Check out iRide leeuwenkloof training facilities. Truly amazing
Informative and well presented. Lots of interactive activities.
Everything was clean.. staff were well trained.
Very interesting site.
Nice family outing. Worth the drive.
But buy 2 tickets so it covers the caves aswel...
Excellent day out. Very informative. Worth the road trip
A center of excellence for interactive activities and provides rich information on the stages of human development in the African continent and its civilization ... Attracted the attention of educational bodies to conduct and coordinate visits to school students and linking young people, especially their history.
Caves are a good place to visit and has good info about human evolution !If you are into evolution and history - A definite Visit
This was the most fascinating visit. The exhibits were really interesting, particularly the information about the Naledi finds. Some benches to sit down to read the displays would have been welcomed. Some of the information on the glad in front of an exhibit was v difficult to read
Close to Johannesburg & a great place to see plenty of game if you don't have much time. Braai facilities, Restaurant & Chalets make this s great weekend getaway in the Cradle of Humankind!!! We went as a family & a lovely adventure for my grandchildren to get them away into the Beautiful countryside!!! Not forgetting the Wonder Cave!!!
Interesting museum about the cradle of human kind and evolution. It is quite costly though. There is an option to get a combo ticket that includes a visit to the Sterkfontein caves.
Good tourist attraction. Alot to see in the area, especially per bike
Very well presented, informative and worth the visit.
Absolutely breath taking scenery. Great for family outings as well as couples. There are a number of things to do, while learning about our heritage and cultures.
Was really great to see so many animals roaming freely. A good second option if you can't get to Kruger National Park.
Really interesting exhibits with lots of info and a spectacular boat ride inside the museum
The Tourguide actually knew what she was talking about and the food was well preped.
Time to encounter the first hominids that visited our side of Africa. Welcome home.
A beautiful part of the world! Modest from the outside, welcoming you into an absolute gem! You begin with a water ride, introducing you to the elements. Then you step into the exhibition with detailed explanations, models, artifacts and interactive games. There is a restaurant and souvey shop on site. Don't get confused! The museum and caves are in different locations- about a 10km drive from each other. There are options to either see both or just the one (I recommend both ;)
If you gave not been here get time nature at its best
It was a great and relaxing experience. But i think it will be even more relaxing with a tv in the room.
Been here a few times over the years. Great experience and great to see that they are adding new exhibits and making it more interesting :)
The place is quite informative and the tour starts with a boat ride that ups the fun factor. As a museum, it does have it all. Exhibits that you can interact with (unlike some museums which are permanently on do not touch this ever!!! mode). The place has a nice restaurant with a beautiful view of the landscape.
What an amazing experience, lots of info and unexpected surprises. Felt like a little kid. Tour guide was exceptional, job well done.
Awesome experience. Great place to picnic or braai lots for the kids to do and see. Nice 4x4 trails and wildlife viewing. There are a few reasons I didn't go 5 stars but will keep that to myself.
Enjoyed the ven
ue & food, good vibe. Only thing was the price Entrance fee R240 - too expensive.
The Almost Human exhibit was very interesting. The boat ride was fun, even for an adult. The other exhibits were interesting and good fun.
Ended up doing the walking trail. Got lost the first attempt since the trail isn t marked very well part way through and ended up in the parking lot.
Food was good too.
All in all a good time.
Always a pleasure to be in one of the few remaining wild places... Wild Africa is under pressure. Still loving it and hoping man will wise up a bit.
Beautiful and a great place to spend time with family. Also a nice break from the city life.
Open roads with cyclists and strollers... Friendly knowledgeable guides
very nice place for touring out with family and friends....
The boat ride was great, but the rest of the exhibition wasn't very interesting.
Tranquil. Light years away from the jhb rat race. A must.
Not to be missed venue. Funny enough, I have been Joburg for longer than 15 years and I could make it to the cave only now. Several steps to go down and then come up. As well as you need to crawl at few places. Surprise is - there is a lake inside cave and as per the guide no one knows how deep is the lake. Deepest try was 70 feet. Must visit.
Great setting, comfortable large rooms with big beds. Pitty the food let's them down
#niroxpark #letsconnect what a Beautiful setting for outdoor events, enjoyed food and wine
A must see. Lots of photo opportunities. Very well presented and children friendly.
Take a water bottle as there is a lot of walking and only a shop at the start and a restaurant at the end. The restaurant closes at 16:00.
We stayed over at boutique hotel that included a visit to this center and the Sterk fontein caves.
This is a place that was in my list in South Africa! The place where our early human traces were found. The visit to the caves and the area did give us a great perspective to our humankind!
if u have interest to see our past presence of human then it will be good. entertainment wise it will be waste of time. Sterkfontein is enjoyable..
Informative, insightful and interesting. Enjoyed the cave boat ride as well
Every person should visit once. If you want to eat use the restaurant inside the museum
The best place to go when you want to know about your origins
The place is magic but is getting a little run down. And maintenance is being neglected. The animal selection is good and always fun to see the big at the breading center. Overall not a bad day out
What a lovely educational experience. Staff was friendly and the guide knowledgeable which made our visit memorable.
