Loved the place. Was here for a weekend in Dublin and the hotel had a great vibe. The team were really friendly. Had to be up early for a flight but the guys in breakfast still treated me with a smile and great food. Joking on the way to the airport that MnM looked after us, Marco and Maja

Lovely vibrant hotel. Really cool and comfortable rooms and beds. I always sleep and eat well at The Gibson, and it is definitely my favorite hotel in Dublin
The Gibson hotel is a very modern hotel - for better and worse. On the better side, they provide an upscale and modern atmosphere with wonderful art and scenery. On the downside, there are amenities missing pf which they dont inform you of until it's too late. For example, they dont have wash clothes in the room unless you ask. We were able to find someone in the hallway but this was an odd omission.
Lovely hotel and staff only staying one night with work, some restrictions with covid will definitely come back when things are more normal great location check it out really classy
We had a great two night stay. Everything about this hotel is first class - room, dining, customer service, original art work, the whole ambiance. It is also most conveniently located at the end of a tram stop.
Nice modern aesthetic for the rooms and restaurant. Restaurant service could be better, though it was a weekend so understandably busy. Still, a lovely place.
Perfect place to stay if attending a gig in 3 arena, directly opposite with easy parking. Picture is from the smoking area looking at the main doors of the 3 arena
The hotel is in a great location and the luas stops right outside making it very easy to travel into the shopping areas. Staff on reception were nice and helpful. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable, had a great nights sleep after a busy day shopping in the city. The only let down was the breakfast, it was understaffed, all the tables were used and not cleared so there was little choice of where to sit (even though there were lots of tables unoccupied), wanted to order poached eggs and had to stand up and walk around to find the only staff member that seemed to be working (apart from one other who was out front seating people), the hot buffet was a bit dried up and not appetising looking even though it was only 9.30am and breakfast goes til 11am. so i would not pay for that again, i would eat out instead. Overall i would consider staying here again but i wouldnt have breakfast which is a pity.
Great hotel, very very friendly staff, super location and high service standards. Cocktails are delicious. We tend to stay for short stays, but is more than worth it.
Very nice hotel in a convenient location on the north side of Dublin center, nearer to the airport than many other four star hotels. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would gladly return to this hotel anytime I am in Dublin.
Love the size of the rooms. Location is perfect, and rare to find parking in a city centre hotel. Thought breakfast would have been more exciting/ or unusual options. I'm vegetarian but love quorn or fake meat breakfast option.
The Gibson is a modern and very chic hotel in the Docklands area of Dublin, right across from the 3 Arena (where Riverdance started). The hotel loses none of its comfort for all its modernity, a fact which is greatly appreciated by this seasoned traveler. The rooms are bright and inviting, and the beds comfortable. Bathroom is spacious and well-appointed. The restaurant provides good food (I just had the breakfast daily).
The location can be a downside, as the hotel is not in the heart of the city and as of this review there was a lot of construction going on in adjacent lots. However, the Luas red line Point Stop is literally right there, making access to the attractions easy. Hotel is a little hard to navigate as well, with reception being on the third floor and restaurant in a back corner. These are minor inconveniences, however, for such a comfortable atmosphere.
Haven't stayed here but the bar before concerts creates a brilliant atmosphere. Staff are really nice and it's just a really comfortable place to be and have a few drinks or bite to eat!
The hotel was nice in general, but I was offended when the receptionist handling my checkin insisted that I preauthorize a payment of 14 in advance for breakfast, instead of directly charging it to my room and having it settled at checkout like every other hotel. That was after I had chosen to pay around 600 for my stay in advance. I ended up going outside for all my meals, which was a pleasant way to experience more of Dublin.
Our recent stay in The Gibson was perfect! The service was personal, friendly and attentive. From Piotr at check in to Marcus at breakfast we were attended to and looked after with professionalism topped off with a huge dollop of loveliness. Thank you!!!
Our waitresses attitude was so bad. 1. Asked for a table for 3, she rolled her eyes and said the place is not busy sit were u want. Then just walked away....It was so awkward. 2. Sat down. Order a bottle of wine. Came down with it and just plonked it on the table. Didn't open it to see if we wanted to taste, then just walked away. Also no bucket to chill it. When we looked around there was other people with the chill buckets. 3. To top it off me and my gf brought he cousin to the hotel as she is from limerick and loves the first dates show. She was not impressed to say the least.
Had an amazing stay at The Gibson Hotel. Everything was perfect from booking right through to checking out. I had a couple of requests right up to a couple of hours before we arrived and they were only happy to oblige. Room/Bed was spacious and comfortable. Food and drinks were perfect and went down and treat. The effort the staff showed to make our stay as comfortable as possible didnt go unnoticed especially with all the restrictions in place at the moment. They all had a smile and happy to help. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back for another stay.
Really love this place. In terms of the bar there s a really nice ambience. Would consider it overpriced generally but that s Dublin for you. No excuse for not serving large glasses of wine. It s only a case of putting more of the same wine in a bigger glass - I mean seriously?
Beautiful hotel, rooms are huge and showers are amazing. Lovely staff and great food. The Luas leaves from outside and brings you to the centre of the city in 5 minutes.Bar and restaraunt tend to be busy on concert nights but it adds to the atmosphere.
Fantastic hotel all around, however there should be more pillows in the bedrooms, one hard flat pillow and a cushion is not comfortable. There is also a lack of drinking water in the bedrooms. Fountains could be utilised in the lobby. Staff is excellent, relaxation area is great touch. Bedrooms immaculate.
Great place to stay! Large room with a large step in glass shower, plus a large gorgeous outdoor balcony area! Balcony area shared with other rooms, but each room has its own area of the balcony!
