Worst possible food served cold,no choices, ,nurse and cnas are way overworked tried to deal with administrator over thefts but totally ignored.pt excellent espically Sheila.finance office took debit card never returned and was emptied and once again administrator Aaron ignored and put blame on me,all my cash has been stolen.i stay here because I am totally disabled and alone in this world and trying to fight red tape is disheartning I have pretty much given up.
At first, everything seemed great (except parking which is HORRIBLE!) Mom was in the facility about 2 weeks and ended up with a Stage 2 bedsore! She was in pain and they seemed to ignore her thinking it was her back or hip hurting her. All they did was give her a companion at her side 24/7 however this person was not a C&N. Not happy!!
Brittany at the front desk is very knowledgeable about the things going on in the establishment. We appreciate our nurses who help take care of our loved one. You are all in our hearts and prayers, so thank very much!
I love how welcoming the place is, Thanks Brenden for providing me with my welcome bag, its nice to have a friendly face and smile come around.
There are some staff that are really great and some that dont give a rip. I just walked in to find my diabetic mom eating grapes, cantaloupe, watermelon, a cup of juice and a 4oz cup of mac salad for lunch. This is after we requested a diabetic diet for her.
The staff is very very nice the lady at the front desk is the best her name is Elizabeth thanks for good work and God bless
No one greets you and lets you know what's going on. you have to hunt them down to get any information. Very rude and uncaring. I wish I had other choices. But Humana insurance won't cover the cost. I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with this place. I went to see her and found her laying in her own feces she called a nurse 3 hours prior. They did nothing until I showed up. Please keep an eye on your loved one if they are sent here.
Very impressive facility, Very clean, Verygood. Food I would highly recommend this facility to anyone based on personal experience.
It was so nice to visit mom indoors. Especially nice to have the microphone and amplifier so that she could hear us.
Appreciate the staff for getting us in efficiently. Thank you!
It looks like the rehab has changed since I was there for 23 days two years ago. The staff was wonderful, the food was outstanding, the cafe was fun, I had two baths/shampoo each week, PT was very helpful and I really liked being there. I visited a few weeks ago to see a friend and she complained. It looked clean to me but I wasn't staying as a patient. This is sad because the place was wonderful when I was there and did wonders for my recovery.
Always takes the time to ensure that i am okay even when busy.
ZERO STARS. This place is full of negligence, don't send your family members here unless you want them dead with NO ANSWERS. If you ask about your families medical issues they hang up in your face. They leave people to die with no help in here. Keep your loved ones away from this MURDER DEN unless you want them dead!!
I was in isolation for a week and I found the care excellent. My every need was attended to with loving care. My only complaint was the food, but after speaking to the nursing supervisor and the dietitian the quality of my food improved. After I was released from isolation I ate in the dinning room. Food was really good and but it seemed like they could have used more staff.
Unfortunately it won't let you rate this place below one star. This place is a complete disgrace. They're understaffed and could care less how the patients feel. The supervisors, if you want to call them that now less than I do about patient care. They just sit back and watch the insurance money roll in. Avoid taking your loved ones here.
Horrible! They didn't even give my grand mother her baths!
I worked here during the covid 19. I recommend everyone that has one of their family members in this place to get them out. The laundry isn't done right. they lose the personal clothing. The housekeepers do not clean the right way. the nurses are horrible to the patients. I would never step foot in this place again. the reason I left was because the housekeeping boss was so disrespectful.
Just checked MIL into rehab a couple of days ago. The whole staff has been great. Keep up the good work.
As noted by others, if you love your loved ones, please do not bring them to The Heights of Summerlin. You have been warned...
I stayed here with my 88 year old mom because I don't trust the health system of Las Vegas, NV (just moved here from San Diego, CA). I was mainly here 24/7 watching every move the employees made. They provided a mattress to put on the floor so I can stay with my mom.
My mom stayed about two weeks back in February of 2015 and I finally got around to write this review. I took my mom out of this place against medical advice (aka AMA) because I couldn't stand all the mistakes and neglect that were being made. And I wrote a three page list of my concerns and medical errors that were made and provided it to administration per their request but I doubt that was placed in a file.
