The most marvelous way to break a journey with such an array of quality country goods - from art and furniture to clothing and food. Do give yourself plenty of time here as there's tons to browse and good food at the cafe too. There's WiFi here too, but not the fastest.

Store is very good, but eating facilities are very expensive and no service at all, you que up to get your food, you que up to pay then you have to find a clean table to sit and eat, by this time your hot food has gone lukewarm and you've paid almost restaurant prices for the privilege. If I go there again I'll eat before I get there or after I've left. DISSATISFIED

The product range was quite niche and limited. Especially for a country store and the security guard seemed to take an unusual interest in my friend browsing the store which ended up in a false accusation of theft and deemed harassment by other customers present.
The restaurant wasn't that bad though, decent food and value for money. Definitely will not be returning again though because of the discriminating security staff

cool

A great day out and loads to see at the House of Bruar. The restaurant is pricey but food is excellent. You can spend a fortune in the House of Bruar but you do get quality for your money. Many departments to suit everyone, even a fishing deparment if that is your hobby. Clothes and gifts galore so be prepared to be there for a few hours. Food hall is excellent. The falls of Bruar walk is adjacent the complex and is worth doing the hike to the top level (if you are fit that is) Its all uphill but the views are worth it.

Always love visiting the house of Bruar to have a nosey at the items for sale...some of which are way outside of my price range!

The new additions of the extra seating area make a welcome addition to a cramped seating area. Reasonable (for this kind of services) prices and generally tasty food.

Have used House of bruar for the first time this week, my order has arrived today and I am very impressed. Beautifully packaged, arrived in the said time scale, and the item is superb, looks, fits and feels fantastic. Very happy, I will definitely be using the House of Bruar again.... probably in the very near future !.

Lovely facilities, luxurious Ladies Cloakroom, huge selection of gifts, goodies, farm shop type stuff to high end, fancy butcher. Didnt explore the clothes but looked stunning. Restaurant looked good too. Only if you are not on a tight budget!!!!

I had been told by many people this was a place I just had to visit. It's not often I am way up on the road to Inverness but I was and I did. To be honest, if you are in the mood to spend a fairly substantial amount of money on some "rugged" name brand outdoor gear, then this is your place. I found it very expensive and with nothing that was of much interest to me, except the Tunnocks display. Worth a visit, but take plenty cash!

High quality items, huge range. Would be a nice spot to take your Mum on a shopping trip. Has a buffet style restaurant and cafe on site as well as everything from homewares to hunting gear.

We visited for the first time today and we were very impressed! We travel to Highlands every year and always wanted to come here. Amazing selection of clothes for gentlemen and ladies, it would be nice to have an area for juniors. Staff was very friendly and helped with our purchases. Queues for restaurant were well organised, plenty of signs about social distancing and availability of sanitisers. Everyone wearing masks. The entitled lot complaining about not "feeling safe" here because of the pandemic should get a grip or not bother to leave the house at all.

Businesses are under so much pressure, they don't need paranoid people criticising them on Google when they're trying to survive while providing a pleasant experience to customers.

I ordered a very nice jacket from them, pricey mind you, but it was worth the money, very nice, high quality, and warm:), and it was made in Scotland!:). I haven't had the food there since I don't live in Scotland or the UK, so I can't say anything about that, but as far as the clothing goes. It's nice!

We popped in for some lunch yesterday. It was very busy as usual, but you have to expect that because it's great! No massive queue, because there is always lots of staff running about looking after people. The staff are efficient and helpful. The food is tiptop and value for money. The complex is varied and interesting. Someone had a great idea when they thought of House if Bruar. Five stars and we will be back.

Really nice place but very busy and quite pricey. My wife and daughter complained about queuing forever for the toilets (could maybe do with some more?) but got some nice gifts that everyone enjoyed.

Had a very nice lunch there and then bought some gifts from the wide range of stock available. It's a very busy place but there's lots of parking so you should get in easily enough. It's just off the A9 so it's an ideal spot to break up your journey for a wander and some refreshments.

High quality clothes, at discounted prices. Very nice selection. There is also a nice restaurant with covered veranda and a shop with fantastic selection of chocolates, fudge, tea and more.
