The waterfalls at the Market Cafe was so pleasant to look at while you're eating the good food. The staff was extra friendly as well so it made the experience much more pleasant. Would not mind coming back.

This place was suprizingly beautiful. Fantastic views and beautiful grounds. I booked a stay for a quick, last minute business trip, and was happily suprized by the views and very hospitable staff.

This place is amazing. The hospitality was amazing from checking in at the front desk to the servers around the pool area. They made sure we were well taken care of. The room rates are great in the summer time. The only downside I have is the prices for food and drinks, be ready to spend some money, you will definitely pay some resort prices here. I would recommend bringing some alcohol to the room and maybe order some food and have it delivered to your room. Besides that everything was amazing and the views from the pool are incredible and they also have hidden jacuzzis in the mountains. I will definitely be going back. Best resort to stay at in the summer time for Arizona.

I m a Platinum Elite w/Amb. member... this place has a unique layout, strong staff, and very cool pool. Overpriced for what you get in the rooms, however, which I found to be old and rundown. Took a shower, and when I woke up the next morning, two inches of standing water remained in the shower pan- not great. Told the FD, they fixed it immediately, but... not great.

Never ate at Top of the Rock, but cafe and bar food and drink was good but, again, not great. Stay here for the pool and workout facilities, which are fabulous, but ahead of some renovations, generally overpriced.

So much fun! Loved the live music at the pool bar. So much to so here. My husband and I spent our 18th wedding anniversary there and it was very memorable. The hot tubs located in the mountains were so beautiful.

My company had our Christmas party here this past Friday. I arrived late to which the buffet of food was cold and unattended. I had asked if there was someone to cut the prime rib and the staff person I spoke with, told me to serve myself. I asked him what I should serve myself with, considering there were only ladles for the aus jus. He then had an attitude and walked away to find something to serve us the meat. After sitting down for 10 min, I got up to get my wife and myself some drinks from the bar. When I returned, literally 3 minutes later., someone from the staff had taken away my plate of food and silverware. At this point, I was already irritated and no longer hungry. My wife decided she wanted more vegetables, so I went to get her more veggies, but there was no more silverware. After asking the staff where I could find a fork he had an attitude again and walked around the tables looking for empty spots where nobody used their silverware. He finally grabbed a fork from a table and said "here". After a while my wife wanted desert....guess where there were plenty of forks! I honestly won't be attending any more Christmas parties if they host them here.

The furnishing consists of beachwood veneers with corian grey vinyl counters. Ceilings are popcorn texture with walls a tan sponge press wallpaper with 3/4 inch edging and 3.5 inch carpet baseboard. Puke!
The light switches are literally falling off the walls. The noise of the traffic from the highway is loud 24 hours a day (and I like noise when I sleep) The shower backed up to overflowing 2 nights out of a three night stay. The door to the shower/toilet doesn t close. While walking down the hallway, alternating smells of mildew and body odor offend the senses... and my sense of smell is at best a 2 out of 5.
I d go on, but do I really need to??

So why two stars?
The bed and the pillows are comfortable. Otherwise I rate it as one of the worst places I have stayed in the last five years.

I should mention that I m only a Marriott gold member, so maybe better status gets accommodations that don t resemble the experience I described above.

I was only there for an afternoon conference and did not stay in or view any of the rooms. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. I only had one interaction with the staff. I asked for directions to the conference room. The gentleman happily guided me to the elevator and provided me accurate directions to the room. It appears to be the kind of place where you could have a five star experience, but for me, I just didn't stick around to get the full experience. I would recommend it.

TOP OF MY LIST: Best Hotel In All of Phoenix AZ
wooooo hoooooooooooo congratulations!!!
This place has a lot going for it. Some of the walls in the structure are the side of the mountain. It has wonderful architecture that surround multiple levels of the building around the mountain. There is a great pool area where you literally go up the side of the mountain and random hot tubs are placed along the trail. This place has a wonderful restaurant with a koi pond and waterfall also. You can host many events here as well. This place is absolutely amazing. I do not want to spoil it all for you!!! It is Butte-iful.

Just stopped in for a meeting and a breakfast, so my review is just about the restaurant. Service was great and friendly, the carne asada and eggs were delicious. A bit pricey, but that's normal for a resort restaurant.

Disappointing. Not what I expected from Marriott Resort at all. During this pandemic I found it very frustrating that every hand sanitizer station I tried was empty. The state of pool area was very disappointing- 40% of the lounges were ripped or broken. Garbage cans were overflowing, causing garbage to spill and blow into pool. The hotel is dated and needs to be updated. The room was clean, but the whole place needs attention and an update. It would have a been a beautiful end to our trip to AZ if the facility was maintained well. The staff was friendly, but I will not stay there again until it is updated.

Beautiful resort, I tried out all the hot tubs. Unfortunately this was to my demise, I made the mistake of putting my head under water in the Jacuzzi's and came home to find i contracted Giardiasis while I was here. Could have been the fruit infused water that was out every day. Lost 3 weeks of work and lost 23 lbs. of weight. 4 weeks later I have rid myself of this parasite but was a very scary experience that could have been avoided. Hotel staff was nice but my floor in the hallway was flooded the whole time I was there also. Couldnt understand cleaning staff either. Overall disappointment in the whole trip and my stay.

