Finally I saw the Marvel universe exhibit. It's like I'm 13 once again. Telus WOS really brings in the best show for everyone. A great place for families to bond together. I'd say keep it up in coming up with great family exhibits. It's worth my money to have been part of marvel universe at Telus WOS.

For the most part, I enjoyed it. I felt the price was fair.

The negatives - the planetarium smelled musty and the screen quality could be better. The observatory was shut down as it had snowed.

The positives - Lots of educational exhibits. Fun exhibits, especially in the body area. Interesting mind boggling puzzles throughout. Nice gift shop. Hours are much better than their abysmal counterpart in Calgary.

Seriously if you have been there in the last 20 years dont bother going back as not much has changed. The kids area is tiny and everything is kinda nasty now. Needs an update asap. Not a 50 dollars experience.

A great place to visit, they have feature exhibits that change every year which give something new to see.

For kids there are a lot of interactive learning stations, summer camps and play area.

The facility is going to be expanded to add more floor space and exhibits.

Honestly it's a world class facility and it's a good addition to the city.

Only temporary exhibitions would make sense to visit. The rest needs renovation and as soon as possible. Half of the it is not working or damaged... That place was the first where I regret that I bought annual pass instead of single admission.

Grateful that Edmonton has a space for people to experience dinosaurs, and space and special exhibits such as Terry Fox. The IMAX movies are great and the science garage is great hands on for the kids. In the hallways they have hands on science experiments where you can understand science and physics. Thank you donors and philanthropist s alike for keeping and improving the world of science.

Was there today with family! Honestly the price for entry is a bit expensive for not so much of fun stuff to do for littles ones. For General admission zeidler dome was included and that was it, the rest was ok! The space science was nice!

It sucks that you have to pay more for the rest.

As a first time being there today, I wasn't given enough information of what is included on general admission, I was so disappointed that I spent $80 for not so much interesting stuff except the done and the space science. The rest was ok!
Overall it was a good experience but wish it was better to give it a 5 star.

Like I said WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!!!

It was my first time watching an IMAX movie at TWOS. The movie Extreme Weather was great and the theatre was clean. My only problem the glasses were greasy/dirty and even though I had no problem getting another clean pair from the attendant, that pair had scratched up lenses.

The new feature exhibits are always of high quality. In the past there has been Sherlock Holmes, Star Wars, Narnia, Indiana Jones and Harry Potter feature exhibits to name a few. Some permanent exhibits have not been renovated in a number of years and are starting to show their age, but they are still a good time and I visit them everytime I go.

I watched MESMERICA for $50. I just can't recommend this to anyone. The first ten minutes are pretty cool................then its 50 minutes of watching a screen saver from 1995 while music from a garage lid is played in the dark!

Really fun place to spend time as a child or an adult. Exhibits are great. Looking forward to future ones. Some parts of exhibits do have glitches or didn't work. Super clean environment. IMAX was great - sound and visual quality.

Disappointed with the new space gallery. Lots of empty space punctuated by video games and a giant dart game that takes up half a room. Lots of eye candy without a lot of content. One exception was the theatre that tells the lunar landing story, which is great and creative and held the kids' attention.

Much better planetarium shows than previous - they used to have pretty mediocre regular videos played on the dome, and now they are back to the awe-inspiring wonder of the full-dome and actual images of stars and planets.

Excellent School programming - creative fun learning that produced engaged listeners. Kudos! The nature area is a great exploration space that not over-monitored and gives kids room to engage their senses.

Finally, what annoyed me enough to write this review in the first place was the price of the food. I ordered veggie samosas for $6.50 and got two (literally) bite-size triangles that were tasty but hardly worthy of being called a snack, let alone a meal option. Most of the meals were in the $13 to $16 range, which is quite a burden on top of what I considered to be an overpriced entrance fee, and which doesn't even include all of the exhibits.

Had an awesome ladies night here at the IMAX .
Enjoyed a glass of wine and a classic movie .
The consession Needs a tip function or tip jar for the employees serving there, it s a licensed establishment now so they should be allowed to accept tips .

There was lots of variety! The exhibits were very cool and educational! I saw a nature documentary titled Great Bear Rainforest in IMAX! The highlight of my visit was checking out the Marvel: Universe of Superheroes! This exhibit is only running until February 17th! Come see it while you have the opportunity!

