I visited today. The place is fabulous but as far as staff managing social distancing people were taking mask of one's inside staff just looked at them never said a word. I went to one staff member saying one family were getting up very close to us with no masks on. Nothing she could do apparently. Hated every minute so worried about mygrandaughter. We left through the fire exit after half an hour a staff member let us out as they said they could do nothing to help us but leave through the fire exit. We'll if that is good custermas service. God help anyone who goes there during covid

Brilliant place to take kids loads for them to see and do. Gets busy though! Staff could not have been more friendly either. So easy to get around with pushchair and the food from the cafe was good and not over priced which is a bonus.

Great day out for older and younger kids alike. Lots of interactivity and beautiful displays. A real education to our effect pollution has on our oceans and the life within. We spent about 3 1/2 hours here. It was very busy but we did visit in the summer hols.

Great for children! There is loads to see, lots of snippets of scientific and zoological information and a clean, pleasant environment in which social distancing is admirably managed through restricted visitor numbers. And tickets are good for multiple visits. Brilliant!

A little disappointed by our visit we were expecting more from our trip to the deep we were through the aquarium in an hour and couldn't get near most of the information displays due to ignorant people stood about blocking the walkways.

Although a little smaller than expected, The Deep has an excellent collection of creatures and offers great value for money. A range of both salt and freshwater fish is welcomed and there s even a group of penguins. The aquariums are well thought out and well kept, with a host of educational information on offer.

My kids love it here. We always take a packed lunch to keep costs down, but there are decent looking food halls available. Easy access to toilets on the way around. Clean and well maintained. Nice that you pay once (cheaper to buy online in advance) and get a year of access. Good car parking, gets full bit usually attendants to help manage alternative parking when busy. Shame the play area at the end is for children under 1m only.

The Deep has been a fantastic addition in Hull, (constructed in 2002), and has become one of Hull's key selling points. An Aquarium full of various schools of fish, various insects, penguins, education on our rising sea levels/global warming, prehistoric existence and what lies beneath our darkest, and undiscovered parts of our oceans.

The food is well priced, and since this is a charity organisation they are very humble. Staff are pleasant, helpful and genuinely enjoy what they do. It's refreshing to see.

I hope this place expands further!

Fantastic

Fantastic

Allow yourself plenty of time for this attraction as you spiral down through layer after layer of fish, sharks and and other marine life

What an amazing place. Handling Covid like a boss. Great value for money, lots of educating and interactive things for kids of all ages. Brought my eldest here when he was 3 and now returning when he's 7 with his brother who is now 3. They absolutely loved it. Great aquarium and well worth a visit

Brilliant place to visit with the kids or without:) only thing we could fault is the waiting time for the lift at the end but is to be expected on busy periods! However In the lift was brilliant and a real treat :)

Very nice aquarium with some excellent interactive exhibits for children and young adults to learn more about the ocean in general, be warned that it can get extremely busy at peak times and you might have to wait for the exit lift that goes up within the large tank.

Fabulous day out with the family, very engaging staff that are passionate about their subject and conservation. Beautiful displays of very healthy appearing fish species, well thought out penguin habitat and play areas and interactive displays for small children

There is also a reasonably priced cafe and lifts throughout. For those of us with mobility issues there are also wheelchairs in the lobby.

When you buy your tickets you get a free return for as many times as you wish for the rest of the year.

Don't forget if you have a Tesco club card that you can use your points, currently at 4x (soon changing to 3x) the value to buy tickets as we did making it a very budget friendly day out. The look of joy and wonder on my granddaughter's face as she was exploring here would have made it worth double the full asking price though.

There are two carparks adjacent to the main building, on the flat so mobility friendly.

Visited with our disabled son on what was advertised as a tranquil Tuesday, expecting to find special needs schools visiting and a generally quieter visit. What greated us as we walked down the ramp into the main exhibit was some much noise coming from what we discovered was 8 schools. Last time we visited we were there approx 2 hours after being shunted out of the way by tribes of unchecked 5-6 year olds we exited 30 minutes later. We did later find out in the depth of the website that tranquil Tuesday starts at 3pm this needs to be made clearer. We had a very disappointed and upset son who had looked forward to visiting the deep as part of our holiday to the area

Very busy as it was half term. I bought tickets online but discovered you still have to queue up with everyone else so it was no advantage. Then on returning the next day to use our 12 months free access ticket we were told we had to queue again and would have to do the same at every subsequent visit. Kind of makes the order online & free years access a bit of a joke as you don't get in any quicker and seeing as the queues were approximately 1.30 hrs during half term I won't be rushing back.

Really good aquarium, with wonderful exhibits to see. There were plenty of hand sanitatiser stations around, staff seen with cleaning gear constantly and allocated viewing spots indicatedby floor stickers. Didn't get too crowded but there were some selfish people who would spend ages looking at some tanks then a queue would build up, which obviously isn't ideal at the moment. Maybe the more popular tanks could be monitored? Although I understand this may not be possible depending on staffing levels. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the saw fish was a favourite

Amazing place to visit. So many wonderful things to see and learn. Great for kids and adults. The cafe meals are delicious and extremely good value for money. Guarantee you will be amazed at the big tanks with all the different fish. Absolutely fantastic.

Not bad for a day out. The staff are very friendly and great with the kids. The food is pretty good and not too ridiculous price wise. There is quite a lot to see, but it did seem to end quite quickly so we went round again. The main reason I'm only giving it 4 stars though is because they didn't have an octopus. But your ticket lasts for a year so we will be back to see if they have one then.

Didn't match up to expectations. Not as big or as many big lagoons as expected. Only one larger pool, plus the penguins and few other smaller tanks. Price ok. Crowded in holidays so battle to see things. Wtitten displays too much for the kids, could be simplier info displays aimed at kids. Overall not as much to see as there could be. But what there is is good.

Yeah not bad for the money.. nice that they're not a profit making aquarium. Unlike blue planet where you need a small mortgage to take the kids out.. a lot of the tanks were closed for maintenance but again you can't grumble as it's cheap to get in.. would deffo be a great place to take kids... if you're going to go on a Saturday or Sunday then go before 11am or after 4pm as you will queue for at least an hour to get in.
