I contacted able regarding a plumber as I had a leaking pipe which was affecting my kitchen floor. Able quickly organised a same day visit and repair. The tradesman who visited our property was courteous and professional.
Able also followed up with a phone call after the job was completed to check we were happy with the work.

I would recommend Able to others.

I hired them for Hornet Next Removal. Engineer came and from distance did something for 5 mins and gave me loop hole paper work to sign where it says work carried has no guarantee! Off course it didn't work and its still there. They charged me GBP 110 for the visit and when I called back they said you have to pay again for the visit. Its a RIP OFF! Stay away.

Brilliant service replacing my broken lock, would very much recommend.

I was dubious how much this would cost but the feedback looked good so took a chance. What a great service. All done in half an hour. So glad I took a chance. Thank you.

Wasps nest removal -
Horrendous company. Charges us more than what we were quoted. Rang their customer service line who said they would listen to the phone quote and get back to us, after a week I had to chase them. They said we paid correctly so I asked for the phone recording to be sent by email but never received it so had to chase again! Their supervisor said it would be sent by Tuesday and yet again nothing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. One star was generous.

Work completed was great, efficient and professional. Admin back up not as good, but worked hard to sort out problem.

Dreadful. Two failed visits. Wrong phone number contact. 24 hours after contacting them. Would not recommend.

Booked a plumber for a Sunday to fix a constant leaky garden tap, arrived on time and was very pleasant. Resolved the issue with the garden tap and even had a look at the issue with the kitchen tap.
Nothing was too much trouble and was happy to chat away while he worked, socially distanced of course!

I was put through to Able Group by A2B Glass as I needed a conservatory doorway to be boarded up. I was under the impression that they offered a 24/7 service. Not so apparently as it seems that they don't have the staff!

Excellent professional service - sorted out a blocked kitchen drain in a few minutes.

Booked an appointment for an emergency call out took our card details and gave us a time slot. Called us an hour before the slot to advise they couldn't get anyone out til Tuesday. So we're now back to square 1 looking for another plumber with water coming through our ceiling. AVOID!

Whilst I am deeply grateful that you are set up to provide emergency plumbing services, for which I understand the need for a call-out charge, I have to say that I am profoundly disappointed with the service I received on Wednesday night.

Ok the guy was 2 hours late. That is understandable and you kept me informed of the delay (and the weather was awful).

However I had hoped that the person you sent might have been at least a competent plumber. He was not.

All he did was tighten up 3 joints, only one of which was actually leaking. He checked a fourth joint (a compression fitting) by touching it and claimed it was dry, but only after asking me to turn the heating on.

The following morning, when it had cooled, it was leaking worse than before. When I investigated the leaking joint I found that I could rotate it with minimal effort. The olive in the joint was clearly overcompressed and would never have sealed with further tightening alone. Your man made no effort to drain the system or dismantle the leaking joint. He even had the nerve to tell me that 90% of his jobs just involved tightening things up.

Today I have stripped it down using online tutorials, purchased and fitted a new radiator tail & compression joint and I no longer have a leak. In truth though it could have been bodged with a bit of PTFE if your man could have been bothered to actually do any plumbing instead of fannying about making small-talk.

Ok (expensive) lesson learned I guess. I am not likely to call you again and nor will I be recommending you to anyone else. I advise you to consider your recruitment policy. Plumbers not muppets in future eh?

Professional and friendly service

Graham arrived promptly, evaluated the problem and set to work to fix it. He worked quickly, cleanly, kept me informed as to what he was doing, and even unblocked the bathroom sink which was above and beyond the call of duty. I will definitely be using this company again.

The engineer arrived within the hour. He cleared the blocked drain very quickly from my house to where it became a shared drain, but the blockage only moved downstream. Within an hour it was backing up again. But because this was a shared drain I had to call Severn Trent out to unblock that! So the job was only half done. I think I would have been better off calling out ST in the first place. They would've charged the same but would've done a better job in the end.

Terrible company. Complete rip off! DO NOT USE. Charged my nan a pensioner 90 pound for a few drops of gel to rid ants nests and it didn't work. She called them back and they said they wouldn't come out again and would have to charge. Disgusting customer service. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

Rang at 2 advised would be sending someone to sort the door which couldn t be secured them at half past four decided to ring .. beware this company is not reliable willing to leave your property insecure

Came out within 4 hours of calling them, did exactly what they said they would. Polite and efficient called 20 minutes before arriving. Came back a week late again called 20 minutes before arriving, friendly and professional would defiantly recommend them.

