This is such a cute, eclectic hotel. The staff is second to none, and the brunch is some of the best I ve had in any city. I highly recommend staying here, or at least dropping by for a bite/drink.

Stood at the bar for 16 minutes waiting on the bar tender to ask me for a drink - started at 11:47 - at 11:04 asked for the third time for a drink and was told that the bar had closed the cash drawer - go somewhere else where they want bar patrons - savannah has other great bars

We had a destination wedding at the Brice and Morris Center. The Brice' s catering and service was outstanding . The hotel, however, had issues with guest room odors. Not sure if it was pets or mold and mildew but needs to be addressed because otherwise this is an outstanding hotel.

Stayed here with my mom and daughter, and it was ok, but not spectacular.
The Pros- The concierge area and restaurant (that we didn't eat at) seemed very nice. As did the outdoor lounging area. The room tidy, and for the most part clean (albeit the overpowering smell of cleaning products that lingered through out our whole stay) The staff for the most part were friendly, the bellhops and valets actually were the most friendly and helpful. The location was nice (close to the river).
Cons- The decor in the hallways are strange and seem chaotic, when we checked in and when we checked out it was almost impossible to get down the hallways because of all the maid carts (the hallways are VERY narrow). Upon arrival someone elses cups and dishes were still sitting outside of the room, beside the door. The rooms are small, as are the bathrooms (it was tiny) and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles were not clean, and the bathtub had a place where it had obviously been patched. We did have a fridge, but it was virtually impossible to store anything in, due to everything they had stored in there (for you to consume and then add to your bill). One window stayed fogged up the entire time (not sure why? The other never was). One of the lamps in our room would not turn on, and we couldn't figure out how to turn the other one off (finally found a little lever BEHIND the lamp that dimmed it).
I'm an IHG member, and we originally planned to stay somewhere else, but found The Brice had a Cyber Monday deal for a lower price, but claimed to have the same perks as my original choice. It was fine for the price that I paid, but not the price that the rooms originally go for. Honestly wish I would have just paid the extra and stayed at my original choice.
In all, it was mediocre; was it terrible? No, but not the 4-star it hails to be. I've stayed in some four stars, and this was not a 4-star stay.

It s a no from me. This hotel is not what expected. They pet friendly corridor smells terrible. For the price and reputation- we were very disappointed. Would not recommend and would not stay again. Low end and poor cleanliness.

Good customer service and appreciated the parking garage.

The staff was generally pleasant though nothing special. But the room was not up to the Kimpton standards that I'm used to. The air vent had a dryer sheet stuck to it (an attempt at an air freshener?) and the ironing board was a broken piece of junk (see photos). Additionally there are NO OUTLETS for anything. I had to crawl under the desk, unplug the TV, then plug in the iron every time I ironed something. I did like the restaurant on site.

We we're heading to Savannah and I got a targeted ad and a really good deal... We gave it a try and we love it! Great staff, awesome beds, little sitting areas with good coffee in the morning, perfect location. Pet friendly. Very pet friendly! We check out tomorrow but they have already exceeded our expectations.

Anytime I went to go inside the hotel there was always someone holding the door open for me. The people are so nice and they seem like they enjoy doing there job. The hotel itself is beautiful, the bathroom even has huge pumps of conditioner, shampoo and body wash that smell like citrus. All around this hotel was worth the price.

The Brice has offered us a fantastic location, steps of the famed River Street. The staff are very friendly, attentive, professional and courteous. Perfect location. Luxurious king bed is like a cloud. Be sure to get to the wine hour, early! A popular perk but every seat was taken when I stopped in.

Best property in Savannah. Central location, and available free bikes to explore. Logan is the best at the front desk, and the entire staff is amazing at all times. Try the premier king suite for extra comfort, and an amazing bathroom!! A+++

The hotel experience was absolutely perfect. Nothing was wrong with the room and everyone was super nice. The only reason they are getting lower stars is due to the checking in and checking out process. Make sure to ask them what the process is in depth. My wife and I are currently on our honeymoon and we checked out yesterday morning around 9pm. Well when we checked into the hotel I used my card information as the hold card or "incident" card. What this means is if we were to leave in the middle of the night and not check out properly they would still get their money for the room. So when we checked out my wife paid for the hotel in full, but the hold card which was my card still showed amounts being taken out of it and not put back into my account and I am being told this could take a few days to receive this money back. We are currently on our honeymoon and are now limited to what we can do due to finances not being there.

