Thoroughly enjoyed it, but expected to see more fish from underneath a big tunnel, liked the historical facts on the displays

No matter how many times we attend the deep, we enjoy it every time, staff excellent
Fun day out. Lots to look at. We took our baby daughter and she loved looking at the exhibits. Parking is not free. Get there early to avoid queuing.
It was alright it's just that there were no surprising fish there and the journey was really quick for what we paid for
Didn't realise we'd get round it in an hour! For what we paid we expected a little more to be honest. The animals are well looked after and we saw the penguins being fed, which was lovely.
A bit dated, but a great half-day out for the family. As an added bonus, the tickets double up as an annual pass.
Amazing place, get yourself down to visit it...what are you waiting for?
A great plaice to visit
Pencil in at least a couple of hours to see every fin. I'd been herring good things about the Deep and finally got the chance to go.
Kids love it. Don't understand why you have to queue to exit building using a lift if you have a pushchair queued over 20mins not a very big lift don't know how you do in a fire alert I wonder if they have fire tests some parts are very dimly lit
Took my little brother and he absolutely loved it. Will go again.
Thoroughly recommend The Deep to everyone, any age young and old will really enjoy the experience. Facility was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again
Great day out for the kids. Loads of animals/fish to see and enjoy.
Fantastic and informative day out. However, the sheer volume of people trying to use the lift to exit meant that anybody unable to use the stairs had to wait for quite a while before leaving.
Very good food
.. staff awesome:)
Absolutely brilliant. It's that good I'm going again tomorrow.
Absolutely amazing. Lovely for all the family. Highly recommended
Would give zero stars if I could, went onto the website last night to check opening times and to see if I needed to book a time slot. There was no option to book so I assumed I wouldn't need to, drove over an hour today waited in line only to be told no sorry you need to book online. I explained that when I went into the website there wasn't an option to book. However the staff were rude and unhelpful and just said that's not our fault you haven't booked so you can't visit. I explained it had taken over an hour to get here with a toddler so it doesn't make sense for us not to book and the manager called me a liar. Absolute shambles from start to finish. Do not recommend based on this experience
Was very busy due to half term, not as large as I was expecting so it meant it was very hard to see many of the exhibits, but still a good day out.
Excellent service, very friendly and approachable crew members, interesting talks during shark feeding (even for one particular colleagues first ever talk!). Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 would be the quality of food in the restaurant and cleanliness in the restaurant.
A very instructive museum for children about our planet.
Expensive and overrated. Good viewing of the main tank, but far too much video stuff. In and out in an hour, including lunch. I won't be using my free all year tickets.
Limited parking and you have to pay ( via machine to do so )not as good as expected
We took our 13 week old who loved the colours in the tanks. Very safe in this environment with sanitising stations at every interactive section and safe numbers
I would recommend the deep to all my family and friends me and my daughter loved it
Excellent aquarium. Well laid out and plenty to see and learn about. Free car park. Good value restaurant.
Fantastic place for family trip with children (even very small, special during raining weather. Nice cafe and restaurant. Toilets on each level :)
Well worth a visit if in hull good value for money only 14 pound per adult
Not bad, but not outstanding either. Interesting concept as you go deeper and deeper from the 3rd floor downwards. However as this is probably my 15th aquarium of this size, I found the variety of marine life subpar. Large parking lot nearby. Go if you have time, I did it in 1 hour.
Brilliant place. Fantastic selection of marine life. Very reasonable entry fee
The Deep is a great place to visit whatever age you are. Your ticket lasts a year and we would definitely visit again
An amazing aquatic museum built around a gigantic fish tank. You must, simply must go
Couldn't get near anything because of schools. So loud. Ended up leaving after 10/15 minutes. Usually enjoy it but can't get round these days due to the numerous schools.
Smaller than I expected but it's pretty cheap to be fair, would rather pay more and have more to see but it was an OK day, limited food and drink choice.
Most attractions were pretty good but with limited viewing space, we all felt really disappointed with the tunnel & big tank. Wasn't really many places to look and with it being so busy we could hardly get through the tunnel let alone to stop and look. Overall ok but won't be going back. Better aquariums for the price.
We ve been here 3 times now with my 5 year old. It's a great day out for all ages. We had a fantastic time. The thrill of seeing a stingray of sawfish up close never diminishes. We came during school hours so it was pretty quiet except for the odd school trip. The staff were very engaging and obviously enthused. With the annual pass, there is no excuse not to stop by even for 30 mins.
Such huge fish and rays and lots of information :-)
Excellent. Staff are really informative, excellent attitude and customer service. Plenty of education about conservation, natural habitats and biology for all ages. Repeat visits for free for a year after purchasing ticket (other than bank holidays and a few other occasions). Parking available, but small charge so bring change. Allow yourself a few hours for young children, longer for older children. Love how involved The Deep are with the wider community.