I needed a replacement cistern for my toilet at home. This was ordered through the Able Group and it was supplied and installed by them with minimal disruption to my household. I'm very satisfied with their service.

Very unhelpful when their service was of no help in getting rid of bumble bees.

Called Able Group Plumbers yesterday as we had no hot water. They said they would send someone out today between 9am and 12 noon, at 8.45 they call and say no-one is coming out earliest they can do is tomorrow afternoon, that will mean I have been 4 days without water. Member of staff very unhelpful, I asked to speak to a manager also really poor customer service, basically said nothing they can do. I am a reasonable person, I know that people call in unwell, that is fine but this company needs to have a lesson in back up plans for when this happens and take a customer care course whilst they are at it! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN and I suggest the same to everyone else!! I have now called another plumber who is coming out today no problem.

Haven't come across such a poorly run business in my life. Arranged a wasp nest removal in mid August which made barely any difference and a "revisit" was promised. Called after a week but apparently you must wait 10 days before a revisit can even be considered (unlike any other wasp removal company).



DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY PEST/WASP REMOVAL JOBS. I believe I should be entitled a full refund for the fact the job was NOT carried out and an entire month has been wasted chasing when local companies can do the job for half the price with 100% guarantee.

Poor, came to visit the property re; rodents, I was told they could offer a service plan to keep the rodents at bay. Emailed the office several times, no response. I phoned them, told them i wanted to know the cost of the service plan, after several minutes on hold, I was told they do not do service contracts for residential properties. poor service

workman arrived approx 1 hour after my phone call for assistance, completed the job very efficiently, will use this firm again

This company are untrustworthy, unreliable and inefficient in my experience, avoid at all cost.

Take a booking at 2pm. Then at 4pm they ask the most sarcastic sounding idiot to call to say that they can't honour the booking after all and to try and manage without electricity until tomorrow. Absolute embarrassment of a company.

Had lock changed. They was quick and professional. Highly recommend.

I was told that new lock will be fitted to my sliding patio door, however a old lock and screw fitted in hole to capture lock by trade man. I phone the company to complain. I was told they will get in touch with trade man then get back to me. To date I haven't heard anything back from them.

Outstanding service, completed the job to perfect quality and much quicker than I was expecting which was great.

Three words to describe my experience with the Able Group: best in class.

A phone call at 9.30 was promptly answered and a locksmith arrived at 1.30pm. He protected the carpet and cleaned up after fitting a very secure lock. Excellent response and service.

I have my own Plumbing company I have a lots of local contract with landlord. We had a customer property with block drainage. We tried rods but unfortunately didn't work..I ran this company as they specialised in pressure flushing. They told me they would be there within 2 hours but never showed up I called them again then they gave me another time slot, never showed up !!! after several attempts of calling them ..and given the run around by there incompetent call staff to find out they would not be attending my customers house. Hence why I'm leaving this review you ABLE GROUP YOU CANT RUN A COMPANY SO BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE YOU IS TO GO AND WORK AT BURGER KING..
Wouldn't recommend this company at all poorly run can't even use a phone to return calls so flip burgers instead..if I ran my company like you do I would be ashamed ..you wanna take a look at my company reviews all 5 start's that's how a company should be run.

Booked electrician to install new electric hob, came on the day booked and very good price

Booked an emergency plumber as we had no water. Appointment booked for arrival in next few hours so didn t book another plumber of course. Didn t hear anything after the specified time, so chased with a. Phone call. They called back and said that the plumber got stuck at another job and so wouldn t be coming. Said they d come the next day but no specified time etc.

Not worth our stress, custom, patience or money so cancelled. This reminded me of mini cab companies before Uber days of being able to say Yes, the cab is coming and then you needing to just wait and wait regardless of the rubbish service.

