Was here on 25th of October for the concertChaka Khan Nile Rodgers & Chic what a great hotel, the staff were very helpful and the service great, was surprised at the prices for alcohol cheaper than most other hotel's I visited in Dublin City, the decor the best I have seen in a long while, the bar and restaurant are on the 3 floor and has a balcony outside for smoking or relaxing with great scenery, it's a great place if you are heading to the 3 Arena as it's only a minute away from the hotel the same with the Luas for getting into the City centre, will definitely be visiting this hotel again especially if going to the 3 Arena, well worth a visit.

The Gibson may be before its time in its position at the Point Village Dublin adjacent to Arena 3 but it's conveniently located for drivers at the end of the M50/M1 port tunnel (with onsite parking for 14 per day) and a five minute tram ride from OConnell St. It's a ten minute walk to the bars and restaurants of EPIC, the Emigration Museum complex on the River Liffey. In time the docklands redevelopment will settle in around it. As a tourist I like to see a city from the walking perspective and it was an easy mile into the centre, Temple Bar and Trinity College and a nice walk down river on the way home to look at all the new developments on the way back.

The room was large, ultra clean and contemporary, full of light with new furnishings. Sleep was no problem in the quiet area. Breakfast at 13 was a bargain smorgasbord worth getting up for and lingering over with a large selection of foods for more demanding diets. Staff were at all times, including a 4 am checkout, helpful and courteous.

Yes, the Gibson is not in the centre of Dublin - what great hotels are?- but it has much to recommend it.

The Gibson Hotel is placed right next to a stop on the tram route, which makes it easy to get into the city centre. The hotel itself is a dream and the service is great. The only reason I didn't give the hotel a fifth star is it's location. I'd recommend it, especially for professionals.

Breakfast buffet really good with a lot of variaty of products of good quality

Edited on Jan 2020. Quality has decreased, no more complimentary water, flowers or apples. breakfast buffet and dinner menu options have been reduced A LOT!

Starting off, very bad service. A pushy manager kept interrupting us at our table several times about ordering when we were not yet ready to. Staff are all young people and severely under trained, one male member of staff began to clear some of the plates when people at our table were still in the middle of eating. Food was just okay and did not make up for the terrible service. I ordered a latte and had to remind members of staff about 6 times that I did. After waiting almost 30 minutes one of the managers brought the coffee, after stopping to have a chat for 5 minutes with another customer. Another member of my party asked a waiter if they have Calypso Coffee and his response was what? After 20 minuets he came back from the bar with a thrown together mess of a drink in a dirty glass that was half spilt on the tray. Extremely less than mediocre experience. 0/5

The hotel is nice i was there with my family on the Sunday great service friendly bar staff, returned back two weeks later with my son after a concert in the 3 arena and was refused entry, so they will let you in when times are slow, but if its anyway busy in Dublin it seems they pick and choose who they let in so Maby residents only. I won't be returning.

Very nice modern hotel with big, modern and bright rooms that have their windows/french balconies to a very green inner courtyard. Very solid breakfast buffet and good connections to the city center with the luas (tram) that stops right in front of the hotel. It's also a pretty nice (extended) walk to the center by the river. The Dublin convention center is in walkable distance.

This hotel was fantastic.

This hotel was fantastic.
Although not directly in the city centre the regular (every 10 minutes) tram service stops outside and you can be in the centre in 10 minutes.
The room was spacious and clean - the bed was very comfortable.
The selection for breakfast was amazing.
The staff were great and very helpful.
Can't fault it and would recommend to others wanting to stay in he Irish capital.

Amazing

Hotel is in a great location for shows at the 3 Arena however the weekend room rate is very expensive (and doesn't include breakfast) and isn't very good value for money. The hotel still has a relatively new feel about it but does not blow you away nor does it give you any wow factor. Rooms are ok size wise but again nothing spectacular. Menu at bar is limited & for a certain palate.

Gibson was nice drinks were gre as t it's a pity when we asked the girl could we have a table for 5 and she said there wasnt any...there was only 3 other tables occupied and non said reserved on them.
Then changed her mind said it would 15 minutes! Honestly worst service I've ever had and for a 5 star hotel its unbelievable that staff could be, what felt like just very lazy

The Gibson Hotel is absolutely lovely. The staff is very helpful and the rooms are great. There is lots of space, a comfortable bed, and everything you could need for an overnight stay. The Gibson is right next to a tram stop, so it is perfect for getting into Dublin. And there is a cinema and places to eat right in the same complex so it is very convient as well. Highly recommend if you plan on visiting Dublin.

Excellent hotel, cool and sleek, had breakfast delivered to room was excellent service. Room was a nice size and bathroom had a rainfall shower which is a nice feature, they also have pre-checkout which saves time when you are leaving.

