Excellent hotel. Great room and food and the staff...
Excellent hotel. Great room and food and the staff were really helpful and couldnt do enough for us
Excellent hotel. Great room and food and the staff were really helpful and couldnt do enough for us
Luxurious, spacious, bustling and welcoming thanks to superb staff!
Absolutely treadful I left a 30 hat in the restaurant and they said it was closed and I couldn't simply go in and get my hat , security here is a joke if I'm honest just because they have a walkie talkie doesn't mean there the law
I did point out to the girl at reception , not very well signposted , very very small sign !!! It's a bit daunting when u walk in there is no reception you have to go up a few flights to get reception, then u have to join a que to get to a desk, a bit strange, u are looking out to a lot of building work going on
Good clean business hotel with a good value for money ratio. While some guests have complained I also found the food quality / taste in the bistro ok (not great), just the location is a little off to where the humble and bumble is
Lovely hotel. Great links from airport & tram line. But pity about building works. Had loud building work from 8:30 & still going strong at 31:45.
It was convenient for the Rock n Roll Half marathon, right on the start line, but as a hotel, service was very poor, in restaurant, room cleaning ( didn't happen). Reception just about approachable.
Great place. Stylish, friendly, big rooms, nice touches like little bunches of flowers you can bring to your room from reception. Beds very comfortable. Has a relaxation room and gym. Good WiFi. Food good too.
Chairs very badly stained ..food was nice .I ordered hot chocolate .cream gone off ..it was disgusting ..no apology or I wasn't offered another one, just handed back my money ..I felt like the staff didn't care about customers ..when I said it to management about the chairs he told me new ones where on the way and he hopes I will get in contact on my return ..
We held a business event in the Gibson Hotel yesterday (Sunday). It was a charity event in Aid of Homeless Charities in Dublin. The Hotel sponsored the room & tea & coffee for our guests. They also supplied us with a heavily discounted lunch which was beautiful. The room was lovely, with views overlooking the docks.
There were 2 screens for the projector & the whole set up in the room was lovely, very professional. Our guests loved the hotel & loved the setting. Our event manager on the day was Ciaron & he couldnt have been more helpful.
I would 100% recommend this hotel for a Corporate event. THANK YOU again to the Gibson for all your help with our Event. Denise - Inspired Design - Digital Transformation Event For Business Owners !
Amazing place staff n terrace amazing highly recommend
Beautiful hotel, some interesting views. Great rooms. Parking was a shock 32 for a full nights stay. If we had of asked at reception it would have been validated and reduced to 16.
Stayed here overnight while attending a show at the 3 Arena. Hotel was perfectly located directly across the road. Hotel was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I dined in the Hotel restaurant and the food was up to a high standard, tasty and we'll presented. Service was swift and professional despite a full house. The breakfast was very extensive with huge choices, well cooked and delicious with plenty of staff attending to your needs.
Great location, spotless hotel and very friendly staff.
very poor service.not enough staff or seating. would give -1 rating if i could.pathetic and expensive
Nice hotel, Right text to 3 arena and Right at the end of the luas....has a cinema text door with coffee shops,so you don't get bored
Entrance to hotel looks and feels like an underground concourse but .... take the elevator up to the restaurant on the top floor and it's a much better area. Spacious, modern and cosy at the same time. Staff lovely. Meals delicious and not over priced
Very mod & funky hotel in a great location for the 3 arena & with the Luas at the front door it's also very convenient for the city centre but far away enough to get a great nights sleep. Food is delicious & staff lovely. Definitely would recommend when staying in Dublin.
Nice, modern hotel. Lovely staff, great bar, decent rooms. Only downside is its a little removed from city centre but the luas is on your doorstep
This hotel scores highly for accessibility, with the red tram line stopping right outside, as well as the express bus to the airport. It is located opposite the Three Arena concert venue and 15 minutes from the central bus and train station.
The rooms offer beautiful views of the city, the harbor and the Irish Sea. Good breakfast buffet.
Besides the restaurant of the hotel itself, there are also some in the new shopping center just next to it.
Had the best time at this lovely Hotel. The service from the Staff especially the manager was fantastic. We had dinner at the restaurant..the food was out of this world!!
Lovely hotel helpful staff. Good breakfast especially separate gluten free section
Room great. Great and everything new. The only one is that it is far from the center of the city, but at the door of the hotel is the last stop of the tram, so there is no problem.
Great hotel and staff very attentive every time I stay here
Wonderful hotel. The room is very clean and so beautiful! I really didn't expect such a room and service. 5/5 for everything.
Effluvia from previous guests on the tile walls of the bathroom of a fresh room, Ikea like cabinetry with broken veneer, smudges on the walls of the hallway, stains on the carpet. I think the hotel is only nine years old, but is already in need of considerable renovation.
Smaller things are odd as well, like the shower door won't shut because the bottom gasket is old. The room is for two, with two towels, but only has one towel hook.
