Location was good. Not far from many restaurants/bars and other cool hangouts. The room was pretty decent. You could hear the outside noise ( motorcycles/sirens, etc.) but that's to be expected in the city. The toilet has issues with flushing and the shower was clogged, but it was otherwise a good room for the price.

Although this may or may not be particularly norma...

Although this may or may not be particularly normal, my experience at this hotel was horrendous.

When we got to the hotel at around 8 a.m., everything went as expected, so we left the car to the valet and went into the city for a while. When 3 o'clock came around, we came back to the hotel to check in and that's the beginning of the train wreck of a stay. While we were checking in, the lady at the front desk asked us if we wanted one queen sized bed or two, and we said we reserved a deluxe room with one king sized bed. So she finished the check in and when we went up to our room, she had given us a basic room with two queen sized beds. We then went back downstairs and told her that she checked us into a room that we did not reserve or want. She then blamed us for telling her the wrong room instead of apologizing, and then she corrected the issue. So we put our bags into the correct room this time and left the hotel to continue exploring Atlanta.

Later that night, we came back to the hotel and we went our room and went to sleep. At 1:30 a.m., we were awoken from a deep sleep by other guests who were jerking the door handle and slamming furiously on the door. We then tried to go back to sleep but then received knocking on the door again. I looked into the peephole of the door and saw that hotel security was outside this time. So I opened the door and was told that we both have to come downstairs to confirm our identities and our reservations. Almost 2 a.m. at this point and wanting to get this night over with just so that we can leave in the morning, we come downstairs just to find out that the booked other guests into the room we were currently sleeping in and needed us to prove that we were supposed to be in the room. We did everything we had to do to prove that we were rightfully staying guests and the man at the desk (who was apologetic and helpful) offered us a bottle of wine, breakfast vouchers (breakfast was not included with our stay), and he told me that he would refund the valet fee. We said okay to this and finally went back upstairs, just to find out that our room keys had been deactivated. So it is about 2:20 a.m. now and I finally get up to the desk to tell him that now our keys are not working so he resolved the issue and I asked if I could have a refund on the points that we used to book the hotel, which he said would have to go through IHG (the hotel group of the Crowne Plaza, among others) directly for that. So after an hour of being woken up, we were finally able to get back into our room and go to sleep.

The breakfast the next morning was actually probably the best part of the entire stay for me. Today (three days after leaving Atlanta), I checked my card's account to find out that the $30 valet fee still had not been reimbursed, and so it took me five calls to finally be able to speak to a supervisor who resolved the issue.

Again, my stay could be an outlier compared to other stays, but if it happens once, it can just as easily happen again.

Other than that, the bathroom did not have any ventilation (as in, no vents in the bathroom period, not as in non-functioning) and there was not a refrigerator in the room.

I know that I will never stay at this hotel again if I ever return to Atlanta.

I loved the amenities in the lobby. The rooms were nice. I didn't smell smoke in the hallways. Everything was kosher. The only thing is don't wait till the last minute to get your car from valet.

Attended a social event at the Crowne Plaza Midtown. The rooftop pool was beautiful. The food that was provided for the event was okay. The bartender was very friendly and was probably the best part of my visit.

The hotel is rooms and building are nice and the service has been good. The hotel took forever to check us in even though it was past 3 pm. Came in with a big group and they gave us a sassy attitude about it not being 3 when we initially arrived but by the time we were back from lunch, still no effort to have our rooms ready but allow other guests to check in while we waited in the lobby. The internet is one of those 3rd party providers which is horrendous!! Can't download anything

Breakfast extremely mediocre for the price. I understandt he hotel has to make a profit but I walked out of their restaurant feeling like I got ripped off. I didn't get my eggs cooked the way I had asked, waitress never once checked to see if we were satisfied, and I must say, in my fifty years of life, I never only received 1 piece of bread with an order of toast. For the pricet they charge, I should at least received 2 pieces of toast with my breakfast.

Update: I called the number provided and it went to the front desk. After I explained who I was and that someone responded to a review I posted and wanted to speak with me further about it, she didn't know who to transfer my call to....hmmm.

Had a very expensive purse stolen out of our room a few months ago. We knew something was wrong when we returned to the room and the towels had been changed out even though we had requested no housekeeping. The director of housekeeping was the only vaguely helpful person in the whole ordeal and helped us file the police report. We were not fully reimbursed for our room. I have waited to write this review as I have periodically checked in with the hotel asking for updates and I have never had a manager or the security director call me back like I have requested. I doubt my messages are being passed on. When I received my copy of the police report in the mail I found out that the security footage was not helpful and the room access information had been wiped for the whole day, which implicates someone working in the hotel. The followup (or lack thereof) from the hotel was incredibly inappropriate and low-effort considering the purse cost more than our two-night stay there. Serious security issues with this hotel.