This place is great for kids and adults! The admission prices are reasonable and there's lots to do and see. The new space exhibit is a great upgrade (it was really needed) and there's plans to expand the facility even more, can't wait to see what else is to come! The dome is amazing, definitely a must see if you visit.

Overall great facility and kids love it there. We have done summer camps in past and great. This year we booked 3 children for summer camps and soon realized it overlapped with a family holiday. I called 3 days later to reschedule and they said we would need to pay fee .I understand this is policy but given we cancelled months before camp started and only days after booking I expected an exception. We were even willing to reschedule to a different week.

The science center itself is fantastic. The Star Wars Identities was a lot of fun - wish it was there forever! Bathrooms are extremely clean and you can tell they put a lot of time in making the center look good
The staff working the cafe are terrible, though, put a damper on my trip. Rude, loud and generally didn't care about the people they are serving. I would want to ask why hire people who do not want to be there? Second hand embarrassment for the people they serve.

While spending our vacation here in Edmonton, my family had a chance to visit the science centre and my children loved it! so much scientific material that they could learn, and the wonderful staffs would answer all the question that my children would throw at them! Wow, thank you for such a memorable experience for me and my family :)

My personal opinion is that TWOSE is incredibly overpriced for what it has to offer. A person cannot just pay to see a feature exhibit, like the Marvel exhibit. Instead, they have to pay additionally the science centre admission cost even if they've already seen all other galleries multiple times over. This is a huge deterrent as adults are paying an extra $24 for absolutely no reason. Adults have been to TWOSE from when they were kids and through their teen years. They've already seen everything. People should be allowed to just pay for a featured exhibit because they've already spent years accessing what the building generally has to offer. Additionally, the base pricing of the science centre is not accessible for lower income families whose children may actually benefit from the
learning and experience. At $17 a child and $24 per adult, a family with 3 kids would be paying $100, which is only general admission. If TWOSE actually made their facility financially acceptable for all people, they would probably get more income and visitors in comparison to what they're doing now.

I want to give this place 5 stars but it s given me enough reasons not to. The front desk staff are indifferent and don t seem interested in providing great service. It s mostly the ladies, they seem unhappy and I know that they can t act like robots, but that s the nature of their job to at least smile and acknowledge that you re standing there waiting in the members only line. We waited so long last time and there were two people at the desk, two others in the background no one even bothered to say Hey, we ll just be a little longer or... 15 minutes The exhibits feel half done, like we ll slap this together, whatever. There s no love and you can sense it. We watched the Halloween show upstairs in the Zeidler Dome and it was so disappointing! It was a simple laser show that my kids could ve put together but with better music. Boring! We left early. The only good show here is put on by a young man, blond with a thin frame. He s usually showing how substances react (fire, gases, etc.) and what makes it fun and engaging is that he has a great personality and treats kids kindly. He alone gets a 5/5. Another positive is the hot dogs in the cafeteria, they re really good! One thing I don t like is that the aprons in the Discoveryland exhibit are not helpful in keeping your child dry. The front curves inwards so all the water falls on the kid s pants and shoes. Also, at times there s not enough of them for all the kids attending. I suggest you bring a change of clothes or plan to be there last, just before going home. The little nursing room there needs more attention more often because it can get really smelly, I don t know... maybe they need to add a fan if there s isn t one there already. A sign showing that it is a nursing room would help too. A couple of my friends didn t know it was there and they ve been there before. Another thing was that for months I tried getting them to help me receive the monthly email. When I was there I asked the young lady if she could let the person in charge know about the issue and to please have them contact me. Instead she wrote the email down and gave me the card, told me to send an email! What? I m already there, wouldn t it be just as easy to leave a note? I just received the first one and our membership expires in January. We won t be renewing it.

Did the SOS zombies event, a complete money grab. Event was poorly organized and overbooked for the space that was used. Got there at 8:00 and did not start the game until 1130, "training" was fun but when it was complete we were herded into the imax theatre for a 45 minute, grade six level lecture on viruses and brains that completely killed the mood followed by another move to the planetarium for another 30 minute lecture on the rules which were different from the training we received prior. Game started at 1130 and was done by 1215, over 120 people were crammed into the game space and the zombies never had a chance to actually scare anybody before they were taken out. Would not reccomend, the professional actors were good, but the zombies consisted of rubber masks and nothing else. Enjoy the World of Science otherwise but there special events have burned us twice now.

I think there are some good features to this place but there are also some flaws.