Giving two stars because, while unclean, it is quiet.
Good location with the Luas track just in front. Hotel has 6 floors with 252 rooms. The best thing about the Gibson is it's close proximity to 3 Arena (the old O2) at the Point. I was here for an IT seminar. Staff were very helpful. Hotel has lots of conference and seminar rooms all with good IT facilities. When it was time for lunch, we had a 3 course meal. Good experience all the way.
If you're visiting for pleasure or business, this location is great.
Charged twice at checkout. Customer services team (very loose term!) are completely inept and have not issued a refund over a month after staying here!
Avoid.
First impression is of a huge, impersonal giant of glass and metal, but you're bound to change your mind as soon as you reach the reception located on the third floor, passing a breathtaking and rightly awarded hanging garden. I've been staying here for a week, so I can state that...
Staff is super nice, kind, efficent and ALWAYS helpful and flexible
Rooms are new, comfy, well designed, bed is wide and soft at the right point. Room service is fast and reliable.
Bar is well stocked and not so overpriced, the seats are comfy and the atmosphere just right.
Dinner is ok (people I was with really appreciated, I'm surely very demanding but thought they could improve the quality and the quantity)
Breakfast buffet is simply to die for.
Located just behind 3Arena, in front of Luas The Point stop.
Lovely, lovely esperience alltogether
Decent hotel with excellent access to venture further into the centre of Dublin via tram. The rooms are a reasonable size although the window was cracked in our room. I think the hotel is in need of a little modernising.
PS It is worth noting that the Gibson responded to my post, showing that they do care for the customer's view. That's a plus !
Very nice hotel across from 3 Arena and across the river and about 1-2 miles into the Dublin city center! Great gym!!! Super comfortable beds. Great hotel.
We booked the Gibson purely for its location as we were booked to see Cirque du Soliel in the 3 Arena, upon arrival we parked in the Euro Parks car park as it was busy we were way down in -3... not an issue.
There was a bit of a queue for check in but the staff were friendly. While checking in our parking was charged at the special rate until 12pm the next day. We were offered Breakfast at the rate of 13 euro each if paid for then or 16 euro if we chose to do so the next day.. we opted to pay the reduced rate.
The room we got was 405, it appeared it is normally used for people who are in a wheelchair or reduced mobility as it had the accessible toilet etc... this wasnt an issue for us though.
The room was modern and clean though there was a black smudge on the net curtain in a small spot.. i'm just being picky though.
There was free water in the room too which was great and an empty fridge. Decent tea and coffee options which we didnt use and an ironing board and iron also present again not used as it was a one night stay.
The sleep was grand the bed comfy and extra pillows etc.. shame about not having a small window to open though as we love fresh air instead of awful aircon.
The breakfast was NOT worth 13 euro... I was expecting some form of table service but it was not to be had it was a buffet plain and simple, the food wasnt anything special either the sausages were cheap and appeared to have been deep fried (yuck). We had to chase down a member of staff to get tea and coffee brought to the table which was quite frustrating! I would HIGHLY recommend SKIPPING breakfast and going somewhere else.
Checkout was painless and quick and we were soon on the way.
Basically the Gibson is in a fantastic location for those who are going to something in the 3 Arena but it is pricey for this privilege.
Would have to really consider before id pay full price again for it.
Great modern hotel with a good size spa and relaxation room. Really nice food in the restaurant too!
Nice hotel with nice people in a nice location in a nice city. Go the dublin for concert go to Gibson. And don t forget to visit Ruby's for the best spare ribs in the world...
Can't believe they don't capitalise on the First Dates experience. We went and the menu was bland and they had no deserts from the show. My wife was very disappointed!
Nice surroundings in the restaurant but the food was quite poor for the price.
I've stayed in several hotels over the past few years but The Gibson has been hands down THE best! My first contact with the hotel was on their Facebook page, my flights were booked for early morning arrival, hours earlier than check in time, so I was enquiring as to whether my luggage could be stored somewhere, as it was a late night message I received a reply first thing in the morning to say it would not be a problem - we arrived for just after 10 and it turned out that we didn't need to store the cases as our room was ready on arrival, and boy what a room!!! So spacious and clean, with a massive comfortable bed, the bathroom was spotless with an option of two shower types as well.
The hotel itself is massive, on ground level entry you are greeted to either the choice of the grand escalators straight ahead or the glass elevators to your right - reception is on the 3rd floor, the lift is the quickest of the two but the escalators lead you closer to reception desks. The third floor also has the hotel bar and restaurants - the food is amazing, would highly recommend it but you would need to book a table in advance as it was very busy on the night.
As a non-driver I was really impressed with the public transport choices close by the hotel - the tram stop is literally a 1 minute walk away from the front of the hotel that will take you through the city centre. Taxis are usually available at the front of the hotel in the evening as well.
