Was a horrible wet day yet we still had a lovely qalk in the scottish country side. A short but challenging route to be enjoyed by adults, kids and pets and the scenery was just beautiful.Lovely well presented shops at reasonable prices and lovely food.

Large selection of foods and other goods with an in-house butcher's shop and a restaurant with a good variety of dishes.

Clothing stores with a large selection of clothing for outdoor activities and a mix of well known brands.

Quite pricy but the quality of the goods is amazing.

For such a supposedly upmarket attraction staff on tills and on the shop floor were slow, unfriendly and unhelpful. The toilets where quite frankly disgusting, dirty and smelly with lots of people commenting on the fact.

We did however have a delicious (overpriced) lunch served by very friendly staff.

Expected better to be honest.

I only had a short visit to this place but to walk around the place is beautiful, not something you'd expect to hear about a small retail park but it really is. Quite a few of the items however are rather expensive.

Wow what a fab store. Well worth a very long browse. It is full of stunning things. We only came out with 2 beautiful dog beds. But could have bought so much more. We were sad we ate else where as the cafe here and food Hall looked so great.

Good cafe and nice surrounding. Clothing is extensive range and choice but quite expensive. Well worth a visit. Mid way between Perth and Inverness so handy stop for a break.

Scottish souvenir shopping in all its glory! A beautiful campus of shops selling anything from traditional sweets to Scottish mountain clothing and books, but rather overwhelming and with steep prices.

A good place to drop in on the A9. There is a wide variety of things on offer from food to clothing. Items are expensive but are aimed more at the luxury/country market. The food in the food hall looks great.

Just got most of my Christmas shopping done in House of Bruar gift hall today. Always enjoy a trip there. Best to avoid the restaurant at peak times though - they need to sort out the through-put as it's a bit of a melee!

A regular and reliable stop on the Edinburgh to Inverness drive.
My girlfriend and I stopped for lunch on our last visit, and had some soup and cake to eat. This is not a cheap stop for food, but this is reflected in the quality and variety. Plenty of hot options for those who want.
There is also a great quality food store on site, and other items available too.
Lots of parking, the nicest public toilets ever, and pleasant staff. The location gets busy, so be prepared.

Free carpark and toilets (cloakrooms located in the indoor shop area). Unfortunately the restaurant did not have much options for vegetarians and the fish is beer battered. There is soup and basic sandwiches. Lovely building though and pleasant staff.

Great place to visit, the food hall has a fantastic selection but rather overpriced.

Saying this, we'll return for a proper look around the other shopping area's soon, likely as part of a day out.

Wide range of clothing, food, gifts and souvenirs available, generally of very high quality. Staff can be helpful, enthusiastic and a pleasure to deal with. Cafe/restaurant good value but can be very busy.

Fun stop for Scottish souvenirs and snacks. A bit stuffy atmosphere and slightly over attentive staff but enjoyed the food sections the very best. Put rice her a lovely picnic from all their goods for a long drive up to Isle of Skye.

A lovely store full of very high quality; clothing, outdoor gear, home goods and food shop. They have a nice restaurant and are also on the path of a great walk around the local area. The prices are rather high however the quality of items on sale more than merits the cost.

Have watched the development of this site since inception. Now regarded by many as the "Harrods" of the north. Not cheap but the choice and variety of goods available is mind-blowing; how about lobster carry-outs!!! The "cafeteria" provides an excellent watering hole on the A9 too.

So en route North on the A9? House of Bruar so worth a stop for so many reasons. Not least the restaurant, food shop, gifts, cashmere, lobster and chips etc!! etc. Can't think of anything tgey gaven't got.

And the luxurious toilets.....with warm wood panelling, beautifully clean marble floors, soaps and hand towels and leather chairs for lounging. Yes...you heard me right...leather chairs for lounging.

Lovely staff and service. Breakfast much of which is made to order.

Worth stopping? Oh yes!!

I dislike the way that House of Bruar refuses to put any stiffening into the collars of its clothes for women. I bought an expensive jacket, and found that without stiffening, the lapels curled and looked sloppy. I contacted the firm, and they got a seamstress to sew the lapels down! I did not think this was a terrific response. I have also bought blouses and find the same unpleasant phenomenon. The tips of the collars curl outwards. In a tailored garment the edges also look twisted. I will not be buying any more blouses or jackets from the House of Bruar. Beware.

It sells meals, souvenirs, clothes, fishing tools, etc. in places like in the parking area in Japan, and it is very fulfilling! There is a waterfall that can walk a bit on the back, it is also a sightseeing spot!

Wasn't impressed honestly... crowded stuffy overpriced for the good stuff and the cheaper priced stuff was poor quality or made in china..which was disappointing. Having said that...the foodmarket had lots of bikkies, toffees fudge jams jellies n sweets that were worth picking up.