Irish Tourism Group booked the hotel for me...and I'm happy they did. The room was great and availabie when I arrived around 9:30am...after traveling all night. That early check-in might not always be possible...but I'm happy it was. Th Gibson is not only next to 3-Arena, it is also on the AirLink route wich was terrific.. It's only a 20-minute (at most) comfortable seven euro bus-ride from the airport. Then...Bonus...the tram to downtown Dublin and all it's glory is located right outside the door. Great breakfast. Great staff. Great hotel. I can't imagine you would be sorry! Cindy S. Ann Arbor, MI USA

Found the hotel itself to be clean and well presented. But we thought the staff at the front desk unapproachable and felt that I was a hinderance during check in and check out I found them quite unhelpful for example I had asked for a reservation in the restaurant that evening for dinner the receptionist explained it was a gig night and that they were busy but she would look into it and ring up to my room. I never got a call and we stayed in the room till 5 before having to leave to enquire ourselves.
Another thing that dropped a star was the parking. We checked in at 2pm and checked out at 10.45am so less than a 21 hour stay and paid 19.50 for parking, I was under the impression that it was 16 for 21 hours but upon speaking to reception that is only for customers who check-in at 3pm and leave at 12noon. A but ridiculous as we were under the 21 hours. Disappointing service in my opinion.

The Gibson Hotel has lovely bars for drinks and food options in the hotel and great views and smoking area on the terrace. Might be crowded after gigs at 3 Arena which is right across from hotel. No gigs - very relaxing!

Nice.

Perfect for gigs in three arena, across the yard and handy for parking for rugby, soccer or gigs in Aviva stadium. Friendly helpful staff, good night's sleep on the beds and roomy rainfall shower to waken you in the morning. Bottled water, tea or coffee in the room with an iron and board in the wardrobe if needed. The bar is a bit expensive and I have had trouble with the car park wanting 30 having already paid the hotel 14 for parking, sorted of course but a pain having to return to reception the last 2 stays here.

Great location for 3 Areana also with Luas stop right outside door. Bar food wasnt available on the night which wasn't good. They were only serving food in their restaurant. Wouldn't like to see that to continue

Welcomed by extremely friendly staff, wishing us a great stay. Went for dinner in the hemidemi bar, ordered cocktails which were tasty and green chicken curry even more tastier!! Desert was to die for as recommended by the waiter and Prosecco and strawberries left in the room for us. Amazing stay, possibly the best hotel we ve ever stayed in! We will for sure be back for our second stay but we will be sure to make it a longer one! We didn t want to leave! Thanks a million

Superb hotel right beside "The Point" :-) Unusual setup with reception up a couple of floors via lift or escalator. Shared multi-storey car-parking which might be an issue if you arrive when a gig is on. Not a short walk into town but easily done. Tons of taxis etc. Luas stops outside the frontdoor.

On Friday evening the bar and restaurant was taken over by Deloitte for a private party. Residents were refused entry. There are no restaurants locally so we had to go into town. Unfortunately being a Friday night all restaurants were booked. If we had been advised in advance we could have made arrangements accordingly. You don't expect to stay at a four star hotel and be unable to get food or drink! We complained at checkout but were just given the brush off. Extremely unimpressed.

Clean, tidy, friendly staff, spacious rooms(superior) good location for 3 Arena and Dublin Docklands, expensive? I know it's in a premium spot, but still a bit pricey for what it is... if you're looking for the First Dates TV show experience in the in house Coda restaurant, prepare to be disappointed! Big crack in our bedroom window? (6th floor), no shower gel.... missing a big marketing opportunity with First Dates restaurant, but maybe there is a clause with the TV production team? Food was good though as were the attentive staff.

Conveniently located at The Point next to the Luas (tram) red line and opposite the 3Arena concert venue. Restaurant and bar very popular. Excellent service from staff at reservations and front desk. Bed very comfortable and bathroom clean and well serviced. Starbucks, Freshii and Ruby's downstairs. Spar convenience store around the corner. Suggestion for improvement: Fix long rod to the tall curtains in the hotel rooms to enable complete closure for shutting out light.

The rooms are clean, modern and have good amount of space, beyond that though it is just a modern "chain" hotel. There is no real atmosphere, the staff are very pleasant but it is just a place to sleep in a concrete block.

We stayed for one night while going to a gig at the 3 arena. It's so convenient for that. The hotel is modern and very well decorated. Our room was excellent and huge. Had all the amenities we would have expected. The rooms are very quiet, we did not hear any other guests while there. The only reason we have not rated 5 stars is because of the construction work that was going on right next to the hotel which annoyed us a bit in the morning but considering the proximity the noise wasn't too bad.
