My wife and I were pretty disappointed in the service at the Brown Palace. We came back for our 1 year anniversary to have brunch because we actually stayed at the Brown Palace the night of our wedding and had breakfast before we took off for our honeymoon. When we mentioned the special occasion to the host, he didn t seem to be interested and simply asked us if we needed anything else. The server was in a rush, not friendly and the food took a long time to arrive at our table. My wife asked for tea because she saw on the menu that Brown Palace tea was available, the server brought out a few Allegro packets of tea to choose from and hot water. My wife and I were excited to start a new anniversary tradition of going to the Brown Palace for breakfast to start off each celebratory weekend but this experience has definitely changed our minds. Disappointed for sure.

the service was excellent even tho I was just there for dinner they treated me like I was staying there

I spent almost two weeks here! not only was the staffthe most friendly and welcoming staff out of any hotel I ve been to. Everything else was perfect too! From the amazing delicious food to the spectacular views from the rooms and not to mention how clean those rooms were, they were sparkling! Would come here again 10/10 highly recommend!

Some time ago I was in this hotel, the truth is that it is very nice, I highly recommend it, it has very good decoration and it is very nice inside, good care provided by the people who work there, highly recommended

Everything is soo BROWN! It is a beautiful historical location- being a native driven past it a thousand times- valet ONLY- or take the chance with street parking- a lil to posh and stuffy for this CO country boy.

Love this old hotel! Historic and charming. I've visited a lot of historic hotels all over the country, and this one is as polished and grand as any other. It is a bit pricey- their "High Tea" costs more than a dinner in other places- but I guess that is part of it's exclusivety.

Took the wife for the afternoon tea. Great experience!

Christmas at The Brown Palace is a simple way to remind yourself that Miracles are possible and Santa does his best work underneath an amazing chandelier of light! Great food, amazing ambiance and delightful staff! We enjoy dinner and then head across the street to Trinity for the Christmas Eve service. Christmas morning means CHAMPAGNE BRUNCH! Carving station, baked brie (thanks, chef!), seafood, made to order omelets, fresh from kitchen Eggs Benedict, my fave waffles, Grand Marnier infused chocolate to sip, a dessert area bigger than my kitchen, roaming singers, a wonderful band, wonderful servers in festive shirts and so much more! (Whew!) Reservations are IMPERATIVE! Make your reservations early! The Brown makes Christmas unforgettable!!!!

My wife and I only visited the spa for manicures. Making our appointments online was easy, pricing was very reasonable. Our technicions were friendly, very professional, and did a fantastic job. Since I was done earlier than my wife, I wandered out to ask the concierge about great vegetarian restaurants nearby. Her recommendation was amazing.

What a fun place to stay! Located in the heart of downtown denver so you can easily get places.

The Brown Palace seems less Pallacy than it is a Fallacy......

Kind of snarky but I m very disappointed. My wife and I stayed there for the first time last time. Maybe pandemic staffing is causing a problem but we weren t given a discount for crummy service?

Our first room was broken upon arrival. The shower door was hanging by a hinge and was supposedly marked off limits by housekeeping but the front desk still sent us there.

Our second room, for the same price, had a tiny bathroom and a poop stained chair in the corner.... so weird.

Not the managements fault because there are science based? Laws preventing them from opening the famous cigar bar, but that was closed too.

Lastly, I ordered a well vodka soda from the lobby bar and it was $24 with a standard tip . Oh man. So much luxury!!

We won t be back.

One of a kind. Multiple restaurants inside. Pastries are made from scratch on site. Friendly but professional staff. Historic hotel in the heart of Downtown Denver. High Tea. Full service spa. Great location but traffic can be a bit loud. Furnishings are antique but not worn. Free city bus to within one block of Denver's performing arts complex.

Amazing staff and service. A lively experience through and through every time. Accommodating staff, forward thinking, and the atmosphere of this beautiful building is superb. Try the Palace Arms, if you do anything while visiting. One of the few high end restaurants I have visited where the price is exceeded by the experience. Magnificent.

Wonderful historic hotel in downtown Denver. If you are into history or architecture this is a place to visit. They have done a good job preserving most of the hotels turn of the century charm. Rooms can vary significantly in size. If you care about what size room you get I recommend calling when making reservations. The hotel serves high tea which is very popular and books long in advance. They also have a lounge and cigar bar. There is a restaurant which for some reason seems to have lost its popularity in recent years.

