The cigar bar was one of the highlights of my Denver drinking trip.
Manager stubbornly unapologetic regarding repeated billing errors. After multiple calls and emails I expected an apology for the inconvenience, which tarnished an otherwise pleasant weekend.
Absolutely beautiful hotel! Covid friendly. Historic architecture. Great hospitality and accommodations
I am disappointed that The Brown Palace Hotel charges $10.00 per person for the historic tour. In my opinion, this is a PR debacle. I am offended for being charged and would never stay at this hotel nor would I ever recommend it. Note to management: Open your tours to everyone and gain valuable PR. After a FREE tour, people might be more inclined to book a room!
Beautiful property, amazing food, and superb cigar bar. If you want luxury mixed with history, The Brown Palace is unmatched.
Very nice place. Lots of history to the place. All personnel were very friendly and a willingness to help. Highly recommend this hotel.
I took my mother-in-law for tea on mothers day and we had a great time. The quality of the food and tea was amazing. Great service and a live band made it even better. Highly suggest it.
Great location, nice rooms with a wonderful history.
Absolutely beautiful building in central Denver. A great English theme is running throughout the hotel and the staff are incredibly nice, and we were just there for brunch!
We went for Afternoon Tea at the Brown Palace and had a lovely time. The setting is gorgeous, the food was delightful and the staff were lovely. We celebrated a birthday there and were treated to a round of Happy Birthday from the live piano player and a cupcake with a candle! It was lovely and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Thank you Brown Palace Staff, for a terrific Family Reunion.
Bill Ebert turns 91, and we gathered the kids, and many of their kids, for a wonderful series of events at the Brown. My sister Catherine Ebert-Grey, Ambassador to Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu & Solomon Islands, flew in, with amazing stories of the South Pacific. Tessa, Susan, and Myrna coordinated the events. Jennifer, Michael and I came from Los Angeles.
We were all stunned by the elegance, the architecture, the kindness of the staff. We enjoyed a brief lunch in the Ship's Tavern, and then later an afternoon welcoming toast in the Larimer Room. A delightful dinner was in the LoDo room. The Hotel Banquet Coordinator was generous with her time.
We look forward to meeting next year again. Can we have an event in the Brown Palace Club, then? We hope the new owners keep us apprised of their plans, and continue to have some of the best trained staff anywhere.
I went for a wedding. It was the most beautiful set up ive ever seen
I was there for a personal reason not using any of the services just met some one who works there. Although I have been there before and service was fantastic, employees are always very helpful
An evening of wine and cigars in the churchill room. A cozy setting with booksheleves and plush leather reminding you of the grandfathers study. A wonderful experience only lessened by the fact we had to leave.
If time travel is possible it d fell like walking in the doors of the BP. Located next to my office it has became a infrequent meeting place for cocktails, cigars and Hors d oeuvre.
Had tea at brown palace. Hands down, a phenomenal experience. Snacks were great, champagne was solid, music was phenomenal.
Went to the Brown Palace for a holiday lunch. We had a big room for our event and enjoyed the speaker. The food is always so good. We just have ran long on time, only a few people were served dessert, but overall it was a great place to go and enjoy a lunch with colleagues. The decorations for Christmas were up and very elegant and well done. Beautiful. Enjoy coming downtown to the Brown Palace for an event.
Room was very small, shower sprayed everywhere and the door didn't close. The hotel policies made us feel very unwelcome, specifically the dress code policy. Who has those anymore?!? Beautiful place and loved the historical building, but overall a disappointing stay. Not worth the money
This is a great historical landmark for the city of Denver. The history is fascinating! The place is well kept. The staff is top notch.
Ellingtons has great service and delicious breakfast
My husband and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary, and we were pretty much pleased with our stay. Our only complaints are that it was really pricey to have drinks here so, we recommend drinking alcohol elsewhere. Additionally, the shower in our room, leaked onto the floor of the bathroom, pretty badly. Other than that we were happy with our stay. We stayed in a Signature room & compared to other luxury type hotels nearby, the price was much lower. We recommend the bed and breakfast package!