Nice hotel that once was a destination of a past President. Had a great restaurant top of the rock. Great place for a stay and a meeting.
However, since they changed owners in 2018 it hasn't been the same

was here for a business event. Decent parking facilities and ballrooms are roomy, no issues with being too hot or too cold but the restrooms are too few for the amount of people these rooms hold. One door does not lock and didn't lock when I was at this location for the same event last year.... fix it people!

There is no reason in this day and age to nickle and dime your guests for WiFi. I understand a "premium" option, but not offering even a basic service as part of the cost of doing business is not a business model that will last long. Otherwise, nice pool, facilities, kind service representatives, clean rooms, and plenty of parking.

I am over the moon about this hotel! The dispensers of chilled infused water in the foyer to the parking lot are genius. The pools are well kept and there was an attendant close by for help. I was able to watch a hummingbird get nectar from a bush right by the whirlpool! The breakfast buffet was delicious (the bacon was just the way I like it, crispy with a little give); although, you could make the syrup ladle a little easier to use.. maybe a smaller ladle that hangs on the holder without sticking to the base where it rested. Anyhoo... it was a beautiful property with 5 star service.

Great resort in the middle of Phoenix. The resort is situated just south of airport. The resort has many swimming pools , cafe and restaurants. The resort offers a fantastic view of the city. There are few walk paths for people to walk around. The lobby and resort guest rooms are spread around wide area. The pool area is well spread out and features a slide. A very nice relaxing place.

We had a wonderful time at the Marriot Phoenix Buttes. It started at the Check-in. The person that checked us in was Real Fun, Pleasant and Very Helpful. Along with His Excellent Manager, they were able to satisfy us, completely with the 3 rooms we required, that was Amazing considering how full the hotel was. From then on Everything was Perfect! The Rooms were Perfect!, the Pools were Perfect!, the Hot Tubs were Perfect, the Restaurant was Perfect! the Entire Staff was Perfect and Very Helpful and Extremely Pleasant to all of us. We are Completely Happy we were able to stay with You. We hope to be able to stay with You again and will Highly Recommend the Buttes to Others.

Thank You, Sincerely,

TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! place to stay and ho...

TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! place to stay and host a wedding. I got married here last October and let me share my HORRIFYING experience.

Front Desk:
Checking in and checking out was nice and simple. I would give that 4 stars, the young lady was very sweet and helpful.
BUT don't let that fool you because once you get to the rooms, you are in for a surprise.
Upon checking in, we go to our room which by the way is not connected to the reception desk, so don't bother parking your car...the elevators were out of order. So, we had to lug 8 - 50 pound suitcases up the stairs since no one was around to help, a good workout but for sure tiring. The elevator was out of order the rest of the day, and the half of the following day.

Rooms:
1. We had the chairman suite which SMELLED HORRIBLE, HAD A HUGE COCKROACH in the bathroom. I have a phobia of roaches so that didn't go down well for me. The suite was not pretty, didn't feel luxury in fact it was way below average. I can't imagine having that as a "wedding night" suite.
2. My parents the other suite, and guess what? that ALSO HAD A COCKROACH in it!!! It smelled like sewer, so bad that we wanted to change the room. There was no hot water, the toilet didn't work/flush.
3. The other rooms we had luckily didn't have roaches, but the rooms are extremely small - I felt that you don't get the bang for your buck at almost $200 a night.
4. We had a 50 room block for two nights, and I am yet to ask how our other guest's experience was. I am almost afraid to ask.

Pool/Restaurant:
Didn t have to time to experience the pool/bar/restaurant so no comments on that.

Reception hall/experience:
1. Below average, not the cleanest - the online pictures are deceiving. It looks nothing like that.

Customer Service (Apart from front desk):
My make-up artist came to get me ready for the wedding at 5am. We just couldn't figure out from where to turn the lights on in the chairman suite. So we call the front desk, who transferred us to maintenance. The RUDEST and the MOST INCONSIDERATE person picked up and told us, I quote "I don't have time right now, I will be there in half an hour". I mean...WHAT? Did we just hear that? So, let me get this straight we just delay the wedding by half hour because the man doesn't have "time" to show us where to turn on the damn lights OR just tell us on the damn phone where to look for the switches. Knowing we are there for the wedding, this was his response. UNBELIEVABLE! We eventually figured it out, and he came strolling AFTER 1 HOUR!

This place was a COMPLETE WASTE of money. I wouldn't stay here for FREE even if I had the option. STAY AWAY, SAVE YOUR MONEY and SAVE YOURSELF from the frustration, the cockroaches, the sewer smelling room.

It makes you think you are out of the city. The landscape and polar cut into the Butte. The highway is pretty close. You can see and hear it from the front of the hotel. But the way it is set up it is minimal noise. Staff has been very nice and helpful. I have not been here during the afternoon (work trip.) I am sure it will get noisy the next couple of days seeing it's the 4th of July coming up.
