Great place for food and shopping just off the A9....
Great place for food and shopping just off the A9. The chip shop is awesome!
Great place for food and shopping just off the A9. The chip shop is awesome!
The most marvelous way to break a journey with such an array of quality country goods - from art and furniture to clothing and food. Do give yourself plenty of time here as there's tons to browse and good food at the cafe too. There's WiFi here too, but not the fastest.
Store is very good, but eating facilities are very expensive and no service at all, you que up to get your food, you que up to pay then you have to find a clean table to sit and eat, by this time your hot food has gone lukewarm and you've paid almost restaurant prices for the privilege. If I go there again I'll eat before I get there or after I've left. DISSATISFIED
Clearly a place for locals for Sunday lunch or tourist buses. Restaurant fayre looked fab and the homemade soup was really tasty
Rather crowdy, still very good choice of cashmere and other clothes.
Great pit stop on the A9. Cafe & restaurant, foosball, toilets and all manner of clothes shops etc aimed at the outdoor or country type of folk.
Nice area, store is expensive but it is a tourist place but some fantastic walks
The product range was quite niche and limited. Especially for a country store and the security guard seemed to take an unusual interest in my friend browsing the store which ended up in a false accusation of theft and deemed harassment by other customers present.
The restaurant wasn't that bad though, decent food and value for money. Definitely will not be returning again though because of the discriminating security staff
Just love shopping here and then having lunch ...great place
So much to see so little money. Great place for high value goods. Lots to see and eat.
Lots of variety!
Attentive staff!
Staff in coffee shop could at least smile . Not my cup of tea with having ignorant staff serving you .
Tasty food . Good shopping place lots of stuff. Big car park which is a plus.
Lovely place to stop on way up north. Super cup of tea. Well worth a visit to the shop as they have a variety of wonderful and interesting gifts at a reasonable price.
Beautiful products and gorgeous food. Will definitely return
Really nice place to stop and shop on your way up to the highlands. Foodhall is nice and has a great fish and chip shop
Only went round the good hall but it's a top quality food hall. Worth a visit but pricey as you would expect.
Longest queues for bathroom and in restaurant on a weekend. Might be better during the week.
Something here for everyone. Fabulous food hall & gifts. Lovely curteous staff
A great day out and loads to see at the House of Bruar. The restaurant is pricey but food is excellent. You can spend a fortune in the House of Bruar but you do get quality for your money. Many departments to suit everyone, even a fishing deparment if that is your hobby. Clothes and gifts galore so be prepared to be there for a few hours. Food hall is excellent. The falls of Bruar walk is adjacent the complex and is worth doing the hike to the top level (if you are fit that is) Its all uphill but the views are worth it.
Always love visiting the house of Bruar to have a nosey at the items for sale...some of which are way outside of my price range!
The new additions of the extra seating area make a welcome addition to a cramped seating area. Reasonable (for this kind of services) prices and generally tasty food.
Have used House of bruar for the first time this week, my order has arrived today and I am very impressed. Beautifully packaged, arrived in the said time scale, and the item is superb, looks, fits and feels fantastic. Very happy, I will definitely be using the House of Bruar again.... probably in the very near future !.
Always stop for food when driving on A9 excellent fresh food and great choice always busy and very clean
Amazing place with so much to browse. Well worth a visit.
Lovely facilities, luxurious Ladies Cloakroom, huge selection of gifts, goodies, farm shop type stuff to high end, fancy butcher. Didnt explore the clothes but looked stunning. Restaurant looked good too. Only if you are not on a tight budget!!!!
Excellent. Just eaten the sausage with veg and roast potatoes and it was amazing. Lovely place but very busy.
Wow, I wasn t expecting this! Harrods of the north!
Lovely place to visit, wonderful locally made items and sourced produce. Sadly most things were quite expensive
Top tip: don t buy a takeaway coffee as you won t be allowed around the rest of the House of Bruar departments!!
A great posh stop on the journey to/from inverness
Good food and service. 1 Toilet for disabled shared with baby changing need more.
