Wonderful experience at Maboneg and sterkfontein caves. Everyone working on both sites are just fantastic and so excited about what they do I'd recommend these places to anyone!

If you leave the bulldust evolution theory out of the area, this surely is a most beautiful environment to see!!

Was pleasantly surprised after entering the "hill" amazing experience for the whole family, reading all the info available to you will take hours if not days, amazing building that hides secrets begging to be explored.
Whole place is air-conditioned inside.

The cave are at a different location but tickets can be bought for the underground guided tour aswell

We did the satellite classic cycle race there was an awesome experience with beautiful scenery

Awesome place. My son can't stop raving about all the animals he saw and he keeps asking when we are going back. Great options for game viewing and there is a great kiosk area for families to go braai, swim and also a great kids play area.

Site of sure cultural interest. Well set up and commented.

Animals is looked after. Nice to see animals happy. Will go again, anytime.

The caves were fantastic. The guides there deserve a five star rating as well.

Looks fascinating-pity about the poor signage and long distance to travel. Lack of decent lighting makes the road at night dangerous.

Very long queues to pet the cubs. I waited more than an hour to be served at the restaurant and still haven't interacted with a waiter! The enclosures for the hedgehog, squirrels and Dassies were pretty tiny and not well planned at all. And R165 for a self drive seems extreme.

Beautiful sites and caves and has lots of things to discover

I accidentally visited on a national strike, they had half their usual staff but were very compensating and the staff were all smiley and friendly. I loved the tour.

A excellent establishment to learn about the earth and how mankind evolved. It is just in need of some maintenance.

Amazing experience for the entire family, there are things that kids and all ages can be engaged

Amazing experience. Our group of high school girls could have spent another week there. Loved the interactive displays and the underground boat ride was a blast!

An educational place on the origins of humanity good for children

Awesome spot to visit! Make sure you try the water park part it's so fun! If your visiting the caves don't do it if you have weak knees get short of breath are unfit or scared of tight spots

Very nice and informative visit. Enjoyed the boat ride the most. A definite visit with young kids.

Wow, what an epic experience. I was blown away with the entire place from start to finish. The Walk to Freedom is EXCELLENCE in itself. What a life sized experience paying homage to the Greats of our time. The tour was amazing and everything about it allows for entire families to enjoy it together. A wealth of knowledge and the upkeep of the place is absolutely on par as well as all that work there. Thank you for such an awesome place.

This one is amazing and not be missed for sure. Get to know about the human evoltution the interactive way. Overall structure and the way it is built is so good. Very informative and interactive. Don't rush to see what next, give time to each and every exhibit, read about it as every exhibit is full of information.

The museum is disappointing: probably interesting for school groups or teenagers.

The museum was a very nice surprise. Both content and interactive desks make it nice and fun to learn more about our ancesters. Great for kids too.

Very interesting tour that needs to be slower to give tourists a chance to read and absorb the quantity of information. The cave tour is such fun, literally cool, and amazing to behold!

Pack the family and head out on a road trip to remember. Amazing place to visit for the day or the weekend. Lots of things to do or just drive and enjoy the amazing scenery.

Just WOW!!! What an unbelievable experience!!! We spent at least 1 hour going through the life size bronze statutes that represent the WALK TO FREEDOM.
The museum itself is again something unbelievable...

A brilliant museum, totally immersive with fascinating dioramas, displays and activities. It really made the story of humankind's origins exciting and memorable. The museum guides and staff are incredibly knowledgeable and able to convey the facts in an accessible and fun way. I will definitely return.

Interesting building and content on the history of our species, very interactive for kids and teens

The new sculpture garden outside the main entrance is an absolute must-see. (And it's free.)

Museum is a lot of fun, with great exhibits and descriptions.

Came back with a spider bite. Please be careful I was wearing long pants and closed shoes. 8 weeks of horror healing.