I don't think that list was filed away because a week after we left Heights of Summerlin we received a big stack of admission forms to sign from the facility, meaning my mom was never admitted during her two week stay because no admission forms were given to me to sign upon her admission.
The mistakes that was of real concern to me was medication errors... i.e. wrong dose, time. When I asked for pain medication, it was not given after an hour it was requested. First, the nursing assistant noticed my mom was in pain and told me that she would tell the nurse to get my mom's pain medication, 30 minutes later no pain med. I went out to tell the nurse and she said no one had told her about the pain med. Then she proceeded to tell me that she needed to pass out other patient's med first before giving out my mom's pain med...what?! - If anyone is in the medical field that answer is a big no no. No one should experience pain for that long, 15 minutes is a reasonable time to wait for pain meds.
Also, the first day my mom arrived at this center, I was told my mom's medication would not be available right away because the pharmacy was not available until the following day because they were switching to a new company. So I asked the LPN what happens if my mom needs certain medications that same day, he said he would BORROW from other patients! REALLY!!! He should have his license taken away and not practice ever!
Anyways, I can go on forever with this review... my main concern is nurses and LPNs do not read orders well when it comes to passing out medication and because they don't, they have the potential to kill a patient.
I would give this place ZERO STARS if it allowed me.
Dont send your loved one here unless you want them to die from lack of care. I read the reviews before my husband was sent there and they were horrid and 10 times worse than what i readthats were our insurance humana said he had to go. Never answer call buttons my husband fell out of his bed who knows how long ge laid on the floor in the middle of the night. Now in icu at the hospital dehydrated and malnouished.
Filthy place reaks of urine old beds no alarms on the beds. Old torn sheets and bkankets. I would not feed the food to a dog although cnas were sweet RN all two of them had attitdes and showed lack of respect to everyone
Run as fast as you can from this place also half of my husbands belongings were taken when he was sent to the hospital.
Facility is clean and beautiful. Staff is friendly and helpful!
I had a nice time visiting my husband today and I appreciate the staffs help
One of the worst places i have ever seen, if you really love your close ones keep them away from here, the staff is just horrible and irresponsible
I don't know where the negatives are coming from, but I have been on the phone concerning my father's care several times a day and all the staff has been a pleasure to talk to. I live in TN and can't be with him right now, but the staff has complied with every request I've made. So I'm going to give them a four. I'm just not getting the poor service others are describing.
This place is not that bad but, it need to improve with resident care. They are under new ownership we will see how it goes.
The day shift are the best, but night shift are the worsts, you do not get your pain pill until they want too. I was on the first floor.
Love this place! They ve taken great care of my mom and it a cozy atmosphere
I wish I would have read reviews before having my mother come in Friday. My mother had knee surgery. From the first night when i came to the room it was dirty and she was in a hoscipe bed. The CNA were hard to find and they took literally 1 to 2 hours both Friday and all day Saturdays. They had her in tears waiting on pain medication for 9 hours. If you care about your family take them some where else.
It was very unfriendly, the floors were always dirty and sticky. My father is elderly and one of the admin and a nurse spoke like they were talking to a child asking him if he understood english. That sure was racial motivated for them to even assume that he only spoke spanish cuz of his name. He has been in several Rehabs and this has been the worst and so unprofessional and lazy night crew. He went a long time without his pain meds. The list goes on beware is all I can say. I had to give them a star they didn't even deserve that
Over worked staff results in poor quality of services for the residents a 31/1 ratio should validate the
main focus of this facility. We are here for large profits with disregard to caring and compassionate services. You will not find this place to fulfill the wishes your dying family member deserves. Let alone
provide long term care or hospice services. Best of luck with finding parking and the entry is impressive, but go up to top level (3rd floor) and discover the true identity of this place.
Excellent, professional help, caring nurses and CNA's,
Very pleased with this facility.
My mom is there and we want her out as soon as possible. horrible place. She was there almost 2 weeks and they never gave her a bath or washed her hair. Communication is horrible. Never calls anyone back when they tell them to call. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE place.
My cousin loves pudding and needs to eat it all through the day.i brought lots of it because they don't give it to him there.staff was rude and said they couldnt keep it in the fridge for him.then they said yes,so i brought lots of it and then a bitchy person told him they were going to throw it out.the place my aunt is in here in vegas has a place to put stuff i bring and they are nice.why here, they give him crap?