I have found the service totaly unacceptable today,how dare you run away !! I have lived in my home over 20 years and havent had any problems what so ever with gas engineers mending my boiler but today theres a problem
The engineer did not introduce himself as I put my dog away
Asked basically if I have proper engineer look at my boiler throughout the years then started taking photos in my garden of my flu and of my boiler in the cupboard in my home without even telling me what he was doing or asking authority for photos he asked me what's the problem with the boiler ..I said my husband has told me to say it is the pressure relief valve as we keep having to top it up, he asked how long do you have to top up the boiler ?
I replied every hour half or so had then said thats good told me as you know what's the matter with your boiler and he will need a new valve and said there was even more wrong with it I will go and get your part and I will be back in a bit. And we go from there..1 hour later called back and so called Danny has wrote a report basically condemning my boiler and wont be comming back ?? Well at least tell me your not returning as I'm waiting for you to return
I asked engineer will I have to pay for him as hes been here 10 mins when he left going to get the part or does my time start when he returns hes reply was you havent got to pay for this

It was to my knowledge the engineer was returning..???? It would of been nice to be acknowledged in my own home as realy he hasn't said goodbye or told me anything just had be back oh my God been up since 7 am waiting for these guys omg total rubbish i said be nice to have another gas man to rely on as mine is not always available he even agreed.

All round very good service. Not as cheap as going direct to a local tradesman but efficient and easy.

Excellent service from start to finish, the advisor was very knowledgeable and provided me with an assurance of the legal status of the Bees and alternative services offered by Able Group. The price was provided before the booking was taken and confirmed. Within a couple of hours of my call Able Group attended my property and in a very professional manor had dealt with my request. I would recommend Able Group.

Excellent service from booking to completion. I received a call from the local plumber on the morning of the appt. He arrived within a few minutes of the timeslot allocated and was very pleasant. He dealt with the problem very efficiently.

Very helpful and reassuring on initial enquiry and were able to get us an appointment within 24 hours. The engineer who came out was very good and sorted the issue out for us. We were very pleased with the service provided by this company.

Called Able Group on the 21/05/2020 to iradcate a massive bee problem in the side of our property.
Engineer came out amd tried his best to deal with the problem, he informed us that if the bees had not gone at the end of 7 days we where to call back, so they could come and try again free of charge.
At the end of 7 days we still had a big problem, called them the first time to be told that they did not know when he could come back, called a second time the next day to be told they still did not know when he was coming, called a third time later that day to be told they could not contact their engineer, then called a forth time the next day to be told they still could not conatct their engineer, then called the fifth time on Monday 01/06/2020, we were assured that he would be there that day, only to be called later in the day by the engineer to tell is his van was not on the road on mondays, he assured us we would be there the following day.
Waited most of Tuesday for the engineer but by 2:30pm we called Able back to see what was happening to be told that he wasnt coming today but was coming the next day.
By this point we were so sick if being messed about demanded a full refund, at which point they changed there minds and said the engineer would here today (Tuesday)

If you are reading this DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WASTED.

The initial phone call was handled professionally and efficiently. Very helpful and an immediate appointment was booked.

as per other reviews 1* is all you can put. i wish I had read the reviews before booking this company! awful is all I can say. Have a bees nest under my shed... Man arrived was there not even 10mins, sprayed a bit of powder where they were flying in and at the side, no where near the shed. My daughter signed as she has no clue what he's doing! and trusted them. His note says, bees nest not visable.... really!! thats because it's under the shed! he was informed the shed was being removed, but assured his magic powder would work. Shed down, bees nest not near where he sprayed. charged 120.00 for nothing. called to complain and was told I would be charged again!! Avoid!!!

One pane of glass on my patio door was broken. They sent a glazier to look at it the following day. He showed me a quote but did not give me a written copy. I was told he could come to replace the window the following Wednesday at 8:30am. I phoned Able Group to ask for a written quote. One was sent, but it did not include the price! I phoned a further two times before someone sent me the right one. The glazier didn't arrive on Wednesday so I phoned Able Group who told me it had been booked for Thursday. Thursday came and Able Group phoned me to say that the glass wasn't ready but it would be on Friday. Friday came and so did a phone call saying it would now be Monday. I was at work on Monday so arranged it for the afternoon but had to come home early.
In the process of removing the old pane of glass, the glazier's assistant accidentally smashed it all over my hallway.

In fairness to the glazier, he swept it up properly , though he had to borrow my dustpan and brush and hoover as he didn't have either in the van(!)

