I've always been a lover of the deep. Since having my son ive visited the Deep a lot more. He loves seeing all the sharks and nemo and Dory. Every time we visit his little face lights up. Very impressed with the selection of sea creatures there :)

Amazing sights with a variety of enclosures and special features such as a touch pool where you can touch creatures and get information on them. We only purchased tickets for the day and got told that we could register for the year at no extra cost. Theres a cafe there which serves nice food. Great day out.

It was a pretty disappointing visit. The interpretation boards are poor, and the lighting makes them difficult to read at the best of times. Most of the interactive elements were either broken or no working properly. It's a shame, for something that looks so new from the outside- it really hasn't stood the test of time! Given that Hull has the City of Culture this year, it would have been the best opportunity to have a proper overhaul of the museum.

Fantastic building from the outside. Very informative with plenty of information about the sea and the fish. The large aqua pool is impressive. Definitely keeps both kids and adults entertained for a few hours.

This place was great when I first went, which was about 15 years ago now.
Starting to look a little dated, and one of the areas had quite a few dead fish in. With a staff member not really caring and more bothered about ensuring we were wearing a mask.

It's a pity, as apart from this, the kids loved the time there and already asked to go back.

it has been a while since we have been here, but it is still a beautiful aquarium where you can see various sealife scenes, if I am not mistaken this is a low profit agency that does its best to maintain everything, we were only 1 day in hull but this was definitely worth it. unfortunately it rained all day but here we were dry.

After reading all the reviews and seeing how people thought there was a lack of the 'wow factor', I went with an open mind and embarked upon the 120 mile journey there. My kids ages are 9 months, 2, 4, 5 & 11 years old. The place was very easy to find and access with a double pram was very easy throughout. From beginning to end this was a very joyful experience for all my family. My kids learnt more here than they have ever done at other sea life centres. There was ample room for them to move around and run freely and the displays were mesmerising. All announcements were clear and staff were visible and very informative. The real bonus is we can all go back as many times as we want for the next 12 months and not have to pay entry fees again. A thoroughly nice day out.
If you want the 'wow factor', then visit the sea life centres in America and spend thousands. If you want to educate your kids and have fun at the same time without breaking the bank, this place is definitely worth a visit.

A well run place staffed by friendly and helpful people. The penguins and turtles were in top form. We have not been for several years but it certainly was worth going back. It was very busy so it shows it has not lost its popularity.

Fantastic day out! We visited very recently with our 15mo old daughter and she loved it. It was a pretty quiet day so she thoroughly enjoyed having plenty of space to run around and explore, discovering all of the tanks. It's brilliant value for a day out, made even better by the fact that you can come back as many times as you like within 12mo

Good aquarium with lots of different attractions and educational things to learn about.

Was very busy in half term around 90 mins to get in which had a knock on effect of our experience as some attractions were just too busy to enjoy.

Organised evening visit for a society meeting. Superb organisation brought everyone together for a wine reception in the observatory via a glass lift. Then down to the lagoon for a fascinating illustrated talk. Then to two rivers for a meal by the fishes. Very impressed by all. Delicious meal, beautiful site. Well done to all.

Amazing aquarium, with brilliant displays and fun, interactive learning. Friendly, helpful staff. The cafeteria sells no-frills but tasty meals, with sandwiches etc also available. We spent a whole afternoon there, and would definitely visit again if we're in the area. The day-pass can be converted to a year-pass at no extra cost!!!

great and wonderful oceanarium. several levels of viewing the aquarium, underwater tunnel and glass elevator which goes from the bottom of the aquarium up several floors. I liked the penguins where you could admire them as well as on the surface and underwater where you could enjoy their fun

Took my Son (10 Months) - Tickets/Food/Parking are rather pricey (Although tickets are valid for a whole year)!
My boy didn t have much to do, the play are is very small with many older kids jumping about. He did enjoy looking into the tanks though! I enjoyed myself, although it was a little busy and I was pushed out of the way a few times.. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the animals kept there!

Stunning excitement and lots to learn about, enjoy and play with. Loved the Finderella performance!
Only downside is absolutely horrific food. My Mrs found 2 hairs in her pasta and my fish n chips was more like Pi** and Sh**!

Excellent place been a couple of times with disabled elderly parent. Lift wasn't working 2nd time so we were taken behind the scenes and used a staff lift. Staff was helpful and cheerfully.

Brilliant! Well worth every penny of the visit. Especially when you gift aid the ticket. You can return anytime in the following 12 months for free!

The Deep really under-sells itself on their website. You really couldn't take in the entire experience in 2 hours.

My photograph does not do this exhibit justice.

We went to The Deep after Christmas before New Year 2016. I've been once before about 10 years ago. It was disappointing as it was exactly how I remembered it a decade earlier. Certain parts of the complex were sectioned off as they were under renovation, however me, my daughter and my son still thought it was ok. The yearly pass is good as we'll be going again maybe in the summer, however if it was a case of paying again I'd give it a miss. All in all it was just OK, I was expecting better in all honesty though.

Came for an application for work experience. They handled it efficiently and gave me the needed information in less than 5 minutes. However they are very full and it is likely they will not have any places available for quite a while now