This is a beautiful place. Our room was very nice The View was wonderful. There was shopping within walking distance. The front desk was very accommodating and very friendly. The the valet parking was excellent and the man that helped with our luggage was very fast and very good. The only trouble we had was the maid service putting stuff in our room or bringing stuff that they forgot. I would have given them a five except for the maid service. The room was very clean we just needed towels and shampoos and replacement coffee that never came. When I asked the maid in the hallway she even gave me extra she was very nice. I would be happy to come back and stay again. We went to a big wedding there with three sit-down meals everything was excellent. I love Atlanta, and this place is right across the street from the varsity which makes it even better. Shannon

Loved the rooms, they are spacious. Room was clean, staff was friendly. We were able to get late check out as well. The only thing I didn't like was the parking was 30 dollars a night. My room was only 78. Dollars through priceline. Why would parking be half price for room?

I was excited about attending a special event at the Crowne Plaza in Atlanta. Imagine my dismay when we learned upon arrival that the air condition unit was not functioning properly. In addition the valet was full and the attendants were rude when asked where the alternative parking was located. I had great expectations for the Crowne, but was let down. Marriott and Sheraton brands in Atlanta are the way to go for events where you want to make a memorable impression.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - BOOK DOWNTOWN ATLANTA! ...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - BOOK DOWNTOWN ATLANTA! This was the WORST hotel experience I have had. We arrive Friday evening - The lobby and outside the lobby smell like marijuana. The valet was full and the hotel has NO AC. We were understanding of the No AC issue as that is out of their control. However, by night 2 of our stay, the room was still over 78 degrees. When we arrived back to our room on night 2 from a day of site seeing - it reeked of marijuana. When I went to the front desk to inquire about the lack of ac and the stench, they sent security up and we switched rooms. After the Front Desk addressed the issue, they assured me that I would be compensated for the room. I have YET to get anyone on on the phone. The front desk staffed seemed disorganized, the valet smelled so much of marijuana that my car smelled of it after sitting in out front for 15 minutes. If I had to do it over again, I would have paid the extra $75/night and stayed at the OMNI hotel. I will never stay at Crown Plaza again.

First, the air did not work in my room. I called front desk and they never sent anyone up until I was packing up to leave. I stayed all night in a room soaking in sweat. Also, I booked through a third party and there was no mention of a pet fee. I was charged $75 for a service animal that always travels with me. I have stayed here before and never been charged that fee. When I questioned it, the attendant became very condescending when she told me that the fee applied to service animals and if I couldn t afford the fee to talk to the supervisor. I ve attempted to talk to the supervisor a few times about my stay in general and they are never in or available when I call. I do not mind to pay the fee but it should have been listed as an expense when the room was booked. This is misleading to advertise pet friendly and not mention a fee until it was time to check out of the hotel. Deceptive business practices, rude staff, poor maintenance, and no one ever there to talk to about a problem. I would give them a half star if it were an option.

I don't hate the place, but I am not in love with it. As soon as I get in my room, and employee walks right in and immediately apologizes, and said that she didn't know someone was already in. A few hours later I was in the shower and another employee tries to come in my room. Thank goodness I had the top lock set so they couldn't get in! I still have 5 days remaining here, so hopefully it will improve.

Update: I had to change the rating from 3 stars to 2. The elevators are terrible here. You should not have to wait several minutes for an elevator from the lobby. I would have to plan out my 20 minute breaks from my conference because I knew that just using the elevator to get to my room and back could take up to 10 of those minutes. I really can't recommend this place to anyone.

The lobby is beautiful with lots of areas to relax and visit with friends or family. We had a few small issues that were cleared up by the floor manager. Other than that it was a great place to stay the built in gym on the 3rd floor was awesome. I have used Crowne Plaza for years but took a hiatus for a bit and now i look forward for my next stay.

Very nice and clean and smoke free. A bit expensive but you get what you pay for. Parking is ridiculous and you walk forever to get to the parking deck and then you find out it's 15.00 each day what a rip off when you are traveling with a very sick cancer patient.... Just sad

Hello we have contacted the front desk as our AC unit is not working properly at the Atlanta Midtown Crowne Plaza and asked for fans to be blown off four times in a row. It is currently a 100F in Atlanta and feels like that in our room. Your customer service reps have been of no help and we refuse to pay what we are being charged for our room due to poor health conditions in the room. I feel that we should be accommodated somehow for the misery we have gone through on our stay and if not I have no problem reporting the health conditions to the state due to the extreme heat index in Atlanta and will NOT be staying with this establishment EVER again due to poor conditions of the property and poor service received on this matter. If this is not resolved promptly I will revoke my payment and stay to stay at another establishment other than the IHG Group.

The Plaza was great for the event I attended on the 25th floor. Food choices were nice, and the venue was spacious. Only downside was the sun setting, and because the blinds were not closed, some attendees had the light shining in their faces. Employees were very amicable!

I had to book a room due to ice/snow and unable to get home from the aiport. I took Marta to this hotel so I didnt have to drive. Lakisha at the front counter was INCREDIBLE! Due to the weather, the majority of her cleaning crew called off and only had 2 or 3 people cleaning rooms, plus many customers who were not happy. She handled everyone and everything with immaculate attention to detail and was so considerate when helping them. She had been working there since 9pm the day before, so she was also due for a rest! She somehow made the delay in rooms being ready a pleasant experience! The room was clean and the other people were friendly as well!