We stayed at the Brice from Oct 21-25, 2020. We stayed in a King suite because we were in town to get married at a local square. The wedding (ceremony or reception) was not held at the Brice. Yes we are in a pandemic and it will be the excuse for everything that is not up to par. Perhaps my expectations were set too high after visiting their website.
To begin with a month prior to the visit we stopped by in September to speak with a manager at the hotel My fiance wanted to make sure we had a good room He was assured we had the "best suite" (we were willing to pay), and that he would be handling all charges on his card (he wanted to be gallant). We discussed how I would be getting ready in the suite with my daughter and mother and we were assured we would have plenty of room.
Day of check in, I arrived alone around 10PM. It the lobby smelled like old mop water and continued for the first 2 days; anyone who has worked in hospitality/F&B knows the smell(I have). There was of course no valet (covid) no bell hop (covid) and the check in took quite some time because both people at the front desk were in a panic as the charges were supposed to be on my now husbands credit card, and he wasn't with me. I finally asked what was wrong and handed them my card. They calmed down and got my key- I also found out that the guy from September was no longer at the hotel and apparently alot of changes had occurred. So I can only assume they were new and didn't know how to handle a special request.
Good new- the gentleman helped me find a cart and helped bring all of my extra wedding items to the room.
The room- stylish and modern. However for "the best suite" was TINY. For just a couple on a regular trip it would have been fine but not for a wedding. We had 3 people getting ready and 2 people for hair and makeup and were beyond cramped.
The bathroom was the highlight of the hotel/room. Huge shower with a tub inside of it.
In room dining- none, and the dining room had very limited hours and closed early. Thank goodness for uber eats
Service- none, again Covid's fault. Extra pillows ordered on the day of check in , never arrived. Extra towels we had to get our self. Cleaning I had to call on Saturday to get the room cleaned. I was put on hold to see if they could accommodate. It had been almost 4 days. Luckily they agreed to clean the room! But only after asking what our schedule was. I don't care, I've been here for days and have taken out my own trash twice, gotten my own towels, trying to enjoy my family and friends and now have to give you an exact time when maid service can come?
The courtyard is lovely though needed to be cleaned, and many of the light bulbs have burned out which give it great ambiance.
Day of check out. Here was my chance, we had been here for 4 nights, they will definitely give us a late check out- WRONG. They did extend our check out until 10:30am. I ve had later check outs at the Fairfield Inn and better service. Day of check out even with our extra time at 9:30 cleaning service knocked. Then again at 10am the housekeeping manager knocked. So much for our late check out. I informed her that we would leave as quickly as possible but my husband had been looking for a cart for 30 minutes already. Apparently the entire hotel needed to check out at the exact same time b/c they didn t have enough housekeeping saff but that left a backed up check out desk with a huge line and zero luggage carts. We had 4 days of wedding items and clothing.
I will commend the housekeeping manager. She was very professional, found us a cart

Great place. Except that..... And I know people who travel with their pets will hate me, they allow animals in the rooms. And while I've always enjoyed the company of cats and dogs, I don't want them in a hotel. If you travel with your pet, cheers, this place is for you.

I LOVE Kimpton hotels. I have stayed at Kimptons i...

I LOVE Kimpton hotels. I have stayed at Kimptons in many cities. My mom and I have made it a bit of a tradition to stay in a Kimpton for either of our birthdays, so we do this at least once a year, sometimes twice. What we love about Kimptons is that they are all dog-friendly, the evening wine receptions, and the beautiful design that has been put into the building and the rooms.