It s alright for a day out, probably won t go again. The whole ticket situation is abit silly. I booked online so there should be a seperate queue for people who have booked online because I stood in the ticket queue for about 15-20mins with a bored toddler. The woman at the ticket desk was abit rude trying to say Iv come five mins later than my booking slot, which I didn t because I was actually in the queue for ages. So Yh, staff could be abit politer and understanding and don t offer tickets online if you still have to queue to enter anyway. The gift shop was tiny and and not spacious enough to get a pushchair around and was over crowded. Due to covid you should have something in place to make it more comfortable to get around the gift shop with only so many people at a time. Also the windows of the aquarium and penguin area need to be cleaned regularly as I could see loads of little hand prints and smears over it. During covid this must be done more regularly.
It's ok but smaller than I expected and definitely aimed at kids aged 5+
We frequently go to the Deep as it's such a lovely place for all ages! Highly recommend
Can find a larger variety of fish at local supermarket this is also much cheaper than here, and much more entertaining. i personally wouldn't bother.
Our 8month old loved it. Very exciting exhibits throughout
Loads to see and do, already planning our next visit! Cafe very reasonably priced.
Always great, the staff are friendly and the aquariums are some of the best I've ever seen seen.
Had a lovely afternoon here. All the staff I interacted with were very nice and helpful. I didn't know that your ticket lasts for a year, will be back. I could spend a long time just watching the penguins.
The Deep was a very informative place to visit more than sealife scarborough, loads of different fish even creapy crawlies!
Not a Big one.. Will keep you occupied for half a day.
Excellent place. Perfect for a day out. Great value for money, so much to see!
Good place for the kids and quite cheap if you book online
We had a fantastic time at this aquarium today. My little boy turns 6 tomorrow and he loves learning about the ocean so this was his birthday treat. He was given a birthday sticker and the kind staff made a fuss of him at various points.
Everyone was so knowledgeable and great with the kids, we all learnt lots and had fun thanks to the various sessions on offer. The huge tanks really were beautiful and well kept, I could have sat looking at them all day! There was also other interesting creatures such as frogs, ants and penguins to see. We went to most of the talks spending 5 and a half hours without loosing interest.
The cafe was lovely, very tasty sandwiches and the warm food looked delicious. It wasn't cheap but it certainly wasn't overpriced and it was nice that the message of caring for the environment was seen throughout. We will definitely come back and would recommend it to others.
Great place to learn about the sea and things that live in it
A great place to have a day out... kids will love it and it's a brilliant experience it takes 1-2hrs to get around and gets busy from 11am to 3pm
Pre-book online to make small saving and tickets allow free readmission for 12 months!
My Grandson & I love visiting the Deep, it's a great place to go when the weather outside is miserable. We love watching the Turtles, Sharks & Stingrays in the large aquarium & of course we couldn't visit without stopping off to watch the Penguins being fed or playing in & out of the water
We had a 10am slot and I'm a person who has been very anxious whilst shopping during lockdown and was anxious about this visit . No need I felt perfectly safe . Hand sanitizers at every turn and the arrangrment they had made for the toilets was so well thought out .I was completely at ease. We had a lovely, stress free , morning in an amazing place . Thankyou to everyone that works there you did a great job.
Well worth trip 3rd time going this year always updating and free years worth ticket for single admittance well worth it
Loved this visit with small grandchildren. Electric scooter provided free for me and enough to keep us all fascinated, mesmerised, active, interested and impressed for most of the day. Good cafe and shop. The lift ride through 3 layers from the deep to the surface was particularly memorable. Can't wait to go again.
Went there a year or two ago and absolutely loved it. While we were there, a couple of divers were in the main tank with the sharks amongst other things! For a kid of 50+ I thoroughly enjoyed the time there. Even better now that you can get a taster by taking the Virtual Tour provide by Google Business Photography!
Nice aquarium good for the kids. Would recommend if in the area.
Amazing day out I'd great for a walk around with so much to see you can't help but enjoy your self and with such a large number of different things to enjoy .
If you can avoid it dont go in School Holidays,
But well worth a visit
Great family day out food really nice staff all very friendly oh and the fish were fantastic
We like this aquarium because it's a bit different. While it's still based on the concept of one or two big tanks with differing views, this really focuses on the depth of the main tank. You get various great views of differing sea life as you go down. Great value visit!
We went on a very busy day so a wee bit stressful but lots of fun too
Great place to visit. 2hrs drive but well worth it. Try to arrive early as it gets busy and make a day of it.
Plenty to see, interactive stuff to do to, plenty of toilets, picnic areas, several cafes
Great cheap day out with a free full years pass included in the price lots of fish and info on various aquatic life very friendly staff disabled friendly all way around the building they also have mobility scooters available to help you get round if you struggle walking like i do makes viewing and enjoying yourself so much better