There was WET vomit in our room. We noticed Sheila and she immediately put us in another room. We stayed on the 14th floor and there were empty bottles of water and paper on the hallway floor. The housekeeping staff kept walking over the trash in the middle of the floor. There was a total lack effort on their part to clean. The furniture was marked up with crayons, old toys, and decor. We are a family of 4 and were only given a 2 wash cloths/towels. When I asked for more I was given 2 pool towels. Security was lazy as there were people hanging out at the parking garage. The breezeway to get to the parking garage is dirty, old and smelly. IHG would really be ashamed of the entire hotel. I expected so much more of this place. Even in the middle of a pandemic CLEANLINESS IS PARAMOUNT!

The room smelled as soon as we walked in. Although the balcony was locked and could not be accessed, there was trash on the balcony as if they forgot to clean the balcony before locking the sliding door. I requested a room that was handicap accessible, I noted it in my booking through Expedia as well as called the hotel prior to check-in to confirm this would be available. After checking-in, I was told the only room they had available during my stay was the room I was in, which was a regular room with king sized bed. The room was too small and nothing like I expected. I had the hardest time maneuvering around the room since it was not what I requested and too small. The only reason I am giving them three stars is because the pool, view from the pool and staff was nice . I will not be returning back to this location and I recommend this to be your last resort.

Would not recommend this to anyone. Hotel was overcrowded. There were people partying all night outside my room in the hallway. Hotel management allowed these people to hangout in the hallway disturbing all the other guests. Could not sleep with people screaming and talking loudly just outside my room. Had to checkout at 2 AM, worst hotel ever.

Pretty isolated from Everything! You can't walk to a pharmacy, a department store, or really any sort of restaurant very easily from this place. If you stay here, Uber should be your best friend. Don't try to walk to the area that's more populated with restaurants over by Hard Rock Cafe some kind of seedy locations between point A and point B.

I was at the Crowne Plaza for a wedding. Parking is a bit of a hassle with valet getting backed up after the event and self parking being around the corner since it's a downtown urban hotel. Ballrooms are nice and staff was attentive for the event that was held there.

My wife and I booked here for a weekend get away. First night was good as we arrived on Saturday. The street racing and loud music outside was pretty bad and we were on the 15th floor and can clearly hear the noise. The window was very drafty and loose. The carpet was heavily stained. Sunday we were in need of towels to shower and dry off. It took exactly 4 hours and 22 minutes to receive towels . This is after calling down stairs twice to ask may we have towels to shower. My wife eventually had to go down stairs to the front desk to retrieve towels. Monday after doing a few tours for the day we arrived back to the hotel at 3:30 pm I stopped by the front desk and asked for towels before we proceed to our room the front desk clerk said she didn t have any and that she would have some sent directly up. After 2 hours had passed I called the front desk the young lady answered the phone and I began to explain that we had been waiting on towels for 2 hours she stated ok and hung the phone up with out saying another word. We received towels at 8:45 pm finally. I typically don t do this but I felt it necessary. We were going to stay another night but with the poor service received we opted to not spend any more of our hard earned money at this hotel. I feel that your staff needs additional training or even additional help to meet the expectations and standards of your guest. Someone needs to address these issues as your competitors are doing a better job than this facility.

Reserved room At Crowne plaza Midtown to enjoy beautiful weather and evening swim. Only to find outdoor pool on 4th floor was closed for private party (Tall man by the name of Sam told my family and I this on his way out to crowded pool deck on Saturday evening after dinner)
When I went to front desk, Pierre told me that pool was closed and nobody should have been out there.I have photos of 15-20 people at the pool getting food delivered to their personal party They let the food in, but not us. Our cards gave us the green light when trying to enter the pool, but doors stayed locked. I m sure employees run this hotel, NOT corporate. Classic ATL Hustle.

There was a bag of garbage outside our room overnight and was still present when we checked out. Then I had paid for a package that included breakfast, and not just the free continental breakfast. We waited to be seated, per the sign, but were not acknowledged for over 5 minutes. We finally just entered on our own and helped ourselves to the free options. When other guests came in, they were offered menus with much nicer options. We left the breakfast table after eating, having never been acknowledged by the servers. We didn't complain to anyone, only because it was Christmas morning and we didn't want to make anyone else's day unpleasant. No one likes to work on Christmas, I understand this.

The room was ok. There wasn't an ice machine on our floor. There were only two of them on various floors. The elevator was soooooooo small and took forever. There was no complimentary breakfast. The valet service was HORRIBLE. It took 45 minutes for them to finally ackythat I wanted to valet. Then it took over an hour for them to get my car. The person at the desk was so rude when I called about the internet Wi-Fi. The valet upon checking out was again another hour and opened my trunk without no instructions to do so.