This specific hotel is in a historic building, which is on the smaller side. We were on the top floor, which is the 3rd floor in this building. However, the design and decor did not disappoint. There is a beautiful courtyard in the center of the building where we enjoyed bringing drinks out. The building is a little maze-like, and getting to the ice machine from our room was a pain.

This time my partner and I came for my birthday, with my mom (who booked the rooms) staying in a separate room next door. She asked Jared at the front desk if they could leave some wine in my room, and we were so excited to find 2 (two!!) bottles of prosecco, along with a sweet note. Thank you, Jared, for making my birthday a real party!

Upon her arrival, my mom asked for non-down pillows for both rooms. Housekeeping removed two of the four pillows and exchanged them for non-down pillows in each room. However, the two remaining pillows were still down. My partner and I arrived later, so I discovered this and called the front desk right away. The guy who answered asked me what I wanted him to do about this. So I asked if we could have two more non-down pillows for our king bed. He said he might be able to find one pillow for us, but that housekeeping was locked up for the night and I would have to ask again tomorrow. Honestly, I think that's crazy. I think a patron should be able to call at 11pm for pillows and get them. The way he spoke to me sounded like he had no hospitality training at all, which is not what I expect when I stay in a Kimpton hotel.

Also, the pillows were standard size, not king. They looked ridiculous on our giant bed. They were very flat, and the beds were super soft and uncomfortable in both rooms, especially having only one small pillow each to rest our heads on. Hate to dump on my favorite hotel chain for pillows, but I've never had this issue before, so it stands out.

We didn't have our room serviced during our stay, but when we checked in, someone's lipgloss was left on the table by the TV. Gross. The bathtub traction was very dirty, and our shower curtain liner was missing also. All things that I wouldn't expect from a Kimpton hotel.

Once sweet highlight was the man serving drinks at the happy hour who refused our tips. That hasn't happened to me before. He suggested we save it for the valet staff, and we did.

I travel a lot, all over the world, so I don't get grossed-out or annoyed too easily, but we choose Kimptons for a reason and shell out for the experience they usually come with. This one was still very nice overall, but a little disappointing based on past experiences.

It's okay. For the price it is not worth it. You can hear every word those above you and next to you say. If you have one of the rooms facing the main road your room shakes all night from semis. It is not clean, there were a bunch of stains on the couch. The ceiling was also peeling in the bathroom.

The positives are a good happy hour at the bar and a beautiful courtyard. The staff are also nice as well.

Great experience. Location is great. River Street is just a walk across the street and down the stairs. Staff was great, especially Jamar who went above and beyond. They have a social from 5-6 with free wine. There are many books that you can read or bring to your room if you want. Hotel is pet-friendly, but we stayed on the 3rd floor which is not and it smelled nice and fresh with no pet odors. Right across the street from Pirate's house. Loved the historic location. Super fun stay!

Came for a wedding. Service was nice, prior to dinner. Dinner was a disaster. Waited for food and finally got served and the whole table had to send it back because it was cold. The microwave must have been busy. We were part of grooms family, and it sucked. The resolution was slow and unsatisfactory.

First and foremost, as a guest, my son and I had dinner a couple of times in your bar/dining room. Each time had a whiz, SHANNON. She was one of the best servers I have seen. Only one working the tables. She doesn t walk, gives you her time; pleasant, then adeptly Runs to put the order in and goes to kitchen to pick up food for someone else; then runs to take care of others efficiently pleasantly. She did the work of 3 servers and oh, cleaned off the tables. Please reward her for her devotion to her job and one well done. Rooms large; certainly 1st class. Thank you for taking good care of us, including our precious dog, Montana.

My experience with Kimpton Brice was what I expected for a 4 star hotel. If I needed something they were prompt and courteous to assist. The accommodations were amazing from the canopy oh so comfortable bed to the small whimsical details of crown moulding, leather incased night stands, a metallic silver wardrobe, and beautifully decorated bathroom. It looked like something out of a southern charm magazine. The only downside was our bedroom view. We were walking distance from the Savannah river and in the heart of everything. It was an amazing experience. Rodney was very helpful at the front desk with quickly taking care of my needs and giving me directions for my next destination.