The heights is the worse rehabilitation in the city of summerlin. If you want your family members to have bedsores and lay in their own urine and feces for hours. My mother's health declined and did not improve an.
I have never in my life written a review! This place is horrible my mother had to come here after a hospital visit to their rehab...it is dirty in the rooms the staff is invisible...when you call the receptionists give you the run around and are rude especially Danny! Today on her release is the first time I met a nurse her name is Marcia and she was the only nice person yet who seemed to care about my mother ...her patient.I pray no one ever has to have this experience again when their loved one is so ill... Its wrong
My grandfather was supposed to be being cared for at this facitlity. He ended up in ICU on life support because they weren't making sure he was eating, he was severely dehydrated, his blood sugar was over 1200, his kidneys were shutting down and the hospital he was transferred to found a bed sore on his back as well. He almost died from the lack of care, they should be shut down!!
I want to say my Grandmother was a paitent at the hights a couple weeks ago for rehab for get hip and I want to say they did a awesome job with her. I want to say the director of rehab his name is Jason is the best. The staff was great and would refer anyone who needs these kinds of services. The admissions girls were great and helpful getting the care she needed. She was on the 2nd floor station 2 her nurse Mandi was great they treated her like a person not a patient.
I have no complaints. My physical therapy went faster than expected.
I have been a patient here on the first floor and have been getting much better over time thanks to the physical therapy.
Heights of Summerlin has bruised my mom s right arm, sprained her ankle in 2 days. I started process to move her at 12 pm and Vicki & Bridgette purposely postponed the move. Now they are gone for the day. All they had to do was fax an assessment to the new facility. Heights is milking insurance companies. Heidi also blocked my mom s move. Mom is weak from a fall and the attending doctor refuses to give an order for staff to assist my mom in eating. Don t send your family here it s hell on Earth.
Now they are adding negative comments about me getting upset with Height of Summerlin about them injuring my mom. Sending this in clinical reports to other facilities so Heights can keep abusing my mother & milking her insurance company. Marilyn S. Walks out back smoking all day. Heidi lies right to you face. I will I could post pics here of the injuries!
My aunt is staying here. It seems nearly impossible to get through to a nurse or anyone concerning her care. When someone does answer the phone, I'm constantly being told to call back later because the nurse is busy doing something. When I leave my number with an important message to call me, I often don't receive a return phone call. My aunt says she's receiving good care there, aside from being in excruciating pain. So perhaps its just concerned family members who receive such horrid assistance.
My mom is there right now and she says it's horrible. She says it takes forever for someone to help her, the staff is rude, the food is horrible, and shes stuck with a crazy roommate that wont let her watch the TV. I would not recommend this place.
My 90 year old Mother here for three weeks, Supervisor Stacy, Nurse Sunshine, Baby Chaly, Tammy were all incredible and very attentive to her. Very appreciative to these ladies, and so very thankful for they're hard work, because I know they were short staffed. Highly recommend!
This Facility is under siege by current administrators scrambling to save their jobs at the current moment. as of 08/13/2014, the heights has been ordered to stop admissions of new patients. this is due to extreme failure to pass state investigations against the heights of summerlin. I am an employee of this facility and am ashamed to admit that although the majority of nurses are great caregivers at this facility, we are operating in extreme fear of retaliation by administrators for speaking up against misconduct, and negligence, by certain employees, as it has been witnessed, the consequences of such action. several great nurses have been fired recently for filing complaints with our Director Of Nursing in regard to negligent behaviors of certain employees in which directly affected those patients health. Unfortunately also, most of these reviews are true to the best of my inside knowledge and unless there is an immediate change in administration these conditions are only going to worsen. there are heavy cover ups and falcifications occurring at the moment and I would suggest to anyone with current family members within this facility to begin searching for a new facility or alternative care as it is my opinion that better conditions are far from near until management and corporate ( whom are extremely impossible to get ahold of)make the necessary changes within the immediate facilities administrators. bany and all questions please feel free to contact me. I have an extreme amount of valuable information in regards to this facility and its standards of care.
Good morning. My visit yesterday at the Heights of Summerlin was a 10. The Front Desk Receptionist was cordial, considerate, and very kind. My visit with my love one went very well. We was outside, enjoying the warm weather, & the Chaperone was very kind and pleasant.
