Very pleasant place with different activities that are organised on site where you will be going through all stage of the human evolution there are even taking pictures with human ancestors and they add your at the end . But if you don't like that you may walk by your self and discover other archeological site and even go to the restaurant that has a great variety of foods and drinks. In short it a good outting place where there a combination of fun and historical knowledge.

Have two sites. Sterkfontein caves where fossils were found: hard to negotiate, dark, 60m below ground, lots of steps to climb on the way back. Not for the weak and faint hearted. Second site is the exhibition centre: well maintained, nice exhibits. Visit to the exhibition centre will be enough for those who do not want to take the physical efforts of exploring the caves. Not enough signs on the road to the Sterkfontein caves. Overall worth a visit.

Great place to take kids to teach them about the origins of mankind. For the adult groups, it can be a bit dreary as none of the fossils are usually kept on-site and the information and activities provided are mainly for kids.

I personally found the Sterkfontein caves, which are a short drive away, to be more historical and fascinating.

I love this place - it broadens one's perspective about the origins of life and the origins of the human species. There are also beautiful views of the Magaliesberg from the restaurant. And the Hotel is well worth staying at for a night or two.

A wonderful area with all kinds of activities, such as hot air balloon ride, hiking, fishing, game farms, Sterkfontein caves - a World heritage site, with limestone rocks where human fossils have been found during archaeological expeditions. Just Google Cradle of humankind to see more fun activities can be had in this area.