Place is ok but they don't tell you about the 28 parking fee on Booking.com plus they don't tell you that they close the garage gates at a certain time. Restaurant was closed on Monday not sure if it was for columbus day or not. Just saying my first thoughts that's all. Although Savannah is awesome and had alot of history.

Hotel is nice and staff is awesome. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because the restroom is very small and cramped. There is no where to place dirty clothes and you cant even sit on the desk properly because the chair wont fit, hitting the bed.

We stayed here on a road trip back, and had a wonderful stay. Even the lightest sleepers in our group got a good night sleep in the extra comfy beds, and the hotel s beautiful courtyard is perfect for a safe stay during Covid. We brought our dog with us, and felt very welcome. Our dog really enjoyed all the parks nearby.

Not sure how there are so many great reviews of this property after our stay last weekend. From the moment we walked in it was disappointment after disappointment. Service staff couldn't even be bothered to hold the door for us coming in and out a single time during our stay and just watched as my husband and I struggled to grab the handle with our bags and dog. After getting our keys from the less than friendly concierge, we arrived to the 2nd floor (which I assume is where they keep all the guests with dogs because it smelled musty and the carpets throughout were not clean), we brought our small dog along and was the main reason for choosing this hotel. The first room we were given was disgusting to say the least - the ceiling above the shower was literally crumbling into the shower, and every surface was covered in dust. Not to mention there was lipstick marks on EVERY glass I picked up throughout our stay and even heard another guest complain about this at breakfast - EVERY SINGLE COFFEE CUP...The location is fine, but since you're right on a main intersection the noise from the traffic is constant. THE WORST part of our stay by far was the bed. It was so hollowed out from YEARS of use, you can feel every spring as you're literally sleeping on a boxspring. The worst three nights of sleep of my life. We borrowed two of the bikes to enjoy a nice ride around town, but both were in pretty shabby condition, pedals bent, bell broken etc...We also had booked our room with breakfast included (the highlight of our stay) and upon checkout the concierge attempted to argue with me about it, as if I wouldn't have remembered overpaying for this terrible experience. INCREDIBLY unprofessional. NEVER AGAIN.

Brought my parents to Savannah for a long weekend, picked the Brice based on reviews and location. We were not disappointed. Robyn at the front desk took great care of us, the entire front desk team provided one great recommendation after another for restaurants and activities. The afternoon happy hour was a nice touch. The rooms were comfortable and clean. It is an old building so the rooms are not huge, very acceptable, but if you are looking for a spacious floor plan this may not be for you. Already planning our next trip to Savannah, and The Brice will again be our home.

A beautiful hotel, the interior design is moder/classic something i had not experienced before. It is about 1 block away from river street and walking distance to all the historic district in the area. The night host at this location was amazing, very kind and outgoing for his gests. There is even a free wine hour. A great stay it was indeed.

Beautiful boutique hotel in excellent location to historic Savannah! All staff - front desk, housekeeping, restaurant, etc - were SO friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make us feel at home and have the most comfortable stay possible. I must say that our room was one of the most quiet and rooms we have ever stayed in. Highly recommend!

My family stayed at the Brice Hotel and we couldn't have asked for a better place! Free wine hour!!! Need I say more? But there was more. Yes the rooms were beautiful, yes the beds were so comfy, yes the staff was very accommodating.

Let's get to the restaurant. Never heard of it. It's called Pacci. What a super find! A few of us arrived before the others. There were six of us all together and they moved things around to seat us by the door to watch for the rest. When the food started rolling out of the kitchen we were thrilled. Hello Savannah! Hello Southern hospitality. Hello delicious food. Kudos to the kitchen staff. Top notch.

We told the waiter we needed to take a walk and he directed us to Broughton Street. Perfect! It's one of the commerce areas in Savannah so we got another taste of this wonderful little city.

Dinner was so great at Pacci we decided to go back for breakfast. Again the food was great and we found another shining star. Thank you Brendon!! Professional yet casual and friendly.

I can't say enough good things about the Brice and especially Pacci. Thank you all or y'all.