I do not recommend this place. In the morning before I got it my aunt rang the buzzer for someone to take her to the bathroom she waited almost an hour then got out of bed by herself to go to the bathroom. She got back in bed herself. She s here for help they aren t helpful. This is no way for our loved ones to be treated. They are getting paid and not giving the patients the care they deserve and need. When I got there she told me and still no one ever showed up. The funny thing her room is directly across from the desk. It s also very noisy at night and it s hard to sleep. I sat with my aunt for the last 3 days for 8-10 hours. 4 hours passed and no one checked on her. She is suppose to get a Nassau medicine an hour before meal never happen. They must be understaffed it s impossibe to get help or information. They never showed up on Saturday to bathe her. As of now a man came in to take her to therapy and left to find a wheel chair it s about 1hour and 15 min. And he hasn t come back. Try to get information on lunch and the girl at the desk said I don t know about the meals. We ll come on get Simone that does so I can get my aunt fed. I called to speak to the weekend supervisor and to my surprise it s over an out and no call and my aunts still waiting for therapy. If I can make it happen she will be out of there this week. Very disappointed. I do not recommend very disorganized place.
Thank you so much for your reviews. I was about to send my husband there because it looked so beautiful; looks definitely are deceiving!,!
Place is nice, very clean, and the staff is helpful!
If I could give no stars I would. This place is a damn joke. I have never dealt with the rudeness unprofessionalism in my life. The only people there worth a damn is the nursing staff. Gotta love people who are only in the business for money not to actually care for the patient. It's pretty bad when they will release someone knowing that they will not be in a safe environment but yet the insurance company won't kick in to pay for much of anything and I should have take my mom out of this place 2 weeks ago when her first roommate left because she wasn't getting the physical therapy that she needed my mother ended up in worse condition than when she was first taken there.
I visited my husband at Summerland in Nv, I live in Az. I was impressed by the staff. they were very helpful and nice and allowed us to visit him, the facility was very clean, I felt very comfortable and relaxed there. I felt relieved once I saw him the staff and the facility, it was truly like a burden was taken off of my shoulder with the care that he's receiving. Thank you so much, I can go back to Phoenix with ease knowing hes being well cared for
I was there for a few weeks and the staff really does treat you as if you are family. I greatly appreciated the help.
We are happy to see Hiedi coming back. She made a huge difference with the team assisting mom there. Looking forward to many more with the team to make her happy living there.
I always had trouble getting a compete med list for my wife or getting to talking to a supervisor if united health care was not paying for it I would not send her there
THOS- Very clean, staff friendly. I have seen/heard 2 and 3 star places. True that mostly CNAs and short on RN's but most of the reviews are patients themselves that don't want to be here. Mom here temporarily, we want to see her be independent. We don't want her reIying on staff but everything is new to her. She dont like her low sodium diet, her room faces the sun, its bright, its hot in morning (AC works tho). She just wants to be home where she's comfortable. I was afraid to see this place based on reviews but I was relieved after seeing it and dealing with staff....it could have been a lot worse. The building was clean and well kept.
Wrote a review 3 months ago, VERY bad review and I notice it is not posted, I wonder why.
Everyone is so kind and the place is clean, thanks Brenden for all of your dedication to help.
I would first like to point out how amazing the staff is here at Heights of Summerlin, Las Vegas, Nevada. Every time I visit here, I am warmly greeted with a smile by an associate by the name of Brenden Miller, and many other Height s employees. It almost feels as if I am back home, in the south, every time I arrive, due to the southern hospitality I receive. Not only are the staff friendly, but they take excellent care of my grandmother. If I could give them more stars I would.
It's clean and Mom said the staff is very friendly.
This place is a joke! Someone's making $$$ deal.
HELP!
Horrible place as far as courtesy to patients family. Receptionist couldn't be more rude , unit clerk lies and refused to let me speak with my mom's nurse.
Such a great place, truly. To start, I am always greeted by the smiling face of the young lady at the front desk, Elizabeth. She is extremely helpful and courteous each and every time I am in the building. Along with Elizabeth's warm greeting, guests are greeted with a beautiful display aquarium and a grand piano, elegance fitting enough for a 5 star experience. The staff is warm, wonderful and dedicated to providing residents with the best in care. I would recommend this skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility to anyone searching for temporary and long-term care or placement.