Awesome place to visit for drinks or a room in downtown denver
Disappointing for the price. Did the Christmas Eve menu and wine pairing. We were given dirty silverware which was replaced with dirty silverware. The first wine of the service was a 2009 when the advertised a 2004.
They missed inexcusable details for the price point they aim for.
Beautiful, storied building with fascinating history and the tastiest water fountain this side of the Mississippi
Had high tea on October 29th and couldn't have been happier. Everything was delicious and service superb with nostalgic piano music (bravo). I take out of towners here as part of my tour and it's always most memorable.
Beautiful place. The presidential suite is absolutely incredible. It is huge too. The lobby is a great place to listen to music and relax
The Brown Palace is beautiful. We love it for the nostalgia; however, it's an incredibly uncomfortable hotel. They recently became part of the Marriott organization. We decided to try it again, hoping for the Marriott quality beds, pillows, options, etc. Maybe Marriott hasn't gotten there yet. Beds are incredibly uncomfortable. The road noise is very loud. The thermostat in the room does not work, so you cannot adjust your room temperature. Possibly they cater to an older crowd because the room temperature was so warm we couldn't sleep. We tried to turn on the ceiling fan, but it wobbled and clanked so badly, we felt it might fall on us... Hopefully they get some updating done. Otherwise, you are better off just walking through or having tea to enjoy the ambiance and then stay somewhere else.
Read the reviews, people. I obviously did not do my homework before I booked here. Don t waste your money! The only thing grande about this hotel is the lobby! In October, I made reservations for mid December for the spa and room package. When I called the spa ( on the same day I booked the package) I was told they had had no openings during the dates I had reserved. That same day, I changed the reservation to the room and breakfast package. Upon arrival, we were checked in without difficulty. The lobby is absolutely exquisite!! The room was very small and dated , with a very small bathroom. The issue became trying to get out breakfast.... we were not told we had to the restaurant by 930 on checking. We were not told we needed reservations. When we mentioned this to the front desk clerk, she recommended room service. We called room service, and were told we would have an hour and a half wait. We deciddd to see if the restaurant would seat us, even though it was 9:33 and they quit serving at 9:30. Without hesitation, the clerk said no. So my advice if you want to see this glorified place... walk in and look around - then leave. The rest of it is not worth your money or time. btw...we were told we are extremely busy today ..... yep... it s Christmas Season... here more staff!!!! We are expected, as guests, to make reservations ahead of time.... you should also plan ahead!
Historical Denver must visit! Take the tour. Enjoyed an evening at Churchill's with family and friends. We stayed previously for our anniversary. Memorable evenings.
Always wonderful. Stayed many times and will continue to go back.
I love it,it's beautiful,the atmosphere is excellent
Luxury Luxury Luxury - If you want the very best - this is it.
Came for afternoon tea. The tea was nice, loved the love pianist. Tea selection was a bit limited. Food was good and presented nicely, but not the best afternoon tea food I've had. The atrium we were in was very pretty.
Fantastic place to have High Tea in a true British fashion. There were seven people at our table and the food was wonderful. Even my three granddaughters (14, 7 & 9) loved trying the many different tea's.
Beautiful hotel with lots of history & great amenities. Be warned: they changed their pet policy from a $100 refundable deposit to a $100 fee.
Amazing service, cordial staff, and a remarkable ambiance. The tea service is one of our favorite things to do as a family!
Room 743, noisy AF pipes in the wall kept me awake on two different nights. Pretty sure there was sewer gas coming up through the shower drain as well. Really unacceptable for such a nice hotel.
