Our travel team was forced to reserve the hotel through THS service during a tournament. Once we arrived, several rooms were found to have bugs in them. At least one of the bugs was a mite found in the bed. The front desk clerk verbally told our group representative that families would not be charged for not checking in due to the bug situation. We were forced to find alternate lodging. A few days later, all families were billed for a room we never checked in to. Phone calls to the hotel were sent to voicemail and never returned. Stay at your own risk.

My husband and I attended pre arranged dinner reservations for a group of 22 people from his high school class, as one part of a 60th reunion celebration. Ordering was understood to be from the menu. We had a separate room for dining. There were also other people dining in this restaurant on this busy Friday evening , September 14, 2018. The service was terrible , mostly in part due to being so understaffed. Tables in the group were served at different times ( some finished, before others started eating ), bills were incorrect, dinners were mixed up, waitresses were overwhelmed, and only 2 waitresses for this group. The service was extremely slow. HOWEVER, another BIG issue presented !! The former class president and organizer, had booked reservations about 4 months in advance for a room for 2 overnights ( coming from out of town ) , only to discover that he had NO room for either night for he and his wife !! The Lobby was filled with angry people discovering the same thing....that their rooms had been given away.( Some Drag Race Event Locally ) The manager promised to resolve this while our friend ate dinner, but never returned OR comped their MEAL ! Go to THE Homewood Suites in Wyomissing instead !

Worst stay ever #innatreading

Worst stay ever #innatreading
First was given a very sorry broken down room. AC wasn't on so we went to turn it on. Electrical spark came from meter and blacked out the whole room. When I called they said they were sending house keeping. She want to flip the breaker. I demanded a different room. Get in...AC is broken. Called for a third time and moved to a room that had AC but stains all over. Asked for a refund and was told I needed to wait for the manager. Front desk rude and does nothing. Never again

The inn was decent for the price, room was clean. Although when we called and asked for more towels they never brought any, we saw a housekeeper with towels in the hall and asked her for some and she told us no and to ask another housekeeper. Then to top that off at 9 In the morning the house keeper quietly knocked on our door twice and then immediately barged in without announcing herself, incredibly annoying after a long night at a wedding. Overall the service was very poor, but the inn itself was decent.

The sign says pool May-Sept. With Cabana Bar... Lies!!! Oh and getting any sleep? Bahahaha what a laugh with drunks up and down the halls all night. Want some proof? I got it! Pictures and videos!! Then because I made a phone call about it, the manager/owner or whomever (he never announced himself). Blamed all those happenings on my room!!!! Totally not worth what you will pay.

I made a mistake and booked for a week later than I needed. The staff, especially KB worked with me to obtain a room when I arrived at a very reasonable rate, and I was traveling with dogs! Thank you Inn at Reading staff for working with me after I made such a silly mistake.

My sister and me have asked for 4 days for blankets, sheets, and towels and have been told that house keeping was going to deliver them and nothing even after we been paying daily.and just cause 1 f word slipped out my mouth when i was stating the situation the guy on the front desk told me to leave even after i apologized to him for letting the word slip out my words.and then called the room and told my sister he did not want me in the hotel.what type of business lies to their costumers and then tells them they aren't welcomed after stating the situation. Now he only wants my sister in the hotel room my only sister.i have to say just irresponsible, unreliable, and if i didn't have such homage to Reading Pa the city i was raised since i was a child i would leave.

The room was clean, well-appointed and comfortable. There seems to be little or no soundproofing, so we heard voices, plumbing and traffic noises throughout the night. Otherwise, a pleasant motel and the price was reasonable.

I am writing this at 1:22am crying because it is the 3rd incident of housekeeping trying to enter my room while I sleeping and the front desk people say it's a computer glitch. First time at 12:44am, next time at 5pm, and third at 12:44am the next day even while the DO Not Disturb sign is on my door and after I called the front desk 3 times complaining about it. The front desk people say: "Our system went down and we didn't know which rooms were vacant to clean...The housekeeper is just doing her job. We told her to check certain rooms." Well if you told her, you should have also told her that my room is occupied especially after the 3rd time I called the front desk to tell you I'm occupying the room!!! It feels like the housekeeping lady is harassing me and invading my privacy! And it's the same crazy lady because she always said "I'm sorry. I am so sorry." Does she even know the meaning of those words? If she did she'd ask me when I plan to check out, make a note of it, and then avoid my room till the time I specified. The front desk ppl are robots. You can't reason with them and they took the side of the harassing housekeeper. PPLEASE avoid this hotel!!! Save your money, your privacy, and mental health!!! Lodge somewhere else!!!

We had a terrible experience here at The Inn at Reading the hall ways smaller bad the staff blamed me for our key cards not working, the toilet leaked the mattress fell like it was 12 years old, we asked for a late check out at 11:30am and we had staff barging through the door at 10:00am we spent $96 for the room and it wasn t worth $40 we complained about the smell and other flaws and the staff practically laughed in our faces and did nothing about it. We will not be coming back. P.S. section 7 is known as the dog wing ....