Mother in law lost ability to walk while in this place. Was supposed to be a rehabilitation place but never did any work on her legs. Food looks like what my dog eats. Building rundown maybe from late 90's.... But the fish tank when you come in looks nice. Now was left on her bed pan about 4 hours.
Thanks to the Awesome ERU East Team- Haeli , Charlie and Stacy for the wonderful care you gave to mom during her rehab recovery this summer. She s back on her feet again and enjoying life!!!
I was visiting my loved one this morning. The building looked great! I was immediately greeted by the receptionist Elizabeth who made me feel at ease. She answered my a million questions effortlessly. Thank you guys for taking care of my uncle!!
My aunt had no complaint while staying here after her surgery recovery. They treated her very well and was very patient with her. Thank you
I think summerlin heights is a fabulous place to to be in...from a retired teacher
This is the worst place ever!! The care is well below par! The Nurses are MIA and the place has mostly CNA's and they are short handed. No one can ever tell you anything! Uh....it's called a chart! They apparently haven't grasped that concept. My Grandmother has been there for over 9 days now, hasn't eaten, yet no one has ordered an IV for food & fluids! Really!?! You have to advocate for your loved one. If you are not asking & pushing they may as well be laying on the side of the road. I'm sure a stranger would have more compassion! I beg you not to take your loved one there! If you have no choice, make sure someone is there daily checking on them whenever possible!! I could go on and on, trust me, don't do it!! I will say, my Aunt did say that the physical therapist was great but they only do that for 45 minutes/day, what about the other 23 hours someone needs to care for your person!
DISGUSTING PLACE....STAFF IS WORSE... DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY FAR FAR AWAY.... COMING FROM A DRIVER WHO TAKES PATIENTS TO THIS PLACE OF HORRORS.....
PT Staff- *****Aaron/Tawny
CNAs-*****Joe/Crystal/Brian/Derek
Social Worker-*****Heidi
Valet-*****Excellent
RN-under staffed, ratio of patients to RN overwhelming, many on double shifts, quality of care poor, communication poor, bedside manner
poor.
Majority are more concerned about their workload, long work hours, excuses and the blame game.
2 RNs stand out, mediocre interaction at best
CNA-same ratio and conditions as RNs, tried their best to assist and accommodate RN and patients, more consistent interaction w/patients, courteous
Some Genesis is their second job
Dietary-VERY VERY POOR!
It was mentioned that their dietary budget dictated their nutritional value
All Transportation-mostly outsourced, NEED:
** STRINGENT SAFETY TRAINING QUARTERLY, **BETTER COMMUNICATION FROM REHAB STAFF ABOUT PATIENTS MEDICAL CONDITION
**SPOT CHECK RIDE ALONG 2X PER YR.
On-site transport-good
Preston
I must stress that this facility is in great need of rehabilitation from top to bottom. It's staff is so overwhelmed and over worked, that the quality of care is in jeopardy and patients are at risk.
My husband suffered an Ischemic stroke that left him with no mobility on his left side. He has sensation but zero movement. He was transferred from an acute rehab which felt his progress needed skilled nursing care. His immobility was an issue so the Heights of Summerlin was the "contracted" facility that my medical accepted. Not true, my medical had no contract in or out of network with ANY FACILITY. The benefits are stated as such and the chosen facility accepts it or not.
If your love one is in need of these facilities do not hesitate to contact your medical provider. Cannot stress it enough, know your benefits!!
Research the facility, do not believe the brochures. The Heights was well marketed and the reality was a nightmare.
So while my husband was there, he is also ESRD, end stage renal (kidney disease). Poor diet for kidney patients, outsourced transport, fell twice on transport return to facility. No report on first incident ended up in ER.
Poor circulation developed bedsores from not turning every 2 hours and pneumonia detected at ER.
If not for the fall my husband would still be there and I would continue to be in fear of leaving him.
First fall out of his wheelchair shame on them, second fall shame on me, there will not be a third!! He's out
I pray for good effective care for my husband. I pray for full recovery and function!! I pray for great changes at the Heights rehab center and everyone there, staff and patients. God please bless them all!!