We go every year for tea. Always a lovely experience, very posh with cute little petit-fours and scones and truffles and awesome tea.

Classic hotel....the Ship Tavern is a great place for a good...and a bit pricey....lunch

BEST historic hotel in ages. Historic hotels have lovely architecture and common areas but the rooms almost always leave something to be desired: they're usually small, dank, or nice but inconveniently situated. Afterthought areas like the fitness center are usually buried in the sub-basement. Not the Brown Palace. Suite 740 had wide windowsills for curling up and looking at the city, curved glass windows, original (but non-operatonal) window weights, a lovely deep, deep tub, separate shower with standard and rainfall heads, and the *coziest bed ever*. Take some time to explore the building. Bring your SPD spin shoes and ride w your partner on the Expresso bikes. Staff were flawless, too. Oh, and BEES. Yasss to pollinators! I barely felt the biting cold of Denver staying here and look forward to returning. Marriott Platinum Elite.

We were upgraded to a King room which was fantastic. Very nice room. The bed was uncomfortable. We did not sleep at all. Asked for down pillows. Did not get them. The service at Ellington 's was wonderful and staff very professional. Just alot of money to spend for a terrible nights sleep.

Overall, The Brown Palace has a great location and very comfortable rooms. However, as a 4 start hotel, we expected a bit more. Our room had stains on the carpet and a TV that would randomly not work. The bathroom was spacious but lacked some of the luxuries you expect from higher star hotels such as robes. These are small things but they often make the experience different from booking a random 2 star hotel.

Regardless, we enjoyed our 2 nights with our pups in the comfy beds but don t think we would return again unless there were some improvements in their service and standards.

I visited Brown Palace for tea. It was delicious and I really loved the atmosphere. The service was great. I would love to return. Reservations needed.

The bar is great and they do a good job decorating for the hollidays.

Beautiful building, staff made us feel very comfortable and at home by greeting us warmly, and directing us where to go. Once inside the restaurant, we were immediately seated at a great table by the window. Our server quickly came over to welcome us, and to explain the food and beverage options. The food and service were amazing, although we're not drinkers so the price seemed a bit high without unlimited champagne. Not something we would do more than a couple times, but we did enjoy our first visit, and would recommend for a special occasion. We did use their complimentary valet, who were also very efficient and well mannered. Everyone showed excellent customer service!

A must see for anyone visiting downtown Denver. I stayed next door in the sister hotel (a very nice Holiday InnExpress, which I did not know was connected to Brown Palace physically and as a business). But I did spend some excellent time at the Brown Palace and it is terrific. So historical and it has a cigar bar for night cap, walk around lobby and took escalators to the over the street covered sidewalk to my hotel

High test during the holidays was a delight. Scones, finger sandwiches, and sweets with 3 tea choices and champagne , a true pleasure. Wonder full wait staff service.

We love going to this spa. The staff is amazing and the amenities are great. I have never had a bad time at the spa.

Ship tavern was super crowded but they let you take your drink anywhere in the hotel, which was cool

Rooms are average at best. Air conditioning didn't work in both rooms I was put in.

The spa is insanely over priced. I've had a better massage for 50 dollars.

I left after second night and switched to the Renaissance down the street. One of the better hotels I've been to.

Unless you are in business suits staff will treat you like you like you don't matter.

Pass on this one, people stay here to say they stayed there.

Location was good. Setting was good. Service was good. History of building was awesome. Food served was worthy of a hockey puck.

Atmosphere and decor were historical and nice. I did not ask, and they did not say on the phone, but the upper rooms are not ADA acceptable. It was difficult for me. The did give me a room on the second floor instead of the third, which made it better, but the stairs were hard for me

The service provided was beyond amazing. My mother, sister, and I treated ourselves to three treatments. It was the best spa experience I've ever had! Hands down. Not only are we planning another, but we are also planning on attending a tea service in February.

I went for tea and desserts there with my family and it was amazing. I had a lot of fun and everyone was very nice and informative about the teas and pasteries. It's a gorgeous place that I hope to get to go to again!

Beautiful hotel in downtown Denver with an old-school, vintage vibe. Feels very grand. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable.