When he'd finally finished, I checked the door and discovered the lock didn't work. He then offered to replace it and he put a new, better lock in. Able Group, consider this a zero star review for your service , but your glazier was good enough to knock 10% off and provide the replacement lock for free, and he did a decent job of cleaning up after himself so give him the two stars. He can put one on the back of each heel of his boots.

Apparently he'd been dealing with angry customers all day.

AVOID AVOID! Appointment booked in and nobody came after saying they did. After 6 phone calls to them and being told the engineer was refusing to come 'again' and one person on the phone that clearly doesn't care about a job very rude. On the final call told to just try elsewhere as they couldn't find anyone. To add this was just for a very simple quotation! No call back from management, so sums up the company really. I would honestly give this company another few years untill they go under as I'm sure the rest of the reviews will catch up with them also! I think they know exactly who is writing this review as I've literally hung up the phone 15mins ago. The few good reviews look like that's down to the engineers and not the company itself keep in mind before you call them!

First class service. The locksmith turned up on time. Within a few minutes, had spotted and corrected the fault with the door. Was told probable cost before booking the job. Best service ! Don't hesitate to use!!

I booked in with Able Group recently to unblock my drains. I called on the Sunday for them to come and help on the Monday. I then got a call on the Monday saying they couldn't make it, so rescheduled for Wednesday, which I agreed to - but was aware that the problem was getting worse by the hour. I appreciate it is a busy time of year, so was ok with it. I chased them on Wednesday to check the status and was informed they would call back to update. I was called only for them to say they couldn't make it......again. Let down twice - apologised on the phone but not very pleasant - if they can't do the work - don't book the jobs in. Poor

Told me they would be out in 60min for emergency gave price which was agreed by email..

20min later phoned back and said they couldn't help.

Disgusting service told them over the phone it was a ambulance call out and let me down. Will never phone this company again.

Rang Able Group when I was being inundated with bees. Within a couple of hours Craig arrived and explained that the tree bees were in the cavity. He sprayed some powder at the entrance and said it could take about 5 days to get rid of them. We have not seen a bee since he treated the area. A massive thanks to Able for sending Craig, my grandchildren can visit again.

Excellent service - quick and efficient clearing the blocked grid outside the kitchen within 30 minutes.

Paid extra for a same day call out, they called later that day to say they couldnt make it, the next day they showed up but couldnt fix the problem. I have since got my regular plumber to fix the problem for half the price, it took him a few minutes. 'able' group continues to aggressively pursue me for their fee, which i have disputed.

Blocked drains at holiday cottage 100 miles away - sorted within 4 hours - can`t recommend highly enough.

I called Able out to fit my gas cooker and they were out within 2 hours. The gas fitter was very pleasant and helpful, ensuring it was fully working before he left. I would certainly use them again and have no problem reccomending them.

This is the third time I have used the Able Group. Very courteous and helpful on the phone and their engineer was friendly and efficient. Would recommend.

At the end of our wits, they put us at ease and had an engineer with us within 5 hours and we had hot water before you could say heating is working, they had arranged a repair and done it in the time most plumbers too just to get back to us. Able get our best praise

They provided an excellent service throughout with my pest issue. They were very prompt in coming to the property, identifying issues and resolving. I'm very much a happy customer.

Very happy with the service we received. The phone call I made to book was very easy and staff helpful and told me exact cost and when the guy would be with us.
He arrived on time, very friendly and quickly got to work, solving the problem very efficiently. Overall problem sorted quickly at a reasonable cost, even though it was out of hours.

My front door mechanism was broken and I was effectively not able to get in or out of the front of the house as it was permanently jammed. Able provided a quote for the three most likely scenarios over the phone (and by email) and I was attended to within a few hours at a time that suited my availability. A pleasant and amiable guy turned up and identified the issue straight away and had it fixed within a 1/2 hour or so with the broken parts replaced. Can't complain at all - would definitely recommend to anyone in a similar scenario.

The engineers never showed up two days in a row. Upon calling them I was told that they were sorry and that they would try to get in contact with the engineer. This was at the end of June and to this day I have never heard anything back. Do not use this service. Absolute joke.

