up in court as your hotel clearly doesnt know if i had 1000s of dollars amoung my belongs that are now under someone elses possession i dont trust as simple as this if i book the room dont matter who payed for it or who it says it payed im responsible for it my name is on there Someone should not just be aloud to change the booking into there name when im not around im not even sure if this 1 is legal i will get with my lawyer very soon to see my options.
What to weigh the room totally ruined how it looks in the photo a lot of paperwork and demand from the client delayed the registration I hope they improve the service
Nice rooms. No microvave though. Our maid was very nice. The pool is great though it is freezing. The breakfast was plain nothing hot.The venue reminds me of old school fancy.
First, in fairness, the good stuff. The room was clean, neat and spacious. The king bed was comfortable.
Next, the many disappointments. Covid seems to bring them out in some places more than others.
Number 1: on a day when it was 71 degrees, the heat was inside the Inn. Evidently, it could not be turned off or controlled, leading to a very poor night s sleep for this boy. The manager/supervisor, whatever, was unapologetic. Told me, through the innocent front desk person, there was nothing to do about it this time of year (Oct. 19th). Number 2: the lock on the entrance to our corridor did not work to keep the door securely closed. I was told it gets stuck, so this was how we fixed it. Number 3: The free WiFi, as offered, never appeared. No explanation at the front desk for that one. Number 4: the TV was a problem, but was fixed.
Covid times and serving the public make for problems, but this place was very disappointing. Even check in seemed like a border crossing in Eastern Europe during the Soviet days. Done from outside through a slit in a window.
Stayed in a two double bed room. Room was cozy and comfortable, and the inn had a pleasant vintage feel. Our room included breakfast, which was a delicious buffet selection. All staff were very friendly and helpful, and added to an already great experience.
Everybody beware! Carefully check all your stuff at checking out. If you leave something in the room chance is are you never see them anymore. We are stay at this place August 1- 2 and my wife forget in the room two expensive swimming suit. As soon we back home I made cal to the hotel. Long story took about three days and dozen of phone calls before hotel manager inform us nothing left in our room when we check out. Ashamed you to steal property your guest .
Meth motel can I give no stars dirty didnt stay 2 nights out of 4 did not bath there CRAZY I was given cleaning supplies to clean holycow hair in bathroom meth heads oding on grass thank God my son was sleep I want a full refund!!!
Very old, but classic. Nice hotel, friendly staff. I need to update my review. They charged me for an extra night and They haven't respond or issue a refund a month later. What A shame:(
Pet friendly rooms, nice large rooms with refrigerators and coffee pots. Breakfast was fantastic and the price was excellent! Beds are super comfortable and no bugs is always a huge plus.
Gave 4 stars as one staff person manning the front desk for everything is not enough. Wait is too long when calling for a reservation.
Our friend from out of state commented on the nice size, good condition and great price of their room.
Highly recommend at least one more front desk staff!!
