Best place I have been in a long time.. great rooms and even better staff..

GPS took us to the wrong place. Eventually we got here, can somebody get Google maps to get the correct directions.

Relaxed. Informative. The hotel restaurant had very bad service although the reception was great. I had prawns for lunch and unfortunately the meal left a lot to be desired.

Well worth giving this a visit. The tour guides are knowledgeable and the tour through the caves memorable but not too long. Well worth a day trip.

There are so many activities including Hot Air Ballooning, horse trails and restaurants. We had amazing Rhino/Lion Safari it was exciting

If you looking forward to a break in the wild, this is a perfect place to go.

Maropeng, the official visitor centre, is interesting to adults and children. The displays are informative and many allow children to engage and interact. The scenery is beautiful and even if the weather is poor, the outing is pleasant.
Sadly, the information on some of the displays is quite dated, and can do with an update. This does not alter the value of the exhibition, specifically as it relates to the evolutionary pathway and the history of the area. The stale information pertains more to the impact of development and consumerism on the environment.

What an absolutely phenomenal experience! My dad is in a wheelchair, which usually prevents us from having full experiences of places, but I found this place wonderfully accessible. The boat ride was something that he would usually have to sit out, but the staff was so incredibly helpful and helped get him into the boat, despite it being quite a mission. Getting out, they had called in more help and he was quickly back in his chair. I cannot describe how much it meant to us that he could be part of that experience! THANK YOU!

The displays are wonderfully creative and informative and we enjoyed the interactive nature of the exhibit. We loved that the layout was planned so that you didn't miss anything. So many museums put displays parallel and facing each other which makes it frustrating because while you're absorbed in the one panel, you don't see the one behind you and have to backtrack to see everything.

We had such an amazing experience there - I can't believe I was reluctant to go. I cannot get over how friendly and helpful the staff was, even offering to help push the wheelchair up to the car park as they were closing for the day. It was worth every cent for us and we will definitely be back!

Really recommend a visit to Maropeng. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. The exhibits are good. Altogether a great experience.

Rhino & Lion Park provided a safe, enjoyable game drive. Worthwhile and value for money.

What an awesome experience it was! We loved everything about this museum! Going on the boat ride was the highlight.

A visit to Maropeng is really worth the trip. There is so much history and so interesting. The preservation of the fossils is truly amazing. There are souvenir shops and 2 restaurants where u can either have a smart full service meal or near the entrance is a casual restaurant where light meals and beverages are served. The views are beautiful from the viewing point at the top of the main restaurant.

Fantastic experience! the museum was amazing, with outstanding exhibits. the caves were an experience not to be missed, with knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. a definite must!
