It was an absolute adventure and well worth the entrance fee!!

Lovely drive out of the city. We loved the metal statue exhibition and we found it fascinating. Although we never managed to go to the caves due to time constraints, we found the experience tons of fun.

The place is revealing and makes you get in touch with yourself, the place were life began...

What an out of this world experience. Highly recommend buying the combo ticket to visit both Maropeng and the Sterkfontein Caves together. Take a headlamp along for an even better experience...

Jack the giraffe will resive you at the entrance he is so friendly and loving. The rest is incredibly fun.

Deserves a 5star, in the bundus, no other resorts close by except for one about a kilometre afar. Beautiful mountains. We had rain on our 1st day with very heavy lightning and the place became pitch black as the lightning struck the electricity cables. Apparently, according to one of the quests, it was caused by some misbehaving youngsters, (superstition), wonder how truthful that is, hard to believe ! Still awake 00h03 listening to the animals' sounds in the dark, to the cries of the animals , Jackals? I wonder? , my companion fast asleep. Can't trade this for anything !

Love this place, I do not fear and will definitely come back !

Westrand has this thing about knowing how to take care of visitors and this place is no different.

Very interesting place to visit..truly...humans did not descend from monkeys..a great place to visit.

This was an amazing experience, the kids loved it, the staff were friendly and the exhibits were very interactive...

Very good museum, not very big, suitable for the whole family, especially for school age children to broaden their horizons.

Worth a visit if you are interested in that sort of thing.

My experience was fantastic,I enjoyed the tour and the stuff was very friendly.

Very educational for young kids but a bit childish for older aundiences in somw places. Therw were however really comprehensive and helful exhibits for older people too. The water ride would have been much better with some context (voice over, brochure ect) so its more than just a ride.

This is a great place to visit. Very interesting but many of the exhibits need maintenance.

The statues are an interesting addition to the Maropeng park. Going there did get lost a bit as network reception got a lil bit bad and Google Maps ended up taking us to the middle of nowher. Hopefuly with this review it'll at least help someone from getting lost

The boat ride was fun and frightening at the same time

This museum of the cradle of humanity is very cool to go with children, a knowledge class.

Wonderful celebration of our heritage. Need to support institutions of this sort that celebrate Africa and our origins as mankind

Alot of effort went into showing people humans evolution and I was blown away with all of if!! Really worth a trip!

Incredible museum, especcialy for children/students

They should introduce local guide prices on their food and refreshments. It's not fair to pay a full price when bringing visitors to their sight.

Definitely worth the visit. Recommend eating someplace else, but definitely go for the museum and the caves. Very well worth the money.