Kimptons are great hotels. Great locations, great food, great staff. But Kimptons have this hip vibe that infuses everything. I rammed my toe into the wooden frame that extends well outside the bed. Three days later, it is still black and blue. I am still limping. Big, modern, sleek furniture that is invisible in the dark and takes up too much space. So, google "kimpton" and "stubbed toe." you will see that the following kimptons have had toe injury issues: Brice in savannah, Goodland in santa barbara, Carlyle on dupont circle, Palomar in chicago, Monaco in alexandria, Harbor court san fra, and alexis in seattle. If that many people are reporting problems slamming their feet into your furniture, it could be their feet or it could be your furniture. Maybe take a look at that. Or, keep and eye out for customers who come in walking normally and leave, limping.

This hotel is one giant lie. If I could give negative stars I would.

The hotel is 90% poorly behaved young kids running around.

They say they have bikes but they ll always be checked out.

They ll say they have some real nice trendy happy hour - but it s just an extremely long line of middle Americans waiting for boxed wine.

The pool and garden that you re supposed to have full access to was closed the whole time because they re having a photo shoot every night we were there for a pathetic Instagram limiting our access to any areas. The pool is also dirty with leaves and was never cleaned. There was never enough seating and never any towels.

The restaurant is also one big disappointment. You wait way too long for mediocre food. Loads of people came in after my wife and I yet got food before us. The waitress made up some excuse that they had only 1 cook. How the hell is that ok?!?! 1 cook??? Total bs.

This place is also under staffed. You wait in long lines for everything and housekeeping takes all day. Maybe the person from Kimpton that s getting paid to write a generic response to this scathing review should get off their you know what and start cleaning this dirty overpriced hotel that made for an awful experience.

We stayed at the Brice for 2 nights and were extremely pleased with the staff and the hotel in general. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I have to say though, if you aren't travelling with a pet, this might not be the place for you. There were more dogs in this hotel than I have ever seen in any other pet-friendly hotel. And since there is no size limit, there were some pretty big dogs there!!! However, every owner had complete control of their pet and there were no problems (except that I personally didn't like the pet hair left all over one of the lobby sofas by a shedding breed, but... ..)

Very nice hotel, very nice suite. A/C in our room struggled to get below 73 degrees. Called front desk and was given attitude and the gentleman sounded very inconvenienced by our call. We were told he could move us to a standard room for the night but the next morning we would have to go back to our suite. We took it and the next morning we went to the front desk and the lady was more than accommodating and made everything right. The guy working the evening of 9/31/17 should be fired and go work at McDonalds. His attitude is deplorable and should not be working at a hotel of this caliber.

Based off of Google s star rating, I selected 2 star because it was just okay. We did a lot of research in regards to hotels and higher end stays in Savannah. The Brice was higher rated online than a couple other competitor properties but based on personal experiences that are very recent (Aug 2020), not sure I d recommend The Brice. It s overpriced and the service is mediocre. From 11pm to 8am, no one answers the guest services phone number direct from the room or the Google number as i tried both. I called about a refrigeration issue and nothing was done. We had over $100 worth of food go bad and their way of fixing it was a $25 bar credit. We already paid $10 in 2 water bottles and a Diet Coke. They seem to not care and put zero effort in making sure your stay is meeting corporate standards (it s not). Shouldn t take a man going downstairs to complain 12 hours later about something for it to be handled. Would not recommend and would stay clear of this chain in the future.

We ve stayed at Kimptons before, and this is -by far- the worst of them all. Rooms are comparable to a cheap motel, super basic and lacking amenities. But the real experience killer (sleep buster) is the constantly (and I mean 24/7) barking of dogs. This is a dog hotel. And by that, I mean: They allow dogs to bring their humans here.

A fun long weekend. Rooms are a little odd and you can tell it's not new construction. Kimpton did a great job with the existing structure and tried to maximize space. Best feature of our room was the massive shower and huge tub space in our bathroom! PS totally pet friendly. Here is our dog Enza set up in the window for people watching.
