For this science museum I do enjoy going there from time to time. The exhibits for the most part stay the same from space to health. What I do like is the changing exhibits that come from Body and Animals Worlds to Pixar. The dome theatere is nice as well to see the screen from all directions.

I visited it yesterday with my 12 years old son. Half of the displays are either not working or closed for renovations including the star theatre. The authority should close it completely rather than getting money from people's pocket for nothing, it's kind of cheating! Moreover, the displays are the same as these were four years ago. No new stuffs are added. I think it is one of the worst science museum in the entire country.

Excellent even for infants!

I was so pleasantly surprised to find a great play area for my son and his friend, both 1 year old and neither walking.

THANK YOU for providing good baby-friendly options.

I didn't take much time through the rest of the displays so can't comment on those.

Our family loves the Telus World of Science. We purchased a family pass last year and will be doing so again this year. The exhibits are fun and interactive. We have enjoyed the visiting exhibits as well. Out recent favorite was Sherlock Holmes. It was fantastic!

Hands down the best place to bring kids for a few hours a week. Tons of fun, interactive exhibits. Great cafeteria with reasonable prices and good sized portions. The new space gallery is great. The new planetarium is amazing, my kiddo and I love laying down on the big bean bags and touring the galaxy. The rotating exhibits keep things fresh, especially when they're free admission exhibits. You have to work around the school classes, especially in the kids area (the new one seems like it'll be bigger thankfully). If you're allergic to loud, excited children then you might want to stick to early mornings or the adult-only Dark Matters nights. If you have kids, or want to recapture that feeling you had when you were a loud, excited child visiting the Space and Science Centre on a school trip, this is a definite recommend. And it has free parking! A GIANT free parking lot full of deliciously free parking. Freeeeeee!! (Apologies, I'm experiencing residual trauma from my visit to the new museum)

Great place for discovering and to encourage our kiddos imagination and love for learning.
Several great exhibition are coming soon.
Our kids favorites, "robots dinasours and body part", games for toddlers and more.
Lots of parking space, easy access facility, family friendly!

Upon entering, we were very impressed, the volunteers with kind and warm (it was a cold day!) The front desk with both patient and informative. We look forward to use this over the year with our children. Definitely worth signing up for the year if you can!

I thought this place was technologically advanced but I clogeed the toilet. I told staff and they got mad at me. Maybe if they want people to flush fake dinosaur fossils down the toilet they should put up a sign. I was just experimenting.

We've been here numerous times, they bring in new exhibits periodically so there's lots of things of interest for adults as well as children. For those people who have complained in their reviews about school children pushing "regular paying" people out of the way, I can assure you these kids have had to FUND RAISE very hard & have PAID FOR THEIR ADMISSION! They are excited to see the exhibits & may have traveled several hours on a school bus: this is an educational, fun place for ALL children! Please don't get me wrong, I believe kids should have manners! It's not the responsibility of the Staff to discipline children unless they're harming the exhibits & the chaperones can only do so much. Perhaps if you don't want to deal with busloads of school kids come at off peak times.

Good way to spend a rainy afternoon. Was there during the body worlds exibit, which was quite interesting and well worth it if you are not too squirmy. Lots of kids of course, but they are short and easy to push away if needed.

Absolutely sucked. Boring. Nothing really to see or do. My kid was bored and I was more bored. The only thing that was interesting was the curiosity exhibit, but I could go to an indoor playgroup for a third of the price and my kid would've had more fun.
Complete waste of money and time. Don't waste yours.

I considered turning around and returning to the car, allowing my memories to remain untarnished, but the girlfriend encouraged me further. And good thing to, because the TELUS Science World is still amazing. I returned to my youth, ready and willing to being enveloped in the science I fell in love with, the science that awoke me to the truths of the world. Not going to lie, I felt a little out of place the majority of the exhibits are for children, and despite wanting to channel my inner-toddler, I was forced to avoid them. However, I still must praise the polish of the exhibits themselves, especially one particular display of an active representation of stellar bodies by projecting video upon a spherical surface. The illusion was fantastic in recreating the Earth, Sun, Moon, and Mars, only slightly marred when my towering frame walked in front of a projector.

The permanent exhibits are appealing, and I appreciated that old wireframe moon lander simulator was still here after thirty years. Damn you girlfriend for making me remain an adult. I wanted to play! No, I don t want to leave early. I never wanted to be a child again more, not that I needed much of an excuse to act like one. Hell, I ve always considered myself just a cheap facsimile of an adult poorly controlled by an immature mind fumbling over controls, ever vigilante for those brief moments when no one was looking in order to play with toys again.

Perhaps my positive experience was fortified by the seasonal feature, Dinosaurs Unearthed. For those who need reminding, Dinosaurs are always awesome in any form they take, scientifically accurate or not. Whatever device you employ, be it genetic cloning, time travel, or alien transplantation, there s no reason dinosaurs should not be included in a story. I always though E.R. would ve been more interesting if George Clooney had been replaced by a diplodocus. You would think considering our visit was a mere three days after touring the Royal Tyrrell Museum, that I would ve been tired of dinosaurs, but clearly you don t appreciate the appeal of giant lizards roaming the Earth millions of years before man. I think that fact alone is what turned me away from religion...well, that and Star Trek. Man they need to put dinosaurs in Star Trek. Well, I guess there was the Gorn, but that hardly--ahem, where was I. Right.

In fact, the variations between the two exhibits is worth noting. At Royal Tyrrell, the majority of exhibits were skeletons, while the exhibits at the TELUS Science World were animatronic representations of living animals beautiful, colored, feathered dinosaurs. That alone should be enough of a draw, but no, because The Margaret Zeidler Theatre is still functioning.