The room was fairly clean for the price up to date the hotel has been there a long time 50 years they said and due to covet they had to close down their banquet hall and food facilities you could tell they were struggling the staff was kind had some small issues like the air condition stopped working but it was October so it was cool but nevertheless for the money couldn't ask for really much more due to the fact that they were a lot cheaper than the surrounding hotels

My family has stayed several times when we come to...

My family has stayed several times when we come to visit family and this place has went down hill over the past couple times staying, broking security doors, broken room doors, stench of marijuana in hallways, trash in entry way of wings. We have giving the inn several chances thanks to the kindness off the staff , Jody the front desk supervisor has always been superb.

I am leaving this review in regards to the so called maintenance manager who told me when I addressed my concern with the broken doors and the fact that it s a continuous thing, I was told it was from a long term guest who is using a hammer to open the door and if I wasn t happy to go somewhere else. Well that happened and will never be back.

Seems to me that the Inn at reading needs to start dealing with the long term crackheads they let stay here, and Incase I m called out on it, I have pictures of the busted doors, trash, etc.

Nice restaurant with wine dinners, Prix fixe and early bird specials, comedy shows, and other themed dinners. Large banquet facilities. Rooms are dated but clean. Front desk receptionist especially helpful.

I stayed at The Inn at Reading for a conference but I was not very pleased. When I arrived at the room the fridge didn't work. The front desk called maintenance who arrived within 20 min. This was fast service. He was very polite. The bathroom had open box of tissues with tissues stuffed back in the top of the box. This is very unsanitary. The toilet handle was loose. The towels were very hard. This is not the type of material you want to rub on your skin. The outlets at room entrance were sunk in away from the faceplate. The cord to iron kept falling out. The breakfast food on day 1 was cold and lukewarm on day 2. They didn't have hot water available for the tea bags that were out. On day 2 they ran out of hot water. It seems that the staff was not adequately monitoring the event for food supplies. The conference room was freezing cold. The air condition was on high. The only good experience was during check-in, the front desk associate, Marquita was so welcoming. We had a line to check-in and handled that line in a professional manner. She took time to answer questions, give directions and still cater to each one of us. She reassured us that even though there was a line she aould treat each of us with the same pleasant mannerisms. There are a lot of small issues but polite staff can overshadow those small things. Please train more staff to be as welcoming. She is the reason for 3 stars. On checkout I didn't receive the same type of encounter. The front desk associate wasn't rude but she wasn't welcoming either. I was a little taken back by the neutral tone. Overall the hotel needs a lot of work and I hope they can make some significant improvements before next year's event.

I have stayed at the inn at reading many times before over the years and must say it often feels more comfortable than my home!! The best parts of staying here are you can bring your dog, which was a life saver when I was in between houses with a new puppy! There's a pool, room service, a in house bar/restaurant with a pool table, breakfast occasionally, a laundry, gym and overall hospitality is warn and inviting!! The beds in the executive suits are to die for!! (I'll have to buy one myself) most comfortable California king beds. and if you forget anything they have razors toothbrushes ECT at the front counter. A night is fairly reasonably priced. And tbh compared to the hotel next door the rooms are cleaner and everything in the room actually works. I've never had any trouble staying here. Although you cannot smoke in most the rooms ( used to bee able to but overall it's mostly non smoking I believe) there are plenty of close exits for convince. It's also right next to a gas station and food ECT plaza. Not to mention the mall is within a mile away. The inn at reading is for sure on my top list of hotels in the area. And one of the only places not only pet friendly but they encourage you not to leave your furry loved ones behind! A win win win for sure!

Overall the hotel is below average. And there was an issue where they took all of our towels, forgot to leave us new ones, and then gave us attitude when we asked for some. Also, at 9am, they started bugging us about checking out. (Checkout time was at 11am.)

The hotel is getting older without being kept up, but it s not terrible. Could use a new paint job. The walls are pretty thin, so sleep didn t really happen on account of loud guests at all hours of the night/morning (literally). The headboard of my bed wasn t attached, so that made noise every time I moved. Overall: Not bad for the price, but wouldn t necessarily recommend.

We were there for Rosh Hashanah services in the banquet room, which was lovely. The room could fit a lot of people. It was very nicely decorated, with large chandeliers. We later ate there as well. Parking was free, but there were probably only 50 spaces on the banquet side, which would be hard if you have a large wedding or event. They did have a large coat room which is really nice.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Made a reservation 2 weeks prior to our stay and called to confirm the day before. When we arrived, we were told they had no rooms available, even after the reservation and confirmation call. Completely unsatisfactory!! Almost a three hour drive back home as everyone else was booked.