I had been told by many people this was a place I just had to visit. It's not often I am way up on the road to Inverness but I was and I did. To be honest, if you are in the mood to spend a fairly substantial amount of money on some "rugged" name brand outdoor gear, then this is your place. I found it very expensive and with nothing that was of much interest to me, except the Tunnocks display. Worth a visit, but take plenty cash!
Nice shop, friendly staff, shame about the high prices!
High quality items, huge range. Would be a nice spot to take your Mum on a shopping trip. Has a buffet style restaurant and cafe on site as well as everything from homewares to hunting gear.
It's a bit bitty for department and they don't do takeaway sandwiches
A wonderful way to spend a family day out. A great shopping experience, nice
indoor and outdoor eateries and friendly staff.
We visited for the first time today and we were very impressed! We travel to Highlands every year and always wanted to come here. Amazing selection of clothes for gentlemen and ladies, it would be nice to have an area for juniors. Staff was very friendly and helped with our purchases. Queues for restaurant were well organised, plenty of signs about social distancing and availability of sanitisers. Everyone wearing masks. The entitled lot complaining about not "feeling safe" here because of the pandemic should get a grip or not bother to leave the house at all.
Businesses are under so much pressure, they don't need paranoid people criticising them on Google when they're trying to survive while providing a pleasant experience to customers.
Great shopping experience all items are top quality
I ordered a very nice jacket from them, pricey mind you, but it was worth the money, very nice, high quality, and warm:), and it was made in Scotland!:). I haven't had the food there since I don't live in Scotland or the UK, so I can't say anything about that, but as far as the clothing goes. It's nice!
Nice place and pretty in autumn and winter, the pictures I included were from the Cairngorms, close to the house.
Good selection of clothing. Good food if a bit pricy. Plenty of parking even for caravans.
Wonderful variety of shopping and eating - not cheap but catering for quality goods.
We popped in for some lunch yesterday. It was very busy as usual, but you have to expect that because it's great! No massive queue, because there is always lots of staff running about looking after people. The staff are efficient and helpful. The food is tiptop and value for money. The complex is varied and interesting. Someone had a great idea when they thought of House if Bruar. Five stars and we will be back.
Bought my son one of your washable lambswool scarves by post and he loves it. Just the thing : )
Great place to visit when you need a rest but limited opening hours
Superb venue for shopping and eating. A first class facility in the middle of beautiful highland Perthshire. Fantastic Christmas lights and displays. Wonderful atmosphere.
Visited the fish and chip shop and was amazed by the quality, service and portions served well worth it.
Nice place expensive but quality goods bruar falls great
Really nice place but very busy and quite pricey. My wife and daughter complained about queuing forever for the toilets (could maybe do with some more?) but got some nice gifts that everyone enjoyed.
The cake was awesome. anywhere with good cake is 5*
I heard that this place was good and it absolutely exceeded all expectations! A fabulous place to stop en route to Glasgow. Allow for extra time!
Had a very nice lunch there and then bought some gifts from the wide range of stock available. It's a very busy place but there's lots of parking so you should get in easily enough. It's just off the A9 so it's an ideal spot to break up your journey for a wander and some refreshments.
Always visit when we visit The Highlands. Never disappointed, food always good, great shopping experience for everyone. A great selection for everyone.
The best stop on the A9 between Perth and Inverness good carvery for lunch
High quality clothes, at discounted prices. Very nice selection. There is also a nice restaurant with covered veranda and a shop with fantastic selection of chocolates, fudge, tea and more.
Fantastic place, where else can you buy lobster and chips
Great place to shop, walk and dine. A good day out with something for everyone.
Fab place for fashion, furnishing & food. The Harrods of the north.
Fab shopping experience Something for everyone including sofas for bored people!
Love, love this place. A great stop off on the A9. Food excellent, shopping excellent & staff are so friendly.
Excellent shopping experience, lots of bargains to be had in every department.
If you intend to have coffee or use restaurant advisable to book a table. We were there at 11am no tables available.