This place needs to get with the program and have ALL staff respond to emails, not just the business office. My mother's case manager never contacted me once throughout her temporary stay. I'm a tech worker, I can't answer phones--EMAIL. Get with it, because tech work is well on it's way to being the largest stable industry outside of medicine, law and finance. EMAIL!
Very friendly staff... Genesis has just bought the facility and the beautiful facility is gearing up for some incredible improvements in patient care. Very elegant...
This my second time being here the height is always professional and clean.
I worked at Heights of Summerlin for 3 years.. Everyone I worked with, should be recognized as true professionals. I know first-hand, that the entire staff work tiresly to give patients and residents quality care.
Leigh Casey
This is long bear with me and read before sending your loved one here.
I gave one star because I had to. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
Other than Maggie the CNA this place as my 88 year old Mom called it- a chamber of horrors. She was sent there after fracturing her pelvis in 3 places for rehab. Most of the PT staff was very nice and caring. Ed and Thomas were awesome as were Marissa and Derek. Maggie was a life saver. The rest- eh not so much. From allowing my Mom to lay in her own filth for hours to giving her a hamburger on a moldy bun this place was awful. The only reason we feel she survived is because someone from the family was there 16-18 hours a day every day. There is not enough help for the patients.
We constantly had to remind them she is legally blind. Can't see anything. Yet they would always come up to her like she could see them. For example setting her med cup in front of her and walking away.
One night they wanted to x-ray my Mom and no one to help the tech my daughter had to help him hold her Grandma who was screaming in pain! My daughter will never get over that.
it took over 6 hours to get an IV started after they found she had a horrible UTI- which by the way caused her to literally lose her mind for 3 days. They blamed it on the pain pills.
Oh yeah the pain pills. They had lowered my Mom's meds to as needed because they were making her sleep a lot. Last weekend Mom was in a lot of pain so I asked the CNA can we give her something. She came back (as instructed by the RN) to say she can have Tramadol (never had it yet), Xanax (she was not anxious), or Percocet (what she had before). I said let's do 1/2 Percocet. I mean I'm not the flipping doctor but Ok let me tell YOU what to give my Mom. She came back and said the nurse decided Tramadol. Not sure what the point of that whole exercise was but OK. An hour later still no meds. I said what happened to my Moms pain meds? Oh we had to order that from the pharmacy should be here within a couple hours. WTAF? I said give her the Percocet you have that right? She said oh yes right here on the cart. I was this close to pulling a Shirley Mclane but they gave it to her.
One of our first days there as I sat in the PT room with Mom, a nurse or staff person walked in with an empty wheel chair that had someones oxygen on it. They didn't know who it belonged to and it was found out side empty! Did they lose the patient? They were close to panic. I never did find out what happened to the person.
The lady in bed next to her had been crying in pain all day asking for a heating pad for her back. They ignored her and finally her daughter had to come in and call 911 just to get her Mom some relief and get her the hell out of there.
Oh and there's the day the entire facility was out of Kleenex? What? A facility that houses mostly sick elderly and you are out of tissue? Again- WTAF?
Oh but I think the best was the nursing director or whatever her title is- Marilyn. She spoke to us like we were dumb. Bragged about where she worked and how they can't find good help these days blah blah blah. Even told us oh your Mom didn't have a UTI based on statistics....and goes on for like 15 minutes regarding stats on elderly people with UTI's. Have I said WTAF yet because it has now become a common phrase in my vocabulary.
Thank God my Mom is home on hospice now. We were about to pull her out AMA but thank the good Lord she was qualified. Now she is home and will get the care she needs.
This place is just what Mom called it- a chamber of horrors. But not Maggie she was the best thing about that place!
I am extremely disappointed with this facility. I live in Summerlin and can't believe their is a business that is so incompetent at what they do. My Mom has been here for about 3 weeks and the service here has been poor. Poor communication between staff that caused issues with appointments and transportation. Most of the people here have been nice and apologetic but it seems the management is lacking. I could have forgiven everything that has happened until today. Seeing that my Mom was getting worse after a recent doctor's procedure at another clinic they recommended that she be seen at a hospital for evaluation. We agreed and she was sent to Summerlin Hospital. After being there for several hours they said she needed to stay overnight to continue to run tests and evaluate her condition. We agreed and returned to the Heights of Summerlin ot notify them of the situation and make sure her room would be secured and reserved. When we got there we found out that her room had been cleaned and cleared of all her belongings. We had to track down the cleaning person to locate her items which were thrown in a box and put into storage. After some time we finally were told that when she left she was discharged which we were not told or else we would have taken all her things. I hope the other people there are not treated the same and that the management does a better job with training and communication. When she is released from the hospital we will be looking for a better faciltiy.
