Fantastic place to shop. Its for locals too remember, and there are lots of them! You must also remember that in remote spots it costs more to get goods delivered there. The quality is excellent and the wide choice is a pleasure to browse and try/buy. The staff are superb. Give me House of Bruar over Harrods any day - great location, stress-free and your custom is valued.

Not really for me. Lots of touristy stuff, specialist foodstuffs, homeware, wool, cashmere and silk screen at spectacular prices. Restaurant very busy and a bit pricey, but portions quite generous.

Huge place with everything from clothes to fresh meat & fish, with a big range of everything and all high quality and add local as it comes. Understandably the prices are higher though.
Restaurant is very expensive but the fish and chips near the entrance are reasonable prices, taste good and cooked fresh to order (and they do pies or lobster too).
Situated just off the A9 so makes a convenient place to stop on a long journey

Main restaurant.... a fantastic choice but very expensive.
Many items sold in the range of shops were geared towards tourists with accordingly inflated prices.

Was exceptionally busy and found difficulty finding parking space especially disabled one, not enough for size of the place, also restroom facilities totally inadequate. It's a shame cos we normally enjoy visiting on our way to timeshare and on way back but Will consider giving it a miss in future.

Stunningly unique and yet quintessentially Scottish shopping experience. Top quality produce and clothing. More marmalade than you've ever seen in your puff. And the ultimate rest stop for travellers

Perfect rest stop on the A9 for good quality food, high end clothing and stuff you don't need but might like. Prices reasonable and above in the main halls and restaurant. Outlet hall cheaper. Out of season sales often have bargains

Fish and chip shop on site fab and great location especially the gorge walk behind the site. Otherwise it's full of overpriced goods trying to rip of tourists.

Not to mention the owners terrible behaviour towards staff during Scotland 2014 independence referendum.

I respect the business providing jobs to people in the area. Can't forgive owners for being NAW BAGS! And threatening staff! You decide if you want to give them your business....

SAOR ALBA!

Extremely upper class services, if you drive a Bentley then this is the place for you. Clean, tidy, well set up and a pleasant place to stop, maybe buy some lobster and champagne before continuing on your journey. I bought a few nice gifts here before carrying on my journey.

Ordered a jacket paid fo it got order and delivery confirmation,no jacket arrived called to find out what was going on. Turns out that the jacket wasn t in stock, no notification or apology customer services couldn t be less helpful. Called them again on Monday customer service was much improved but told me they had found a jacket and it was being processed again no communication from HoB pretty poor really customer communication needs much improvement

In general I do enjoy visiting the shop.

In general I do enjoy visiting the shop.
I use the butchery department as they did sell wonderful meats. I was particularly fond of the bacon, so much so I had it delivered.
The last batch of bacon, was far lower quality than the last 2 years, in fact, discount supermarkets is better.
Despite sending the order back at my expense. Then having a replacement sent, which was still no better in quality or taste, I'll refrain from purchasing anymore.
House of Bruar once cared about the customer and service they offered to the customers, but unfortunately it's slipped. Such a shame.

been there today after 2 years... I promised my wife to get some whiskey cheese 2 years ago and was happy to be there again to fulfill my promise.I was doing video chat with my wife and talking over the cheese then as i kept on walking butchers department- i think they were 3 -started shouting at me saying that i cant video their style and was quite rude to me. I shouted back to all three saying that im on video chat with my wife and they had no right to shout at me. i demanded to speak to the manager but she wasnt around. Looked around for a while to let her staff's rude behaviour but couldnt find her and i just left the shop. Such a great place many of staff are lovely but Butchers department was rude .What a hassle!

Amazing selection of shops. Great place to stop for a rest break. The chip shop at the front looks good. We had a selection of cakes in the restaurant which were lovely. Not a cheap place to stop but everything seems very good quality. Could spend a whole day browsing here!

A beautiful place to stop and take in the sights of the waterfall. House of bruar has every thing from drink and food to clothing and fishing tackle. It is definitely worth taking the time out visit and view all the authentic and traditional Scottish food and clothing and take in the sights at the waterfall. Visit every time we travel down that road.