If you are looking for a hotel close to the 3 arena then you can't get any closer - it's straight facing the hotel, perfect!!!
One last thing was the friendly service at reception on both arrival - advising to book a table for our evening meal, and departure - with an early evening flight we didn't really want to be carrying our cases around the busy city centre, there were no issues for safely storing our cases for several hours while we mooched around one last time.
All in all I cannot recommend The Gibson Hotel enough, a wonderful hotel that made a special weekend even more memorable
Good Hotel, very clean, available, excellent breakfast, very friendly staff ...
Overall a good stay, great location for the 3 arena, but the hotel is aware of this and definitely overcharges for this facility.
Quality of food at breakfast could be a bit better.
But a good stay very clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff.
Would stay here again if attending another concert in the 3 arena.
Nice modern building.
Close to the 3 Arena. Not a good city centre location.
Poor bar service and staff are untrained and badly organised.
Would not recommend as a location for an event.
I stayed here for about 4 days. First off, the hotel is chic, has great ventilation, amazing views, and a cozy room with enough power sockets and lights. You get free apples :) and the bar is amazing!
The location is exactly opposite to the 3 arena, and it has excellent connectivity to all the main areas in Dublin. There are a good number of restaurants and cafes around the hotel so you won t be left wanting for options.
Special shout out to the extremely helpful and cordial staff!
The rooms are amazing and so was the service and kindness of the staff but best of it all is the incredible breakfast! The only negative is the location i guess, it is kind of long to get into the "main" center of the city.
Very well appointed for the port, clean, spacious, accommadating
4 star hotel, good for business travelers as well as for conferences etc. would recommend, staff is Professional.
Clean, does the job but generally lacks attention to detail.
I ve stayed at The Gibson a few times, it s one of my go-to spots in Dublin, and more of a 3.5 star overall. I like the location, convenient to the airport and town, and now the north-side Luas line. The Docklands is and will be for some time a massive construction site, but there s little impact of all the building on one s stay here.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and in my experience the place is quiet, and spacious (both the hotel building and the rooms). But for such a new hotel the place is looking, in the rooms, a bit worse for wear. The room in which we recently stayed had abundant carpet stains and stuffs on walls. It was sparsely decorated, spartan really, with a single painting over one side of a bed that slouched southward at the head end.
All in all a good choice for affordable Dublin stays.
Lovely stuff, huge room and delux super king size bed. Excellent noise cancellation facing 3 arena.
Great room the shower was huge and plenty of room for me and my partner wilp definitely be returning!
Super nice, clean, up to date with a good location and great breakfast bar. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to go back!
Super cool architecture. Staying here is like sleeping in a modern art museum
Fantastic rooms good food and drinks excellent for gig's
Beautiful hotel but during the month of December there are company parties every day, but there are hundreds of people who are trying to get tired in the night. Nice to see once, but bad for your night's sleep!
Lovely atmospuere on entrance to hotel, very very busy and loud in bar so hard to fully enjoy a beverage and chat. Love the quirky items in lobby. Drinks are expensive
Excellent hotel. Only problem is paying 12 for parking-it's pretty steep.
we have stayed on numerous occasions in the hotel...its bright functional and airy..big spaces, and high areas,,, a must...brilliant service brilliant staff,,,all sections,,,as always, expensive but worth it,,,luas outside,, 3 arena outside. perfect.
Excellent hotel with extremely helpfull stuff. Great location!!
Fantastic hotel. Rooms are amazing. Staff are lovely. Stayed twice and will definatly stay again
It was the best stay ever. I went to see little mix in the o2and me and my mam stayed there
It was a great time.
I booked here because it looked great on the TV show , The hotel is very nice and the staff were lovely , but that s where it ends, my starter lacked flavour and imagination ! But my main course was soggy and COLD , I couldn t wait to leave ! Very Very disappointing !!!
Nice business hotel with public transport stops very close, good location for a Dublin sightseeing trip. In the evening not much to eat in the hotel, Restaurant is closed most of the time.
It's definitely a bit off the beaten path but the rooms are great and the hotel is beautiful. It's mostly business travelers who are in town from multi-national companies not too far away from here.
Very nice place to stay. Had a wonderful time. ideally located. Very courteous staff. Excellent breakfast. Nice cozy bed rooms.
Service very bad waiting twenty mins for a waiter to come to our table to take our order. When I questioned one waitress about the delay she was rude with her answer.
Loved our stay there, last night, will deffo be back.
The hotel was clean with good amenities and great service. Didn't get the bed I reserved and ended up with two twins which wasn't my favorite, but it was still comfortable.
Stayed her after concert. It was great to be so near rather than having to travel home. The only thing was the bar was full when we got back and as a resident of the hotel found that we had to queue with all the others who came in from the concert not sure if they were all residents but if one bar had been segregated for residents maybe it would have been better. Over three quarters of an hour for a drink.
