All good, but we went while a school trip was on! My worst nightmare!
Spot on. Could maybe do with better lighting in the main tank.
Excellent facility for those who love anything to do with sea and its many inhabitants, has availability for group tours as well as individual exploration, keeps things fresh with exhibits like the penguins and the seals and seasonal events or new species of animal on view from time to time, has a very nice cafe upon exit on top level with lovely views out over the river and a big gift shop near to the main entrance, great for families, organized groups and school trips etc, well worth a look and a place you can return again and again
Great place to pass a few hours. Amazing fish and plenty of information available. Plus the added bonus of free repeat visits for a whole year
Enjoyed our visit to the Deep, very, very crowded during school holidays.
Awesome place with some surprising attractions. Everything is very clean and all of the tanks and other displays are very well done and cared for.
The ant colony and the other land based creature attractions are a good idea as it breaks up the constant looking in tanks. The penguins are cool too.
Food is nice and not stupidly priced like some places like this, the souvenir shop is well stocked and has something for everyone.
Get there 15mins before it opens though, as the queue outside gets rather large, we did go in the school holidays though.
Overall, thoroughly recommended.
It is amazing! You must come to see that fascinating place.
First time visiting, always wanted to go. Very very hyped only to be kinda disappointed to be honest. I feel like there's not much there. I was expecting much much more. Nice few hours out though.
My little lad loves this place, I love the fact you pay once and can return multiple times a year, the fish a great and the displays are interesting, but broken ones need repair or replacing faster.
Excellent visit. Good information. Very noisy particularly with children too small to understand. Not cheap and cafe limlted
Visited whilst on a break in Lincoln, and this is really a great place to go. Very well designed, and lots to see and do, great especially for children. The large tank that was built first, appears on each of the floors, and the final lift out, takes you up and through it. Plus, you have to see the penguins . Well worth the admission price. Enjoy.
Great place to take the kids. Amazing sea life in the really large tanks.
Pay and do the gift aid thing and you get an annual pass for free!
A great few hours. Ensure to make the most of it and read everything/see everything. They put on kids shows on the way round in various places. Very well laid out routes and plenty to see however the que to get in is generally big with no outdoor cover/shelter so take a Brolly if you see fit. You do however get offered a free return journey on your next visit. We booked online in advance so do check this availability. Note booking online and pre purchase tickets does not allow any kind of que jump. The aquariums and penguins are awesome. I won't spoil it but the elavator and stairs exit sum up a lot at the end. You access these through a glass tunnel where sharks surround you overhead! You will see nature that you have never witnessed before!
Recommend this place, it's great for kids and adults.
Nice place. If it had more tanks with more fishes it would be great. Plus it has a space for kids to play.
Brill day little one loved it food was spot on too in the cafe.
Beautiful experience. Worth a visit. I highly recommend it!
Good place! Very busy on a weekend. Had to que to get in couldnt get close to the aquariums due to volume of people. Not idea with a pushchair.. no baby changing signs near toilets so used disabled and some got a snotty remark of a member of staff (maybe if there was a baby changing sign on door to toilets we wouldnt of gone in there) or it made clearer that toilets only to be used for disabled people!!
Expected a little more from it after seeing adverts
Clean. Helpful staff. Lots for all ages. My kids and grandkids love going there.
Small but lost to do.can get extreamly busy.love the year visitors pass.
Super experience. We were allowed to wait inside out the cold in an activity room off the shop while my partner waited in the queue.
I've simply been amazed by all of the different animals. One day I'll come back there or maybe even next week
Much improved since last time. That's my youngest daughter first time here and she's completely mesmerized. Deserves five stars plus one extra for the staff here.
All I can say is that I love this place. The crew are great and the exhibits are 1st class.
Brilliant place brilliant staff kids and adults loved it amazing
Great family day out and the annual reusable tickets are a great idea
Good, apart from the restraunt, which was pricey and poor quality.
It's OK at best. The gift shop was the net thing. Kids were bored very easily in here.
Expensive and can go round it within the HR,avoid busy times
The Lagoon of Light at feeding time was a treat but my personal favourite was the jellies!
love the fact that you can buy a ticket and come back for free all year, you can also bring your own pack lunch . if you live out of town and don't think you'll be coming back you can also donate your ticket at the front desk.
Was free as only went to the restaurant and viewing area.
Well worth a day trip out with the kid. A little expensive but wort h it.
The deep is an amazing educational place however I wouldn't say it's pram or wheelchair friendly when it's busy. We got stuck in a lift and although other people shouldn't effect my review, you can't escape them. 45 mins queing outside to get in. Check their Facebook before going for useful information like that. It really takes away from the experience.
It was fab.. Lovely exhibits and we attended by the staff
Nice place but try and pick a quiet time so you can get to the interactive parts.
The Deep was a very fun experience for our family. I have two children under 4 and they both loved it. All the exhibits are interactive with lots of buttons to push and flaps to open. There is the aquatic exhibits are intersperced thought and at each there are shreens where you can pick out a fish and search for more information by answering questions like is the tail long or short? At the bottom there is a large soft play area for kids under 1 m tall. My children had a great time. I would definitely recommend it.
It's alright but once you've been you've been. Nothing fantastic to be honest the free museums in town are far better. The penguins are kept in my opinion in a very small space. We went peak time if you want the lift back to exit it is the More
one of the best aquarium's we have been to- here and abroad- good value for money, good food in cafe and not expensive. great displays and informative. staff are friendly and know their stuff too. definitely would recommend!
Lovely aquarium, makes a change from sea life. Thought it was bigger than it is so thought would take longer to get round but probably worked in our favour and little one still had fun. Entry ticket can be converted to annual pass free of charge which is a bonus. We arrived at 11.30am and it was SO busy. The queue was a good 150m from the door so we went and had lunch and returned about 2pm where we walked straight in. Enclosures seemed clean, animals appeared well looked after. Staff seemed friendly and engaging.
3rd time I've been now and the work they do here for conservation is amazing, definitely worth the 250mile round trip
Another good visit. Very busy the last time I went but my kids love it.
Excellent place to go with kids. I have been here with kids and it was really amazing to see such beautiful sea creatures so closely.
Love this place would recommend a visit with the kids.
staff were excellent with the kids and answered all questions I had
Fab place for any age. Downside is queueing for the glass lift but worth it.
Totally loved this place, i went with my grandson and daughter who also loved it, there was the odd interactive exhibits that didn't work but this didn't spoil anything. A good couple of hours that was totally worth it.
Very enjoyable however you can get through this is about 30 mins... Not only that.. The final elevater always has a que and so if you have a pram your in for a lon wait
Nice place for a couple hours and ideal of weather's bad. Food is okay there too.
Love it, kids find it interesting, its just over too quickly thou. Pay once and go back for free over 12months is brilliant.
Great Place so much variety great place for a school trip or birthday party
Very good variety of fish and inverts. Very busy when kids are off school. Very knowlagable staff.
Great time and amazing sea creatures, recommend for everyone.
This was an amazing day out. We loved looking around at all the different sea life creatures.
Yearly ticket makes it extremely good value, fantastic exhibits, children love it.
Good place, just feel it needs more attractions now
