Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Really interesting and thought provoking. Great for kids of all ages. Especially enjoyed the free veteran's entry. Leaving with our recyclable metal straws. Will definitely come again.

Thoroughly enjoyed a family day out here, not the best aquarium I have ever been too however their focus on saving the sea and the environment was very refreshing to see and for my children to learn would recommend to anyone fairly local to Hull.

The acoustics here are such that it is a very, loud, noisy place. Much of the exhibition space is also quite dark. These factors can be quite intimidating for small children who also have to be lifted up to see many of the exhibits.

The main aquarium is very impressive and features such as the ice wall and the temperature globe were very popular with our children.

Overall it is somewhere I cannot recommend for small children but I am sure it is a wholly more enjoyable experience for the older ones.

All the staff were extremely helpful.

The tour were simple to follow around - so much to see and learn. Amazing for all ages. Fish were well looked after in large tanks. Food in the cafe is all home made and delicious, not too expensive either. I've visited a few times when it's been a rainy day outside and everytime I've thoroughly enjoyed. Also - great pushchair access all round.

Came on a bank holiday weekend so faced the large que for entry! Around 45 minutes to get in, 30 of which was in rain.
The aquarium is good we spent around 1 hour 30 minutes inside.
The displays are clean and spacious so everyone gets to see.

Definitely worth visiting, definitely something you have to do with young children. There is one massive tank, which was very impressive. We bought a yearly pass for the same price as a normal entry ticket

For a facility of that size and cost too build we would ve expected a better place. The idea of pay once and get in the rest of the year for free is a bit strange this could ve of been set differently to help raise money all though they are making some money back in the cafe. This way they could improve other areas and get more visitors.

No doubt the best aquarium I've visited. Excellent variety of exhibits, respect to the emphasis on understanding and learning to love our oceans before impressing why they need our help. Incredible value - one ticket for a whole year costs less than one visit to Sea Life. If you love aquatics, go here. Actually, if you don't love aquatics, go here and learn why you should.

Excellent day out. Took my kids who are 7 and 2, both enjoyed their day. Will be going back again soon. You also have the added bonus that you can go back for free as many times in 12 months as you like, will take full advantage of that (you can donate to charity if you wish)

I can see why this is listed as the Biggest aquarium and not the best, they have three large but disappointing tanks with not a lot going on, we traveled half way across the country for one of the weakest experiences to date, all this being said the staff working their are great, knowledgeable and extremely helpful it s just a shame that Glen from the management doesn t appreciate constructive feed back and was very short and rude with us, so to recap aquarium is med tier, the staff are great and Glen is unbelievably rude.

Love the day pass plus tickets, online tickets were easy to do, straight forward. Parking machine outside only takes coins which you'll need to take into consideration, as we thought it would take card payments. But The Deep was really big and easily accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. The divers waved to my son and he really loved it!! The daily shows were fabulous, clearly spoken which meant everyone could clearly hear what was going. Big cafe so there is always plenty of seating. The sea life is amazing, so worth the trip!

Not my first visit, though I haven't been in a while. There are some new exhibits on the way, looks like. In the tunnel a member of the crew (didn't catch her name but had bright blue hair) pointed out to us that one of the nurse sharks had an egg ready to lay. We were lucky enough to catch that happening whilst we were viewing through the stair windows. Kind of an amazing thing to see! We caught the penguins being fed too, they have so much personality, ace to watch. Learned a little something about their breeding habits thanks to a staff member presentation whilst the feeding was happening.
Another feature that has popped up since my last visit are the glances behind the scenes of the deep. Interesting stuff.
My one tiny complaint...halfway cafe was closed and I would have loved a hot drink, but no biggy. we got one from the main cafe on the way out.
Had a nice afternoon. Friendly knowledgeable staff and interesting exhibits, thank you