One of the largest and coolest dome theaters you re ever likely to see, the Margaret Zeidler Theatre is the dominant reason I come to Science World, and now soon to be the only real reason to visit Edmonton in its entirety. If allowed, I would sit for every film, twice even. I miss the old Zeiss optical-mechanical projector that thing in the center that looked like the chaos gate-creating warp drive from Event Horizon. Alas, the increasing failure and cost of parts, and the efficiency of digital projectors made maintaining the old goliath uneconomical, but it didn t appear to affect the resulting experience.

I am going to miss the TELUS Science World, as it was the only spot worth visiting in Edmonton. Although still remarkable, and remaining the top of a very short-list of places to visit in Edmonton, it s simply not enough for me to make the diversion in future trips. Thank you TELUS Science World for influencing my childhood and remaining steadfast in your quality against the depreciating value of the city around. I could finally be a kid again.

It was sooo busy and there really was not a whole lot to do. I was especially surprised about the lack of interesting exhibits. I am from Saskatchewan and having been to the Regina science center i was very disappiinted wirh the Edmonton one, the Regina one is way better.

With the construction, wheelchair accessibility was a bit more of a challenge (ie narrow area, bumpy walkways) but service was great, staff very helpful, especially with restrictions from covid. Imax is never disappointing.

Our kids ALWAYS have a great day when we come! It's fantastic to have a place where you can take toddlers and tweens and everyone is happy. We have an annual family pass and find them to be great value for money. It can be hard to enjoy the displays when it is really busy, but we try to go at not peak times and it's much better.

The Science Centre itself is great! My grievance is with The Purple Pear Restaurant. We ate lunch there around 1pm and it was difficult to find a table as the majority of them were horribly dirty! Staff did not appear to have the time to clean them efficiently. I also found the restaurants system for delivering food to tables to be horribly flawed and a waste of time. First it took a bit for staff to explain the process - that you go sit down and a staff member will come around shouting your order number. Then to see this in action - I felt bad for staff having to walk all around the space shouting numbers and waiting for someone to respond. This system would be so much simpler if you just gave customers a table number to bring back to their table and the staff simply have to look for the number. Pretty annoying for everyone to have to hear numbers being shouted over and over again.
Also I have to add that I was shocked to learn that the restaurant only had TWO highchairs! Come on! You should have 20 highchairs for how many families come through with small children! It made it very difficult to enjoy our meal when we had to have our toddler sit on our lap to eat.

With some minor changes I could see this being a nice place to eat.

Science can be a lot cooler and far more interesting than what the exhibits reveal.

The level of science demonstrated is far more interesting to children than teenagers and adults.

I feel they could have put more efforts into the construction of the exhibits - they seem old and outdated, and some demos did not even work.

It's also a bit costly.

The iMax and the Star theatre is really the valued point of interest here.

By sure to check which shows and presentations are available at any given time.

It's been a while since I've been at Telus world of science. Probably still called the space and science centre at the time. The facility is top notch, as it is a city of Edmonton agency. The science section was really cool too. I went for the marvel but saw everything in the facility. Very good afternoon spent at Telus world of science. I particularly enjoyed the robotics activity! Staff very friendly and helpful. I loved the ambience of the marvel exhibit. Missed the iron man section, but the rest of the exhibit was awesome. I would have loved to see a full sized ghost Rider motorcycle in the exhibit and the suit from the not so loved Daredevil film from 2003! Looking forward to my next visit. Cheers.

They need to either have more staff at the nature exchange or limit trades to 1 or 2 per visit. It's a great concept but kids are waiting 20+ minutes to talk to the one person on duty.
We really enjoyed the science garage and the activities. Kids ages 5,6,7,8 spent the whole day and could have stayed much longer.

This is a wonderful venue for children and they can return again and again. The Science Garage is great. I would recommend bringing your own food if possible, for the cafe does not have many healthy options, the quality of the food is poor, and the service is often slow. In contrast, the cafe at the RAM is much better.

Staff is super friendly - many different things to do. Have come here for a few of the different events - Harry Potter, angry birds and now Pixar. The kids absolutely love it here! A little more on the pricey side, but definitely worth it! There are some gross things to experience in regards to bodily functions, which my son absolutely loves!

The price is absolutely worth admission to TWOS if you actually take everything it includes in. It's a really great place in the city to take kids 8 and under. They are so occupied in a way that also helps them learn a lot. And their HUGE play place has a giant science water table, a mock kids plane with serving trays and light up cockpit! So cool. My daughter played in the plan alone for 30 minutes. There's also I bunch of giant building blocks, giant keyboard you walk on, a 3 and under section and much more.
There's demonstrations all the time and the staff are fun and helpful.
There's a restaurant on site. And a super fun gift shop.
If you want to visit more than twice in a year it's worth getting an annual pass.
There so much going on at TWOS that I can't even describe it all. So I'll attach some pictures.

Oh there's also a revolving rock wall. Super cool!

Just go check it out.

Great way to spend a day learning about all kinds of things, especially now while the museum is out of commission. Great with kids from toddler on up. Traveling exhibits vary hugely and cost extra(~30$) but have so far lived up to the hype. Hot tip- try an annual pass if you plan to visit more than twice!

Interesting stuff. I recommend of not buying your ticket for an entry later than 2 hours before it closes since that's the only amount of time you will get to visit. They might let you visit only for 15 minutes past the closing time.

Great place to take your kids. The new curiouscity play area is awesome.
The restaurant has really good food
The feature exhibits are always interesting and changing
The only thing is that admission is pricey but for a family of 4+ if you buy the year pass it pays for itself after two visits.
