We had a car breakdown on sunday 24th June because of a flat battery. We approached Ally the Head Groundsman who was grass cutting and explained the situation. He took off in his buggy and appeared about 5 minutes later with jump leads which got our car going in about 10 minutes. We were hugely greatful for this assistance which was given in a kind and professional manner. Would just like Ally the Head Groundsman to be recognised for his cooperation and help which saved our day as we were heading south for an important appointment. Thanks again

Service was great. Loos very busy, somewhat understandable so close to the A9. Need to get more or signpost them better. Overall a good experience but for us oldies traveling the A9, Loos are essential.

Top place for a wee on the way up the A9. Great place to people spot too! Some amazing corduroy trowser colours and a stunning walk up the back to a waterfall. The veg soup is a must too.

Nice place to stop but very expensive and mediocre cakes. Fabulous glass roofed eating area. Update from visit on 11 October 2018. Still great place to stop. Glass roofed eating area great. Good coffee but baking ( scones) still disappointing.

A nice place to visit especially around Christmas time. Excellent selection of clothing, gifts, food and drink. Certainly not the cheapest but worth a visit if not for the atmosphere and a good browse. We didn't eat there but had a lovely visit and came away with a nice selection of gifts.

Lovely Store and also the Fish Bar. The only reason Im giving 4 stars is because there are no toilets available after the Store closes at 6pm, where the Bar is open until 9pm. There are tables and chairs outside and fish/seafood choices are excellent.

I love to visit when I can. It has first class food to eat or buy, must buy the black pudding and take home to freeze. Clothes are not cheap but it depends on what you are looking for. Do not pass this place, go visit.

Lovely place for a Sunday day trip with the family , there has been a few changes since our last visit (for the better) such as more car parking space one way system, the sale shop worth visiting it would be a lovely area for picnic tables but I tripped over a keep of the grass sign which I don't think other car owners noticed either. But still a 5 star place to visit.

Food excellent but had to sit in the conservatory as no room inside and we felt uncomfortable trying to eat as there was birds flying between us when eating which is not very hygienic....
Wasted the meal for us

It's a bit over hyped, but it's worth a look. It is at the upper end of clothing prices and it tends towards an older age group. Food is good and a big seating area. Can get very busy. Has covered parking for cars with dogs in.

Avoid the House of Bruar if you are disabled. It only has the one disabled toilet for the whole place - and that's a combined baby changing room anyway. On a Saturday afternoon you can only imagine how busy it can get. Verging on discriminatory to only have one disabled toilet in the whole restaurant/shop.

Overpriced & pretentious. Okay if you're looking to buy tweed, or keen to stand in a long queue for a tepid cup of coffee. There's a tacky 'factory shop' bolted on where they try to sell their unsellable stock. Despite my poor review, the place is always busy (although I don't know how much people buy; it's a handy place on the A9 for a stop for the driver, i guess)

Went to visit the Falls of Bruar today,we thought we could have a lovely walk then go for lunch and a walk round the House of Bruar. We had a lovely walk and seen most of the falls, which is beautiful, unfortunately I started to feel unwell,so we headed back to the centre, we were looking for a toilet, could not see any signs so asked a couple of employees, the reply I got was to join the queue, which was very long and we thought it was for the restaurant, when I said I was feeling unwell and said I didn't think I'd be able to wait in line the young irish girl said that wouldn't be right for you to jump the queue because there might be other people in the line needing the toilet. I did not want to jump any queue but you would think in a place of this size and how busy it is there would be more than one restroom, so I went back to the car park where I found a ladies ,only to find that they are only open mon to fri, why?? I'm sure the weekends are just as busy,if not busier so you would think there would be more facilities x
I'm well aware that things are different due to Covid but surely if you are allowing people entry then they should be able to facilitate their needs , very disappointed ,ruined what was a lovely day out .

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat and a brew, as a break on a long journey, with family including 2 young children who needed food and a toilet break. Despite being here half an hour before closing time, the cafe area was being cleaned up, chairs up on tables. We were assured they were open for another half an hour but were told we couldn't have anything off the menu, just drinks and whatever cold items were left in the fridges that hadn't yet been put away. We found the only table with no chairs already up on the table and settled down for a quick bite. We were cleaned around and made to feel a bit of a nuisance. Considering the upmarket feel of the area, and again the fact that it was advertised as being open, I was extremely disappointed in the way we were treated. Personally I feel if somewhere is stated as being open then large scale clean ups shouldn't be going on when customers are still walking through the door, I appreciate people want to get home after a long shift, but having worked in retail in the past, I Was also taught that opening hours were for the public, and cleaning up, cashing up etc was done outside of the opening hours. Very disappointed. What food was left that we could chose from, in the fridges, was enjoyable but as we felt rushed we couldn't enjoy it. I would not recommend this establishment.