This place is absolutely aweful! The nurses are lazy and are never around when you need them. The therapy team is not up to par with new innovative treatment. My family member was there for 2 months and had not progressed in therapy at all! (the first 2 months are critical with stroke patients). Family member was sent to the hospital due to an infection (again nurses did not do their job and ignored constant complaints from family member that he/she wasn't feeling well) and in the 5 days, family member has exceeded in every aspect of therapy!!
This place is good at what they do. They care about the residents.
I was at sunrise when I was informed that I would be going to heights of summerlin, so I googled heights of summerlin and I saw all the bad reviews.
I have been here for 5 days and this place is great, every single person here is amazing. I would like to thank every single worker at heights of summerlin you have treated me wonderful. I have zero complaints.
Visited my uncle yesterday was told he wasn't there then finally found him could not get an answer who is nurse was Doctor nothing. Then went up to talk to the nurses station again stood there while three nurses fought very loud about who's going to give medications they knew I was standing there they continue to argue I threw my hands in the air and started to walk away nobody stopped me or ask me what I wanted. Not feeling good regarding care. He was was supposed to have SNIF, ( specialty nursing intensive facility) what a joke.
my UNCLE was admitted here this past weekend... I will give a fuller review later.
so this current can/should be changing after my visit later with him
HAVE A DAY
EMPLOYEE CONFIDENTIAL
HAVE THE CONDITIONS IMPROVED OR WILL I BE SADDENED THAT THEY HAVE NOT? HIS EX-WIFE FROM IL CAME OUT AND SPOKE WITH THE DAUGHTER TO FIND SOMEPLACE AND CAME UP WITH HERE.
[hope that made sense]
I've seen alot worse. These people are always checking on my grandma when I'm there. Just needs more parking
The absolute WORST. Feel bad for actual nurses, most of staff CNA. If I had financial especially would filed complaint. No proper care, not clean. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND
I like the CNA services. Best person u have met between hospitals, rehab, physical carenor anything else of that matter, thank you Maria!
My stay at THOS was one the most disappointing place to be STUCK AT! Not only did the staff disappear, when they were there they would nit respond to the patient's buzzers . There were several cna'swho were very attentive and helped when needed. Then there was the food, always came cold and flavorless. When you asked for seasonings,it fell on deaf ears. I would not refer THOS to anyone.
I must say I am very sceptical of nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers. But, from day 1 to day 20 after my mother's unfortunate accident, the stay/treatment @The Heights of Summerlin was quite refreshing. I personally experienced this special dedicated team of caregivers in action. Eileen and her team attended their patients like family. It was comforting to know that Kimberly, Monique, Javier, along with multiple shifts of caring nurses and aids were their 24/7 watching over my mom like family. I think they were truly angels in disguise, (wings on the inside). I highly recommend the Heights of Summerlin Rehab for anyone needing that special touch and support care during the trying times of recovery. 5 stars from me. I would definitely choose them again without hesitation... Tedd Brandes
Great place to work. They really care for their employees. They make sure to work around your schedule, even with a company change they still make you feel at home.
If zero was a possible score, that s what I would give them. My husband has been there for 5 days and has to call me for help! the staff is unresponsive, waiting 5 hours for pain medication is not acceptable !!! My husband is begging me to get him out of this place, but hands are tied until insurance approves the move!!!!
Mom in for rehab for a week. Food aweful and gave no substitution. In one week only received 1 shower at 9:20 pm.... ridiculous.
Stray from this place, looks nice from outside, but inside they are short handed, don't pay attention to rehab patients, nor the others.
Mentioned this to her case manager and the typical response, tell the nurse,. Case manager is to be a representative for the patient and they truly do not care.
They need to change the name to The Slums of Summerlin.
