Stayed here with my mom and daughter, and it was ok, but not spectacular.
The Pros- The concierge area and restaurant (that we didn't eat at) seemed very nice. As did the outdoor lounging area. The room tidy, and for the most part clean (albeit the overpowering smell of cleaning products that lingered through out our whole stay) The staff for the most part were friendly, the bellhops and valets actually were the most friendly and helpful. The location was nice (close to the river).
Cons- The decor in the hallways are strange and seem chaotic, when we checked in and when we checked out it was almost impossible to get down the hallways because of all the maid carts (the hallways are VERY narrow). Upon arrival someone elses cups and dishes were still sitting outside of the room, beside the door. The rooms are small, as are the bathrooms (it was tiny) and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles were not clean, and the bathtub had a place where it had obviously been patched. We did have a fridge, but it was virtually impossible to store anything in, due to everything they had stored in there (for you to consume and then add to your bill). One window stayed fogged up the entire time (not sure why? The other never was). One of the lamps in our room would not turn on, and we couldn't figure out how to turn the other one off (finally found a little lever BEHIND the lamp that dimmed it).
I'm an IHG member, and we originally planned to stay somewhere else, but found The Brice had a Cyber Monday deal for a lower price, but claimed to have the same perks as my original choice. It was fine for the price that I paid, but not the price that the rooms originally go for. Honestly wish I would have just paid the extra and stayed at my original choice.
In all, it was mediocre; was it terrible? No, but not the 4-star it hails to be. I've stayed in some four stars, and this was not a 4-star stay.