We checked in and were given keys to a room that was already occupied. Very awkward when we opened the door and saw clothes and shoes all over the floor. "Upgraded" to a room with a larger bed, which wasn't even available initally according to the website. Went to the atrium for the jazz trio, got seated at a table that was pretty much in the walkway, then waited over 15 minutes for a server. Drinks finally came then server disappeared again. Had to leave for dinner so just left cash on the table. Not impressed.

Went for an anniversary a few years ago. Ate at every restaurant. Service was excellent. Everything was very memorable. Served champagne in the lobby upon entrance. Fresh flowers were everywhere. We stayed at the 'top of the Brown' room. It was big and beautiful. Would love to stay again

The architecture is simply stunning ,and believe it or not the AFC sas actually birthed between two gentlemen in the very lobby of this amazing hotel! I'm blown away every time.

Went to brunch and only issue is what to pick to eat EVERYTHING was great

As the oldest and most prestigious hotel in Denver, The Brown Palace is known for luxury at its highest! Whether high tea with friends or a whiskey at night, this venue is as classic and classy as they come. Ask about the secret tunnels underneath the hotel. Pinkies up during High-Tea!

I only went in to the spa area for a massage so will only comment on that, it was really nice and accommodating. The men's waiting room has a lot of extras to make the experience very comforting. My favorite of all the extras was the steam room, but I was also impressed by the lockers as they had customizable electric keypads . The massage itself was very relaxing and the employee set up a good atmosphere. The employee was able to put a good amount of pressure as requested and made sure I was well taken care of. I would definitely go again.

Food was excellent. Not a single thing was served that I didn't like. Would definitely go to brunch there again

Amazing historic hotel. The room was beautiful with old charm but modern amenities. The layout is gorgeous, especially around Christmas time.

Went to ellyingtons for lunch. No one at our table enjoyed their meal and there were 8 of us.

Built in 1892, it is still one of the best experiences in Downtown Denver. The Beatles demanded to stay here. This was Elvis' favorite hotel. Official hotel of NASA astronauts.

High tea is really fun and the hotel is so interesting, a great place to spend the afternoon!

High quality food that tasted amazing. High price point. We had an exquisite breakfast experience- the staff were so nice.

The concierge is where I visited. They were super friendly and professional. Otherwise, I went clothes shopping after my visit which is only a 5 minute walk away.

No doorman when I arrived late from airport. Front desk repeatedly swiped my debit card until my bank started sending fraud alerts. Room phone crackled so much when I called the manager she asked me to come down in person. Condom wrapper in bathroom drawer and dirty linens hidden behind furniture. No response to my email to management two days ago. Need I go on? This used to be my family s favorite Denver hotel, but the cheap motel level standards will definitely send us elsewhere next time we come to Denver.

Very nice hotel, with great service and amenities for the conference I attended.

Had an appointment at the spa and was given a tour by the manager. This hotel is a gem!!!!
Stayed for the live music in the lobby and had a beautiful time. They have drinks and food you can order.
Totally enjoyable experience.

Amazing place... I could walk around the building for hours. Lots of history and stories. Cigar Lounge and Bar were nice and we were treated to some singing in the bar by locals. Room was very nice, classic style. Staff was very friendly, and we will stay here again when in Denver.

I ve stayed at the Brown Palace a number of times, Marcel was a great GM and friend over the years. This weekend trip is not meeting the standards of the Brown Palace. $170 per night and an very disappointing experience at the Tavern! HEI is their new management company and it s going to change the performance of staff and expectations of guests!

Had a wonderful time at churchill's, the cigar bar. Great decor, good drinks, enjoyed very much.

Great service, every employee was fantastic, room was clean, comfy and had plenty of room.

Ug, I wish when I made my reservation for the Sunday brunch at Ellyngton's we would have been informed of the street construction. I drove around 3 time trying to get to the valet and even asked two Cops who were no assistance. With my senior parents the can't walk from a parking lot. We had to cancel at the last minute because I couldn't get to the valet.

Old Denver. Beautiful for the holidays. The butter cream served at tea time is worth whatever the bill will be.

Breathtaking architecture & wonderful customer service!

We stayed there to meet friends for tea. The lobby is nearly a Victorian hallucination. The staff is befitting a grand hotel. The rooms are small, overpriced and under appointed. Stay across the street and make reservations for tea.

We did a champagne brunch there. Bottomless champagne and the food was pretty good. On the pricey side so be ready to spread them cheeks

Wonderful accommodating staff and beautiful grounds. Definitely recommend.