Hotel is situated in a great location. Room was very clean however it could do with a lick of paint as there was black marks all over the walls. Otherwise, the room was spotless. Bed was very comfy and I loved the big spacious shower. The only cons I have are the price of the car park which is very expensive and the 5 PER TRAY fee for the in-room dining.
Modern & clean hotel with a good location, But sadly very noisy hallways on our visit & a light room door which let all the noise straight through. Only 1 of 2 beds in a family room booked for 4 had sheets fitted or available in the room, the 1 single fold out bed provided for use by a 9 & 10 year old was too small so we requested an additional fold out bed for the second child and some bedsheets to be arranged, this was accommodated after 2 calls to reception and a very long wait were we ended up having to leave for a booking but the bed was at least in place on our return. I later asked in reception where I may purchase some milk for the room for tea & was politely told that some would be sent to the room. I thanked the girl but 45mins later ended up going out to buy some elsewhere as this never arrived. A very good selection was available for breakfast the following including special dietary options for my daughter which was nice. Nice hotel and facilities but the service touches let it down on this occasion for us. maybe next time.
Great Hotel to stay at in the City. The Luas stop is right outside the hotel and parking is underneath so very handy if you are driving into the city. It is also only a short drive from the airport which is convenient. The area was nice and quiet when we stayed, although there wasn't a performance on at the 3 Arena which is just across the road. The rooms are a good size and the bathroom had a walk in shower with a rainfall and normal shower head. My only issue was the frosted glass panel between the bedroom and the bathroom. It was a nice design element but unfortunately meant that any nighttime trips to the bathroom lit up the whole bedroom which disturbed my husband a bit during the night. Not all rooms have this, so be sure to ask for a room without if, like me, you get up during the night. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay with really lovely helpful check in staff and I would stay there again.
Location was great. Easy access to the Luas which takes you wherever you need to go. The rooms were very nice. The service, however, was quite poor. No one really seemed to care much at all aside from the manager, Kevin. Most of the wait staff were either indifferent or down right rude. This may be due to the fact that the hotel is undergoing a change in ownership, which we learned after inquiring to a cab driver on our way to the airport.
Looking back, one of my favorite hotels I have stayed at. The food was amazing, the location is great and the place is extremely clean and did I mention GEORGOUS?
Hotel is clean, bright and fresh. Rooms are nice. Front desk staff needs some training on what a hotels first policy should be.."do what we can within our power to accommodate the needs of the customer." A booking mishap resulted in far too many "our policy is" conversations when I just needed to find a room to sleep in after having been traveling for 18 hours. While the error was not the hotels, nor mine, the response letting me wishing I could find somewhere else with availability to stay.
Modern city hotel, a bit out of the way, but in the middle of it all. Hotel is near the "3 Arena" at the tram terminus. Big rooms, good breakfast, good service at the reception.
Best Hotel in Ireland!! This place ROCKS. Right across from 3Arena and the streetcar stops directly in front of the door. Couldn't be easier for getting around Dublin. Awesome staff, very modern. Great time was had by all.
Great venue. Super helpful staff who did everything to make sure that we enjoyed every minute of our stay. A special shout out to young Sean who was serving his first wedding. The food was excellent, the service was excellent - to be recommended.
Amazing stay and staff. In our experience be aware that even though they order a cab that is supposed to take credit card the driver will deny it and try to force cash payment. I insisted on card and it imagine that a credit card machine appeared from the glove box. This happened on 2 out of 2 cabs they ordered for us. I do not fault the Gibson or it's staff it is out of there control I imagine.
Stayed at the hotel for one night 15 - 16 August 2020, my wife was looking forward to it as it is featured in the TV show First Dates. I know times have changed and we all must adapt but sometimes a little attention to detail goes a long way. Our room was fine but at dinner we had 3 cutlery mistakes, a mistake with the wine order, both our main course meals were what I will describe as warm and not hot. The room where we stayed looked overlooked a block onto a glass roof, a room below us seemed to be having a room party and because of the layout of the area, a square, the noise echoed throughout that square until 3 am. Breakfast menu was fine a lot to choose from but again was slow due to two more mistakes with the order. A nice hotel but unfortunately not enough sleep due to the room party below our room, felt like I was in Magaluf.
Central location ideal tram stop and bus in front of hotel, very quiet very good service. Not recommended for asthmatic carpets must be a real mite nest!
The staff is great, helping in every way and very polite. The room is good and nice. I also choose the hotel because they had a fitness room. This could be stocked up on a little more weights (heavier ). Breakfast is good , nice and fast.
Nice spot food was lovely room was spacious and the staff are very warm and friendly we only stayed one nite on the special " i want to break free , deal i would stay again
Very close to the convention centre, rooms are clean with all you need but the bathroom walls look very cheap, there is a frosted glass window between bedroom and bathroom that has a strip of clear glass so you can be seen from the bedroom, slightly embarrassing if sharing with a work colleague. Only bar food available on the night we stayed which was ok. All staff do a good job but very little interaction with us except one young waiter that was very pleasant.
Stayed in gibson few times can't complain the reception staff are lovely and very helpful was upgraded too executive room which was amazing and had great view had food and drinks in bar it was lovely couldn't fault anything would highly recommend this hotel
Kind of a dump in a bad area away from everything - twin beds are cots - April 2019 - construction all around us. I didn t book this - Globus Tours did - I would have researched this and skipped it had I made the arrangements myself.
This one of the best hotels I have stayed in. When you arrive at the hotel you feel the luxury all around you and the receptionists are greeting you with a smile. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Every more a real Irish breakfast is served! As best a home away from home can be.
Located at the docklands, the point village square at the last Luas stop. The Gibson hotel is surrounded my modern aminities such as student accommodation, restaurants and grossary stores. Odeon cinemas. Rooms are super clean and comfortable. Money well spent.