I would not even give a single rating to be honest. Completely relied on these people for 2 full days to send a plumber to check shower control water leak problem but they failed to keep their promise. They advertise for no call out but they also don t turn out even on reasonably prolonged time, atleast in my case. I would never go back to make a booking again with this able group.

Excellent service. Was promised within 2 hrs and engineer arrived after 1 1/2 hrs. Phoned to say he was near. Diagnosed and sorted blocked waste pipe in 1/2 hr. Removed a very large block of lime scale. Very professional and polite.

Called this company when we had rodents...rats...in our garage. We paid up front too bad! A technician came and laid poison. Returned 11 days later when I assured him they were not all gone.

They push their guarantee very strongly, but don't honour it. They get you to sign a sheet when they do the work and hidden in the small print is a disclaimer saying there's no guarantee on this piece of wor . Very underhand.
The reference number is either 3018128 or 30/8/28 its difficult to read.
I did make several calls to your office and spoke to a number of different people who all showed no interest in completing the job that you started, so I'm surprised you're coming back to me now. You've had ample time to resolve this previously.

I was looking for a locksmith in east devon on a Saturday evening as I was locked out of my house. Googled locksmiths and this company popped up, good website offering 24 hour service and a fast response and reassuring prose if you find yourself locked out. Called them, explained my situation and was told that no one was able to come out until Monday. We were one 80 and 60 year old stranded. Don't fall for their slick advertising, they can't stick to their own promises.

Had some gas and water pipes cut back very reliable company very tidy and professional and turned up when they said on time I will be recommeding this company to my friends and family Many Thanks Mrs j Newsome

Stay away from them! They are totally dishonest and are a rip off. They lied about changing the lock mechanism and charged us for a new one (which they did not install). Paid over GBP 300 in May 2019 to fix my door lock. After that the lock was not working perfectly but it was still working for about 7 months. We noticed that the workers did not change anything (but charged me for it!!) but still charged us the full price. Now the lock has stopped working completely and I am not able to lock the door at all. Called Able Group and was told that I had to pay the same amount once again (because the "warranty" was for 6 months only). Appalling service and appalling treatment of customers Absolutely not recommended.
UP: Had another locksmith today and now have to pay another GBP 300 which means the "work" of Able Group lasts for 6 months only. They have NOT changed what they charged me for. Absolutely appalling.

Useless - don't bother! Had a drainage emergency and they just kept stringing us along saying their engineer would be us with very soon. After 24 hours waiting we just cancelled and booked a local expert.

Called ABLE to ask about cat flap installation. The lady on the phone was really helpful and booked for me to get seen that day... within 45 mins a man was round to measure up. The customer support team really good and helpful on phone. The glass doesn t take that long to be ordered in and the guy arrived very prompt on the day of installation. Very happy.

Very poor service. Booked drain clearance. Engineer didn't turn up (Able Group use sub-contractors) on the day of the appointment. Booked another day ... same again, "Engineer not responding to calls". More time off work :( Offered yet another day but told "not 100% sure it will happen". Able Group are UNABLE to deliver!

Phoned up on a Saturday morning because we had a blocked drain. Someone came round 2 hours later and fixed the problem within an hour. Good customer service and good price (half the price I had been quoted elsewhere). Would definitely use again and recommend.

Our kitchen drain suddenly blocked in the week running up to Christmas. This meant we could not wash up or use the dishwasher. We called the Able Group and they got someone round within 24 hrs who cleared it, so all is well again. A brilliant service at a fair price. We will definitely be using them if we have any similar issues in the future.

Terrible company that book in jobs, make you wait indoors all day and when you try to call them you are one hold for 7mins. When you manage to get through to someone they then transfer you to another department where you have to wait an extra 8mins. Would NEVER recommend these time wasters!

Bunch of frauds and liars. Advertise themselves as "local" in Gosport. They are not local.

Got locked out of my house, so called for an emergency locksmith. Despite advertising 15-20 minutes response was told it would be 30 minutes, but ok they might be busy and there is a pandemic. 45 minutes later I get a call from the locksmith saying he only just got the call and would be with me in an hour "because there isn't anyone closer". He didn't seem to understand that I considered this shoddy service.

I would rather remain locked out of my house than give these people any money, which is why I told him not to bother coming. Honestly I regret that, I would rather have wasted an hour of his time like he and Able-Group did mine.