We had the pleasure or holding our wedding in the Onyx room of the Brown Palace on 1/19/19. Thanks to the entire staff at the Brown Palace our wedding was more than we could have imagined. The tireless Catering Sales Manager, Megan Bobay, is the master of juggling large catering events and keeping everyone happy. I was impressed that she was managing our wedding and a 100th birthday party with 200+ people. Then, on the night of our wedding, I realized there were several additional events occurring at the same time. Megan was cool as a cucumber. Megan represents the Brown Palace brand very well. The Floral Manager, Carina Aguilar, exceeded my expectations! My bouquet and all of the arrangements in the Onxy room were dazzling. The Wine Director Palace Arms & Churchill Bar Manager, Christopher Messler, accommodated our special request to have a table available in Churchill Bar for an after-reception gathering. Our guests loved continuing the party in Churchill. Churchill holds a special place in our hearts because it s where we got engaged! The Director of Event Technology, Andrew Raitz, installed beautiful twinkle lights and sheer curtains to make the Onyx room even more beautiful. The entire team at the Brown Palace seamlessly brought our wedding together, and we were thoroughly impressed with every aspect.
The most famous hotel in Denver is known for its atrium, which is indeed a great space.
Lovely evening at the Ship's Tavern & beautiful hotel room!
This review pertains to The Churchill bar inside the Brown Palace. This is easily one of the finest places in the country to enjoy a cigar in a luxurious environment. Resplendent with large leather couches and chairs and a very well-stocked humidor, patrons can also enjoy some excellent snacks from the Brown Palace is renowned kitchen
An historical relic in Colorado. Ask the front door guy if you're free to look around, and they will let you pass for a self guided tour.
Had afternoon tea and was amazed at the detail they went through and how they were all so gracious. Would go again and the rooms were just as pleasent.
When we got there they told us they overbooked the hotel so they moved us to a holiday inn across the street which isn t even comparable to the brown palace. I would expect a four diamond hotel to know how to book their own hotel and treat their customers. We came out to Colorado for a wedding and to have a beautiful stay at a beautiful hotel and ended up being put in a room the size of my car at the very last minute.
Classy place to have Sunday brunch that also comes with champagne!
Attended a professional event at the Palace Arms. Service was impeccable, matching the exquisite decor.
Very nice historic Denver hotel. Even if you are not staying there go in and check it out. Cool bars and restaurants. Our room was huge.
The name says it all-- every detail of the experience was fit for royalty. :)
One of the nicest buildings I've ever been in. Unbelievably gorgeous
The staff was pleasant and was able to answer questions about the location.
We've spent the last 5 days here & will be back AGAIN!!! The service was amazing and the hotel was decorated beautifully! I've had back problems through the years & didn't get a very good night's sleep the first night. When we spoke to the front desk, they immediately upgraded us to another amazing room at no charge AND comped our wi-fi! Room service was delish and served hot, even on Christmas Eve when the hotel was packed with people! The Christmas Brunch was second to none! The "tradition" of the Holiday's still lives on here with a 100+ year old church across the street that held a beautiful Christmas Eve, candlelight service! We may have just started a new tradition for OUR family!
Nice atmosphere but slow service! Christmas tea was fabulous.
Top notch hotel. Even more gorgeous when decorated for Xmas.
Fabulous historic establishment. It s was an amazing experience for us.
Very very elegant. And not for the thrifty travellers. These pictures are from ellyngtons restaurant
Best hotel in Denver. Take the historic tour if you're there.
Great food, excellent service, love the atrium. It's the Brown Palace. A local gem.
Nice hotel. It's centrally located in downtown Denver. The rooms are great, and feel like a historic hotel room. The service was top notch.
The Brown Palace is a marvel and a beauty. Just the chandelier in the entrance is enough to captivate your eyes, and there's so much more to take in. Stop in to the bar and have a hand shaken martini. Enjoy top notch dining. Take high tea. Read up on the history of the building. Definitely stop in if you have some time.
Have never stayed in a room this small - but the room was nice/clean, and the building was gorgeous.
Had a beautiful tea service! Everything was explained and done very professionaly.
Beautiful and charming. This place is amazing and the service has been fantastic.
Very cool hotel that turns 127 years old today. You can feel the history in this place and the service is exemplary.