Good
There is alot of different areas to view which is good for small children to keep them busy
A decent amount of room to move around easily unless you have a double stroller then not
Very friendly staff
Takes a good few hours to go through everything

Bad
Expensive
Not good with double strollers
Been here twice and there are always so many tables in the cafeteria saying reserved
Having the staff calling out numbers for food is horrible when there are 100+ children screaming and running around
No maps showing where to go

Half of the exhibits are broken, damaged, and dirty. Everything is very outdated and needs to be upgraded! I really regret paying near $60 general admission (which doesnt include the feature exibits) for 3 people for a day pass we didnt even stay 2 hours!

We've got a family membership, which is a ridiculously good deal if you come here a few times a year. Lots of activities for young kids and enough stuff to do that you can come once a month and not run out of interesting things for well over a year. Hourly live shows with audience participation, movies in the Star Theatre, lots to do.

Our family enjoyed a four hour visit, including the wonderful but slightly macabre Sherlock Holmes exhibit. We love the unfailing interactivity of the exhibits and the gentle introduction to scientific and mathematical concepts in a truly fun way. We didn't take in any of the shows, but did see an impressive fire tornado, and the purple coats appeared to have a good command of their showmanship. A few of the exhibits seemed a little aged, but fun nonetheless.

Great place to take kids to learn and have fun. The food court has good options for food. The price is high if you only go once but you should consider getting an annual pass if you go several times a year. You can also apply your annual pass to other science centers across Canada. They offer summer camps as well.

I love it here. So many cool exhibits and the Imax shows will blow your mind. We used to get stoned and watch the laser shows in high school. Now I bring my daughter there and realize it's just as amazing sober! I wish they still had the original Rube Godlberg machine out front. I remember staring at it for minutes on end in amazement as a child.

I have always enjoyed coming to the Science centre in Edmonton with the kids and disagree with the reviewer who said most of the displays are outdated or broken? The new Science Garage (replacing the forensic investigation exhibit) feature is great and the kids played on the climbing wall for about 20 minutes before I made them move on. I do think the body gallery with the senses and gallery of the gross etc needs to be changed up and updated but the displays still all work.
This is a great place to come see feature films in the IMAX theatre both old and new. Last summer we saw Back to the Future and this summer Guardians of the Galaxy 2. You get to choose the seats you want as it is reserved seating and it is a small theatre and laid out such that the people in front of you do not interfere with the view. Guardians was shown in 3D and it was a better quality than the 3D shown at our local theatre, not sure if due to the screen or the quality of the 3D glasses they use here.
They updated the cafeteria in the last year and there are more food choices now, from made to order burgers and Poutine and pre made sandwiches that are grab and go. If you have a membership here make sure you show it at the cafeteria to get a discount.
The gift shop is small but full of lots of interesting things for young to old. You also get a discount if you are a member.

So happy that we visited this science centre. Staff had informed us I f you have a membership your entrance fee is included for all other science centres across North America. Just remember to bring your membership cards with you or some proof of membership.
Parking is also free as well and there are many spots available. You ll need a full day here to explore!

This place is great for families and children of all ages. Curious City is great for 2-6yo and the workshops are great for 7-12yo. Washrooms are very clean and kid friendly and cafeteria has plenty of seating and a great menu at fair prices. The current Myth Busters exhibit is a hit with the older kids and adults. The staff are also very helpful and awesome with kids.

One of the main attractions, in Edmonton, if you live here or are on short visit as tourist. Lot of inform-tainment,( if you can twist the grammar a bit). Science, plays, visuals and good eating area, in the same complex, make it a nice outing with kids,

Nice ambiance and modern architect makes it a must place to visit,

Don t miss the planetarium!!

Great place to kill an afternoon with the kids. There's a few standard attractions like movies and the water play area (Discovery Zone, always a favourite of my little-ones), as well as additional Exhibit areas. There's almost always something new for the children to check out which is usually fairly interesting for the adults too. Full restaurant with decent food and a gift shop area to pick up a science-y souvenir on the way out. It's also well maintained and clean.

Compared to the science worlds in Vancouver and Calgary, the Edmonton one falls short in several ways: toddler area is subpar, exhibits are not as interesting, and there aren t a lot of exhibits. It s always busy here as well... swarming with kids on field trips or camps during the summer (especially the toddler area). On a positive note, staff is friendly and the building is clean. Special exhibits are often interesting.
