Beautiful shop. It was nice to stop by when we were on the road
Very nice food and the best pit stop for when travelling up/down the A9. Only downside is that it can be quite pricey!
Real class if you like that they call the toilets cloakroom, s confusing isn't it
This is a really nice place to stop. We were on our way to the highlands and stopped on the way there and the way back. Toilet facilities are exceptional, farm shop is lovely and we really enjoyed the sausage rolls and fresh bread. Only downside is that the Cafe is a bit expensive, but it is really nice. Theres loads of shops and even a chippy too.
Just a lovely building with plenty of of other shops inside.
There's something for everyone here. Lots of interesting and great quality food and clothing.
Ghastly place unpleasantly laid out unimaginative displays and seriously rude staff especially in the food hall!
A huge shop! Sad to see so many more cars here than up the road at Blair Castle.
Restaurant staff need a little more training in what's available. Great place for a visit outside of that.
Good stop-service with impressive highland-goods shopping mall
Lovely place but arrived as it was closing so didn't sample all of it
Stopped by for some lunch the other day and just fancied some soup and a sandwich. The only vegetarian sandwiches which were available were egg. Nothing else. Heaven help any one who is vegan...
Excellent spot for shopping lunch or afternoon tea.
Excellent shopping experience with lovely restaurant
Lovely place to stop on A9. Close to road so you don't lose much time. Huge car park with shaded area for dog owners. Play park and dog walk area. Building is very large with a separate sale shop. Good cafe and lovely clean toilets (At least the ladies are). Very, very expensive shop but has some great sales. Lovely place for a stretch on a long drive.
Over priced shopping experience in the middle of the Perthshire countryside. More staff than paying customers, don't know how it manages to survive given the current amazon competition. Visit once and leave with a carrier bag to show you've visited. Harrods in the hills.
Great facilities. Food is really high quality and impressive. Friendly staff. Not the cheapest but definitely worth a stop !
Ladies and gent's, if you are travelling on the A9 ,and you are passing The house of BRUAR, you must pop in ,their clothing and food, gifts, is all top draw quality, the restaurant serve ,a good selection , of meals ,the butcher, as top quality meat, I could go on and on, just pop in judge for yourself,
Great place to break a journey on the A9, lots of quality things to buy but pretty expensive for most things (some simple malt whisky brands are double the supermarket price for the same product) great range and choice though.
A huge selection of Scottish fayre but very expensive and many items can be bought from local shops with at least a 50% saving.
Fabulous selection of clothing, good selection in the sale store, nothing for children
Mixed when at this location, an ideal location and impeccable cleanliness. However, prices are high, especially on clothing. The self service offers a wide range of dishes and drinks. Soups seem to be a must as they are mouth watering!
This rest area is a good option
Expensive but really nice and worth a visit fantastic food hall and food shop
I loved this very large mall.
We had a great time.
It's perfect for bringing back memories of Scotland.
There is a very large delicatessen, very nice clothes (a little expensive but quality), lots of decorations for the house.
It is very fashionable.
We had lunch in the very good restaurant.
Must.
If you like vacation shopping there is a lot to see here - a very strong highland theme!
Excellent! Food selection and quality are fantastic
Very busy . Clean and lovely food . Staff are friendly
Great shopping experience especially for the tourist. Has a lovely restaurant and foodhall as well.
Beautiful location and produce. NOT cheap, but everything seems to be extremely high quality and VERY Scottish.
House of Bruar is located in the Highlands just off the A9 in between the turn off to the Dalwhinnie Distillery and the Pitlochery turn off. House of Bruar is well signposted with a large carpark and is very upmarket. Toilet facilities are first class and if you want lobster and chips for a change, this is where you will get it.
Busy and overpriced shopping. I wouldn't go out of your way to visit but it's an adequate stopping point if you're travelling this way.
Loved The House of Bruar, i had preconceptions of this place thinking it would be outdated etc but I was very wrong. Could spend hours just browsing
Excellent! Each department asked you to sanitise so it felt very safe to mooch thru each bit. Super soup as always. Staff very helpful. Sale Barn is a must! If you have your walking shoes there's a good walk 'falls of bruar' behind the store... you could do 1st before the retail therapy!
Very well laid out premises, well known merchandise and presented very well but a bit pricey.
Food was ok in the reel restaurant but staff could work on their manners and how they speak to customers. Guys in the ice cream shop and chippy were nice tho
This is the top spot on the A9, gravity plays a big part, huge car park, huge restaurant, huge food hall, huge shopping area selling a huge range of goods. So huge crowds visit it. Despite all that there are plenty of staff to deal with it all and generally they cope very well under pressure. I personally look for Scottish food to buy and there is plenty of choice but it is mixed with other suppliers. Adele bought a puffin doorstop so you never know what might take your eye here.
Amazing selection of goods (albeit somewhat overpriced) let down by rude, disinterested staff, and a cold, clinical atmosphere.
Excellent shopping in the Highlands, cafe, ice cream and chocolates
Beautiful location and lovely good in food hall, and in clothing hall
Lovely place to have a walk round. Nice cashmere clothing. Great local produce and garden section. Amazing fish and chips.
Always a nice stop on the way down the A9. Go there for lunch mainly. Great selection of hot meals and snacks at reasonable prices. As for shopping, my wife assures me it's great!
There are beautifully clean toilets there, and if you fancy buying local produce there is plenty of that. The food is nothing special and is eye-watering overpriced
Beautiful shop showcasing Scottish produce and materials to their best
Great place to stop off on the A9, huge range of fresh food and a great gift shop. Love the parking for dog owners too!
Monopolistic and haughty, albeit hugely effective means of parting wannabes from their cash.
Nice stop on the A9 for a coffee. The Bruar's breakfast is delicious, but a wee bit pricey. Lots of shopping too, though it's not really my thing.
Lovely shopping experience in beautiful surroundings
All staff we met were very pleasant and courteous. While shopping help was offered in abundance. Their on line shopping is also very efficient. Been shopping there for several years and intend to continue.
Very good. There you can find delacatessen and a variety of other products. Great for gifts, but remember: you pay in pounds.
I stopped for lunch and went to see the waterfall very beautiful place I would always go back
First class fish and chips a must have from the chip shop best this side of Perth.
Stuck there due to an bad accident on the A9. Need a gold card for most of the stuff. Staff slightly overwhelmed but given the police were directing everyone there for several hours so people were parked everywhere.
